  1. DC TAXI DRIVERS HATE MAYOR FENTY This early on, DC taxi drivers are already complaining that the change over from the zone system to the time and distance meter is losing money for them. Taxi drivers in DC never liked Mayor Adrian Fenty when he forced them to make the change. While most riders prefer the time and distant meter system, those interviewed said they could not see a difference in their cost. Most of us know that taxi drivers are strange birds, fly around town like bats out of Hell and don't care about traffic or pedestrian laws. Mayor Fenty indeed has a lot of people pissed at him and pissing off taxi drivers isn't cool.
  2. SORRY REV. JESSE JACKSON Minister and civil rights leader Jesse Jackson who now lives in DC was very active politically both on a DC and national level until a scandal broke out about his having had an extra marital affair and a baby to go with it. Now-a-days, we see very little of Rev. Jesse Jackson. View the video at YouTube.
  3. WRONG .... Try again.
  4. CARY SILVERMAN vs. JACK EVANS for WARD 1 In the local DC races this year, most of the incumbents will probably go on and win re-election easily except in the ward 1 city council race between incumbent Jack Evans and Cary Silverman. Both Evans and Silverman are out there, their presence is felt and seen, and it will be interested to see them debate the issues. Over the years Jack Evans has done a lot of good for ward 1 and DC but of late, he has been wrapped up in a scandal or two, made decisions that have pissed off a lot of his constituents and it will all boil down to whether or not the voters have had enough of him. This will be the more interesting races in DC to watch.
  5. THE NEW LOOSE LIPS IS A DRUNK Washington City Paper One of the more popular readings of DC’s alternative newspaper known as The Washington City Paper is the column Loose Lips. Over the years there have been about 4 to 5 different people who donned the hat as Loose Lips. The Loose Lips column is designed to delve into local, government misconduct. The last good Loose Lips was James Jones and has been replaced by Mike DeBonis in 2008. Mike DeBonis is already proving to be the worst Loose Lips The Washington City Paper has had. His writings are boring, lack real investigative qualities, the stories are not interesting and DeBonis himself is a callous, cold and snotty piece of ***brown trout*** that is intolerant of anyone who disagrees except when he is half ***brown trout*** faced which is often. With this caliber of reporting and/or reporter, this may be why The Washington City Paper has been steadily losing readership.
  6. Who Will Be The Next Mayor Of DC In 2011? MAYOR
  7. WHERE IS PHIL MENDELSON'S CASHEWS DC City Councilman Phil Mendelson chairs the Committee on the Judiciary and Public Safety at the DC City Council. The biggest threat to the public safety has been a crazy man named Peter Nickles who is acting as the interim attorney general of the District of Columbia. Nickles has been one of the most demoralizing figures in the Fenty Administration, a person who has openly admitted that he will be firing people at the Office of the Attorney General based on age and replace them with a younger work force, a person who has chased off others with talent because they were not willing to play the game and promote his nefarious ways, a man who does not live in DC, does not pay taxes to DC and who was highly disliked by colleagues at the law firm he came from. It is self-evident that Peter Nickles has to go and Phil Mendelson needs to find his balls and make it happen and not sit back and wait but go on the offensive. The DC City Council needs to remember: "Beware of Greeks Bearing Gifts".
  8. HELP WANTED CHIEF JUDGE, DC SUPERIOR COURT Rufus G. King, III the current chief judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia has decided to hang his hat up after two terms. CJ King is believed by many in the legal community to have been the court's best chief judge. Now the search for his replacement will take place. As the search begins, we believe that among all the judges that could fill King's shoes there is only one judge that has what it takes to take it all on and do well at it. We are speaking of Michael L. Rankin.
  9. THE TRUTH ABOUT VIRNINIA'S LEGAL SYSTEM Maybe most of you know it but for those who don't, if one day you and I get into an argument and I decide that I want to stick it to you good, I can do it by filing a phony criminal charge against you. How do I do that? I walk in the front door of the office of any"Magistrate" and vebally swear out a complaint against you. I can say that you and I were arguing and all of a suddeny you tried to kick me in the groin. The magistrate will then have me swear in, I give him your name and known address and then state for the record what I claim you did. If the magistrate believes that I am telling the truth, he will then agree to issue a WARRANT for your arrest and ask the sheriff to pick you up. From that point on, you will have to appear in court based upon my charge, most of the time the Commonwealth Attorney will go forward with the charge and allow a judge to rule if my story or your's is credible. This is how easy it is to mess anybody up in Virginia. No other state allows this type of citizen's word alone to trigger the arrest of another. Arlington County Commonwealth Attorney Richard Trodden is the worst when pursuing such phony charges and when confronted with evidence that the charge is BS has refused to drop it. It is all a scam to make money for local lawyers and for Trodden who pockets some of those defense fees you paid.
  10. Part of it appears today in the Washington Examiner and the part about Commonwealth Attorney Todden is based upon complaints people have filed against him.
  11. STAND UP 2 CANCER PRESENTED BY ABC, CBS & NBC TV Because our local and federal governments are very slow to allot funding for all kinds of life saving care, treatment and research, ABC TV, CBS TV and NBC TV are joining forces on September 5 for a national fundraiser to be telecasted simultaneously on all three networks. As our government play games with our tax dollars, lives are being lost each day.
  12. DC DOES NOT NEED NOR CAN IT AFFORD A NEW SOCCER STADIUM A coalition of D.C. City Council members is drafting legislation that would authorize Mayor Adrian M. Fenty to spend $150 million in public money to subsidize construction of a soccer stadium for D.C. United in Southeast Washington, city government sources said. Under the plan being developed by Chairman Vincent C. Gray (D), Jack Evans (D-Ward 2) and Marion Barry (D-Ward 8), the 27,000-seat stadium would be included in a larger, mixed-use development at Poplar Point, a 110-acre swath of parkland along the Anacostia River. The site is across the river from the Washington Nationals' baseball stadium. The city would finance construction bonds with excess tax revenue being collected by the District to pay for the baseball stadium. D.C. United would be responsible for paying for any costs above $150 million, according to the sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the plan is still being finalized. The Government of the District of Columbia seems to have the money to build sports stadiums but not for a new medical facility for the poor, better job training programs or other things to improve the lives of its citizens.
  13. FBI ESTALBISHES CORRUPTION TASK FORCE IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA It has been no hidden secret that northern Virginia but specifically Arlington County has been riddled with corruption from its courts, office of commonwealth attorney down to its council. Now that these hillbilly rednecks of northern Virginia are getting the taste of the good life, The FBI and nine other federal agencies are targeting government corruption in Northern Virginia, an initiative spurred by the glut of federal dollars flowing into the region. The task force will includes inspector general staff from the Department of Transportation, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Homeland Security, Internal Revenue Service, Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Postal Service, Small Business Administration and Department of Education. Probably the most corrupt northern Virginia official is Arlington County Commonwealth Attorney Richard E. Trodden who has been guilty of selective prosecution based upon race, color, national origin and using the tools of bringing, maintaining and keeping on the books false criminal charges against people he dislikes, and when and only when money is slipped under the table to him through a defendant's attorney does he drop the charge. Northern Virginia has had a free hand for years but may now finally get cleaned up by the feds with people going to jail.
  14. More DC Government Workers Stealing From Taxpayers Employees in D.C.’s finance office helped themselves to thousands of dollars from an emergency cash fund that was supposed to help city workers. Three employees, including a high-ranking finance official, have been fired in the wake of the scandal. Employees were helping themselves to petty cash from boxes around the city, the sources said. They were also keeping cash and checks from payments back into the fund to cover themselves in case their drawers were short, the sources said. This just adds to the major stealing of $50,000,000.00 by DC government workers over at the DC Office of Tax & Revenue. Stealing from the taxpayers by DC government workers takes place in almost every agency and on a daily basis as there is little or no safeguards against it.
  15. GOOD BYE ALICE MILLER YOU WON’T BE MISSED Good bye Alice Miller, you won’t be missed. Alice Miller is the Director of the DC Board of Elections and Ethnics and one of the most elusive DC government officials ever who was so paranoid about not wanting people to know who she is or what she looked like that she kept her picture off her agency’s website. Yet, what is to be expected of a person whose day to day dealings were as crooked as they come? Alice Miller will soon be leaving the DC Board of Elections and Ethnics for a job that pays less, has less in benefits and comes with none of the perks she had at the DC Board of Elections and Ethnics. Why? Alice Miller has always been a controversial figure but more so over claims of vote rigging. There are people out there to be taken seriously who claim that Alice Miller had rigged the 2006 DC Elections to insure a win for Mayor Adrian Fenty and DC Councilwoman Mary M. Cheh and then in 2007 for DC Councilwoman Muriel Bowser. These very same people believe that the money used to buy off Miller, others at the DC BOEE and elsewhere came from the $40,000,000.00 stolen from the DC Office of Tax & Revenue and this fact will come out as the US Department of Justice moves forward with its many cases as well and show that other DC government officials were in on it all. Alice Miller had no ethics, stayed at her post far too long and lived larger than her family income would dictate but what is to be expected from a person who had no ethics?

  17. THE BEST DC CITY COUNCIL MEMBER FOR QUALITY CONSTIUENT SERVICES The District of Columbia has thirteen members of its’ city council and I think the most important quality a member of the council can have is their contacting you back when you confront them with a problem. Good constituent services is paramount in any person’s mind when judging a council members sincerity in wanting to represent “You” There is one DC City Council member who I know if I contact him by email with a problem, he will respond back within 1-2 hours at best by email or by telephone, and he will get the ball rolling for you on the problem by making sure his staff acts quickly. I am talking about DC Councilman Kwame Brown (at large). Running a close second is DC Councilman Jim Graham. Council members who have never responded back to communications I and many of my friends have made are: David Catania, Carol Schwartz and Phil Mendelson resulting in us having to look elsewhere for our help. What good is a council member when they ignore you in times of genuine need? None! DC Councilman Kwame Brown is finishing up his first term on the DC City Council, he is seeking to be re-elected and I think that he has earned that right for another term!
  18. OBAMA WILL FACE THE RACE CARD IN NOVEMBER Many believe that if Barack Obama is the Democratic nominee for President of the United State that if he loses to John McCain in November, then it will probably reflect the fact that a good percentage of non-African Americans are not ready for an African American president than for any other reason. I estimate that about 20% of all white Democrats will not vote for an African America or woman and when November rolls around we will see these people either jump party lines or stay home. Also Obama faces among 5% of the Democrats a belief that he lacks enough experience in government to be president and these Democrats will definitely vote for McCain on the experience issue. Indeed, Obama faces a uphill battle come November and I believe a lot of open-minded people see that.
  19. FIGHT FOR WARD 8 CITY COUNCIL Marion Barry who is t he current DC City Councilman for Ward 8 has not yet thrown his hat in the ring to seek re-election but he already has five opponents: Howard Brown, Darrell Gaston, Chanda McMahan, Sandra Seegars and Cardell Shelton. Barry is believed to be a shoe in for re-election but might find some serious competition this time round from Seegars and Shelton. During this four year term, Barry has been a bit of a disappointment to voters especially his failure to stand up to Mayor Adrian Fenty as it concerns matters that will impact upon Ward 8. Barry has been nothing but an embarrassment to the District of Columbia since his arrest years ago for use of crack cocaine and maybe it is time for him to hang it up.
  20. THE REAL MEANING OF CRPORATE CITIZENSHIP DC Mayor Adrian M. Fenty has asked local businesses to invest in our children’s education by contributing to a program that will spruce up the looks of our schools and etcetera, but his request has not been well received by the business community. I normally do not agree with most things Fenty does, but on this issue I do. Businesses are corporate citizens and in a way have an obligation to contribute from their surpluses by reinvesting in the community. The failure of the business community to kick in is pure stinginess.
  21. Joe, I am prejudice. I grew up next to Shea Stadium and the only team that matters to me are the New York Mets. It is not a matter of being mean but one of pride for my team.
  22. THE GREAT PISSING CONTEST Interim Attorney General Peter Nickles, DC Police Chief Cathy Lanier and Kristopher Baumann, chairman of the Fraternal Order of Police Labor Committee are now engaged in a pissing contest over DC police officers who were previously fired, reinstated and the city wanting to fire them again plus add others to that list based upon misconduct. Excuse me Chief Lanier but didn't you obstruct justice the day you ordered as a district commander Mayor Adrian Fenty release from police custody after being arrested for beating on his wife? Maybe somebody should dismiss you for misconduct.
  23. Wrong guys! The Nationals are a bunch of losers!
  24. Such a ban is idiotic and will not decrease any of the things you speak of.
