The Mt. Pleasant Street Fire Waiting For The Cover Up Two days after the noted fire in the Mount Pleasant Street area of Washington, DC, fire investigators are shifting through the rumble to determine the cause of this unprecedented fire. Since Mayor Adrian Fenty and most of the members of the DC City Council have been in bed with developers, we would question whether or not the public will get an honest inveigation as to the cause of the fire which most suspect was set by the owner(s) to force out the tenants so the building could go condo. When you have a mayor who has stolen from the elderly, beats his wife, has done drugs, has been a part of the gentrification problem not part of the solution and you add a handful of city council member who are just as sleazy, the people shouldn't expect an honest investigation but a cover-up to protect a campaign contributor.

MAYOR FENTY THREATENS TO HAVE ARRESTED ANYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH HIM. Today, DC Mayor Adrian Fenty using the DC Police Department threatened to arrest anyone who communicates a disagreement with his office based upon his policies or behavior. A letter to the US Attorney seeking intervention into this abuse of the DC police by the mayor to deny a constitutional right has been lodged. Email us and we will send you a copy of this letter to US Attorney Jeffrey A. Taylor! The Corrupt Ones 2008

DOES DC ATTORNEY GENERAL NICKLES HAVE AN ALCOHOL PROBLEM There are a good number of people who work inside the Government of the District of Columbia who claim that acting DC Attorney General Peter Nickles consumes alcohol in excessive amounts on a frequent basis along the lines of a “Working Alcoholic”. While I are not accusing Nickles of being an alcoholic, his level of consumption of such would be equal to that of a person who is! I have asked Nickles if he has a drinking problem but doubt that he would respond as people who have such usually deny it or ignore such questioning.

MAYOR FENTY HAS DECLARED THIS MAN ENEMY OF THE DISTRICT Mayor Fenty sent around a memorandum threatening District workers not to try and access The Corrupt Ones 2008 blog according to several workers who confirmed such for Gary Imhoffat DC Watch. Obviously I must be doing something right or I would not be feared.

First off, when you attend any ANC Commission meeting you will always hear someone throwing out D.DOT figures on this issue. Fred Winstead or Cathy Wiss are the best people to get the current stats from. Second, How do you get people out of their cars and use mass transit? If you have a way then you will be hailed a hero in the TOD cause. Finally, If it was up to me considering how short in distance DC is, I would encourage more people to walk to work. -

Ask D.DOT how many cars each day they estimate are going up and down the streets by people coming and going to work vs how many people are actually riding METRO. D.DOT has in the past stated that only 20% to 25% of all people cummuting into DC for work use METRO. Do your own home work. -

Did not make up any facts. If you ever attended any of the ward 3 ANC meetings then you would have heard many of the commisioners discuss the ever growing gridlock on many of streets of Ward 3, the need to address this problem sooner than later and also ANC Commissioner Fred Winstead has been video taping the gridlock which appears on his YouTube pages. -

DC WATCH CALLS MAYOR FENTY & MICHELLE RHEE CRUDE AND BRUTAL Dear Regular Citizens: The ruthlessness and unnecessary cruelty with which Chancellor Michelle Rhee and Mayor Adrian Fenty carried out the first mass firing at DC Public School’s central office on Friday should end any misconception that they are about “reform” Reform isn’t carried out with the crude and brutal methods that Rhee and Fenty employ. What, after all, is the purpose of carrying out indiscriminate firings, without justification or notice, except to assert the brute force possessed by the bosses? What is the purpose of calling armed police officers to march employees out of their workplaces, denying those employees the right even to pack up their personal possessions or to say goodbye to their coworkers, except to humiliate them and to threaten and intimidate the workers who remain? The message from Fenty and Rhee to District government employees still in service is: we hold you in contempt; the thanks you get for your years and decades of work for this government is to know that we look forward to the opportunity to do the same to you. No doubt, there are diehard Fenty and Rhee supporters who cheered at the sight of these people being tossed on the sidewalk, who are calling for more of the same, who are rooting for Fenty and Rhee to slash the public school workforce more drastically and replace DCPS officials, teachers, and other employees with contractors and consultants, to privatize more schools and farm out more school functions. But, since there is no evidence that any of these slash-and-burn firings will improve students’ education, let those supporters at least stop pretending that they are doing it “for the children.” They are doing it for the pleasures of making the employees of a failed school system suffer, and that is all. Let us also stop hearing the feigned dismay of the council members who voted for these firings. They — with the honorable exceptions only of Council members Mendelson, Thomas, and Barry, who voted against the bill to give Fenty and Rhee the power to carry out these firings — enthusiastically supported stripping DCPS central office employees of their due process rights and giving Rhee the power to carry out the arbitrary and capricious mass firing that took place Friday. Council members knew that, if they gave bad and incompetent administrators the power to fire employees capriciously and arbitrarily, the administrators would use that power. They gave them that power, and they did. Council members who voted for the bill don’t have the right to deny responsibility for its results. If they want to fix their mistake, they should. If they don’t want to fix it, they should take their places in line behind Fenty and Rhee, booting employees down the stairs and out the door, laughing instead of crying crocodile tears. Gary Imhoff

My stats come from notes taken at several of the ANC meetings, videos we shot and the fact that even ANC commissioners Winstead and others agree it is getting worse not better. -

A SURE TICKET TO POLITICAL SUICIDE When considering all of the changes Mayor Adrian Fenty has made since entering office, the number of top people who have resigned, the number of people he has chased out of government, the number of people he has fired and his failure to be specific with voters on key issues; Fenty has almost assured himself that if he runs again in 2010, he has probably lost 25% of his voter base. A 25% loss of a voter base is enough to cost a politician an election. So who in 2010 is most likely to run for mayor of the District of Columbia and defeat Fenty in the primary stage? Only one person has that ability and his name is Robert Bobb who currently is the President of the DC Public School Board and a well liked person. If Bobb takes on Fenty and wins, all of us can be sure that he will return the power back to the school board and reverse most everything Fenty has done and drive Fenty and his people to the pits of Hell.

TRANSIT ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT - A FAILED IDEA TO BEGIN WITH

Mr. Rees's flawed and misdirected is not flawed nor misguided as even the DC City Council acknowledges that the majority of new residents are opting to use their cars instead of mass transit despite all their efforts. TOD is a great idea but what we have learned is, you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make him drink. In other words, people are educated to the benefits of TOD but have rejected it with 81% of all car owners in DC opting to use their car than mass transit! -
MAYOR FENTY REALLY HATES, AFRICAN AMERICANS, THE ELDERLY & POOR PEOPLE Despite all of the rhetoric by Mayor Adrian Fenty about wanting to do things for all, that is just the best lie he ever told. The reality is: Mayor Adrian Fenty only wants to fix our schools so as to lure in more white, high income earners as he knows the state of our schools is crucial to their moving into DC; Mayor Adrian Fenty does not want the likes of African Americans specifically low middle income earners and the poor which makes up 90% of DC's African American community but he wants them out of DC to make way for more white people. The key to making DC the new White Mecca in Fenty's vision is to chase the undesirables out, and the key to that is to take their homes from them, make renting a place to live difficult and more. While I/we have been saying it for a long time, the Washington Post has finally gotten around to doing a story in detail about what Fenty is doing along with the blessings of most on the DC City Council. What is going on is just more of the same ole Gentrification. Gentrification comes easily when our mayor and city council members had their political campaigns heavily financed by developers and their employees: E.g. Adrian Fenty, Mary Cheh, Jack Evans, Muriel Bowser, David Catania and mainly Democrats!!!! Aren't the Democrats for the little guy? Well, you've been fooled! Landlords determined to cash in on a lucrative real estate market pushed thousands of tenants out of apartments across the District in recent years and then reaped more than $328 million by converting the buildings into condominiums. In the past four years, landlords emptied more than 200 buildings from Columbia Heights to Southeast, most of them rent-controlled, thwarting the intent of one of the nation's toughest tenant rights laws with the approval of the city government, a Washington Post investigation found. Read the full story here ► http://Use Full URL address/2m74tn This issue is very complex but Mayor Adrian Fenty is a bigot and hates: 1. The elderly; 2. African Americans; and 3. the poor and his actions says that loud and clear!

I think you may have missed one point and that is, how do you think TOD as you envision it will relieve the gridlock? I fail to see it! DC is very unique and was not properly planned out before the massive growth in the NW side of the city. -
DC CITY COUNCIL HONORS ITS BIGGEST CROOK Today the District of Columbia has a colorful list of crooks inside our government but years ago, we had a real hard core crook in the person of DC Councilman H.R. Crawford. Yesterday was H.R. Crawford Day at the John Wilson Building, as D.C. Council Chairman Vincent C. Gray (D) and members Yvette M. Alexander (D-Ward 7) and Marion Barry (D-Ward 8) showered praise on the former council member and presented him with a resolution. Why? Go figure as H.R. Crawford is the poster boy of all that is wrong with DC politics. H.R. Crawford was one of DC’s former council members but runs a real estate business on Pennsylvania Avenue, SE and has his hands in many things thanks to his former status on the DC City Council where he managed over the years to see that contracts and more were steered his way long after he left the council. I had the pleasure of sitting down in a meeting (1997) with Crawford in a business deal as my father was the chairman of the board of Mohawk Industries (world’s largest textile and floor covering manufacturer) because of Crawford’s needs surrounding his real estate dealings and holdings. What struck me funny was his ignorance of matters, his poor command of the English language, his ill prepared presentation, his constant nodding off during the meeting as he sat in his big easy chair, but what made me and others walk out of the meeting was Crawford’s demand for a kick back. Kick back? Yes, he wanted a kick back. Screw him! H.R. Crawford has always been a crooked politican and businessman, but I made a decision that I could not do business with an jackass like H.R. Crawford and it makes me scratch my head and wonder why DC Council Chairman Gray would want to honor a piece of trash like H.R. Crawford!

TRANSIT ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT A FAILED IDEA TO BEGIN WITH The current economic crisis facing America today has been caused in great part by the greed of “Developers” including many in DC according to the Federal Reserve Bank, Wall Street and the national media. One of the greedy ideas of developers in DC has been this concept of Transit Oriented Development which has been supported by DC City Councilwoman Mary M. Cheh because about 80% of her campaign contributions came from developers and their employees. Transit Oriented Development cannot work in DC because 80% of all cars that travel along the roads in DC are from Maryland, Virginia and other parts of the USA making it impossible for any Transit Oriented Development plan to work. In DC, Mary Cheh’s ward is the most congested area of DC and the gridlock keeps on getting worse not just during rush hour traffic but from 7 AM up to 9 PM at nights and heavily on the weekends. Roads like Connecticut Ave, Massachusetts Avenue, Nebraska Avenue and Wisconsin Avenue are the most traveled by people coming and leaving DC and inside DC to get to other locations in the city. A study of traffic flow along Wisconsin Avenue between Calvert and Albemarle Streets, NW at 10:00 A.M. on any given weekday shows how much gridlock is taking place, how hard it is for residents to be able to cross the streets and more. Any new development commercial or residential in Ward 3 DC would only make gridlock worse and there needs to be a ten year moratorium.

OFFERING A CHEESECAKE NOW EQUALS SEXUAL HARASSMENT ACCORDING TO MAYOR FENTY As it concerns confirmed allegations that Mayor Adrian Fenty has been censoring emails and access to the internet by DC government workers which is a debate taking place over on DC Watch, Ms. Denise Wiktor who appears to work at the DC City Council in the last edition of [the mail at DC Watch] points out this extreme when she wrote concerning the block placed by Fenty on all government employees' email accounts: “Had no trouble, but I could not send an E-mail out saying I would bring cheesecake to a lunch, as it violated sexual harassment policy”. Is Fenty becoming like a third world dictator or is he losing his mind!

HATE ME TODAY - HATE ME TOMORROW View the video at YouTube. While the majority of readers fully enjoy and support all that I say here and elsewhere, there are a handful of people who are constantly criticizing us and me in particular, but that criticism comes mainly from people of the LGBT community because I will not endorse their immoral and unnatural life-style. Obviously what I write here and elsewhere upsets people so much that they cannot function normally without the need to leash out vehemently which show me how unstable emotionally they really are and re-affirms our opposition to them, but that opposition comes from the facts: 1. That the LGBT life-style shortens a person's life by 17 years; 2. That the LGBT life-style sees 55% of such people developing medical problems begining in their early 30's; and 3. That the LGBT life-style is responsible for 95% of all heterosexual women contracting the HIV Virus. I guess the truth hurts but the more I am hated, the more I realize that I am doing the right thing as the overwhelming number of emails I receive supports m because way too many are upset over their voices and vote being drwoned out by the LGBT people who have taken over DC Government with 8 of the 13 members of the DC City Council being LGBT.
