I really like the new events calendar interface. It looks cleaner and easier to use. Great job.

People with ideas need to be encouraged by this administration. It did it in the beginning, but now the energy is gone. What is left is suspicion on both sides. I think it has been the economy, specifically investor confidence has waned. Once people stop thinking what is best for my party things will move quicker. We need what is best for Americans living in this Country. We need jobs. We need to ramp up our manufacturing at warlike pace or accept a lower station of middle class wealth. Manufacturing in America is our only answer. We need to invest in cheaper energy processing before China does. Every type of source has to be considered. Safety and Environmental grants need to be given by Our government immediately. That needs to be changed first. Our government needs to expand resources to the Small Business Administration (SBA). The grant and loan process for small businesses have to made easier as well. I tried to get more information on a grant posted for small businesses. The officer of the program did not return phone calls at SBA.

Build splat bombs made principally like a potato gun. Our Navy would arm a guided torpedo warhead filled with high density epoxy. High compressed air could be released by a sensitive impact sensor. The epoxy should consist of Class F fly ash to seal the well head.

I do understand what you are stating. Of the 290,000 jobs created, only 146,000 are clearly stated. fabricated metals 9,000 machinery 7,000 nondurable goods manufacturing 14,000 Mining added 7,000 nonresidential building 9,000 heavy construction 9,000 Temp help services 26,000 building and dwellings 23,000 computer systems design 7000 hospitals 6,000 accommodation and food services 29,000 This only a survey. Next year's IRS tax returns will give a better indication.

Federal Reserve Transparency - Audit the Fed
Luke_Wilbur replied to a topic in United States Politics
Senators Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) discuss how they want the GAO to "Audit the Fed" amendment that they plan to offer to the financial regulation bill this week with CNBC's Larry Kudlow: -
Understand what the source of the investigation has to say. I pray that our Dear Lord, our Almighty Creator help us all in this time of crisis. There have been no conclusive statements on who, what, when, where, why. We must come together and find the truth. We have a Duty to protect our Constitutional rights as Citizens of this great country., only rumors. This is a time when need to search and find the Truth together. Not for gain, but for Our Country. Tom Brokow called our Grandparents the Greatest Generation. They saved the world from Facism, and Industrial Domination. I know what they made is built to last. What we get now is junk that breaks fast. The Event Horizen oil rig was not made in America. The Event Horizen was made in North Korea. The Event Horizen oil rig was not managed in America. The profits are leased out to a British Company. Let's get to the source of this so taxpayers do not have to pay for this mess. If we do it is our own DAMN fault. Banks vs. American People - Can Wall Street Reform Be Done?
Luke_Wilbur replied to a topic in United States Politics
Do a little more research on this next time. Harold Meyersonwrote a decent article on Washington Post online. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/postpartisan/2010/04/nebraska_narcissist_part_deux.html Maybe I owe Warren Buffett an apology. Yesterday I chastised Nebraska Democrat Ben Nelson for being the sole member of his party to side with Republicans to block debate on the financial reform bill. (Since then, Nelson voted twice with Republicans to keep blocking the bill, though Republicans have now agreed to let the bill come to the Senate floor.) I noted that Nelson was peeved after Democrats struck a provision that would have protected the Nebraska-based investment company Berkshire Hathaway, headed by the legendary Buffett, from having to pay fees on its current derivative holdings. And, rashly perhaps, I accused Nelson of yet another “classic bit of special interest particularism,” coming on the heels of his celebrated “Cornhusker Kickback.” But Nelson, it turns out, wasn’t simply looking out for Buffett -- by every measure the most special interest in his state. He was looking out for himself. -

Amen. Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and all public and private pension plans, cities, school districts and government- sponsored enterprises, etc... should be removed from the negotiated derivatives market. Too many people get screwed in the deal. I hope you use all your political muscle Human to do this. Also, lets take a peek at the Fed. I also want the names of all the politicians who where evading taxes in offshore accounts. Those bastards should get a real hard boot out of office. There are alot of snake oil salesmen that will not be getting too much sleep over this. -
I am just wondering how much it costs to get a AAA+ rating.

On April 20, a fire and explosion occurred onboard our semisubmersible drilling rig Deepwater Horizon, working approximately 41 miles offshore Louisiana on Mississippi Canyon block 252. Of the 126-member crew, 115 were safely evacuated. Despite exhaustive rescue efforts, eleven crew members lost their lives, nine of which were Transocean employees. Our entire Transocean family has been saddened by this tragic event and our thoughts and prayers remain with all who have been affected by this horrible tragedy. http://www.deepwater.com/fw/main/Home-1.html

NASA will launch the first human-like robot to space later this year to become a permanent resident of the International Space Station. Robonaut 2, or R2, was developed jointly by NASA and General Motors under a cooperative agreement to develop a robotic assistant that can work alongside humans, whether they are astronauts in space or workers at GM manufacturing plants on Earth. The 300-pound R2 consists of a head and a torso with two arms and two hands. R2 will launch on space shuttle Discovery as part of the STS-133 mission planned for September. Once aboard the station, engineers will monitor how the robot operates in weightlessness. R2 will be confined to operations in the station's Destiny laboratory. However, future enhancements and modifications may allow it to move more freely around the station's interior or outside the complex. "This project exemplifies the promise that a future generation of robots can have both in space and on Earth, not as replacements for humans but as companions that can carry out key supporting roles," said John Olson, director of NASA's Exploration Systems Integration Office at NASA Headquarters in Washington. "The combined potential of humans and robots is a perfect example of the sum equaling more than the parts. It will allow us to go farther and achieve more than we can probably even imagine today." The dexterous robot not only looks like a human but also is designed to work like one. With human-like hands and arms, R2 is able to use the same tools station crew members use. In the future, the greatest benefits of humanoid robots in space may be as assistants or stand-in for astronauts during spacewalks or for tasks too difficult or dangerous for humans. For now, R2 is still a prototype and does not have adequate protection needed to exist outside the space station in the extreme temperatures of space. Testing the robot inside the station will provide an important intermediate environment. R2 will be tested in microgravity and subjected to the station's radiation and electromagnetic interference environments. The interior operations will provide performance data about how a robot may work side-by-side with astronauts. As development activities progress on the ground, station crews may be provided hardware and software to update R2 to enable it to do new tasks. R2 is undergoing extensive testing in preparation for its flight. Vibration, vacuum and radiation testing along with other procedures being conducted on R2 also benefit the team at GM. The automaker plans to use technologies from R2 in future advanced vehicle safety systems and manufacturing plant applications. "The extreme levels of testing R2 has undergone as it prepares to venture to the International Space Station are on par with the validation our vehicles and components go through on the path to production," said Alan Taub, vice president of GM's global research and development. "The work done by GM and NASA engineers also will help us validate manufacturing technologies that will improve the health and safety of our GM team members at our manufacturing plants throughout the world. Partnerships between organizations such as GM and NASA help ensure space exploration, road travel and manufacturing can become even safer in the future."

I guess it depends how grateful President Obama is to his largest campaign contributor. But, in the President's defense on Financial Reform he appears to be firm against the banks. -
The Internal Revenue Service this week began mailing postcards to more than four million small businesses and tax-exempt organizations to make them aware of the benefits of the recently enacted small business health care tax credit. Included in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act approved by Congress last month and signed into law by President Obama, the credit is one of the first health care reform provisions to go into effect. The credit, which takes effect this year, is designed to encourage small employers to offer health insurance coverage for the first time or maintain coverage they already have. “We want to make sure small employers across the nation realize that –– effective this tax year –– they may be eligible for a valuable new tax credit. Our postcard mailing –– which is targeted at small employers –– is intended to get the attention of small employers and encourage them to find out more," IRS Commissioner Doug Shulman said. “We urge every small employer to take advantage of this credit if they qualify.” In general, the credit is available to small employers that pay at least half the cost of single coverage for their employees in 2010. The credit is specifically targeted to help small businesses and tax-exempt organizations that primarily employ low- and moderate-income workers. For tax years 2010 to 2013, the maximum credit is 35 percent of premiums paid by eligible small business employers and 25 percent of premiums paid by eligible employers that are tax-exempt organizations. The maximum credit goes to smaller employers –– those with 10 or fewer full-time equivalent (FTE) employees –– paying annual average wages of $25,000 or less. Because the eligibility rules are based in part on the number of FTEs, not the number of employees, businesses that use part-time help may qualify even if they employ more than 25 individuals. The credit is completely phased out for employers that have 25 FTEs or more or that pay average wages of $50,000 per year or more. Eligible small businesses can claim the credit as part of the general business credit starting with the 2010 income tax return they file in 2011. For tax-exempt organizations, the IRS will provide further information on how to claim the credit. View the postcard. View Information on state-by-state distribution of the postcard. More information about the credit, including a step-by-step guide and answers to frequently asked questions, is available on the IRS Web site, IRS.gov.

Mike Judd is a true visionary that is able to point serious problems with our culture through comedic tales. Idiocracy is the story of Corporal Joe Bauers (Luke Wilson) who taken into a top-secret military hibernation experiment that goes awry, and awaken 500 years in the future. Corporal Bauers discovers that the country has degenerated into a dystopia where advertising, commercialism, and cultural anti-intellectualism run rampant and dysgenic pressure has resulted in a uniformly stupid human society devoid of individual responsibility or consequences. A disoriented Joe heads to the hospital where he receives a diagnosis of "'tarded" and "fraked up" from Dr. Lexus (Justin Long). Joe is arrested for not paying his hospital bill and for not having a barcode tattoo which all residents have imprinted on their arms. While in prison a poorly-designed I.D.- tattoo machine re-names Joe as "Not Sure" and barcode - tattoos him as such. Caregivers like Dr. Lexus may be the future if people stop paying attention to what is going on with our new National Health Care. I sure hope we do not get tracked like Joe. Anywho, I do not want to spoil the movie. Idiocracy is worth watching to see what we do not want to happen.
