  1. I received this diagram to post and would like to know it meaning and who actually created it.
  2. I like the cross symbol used in this fashion.
  3. All I am Christian, Jew, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, sufi, and zen. I am the known to all religions and cultural systems. I exist in the East and the West, out of the ocean and up from the ground, natural and ethereal, I am the composer of all elements. I exist, I am the creator of this world and the next, I am the author of Adam and Eve and all origin stories. My thought is Creation, creating space from the spaceless. Both body and soul. My beloved belong to me, have seen the two worlds as one that I have let be known, first, last, outer, inner, all conscious righteous spirit being. — Luke Wilbur —
  4. Would the Sufi Divine message be the understanding what is love? This is similar to the teachings of Jesus. I will learn the spiritual path of peace through understanding the sacred sounds of 'summati.' There are three ways of seeking God in the human heart. The first way is to recognize God the divine in every person, and to care for every person with whom we come in contact, in our thought, speech, and action. Human personality is very delicate. The more living the heart the more sensitive it is; that which causes sensitivity is the love element in the heart, and love is God. The person whose heart is not sensitive is without feeling; his heart is not living, but dead. In that case the divine spirit is buried in his heart. A person who is always concerned with his own feelings is so absorbed in himself that he has no time to think of another. His whole attention is taken up with his own feelings: he pities himself, worries about his own pain, and is never open to sympathize with others. He who takes notice of the feeling of another person with whom he comes in contact practices the first essential moral of Sufism. The next way of practicing this religion is to think of the feeling of the person who is not at the moment before us. One feels for a person who is present, but one often neglects to feel for someone who is out of sight. One speaks well of someone to his face, but if one speaks well of someone when he is absent, that is greater. One sympathizes with the trouble of someone who is before one at the moment, but it is greater to sympathize with one who is far away. The third way of realizing the Sufi principle is to recognize in one's own feeling the feeling of God, and to realize every impulse that rises in one's heart as a direction from God. Realizing that love is a divine spark in one's heart, one blows that spark until a flame may rise to illuminate the path of one's life. The symbol of the Sufi Order, which is a heart with wings, is symbolic of its ideal. The heart is both earthly and heavenly. The heart is a receptacle on earth of the divine spirit, and when it holds the divine spirit it soars heavenward; the wings picture its rising. The crescent in the heart symbolizes responsiveness; it is the heart that responds to the spirit of God that rises. The crescent is a symbol of responsiveness because it grows fuller by responding more and more to the sun as it progresses. The light one sees in the crescent is the light of the sun. It gets more light with increasing response, so it becomes fuller of the light of the sun. The star in the heart of the crescent represents the divine spark reflected in the human heart as love, which helps the crescent toward its fullness. The Sufi Message is the message of the day. It does not bring theories or doctrines to add to those already existing, which puzzle the human mind. What the world needs today is the message of love, harmony, and beauty, the absence of which is the only tragedy of life. The Sufi Message does not give a new law. It wakens in humanity the spirit of brotherhood, with tolerance on the part of each for the religion of the other, and with forgiveness from each for the fault of the other. It teaches thoughtfulness and consideration, so as to create and maintain harmony in life; it teaches service and usefulness, which alone can make life in the world fruitful and in which lies the satisfaction of every soul.
  5. I came by this quote from the Book of Mathew, Chapter 11, Verse 25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do."
  6. I find it fascinating that the Greek Hippocratic Oath taken by medical physicians and healthcare professionals curses those who are in practice of abortions, euthanasia, assisted suicide, and drug administered executions. I swear by Apollo, the healer, Asclepius, Hygieia, and Panacea, and I take to witness all the gods, all the goddesses, to keep according to my ability and my judgment, the following Oath and agreement: To consider dear to me, as my parents, him who taught me this art; to live in common with him and, if necessary, to share my goods with him; To look upon his children as my own brothers, to teach them this art; and that by my teaching, I will impart a knowledge of this art to my own sons, and to my teacher's sons, and to disciples bound by an indenture and oath according to the medical laws, and no others. I will prescribe regimens for the good of my patients according to my ability and my judgment and never do harm to anyone. I will give no deadly medicine to any one if asked, nor suggest any such counsel; and similarly I will not give a woman a pessary to cause an abortion. But I will preserve the purity of my life and my arts. I will not cut for stone, even for patients in whom the disease is manifest; I will leave this operation to be performed by practitioners, specialists in this art. In every house where I come I will enter only for the good of my patients, keeping myself far from all intentional ill-doing and all seduction and especially from the pleasures of love with women or men, be they free or slaves. All that may come to my knowledge in the exercise of my profession or in daily commerce with men, which ought not to be spread abroad, I will keep secret and will never reveal. If I keep this oath faithfully, may I enjoy my life and practice my art, respected by all humanity and in all times; but if I swerve from it or violate it, may the reverse be my life.
  7. This may be a leap, but it appears the Ebbonite Community is the closest link to Christianity, Islam, and Judaism.
  8. Ebionite Community are strick monotheists worshiping Yahweh, the Elohim of Israel in a renewed covenant but Torah observant way through the teachings of Yahshua ben Yosef.
  9. Would you say that we need to understand the difference between Arab nationalism and Political Islam?
  10. The Basilica of San Vitale is a church in Ravenna, Italy and one of the most important examples of early Christian Byzantine art and architecture in western Europe. The central section is surrounded by two superposed ambulatories. The upper one, the matrimoneum, was reserved for married women. One of the series of mosaics in the lunettes above the triforia depict sacrifices from the Old Testament: The left wall, central lunette depicts Abel and Melchizedek bringing their offerings to the altar. http://www.templestudy.com/2008/09/09/the-seal-of-melchizedek-part-2/ I recommend clicking on the above link for more information on the subject.
  11. The video was disabled, but I clicked on the link to watch it on Youtube. I think the premise of Divide and Conquer is good. But, I do not believe that it is being orchestrated in the way you think. So many groups have their own agendas (make money to preach particular belief) that overlap with others that it appears to be orchestrated. But, I see it in a different light. Top financed organizations are very aware of what organizations benefit their cause and what organizations do not. The ones that support their cause they promote and the ones that are threat they demote. These top organizations use money and sometimes whatever is necessary to support their mission. But realize they are just mortals like you and I.
  12. I went to Mormon service last week. I was quite impressed with the whole congregation. They are truly devout, family, and community oriented. While having children and young adults as Aaronic and Melchizedek priests was completely foreign to me, I was captivated by their purity. After service the congregation splits up and goes into priestly education. I really enjoyed the discussion.
  13. People have been asking me to come up with an ornament that is both patriotic and religious. So, I came up with symbols that all faiths recognize. The one that I worry is the All Seeing Eye. I view it as the Creator. Why are these two passages from Sirach in Catholic bible so different? I am hoping one of theologians that post here can help http://www.newadvent...ible/sir014.htm 14:22 Blessed is the man that shall continue in wisdom, and that shall meditate in his justice, and in his mind shall think of the all seeing eye of God. http://www.usccb.org/bible/sirach/14 14:22 Who pursue her like a scout, and watch at her entry way;
  14. It appears that both candidates economic plans do not add up. One depends on government stimulating the economy and increasing debt. The other depends on big business and finance to stimulate the economy and still increases debt. Both trickle down plans hope to increase the tax base. I hope we stop the name calling and start moving toward a middle ground where government and business work together to rebuild our infrastructure and lower our debt. We are the greatest nation when we are not divided. Finally, WE THE PEOPLE need to start buying locally here in the United States. And WE THE PEOPLE should honor the businesses that have stayed here in America as true patriots to our country.
  15. The Hydrogen House Project is a 501©(3) non-profit organization dedicated to education and the pursuit of clean and renewable energy technologies. The organization was founded by inventor Mike Strizki in 2011. Strizki gained international notoriety in 2006 when he converted his home in Hopewell, New Jersey, to run exclusively on solar and hydrogen power. With grants from the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, as well as his own personal funds, Strizki was able to complete the Hydrogen House, the first solar-hydrogen residence in North America. Strizki has since offered educational tours of his home to show how effective the system is at providing clean, safe, renewable energy. His house is completely off the grid, and the only byproducts of his system are chemically pure water and medical grade oxygen. The Hydrogen House Project plans to move forward with Strizki's research and development efforts in the renewable energy sector, investigating practical applications for solar, hydrogen, fuel cells and other clean energy technologies. Side-by-side with these research efforts, the organization will educate the public through guided tours of the Hydrogen House, presentations, student internships, research projects, and events. http://www.hydrogenhouseproject.org/
  16. LDS does not own the Salt Lake City Tribune. They own the Deseret News. The publication has an interesting timeline of what happened in Benghazi.
  17. I wish that Iran and Israel could learn to better respect each other.
  18. Last night's debate was one of the best I have ever watched. I loved that China's economic policy was a major topic. But, the Bipartisan currency manipulation bill that passed in the Senate is collecting dust on Speaker Boehner's desk. Neither Romney or Obama pushed him to put it on the House floor for a vote. Many Congressional Republicans and Democrats said they would vote for it. So it begs the question whether cracking down on China is just empty words to appease the public. It is time to stop letting China leveraging the money we owe them on our Economy. China's takeover of Wall Street should wake up Americans to the reason why the finance sector is fighting tooth and nail not to be taxed on foreign investments and infrastructure. Just an aside. I do not blame China for their policy. They are doing what is best for their self interest. But, I do blame both politicians, business and consumers, and myself for not buying more American made goods and services. Bringing back the supply chain is good for our country's econosystem (economic system). Big fish and little fish need to be swimming together. I try to thank every business owner I meet for taking the risk and hiring people. I want them to know that they are patriots too. We do not just want them, We need them to make this country last.

  20. Last night on CNN, Jim Lewis of the Center for Strategic and International Studies, was discussing the unpredictability of Iran's future Cyberattacks. This is a major concern. But, what was more unnerving is his comment on why China will not attack American banks. Go 47 seconds into the video. http://security.blogs.cnn.com/2012/10/15/u-s-officials-believe-iran-is-behind-recent-cyberattacks/ China's takeover of Wall Street should be one of the main issues the candidates should be discussing tonight. I do not blame them at all. Some people made huge fortunes allowing this to happen.
  21. The art of politics has degraded to sensationalist sound bytes that exaggerate differences. I think the American public is growing weary of this political division. Further, I believe the both the conservative and liberal media has turned what should be objective news to pundit entertainment that dilutes understanding of the path these two patriots want our great nation is to go. The last two debates have revealed common ground on major economic, social, and national security positions taken by both sides of aisle. I consider this a great achievement. On national issues, both Romney and Obama think their opponent and their opponents party loves America, both believe this administration inherited a tough economic situation, giving mortgages to citizens not qualified was a big reason for the recession, Wall Street needs to be regulated for its part in the role in the recession, both parties took stimulus money, both parties agreed on a billion dollar cut to defense if they could not find common ground on the budget, bringing tax rates down is critical, both will encourage small business growth, keeping Social Security sound, protecting Medicare, seniors are still getting drug choices, both believe in bringing healthcare cost down, physicians should get paid by performance and not by number of treatments, both will remove mortgage loopholes for the citizens in higher income brackets, both believe in energy independence, education is the future, businesses need to team up with community colleges to properly train workforce, and both candidates would permit abortions from rape incest, and life of the mother, and both sides do not want to keep borrowing from China. The difference on the National level is Democrats are for guaranteed federal government entitlements of Health, Education, Welfare, and Infrastructure through increased taxes to those in the one million dollar tax bracket. Democrats want to end tax breaks for companies shipping manufacturing plants oversees, oil loopholes and maintain tax breaks for green energy companies. Republicans are for the freedom of choice to participate in State level Health, Education, Welfare, and Infrastructure through the private sector and keeping the tax rates at the same level they are now. Republicans are want to end tax breaks for green energy and create a better environment for foreign investment in America. On international issues both believe we need to get out of Afghanistan by 2014, both agree Iran will not have nuclear weapons and the United Nations should continue sanctions against them, both agree that American troops should not be sent to Syria at this time only if chemical weapons are needed to be removed, Both sides agree that Secretary Clinton was right when she stated Russia is wrong to support the Bashar Assad regime. The difference on international issues is the Democrats believe in gathering a large coalition to impose sanctions and military actions. They also believe in agreeing with their partners on timelines of action and withdrawal. And using armed forces to protect our embassies and foreign consulate offices. The Republicans believe that America should lead from the front and not have the United Nations dictate its foreign policy. Revealing timelines of action and withdrawal is a sign of weakness that our enemies can exploit. And using private firms to protect our embassies and foreign consulate offices. What I did not hear from these debates is a concrete plan on how to convince companies not to keep outsourcing their products and services to the rest of the world.
  22. There are good Jews, Christians, and Muslims. And here are bad Jews, Christians, and Muslims.
  23. As long as we continue to be obsessed with tax cuts for the rich and poor the policies unfair trade, government insurance of big banks, and allowing the Fed to print more money that devalues our currency will be the cause of our economic destruction. The crooks on both sides of the aisle should be held accountable and terms in public office should be limited and completely transparent. Our country needs to urgently increase revenue in all sectors and consumers need to keep purchasing goods made in U.S.A. I want a president that has a solution that I can understand and will work. I want a president that will motivate me to believe that America is going to make it. I want a president that will motivate me to believe my family is going to make it. I want a president that will bring back my American Dream. Unite us. Don't Divide Us. We are the greatest nation ever on this planet. Our ideals and respect for those that have made the ultimate sacrifice to preserve them are revered by everyone.
  24. Just received a fascinating film sent to me by Christopher Hardaker on the early prehistorical archaeological site named Hueyátlaco, at the north shore of the Valsequillo Reservoir, in the state of Puebla, Mexico. I believe this to be the location of Hueyátlaco https://maps.google....la,+Mexico&z=20 A theory might be that Homo Erectus may have migrated to America somewhere between the Illinoian and Sangamonian Ice Age. http://simon.kisikew...03_figure_3.png When I have more time I want to understand Hueyátlaco. And one day visit it. I would like to know who was the American that tipped off the Mexican authorities that Neil Steede was looking for the artifacts from Cynthia Irwin-Williams first excavation. And where is the warehouse located? http://www.jstor.org...=21101184160561
