The Didache Chapter 5 Canaan (Northwest Semitic knaʿn, knaʿn, Kənáʿan) was, during the 2nd millennium BC, a Semitic-speaking region in the Ancient Near East, which as described in the Bible roughly corresponds to the Levant, i.e. modern-day Lebanon, Israel, Palestinian territories, the western part of Jordan and southwestern Syria. The name remained the endonym of the region later known to the Ancient Greeks from c.500 BC as Phoenicia. Phoenicia (Phoiníkē, Finiqyah) was an ancient Semitic civilization situated on the western, coastal part of the Fertile Crescent and centered on the coastline of modern Lebanon and Tartus Governorate in Syria. All major Phoenician cities were on the coastline of the Mediterranean, some colonies reaching the Western Mediterranean. It was an enterprising maritime trading culture that spread across the Mediterranean from 1550 BC to 300 BC. Phoenicia is really a Classical Greek term used to refer to the region of the major port towns.Their civilization was organized in city-states, similar to ancient Greece. However, in terms of archaeology, language, life style and religion, there is little to set the Phoenicians apart as markedly different from other Semitic cultures of Canaan. As Canaanites, they were unique in their remarkable seafaring achievements. Each city-state was a politically independent unit. They could come into conflict and one city might be dominated by another city-state, although they would collaborate in leagues or alliances. Though ancient boundaries of such city-centered cultures fluctuated, the city of Tyre seems to have been the southernmost. Sarepta (modern day Sarafand) between Sidon and Tyre is the most thoroughly excavated city of the Phoenician homeland. The Phoenicians were the first state-level society to make extensive use of the alphabet. The Phoenician phonetic alphabet is generally believed to be the ancestor of almost all modern alphabets. From a traditional linguistic perspective, they spoke Phoenician, a Canaanite dialect. Through their maritime trade, the Phoenicians spread the use of the alphabet to North Africa and Europe, where it was adopted by the Greeks, who later passed it on to the Etruscans, who in turn transmitted it to the Romans. In addition to their many inscriptions, the Phoenicians are believed to have left numerous other types of written sources, but most have not survived. Fernand Braudel remarked in The Perspective of the World that Phoenicia was an early example of a "world-economy" surrounded by empires. The high point of Phoenician culture and sea power is usually placed c. 1200–800 BC. Many of the most important Phoenician settlements had been established long before this: Byblos, Tyre, Sidon, Simyra, Arwad, and Berytus, all appear in the Amarna tablets. Archeology has identified cultural elements of the Phoenician zenith as early as the 3rd millennium BC. The league of independent city-state ports, with others on the islands and along other coasts of the Mediterranean Sea, was ideally suited for trade between the Levant area, rich in natural resources, and the rest of the ancient world. During the early Iron Age, in around 1200 BC an unknown event occurred, historically associated with the appearance of the Sea Peoples from the north. They weakened and destroyed the Egyptians and the Hittites respectively. In the resulting power vacuum, a number of Phoenician cities rose as significant maritime powers. The societies rested on three power-bases: the king; the temple and its priests; and councils of elders. Byblos first became the predominant center from where the Phoenicians dominated the Mediterranean and Erythraean (Red) Sea routes. according to fragments attributed to the semi-legendary pre-Trojan War Phoenician historian Sanchuniathon, it was built by Cronus as the first city in Phoenicia. Today it is believed to be the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was here that the first inscription in the Phoenician alphabet was found, on the sarcophagus of Ahiram (c. 1200 BC). Byblos was a Canaanite city called Gubal during the Bronze Age, at which time it also appears as Gubla in the Amarna letters. During the Iron Age the city is called Gebal in Phoenician and appears in the Hebrew Bible under the name Geval (Hebrew: גבל). Psalms 83 Later, Tyre gained in power. One of its kings, the priest Ithobaal (887–856 BC) ruled Phoenicia as far north as Beirut, and part of Cyprus. Carthage was founded in 814 BC under Pygmalion of Tyre (820–774 BC). The collection of city-states constituting Phoenicia came to be characterized by outsiders and the Phoenicians as Sidonia or Tyria. Phoenicians and Canaanites alike were called Sidonians or Tyrians, as one Phoenician city came to prominence after another. The Phoenicians supplied materials and people to build a palace and temple for Israel. 2 Samuel 5 1 Kings 4 1 Kings 7 1 Kings 9 Solomon gave Hiram cities from the tribe of Asher. Asher was the second son of Jacob and Zilpah, and the founder of the Tribe of Asher. Asher played a role in selling his brother Joseph into slavery. Many scholars suspect that the name of Asher may have more to do with a deity originally worshipped by the tribe, either Asherah, or Ashur, the chief Assyrian deity;the latter possibility is cognate with Asher. The tribe of Asher was the one most blessed with male children (Sifre, l.c.); and its women were so beautiful that priests and princes sought them in marriage (Gen. R. lxxi., end). The abundance of oil in the land possessed by Asher so enriched the tribe that none of them needed to hire a habitation (Gen. R. l.c.); and the soil was so fertile that in times of scarcity, and especially in the Sabbatical year, Asher provided all Israel with olive-oil After the conquest of Phoenicia by Alexander the Great in 332 BC, the merchant network of city states took on new life as Greek-dominated Phoenicia. Issiah 23 Ezekiel 27 A cherub is a winged angelic being who is considered to attend on Hashem. A cherubim is the plural form of cherub (more than one angel). The prophet Ezekiel gave the best description of cherubim in Jerusalem. Were these the same as the anointed guardian cherub that the king of Tyre saw in Eden? Ezekiel 10 Just like Hashem punished Tyre for its wicked ways, Jerusalem gets experiences the same wrath as well. Ezekiel 3 Tel Abib (Hebrew: תל-אביב, Tel Aviv; lit. "Spring Mound", where Spring is the season) is an unidentified place on the river Khabur in what is now Syria. According to the "Biblical Repository and Classical Review" The captives of Chebar, were the ten tribes that were being held Chaldean territory of Kabar River that was called Tel Abib. This was not the same as present day Tel Aviv in Israel. http://books.google.com/books?id=ToAaAQAAIAAJ&lpg=PA46&ots=RuENfxQ_DN&dq=Tel%20Abib%20Syria%20Ezekiel%20Khabur&pg=PA46#v=onepage&q=Tel%20Abib%20Syria%20Ezekiel%20Khabur&f=false- 238 replies

The Didache Chapter 5 Moses tells Israel that Hashem is angered by idols of any type: This includes idols of stars, creatures, and people. Deuteronomy 4 God goes from Mt. Seir in Edom to Mt. Sinai, where He appeared to the Israelites in great power in the form of a storm and earthquake Judges 5 Exodus 5 1 Chronicles 18 Moses evidently wrote this book on the plains of Moab shortly before his death, which occurred about 1406 B.C. Deuteronomy 1 Here we find God punishing Moses and his brother for their transgression. And the Edomites rejecting their cousin, Israel's plea for water and pass through their kingdom. Numbers 20 Moses does not follow Hashem's instructions and does not speak to the rock. Instead he hits it twice. Moses was aggressive to Hashem's thirsty flock for wanting water to drink and struck the rock. Hashem delivered water to Israel, but was angered at Moses and Aaron for not following instructions and hitting the rock without his permission. But, the biggest transgression was Moses and His brother disavowed Hashem's gift of bringing forth water to Israel and christened it as their own action. How many times in life do we see individuals take credit for something they did not do. Hashem punishment is equal to all His creation. Prophets are given no special treatment and are at His Mercy. Psalms 119 Here we see again a prophet partially following Hashem's orders and paying for his disobedience. In addition, we see King Jeroboam rebel against Hashem. 1 Kings 13 Golden Calf in Bethel Egyptian God Apis Syrian and Canaanite Bull Gods Golden Calf India- 238 replies

The Didache Chapter 5 Numbers 22 Jeremiah 48 1906 Jewish Encyclopedia The Mesha Stele inscription translation published by James King (1878), based on translations by M. Ganneau and Dr. Ginsberg. Omri was the sixth king of Israel after Jeroboam. God was angered by Omri's sinful actions and allowed King Mesha of Moab to defeat him in battle. 1 Kings 16 King Mesha of Moab was a king of Moabites around the 9th century BC. Mesha was a descendant of King Saul. 1 Chronicles 8 The Kingdom of Moab at the time of Mesha was subject to Israel. Mesha rebelled against three generations Israel. It took the alliance of three kingdoms (Israel, Judah, and Edom) to finally defeat Mesha and his kingdom of Moab. Jehoram (or Joram) was a king of the northern Kingdom of Israel. He was the son of Ahab and Jezebel. Jehoshaphat (Jehosaphat, Josaphat, or Yehoshafat) was the fourth king of the Kingdom of Judah, and successor of his father Asa. His mother was Azubah. Historically, his name has sometimes been connected with the Valley of Jehosaphat where, according to Joel 3:2, the God of Israel will gather all nations for judgment. 2 Kings 3 Edom (Ĕḏôm, Udumi, Idumea, Idoumaía; Latin: Idūmaea was a semite-inhabited historical region of the Southern Levant located south of Judea and the Dead Sea. It is mentioned in biblical records as a 1st millennium BC Iron Age kingdom of Edom, and in classical antiquity the cognate name Idumea was used to refer to a smaller area in the same region. The name Edom means "red" in Hebrew, and was given to Esau, the eldest son of the Hebrew patriarch Isaac, once he ate the "red pottage", which the Bible used in irony at the fact he was born "red all over". The Torah, Tanakh and New Testament thus describe the Edomites as descendants of Esau. The oldest biblical traditions place Yahweh as the deity of southern Edom, and may have originated in "Edom/Seir/Teman/Sinai" before being adopted in Israel and Judah. The Didache Chapter 5 The above image comes from Forbidden Knowledge: the Bible's Origins. He makes a point on asking How could King David be a prophet if Ruth was a Moabite? For the gift of insight from his picture, I will do my best to make him understand through her selfless actions, Hashem made Ruth worthy to accepted into the House of Israel and have her descendant David king of His people. Deuteronomy 7 Moab (/ˈmoʊæb/; Moabite: Hebrew: מוֹאָב, Modern Mo'av Tiberian Môʼāḇ ; "seed of father"; Greek Μωάβ Mōav; Assyrian Mu'aba, Ma'ba, Ma'ab ; Egyptian Mu'ab) is the historical name for a mountainous strip of land in Jordan. The land lies alongside much of the eastern shore of the Dead Sea. The existence of the Kingdom of Moab is attested to by numerous archeological findings, most notably the Mesha Stele, which describes the Moabite victory over an unnamed son of King Omri of Israel. The existence of Moab prior to the rise of the Israelite state has been deduced from a colossal statue erected at Luxor by Pharaoh Ramesses II, in the 13th century BCE, which lists Mu'ab among a series of nations conquered during a campaign. Genesis tells that Abraham and Lot travelled together in the Land of Canaan, but that after awhile they decided to part ways. Lot decided to move to the east of the Jordan, while Abraham stayed in Canaan. The paths of the two branches would diverge further, with Abraham's descendants moving to Egypt, while Lot's branch apparently staying on the land east of the Jordan. When the two branches met again, it was after the Israelites left Egypt on the way back to Canaan. The Moabite Stone The principal shrine in Moab was Beyt-baal-me'on, which means "house/shrine of the baal/master/god of On". The principal shrine of On was in the sacred city of Heliopolis in Egypt and Joseph married one of the daughters of the high priest of On. Mesha, the King of Moab, built a reservoir at Beth-baal-me’On (II Kings 3). On the Moabite or Mesha Stone (discovered in 1868 at Dibon) it is recorded that King Mesha "reigned in peace over the hundred towns which he had added to the land. And he built Medeba and Beth-diblathen and Beth-baal-me'On, and he set there the … of the land." The stone is defaced at this point so we do not know what the King set up, but it was likely an image of his god, Ashtar-Chemosh. Deuteronomy 23 Babylonian Talmud: Tractate Sanhedrin Ruth 1 Ruth 2 Ruth 4 Mishnah Yevamot 4 Our Blessed Virgin Mother's story very much reminds me of Ruth. Like Boaz, Saint Joseph married Mary to keep her in good standing with the Jewish congregation. Luke 1- 238 replies

The Didache Chapter 5 Still searching for the fulcrum divergence of the how people view the Holy Spirit. I am now using the Online Etymology Dictionary for Animus. In ancient Greek religion and myth, the Anemoi (Greek: Ἄνεμοι, "Winds") were Greek wind gods who were each ascribed a cardinal direction from which their respective winds came (see Classical compass winds), and were each associated with various seasons and weather conditions. They were sometimes represented as mere gusts of wind, at other times were personified as winged men, and at still other times were depicted as horses kept in the stables of the storm god Aeolus, who provided Odysseus with the Anemoi in the Odyssey. The Spartans were reported to sacrifice a horse to the winds on Mount Taygetus. Astraeus, the astrological deity sometimes associated with Aeolus, and Eos, the goddess of the dawn, were the parents of the Anemoi, according to the Greek poet Hesiod. How did we come to think the spirit came from wind? Did the Greeks sages think their gods could breathe life into mortals? Take a break and watch Mythic Warriors - Icarus and Daedalus. See what happens when Daedulus prides himself like a god with his inventions. Then see Icarus pride himself to fly higher than the gods. Deadulus and Icarus remind me of Lucifer's pride against Hashem. http://youtu.be/4UXG0Zkkzx4 It appears that the Greek anemos "wind" is from a masculine origin. But, when we move further east to their neighbors this begins to change. The Turkish word for mother is "ana." The Conception by Righteous Anna of the Most Holy Mother of God Sinsharishkun (Sin-shar-ishkun, ca. 627 - 612 BC), who seems to have been the Saràkos (Saracus) of Berossus, was one of the last kings of the Assyrian empire, followed only by Ashur-uballit II. He was the son of Ashurbanipal, and possibly the brother of the last Assyrian king, Ashuruballit II (612-605 BC). He is the last king who has years attested in most Babylonian records. After temporarily defeating his rivals, Sinsharishkun faced a much larger threat. Babylon, a vassal state of Assyria for three centuries, took advantage of the anarchy within Assyria and rebelled under the previously unknown Nabopolassar, the leader of the Chaldean peoples of south eastern Mesopotamia, in 626 BC. From 610 BC until his death, Nabopolassar also waged war against Egypt, which was allied with Assyria. In 605 BC, his son Nebuchadnezzar fought Pharaoh Necho II of Egypt and the remnants of the Assyrian army at the Battle of Carchemish, shortly before Nabopolassar died. When the Assyrian capital Nineveh was overrun by the Babylonians in 612 BC, the Assyrians moved their capital to Harran. When Harran was captured by the Babylonians in 610 BC, the capital was once again moved, this time to Carchemish, on the Euphrates river. Egypt was allied with the Assyrian king Ashur-uballit II, and marched in 609 BC to his aid against the Babylonians. The Egyptian army of Pharaoh Necho II was delayed at Megiddo by the forces of King Josiah of Judah. Josiah was killed and his army was defeated. The dead body of Josiah was delivered to Jerusalem immediately and buried according to the customs of Judah's kings, near the grave of King David. The Egyptians and Assyrians together crossed the Euphrates and laid siege to Harran, which they failed to retake. They then retreated to northern Syria. Stela of Nabonidus The Stela is currently located at the British Museum Nabonidus (/ˌnæbəˈnaɪdəs/; Akkadian Nabû-naʾid, "Nabu is praised") was the last king of the Neo-Babylonian Empire, reigning from 556-539 BC. Encyclopedic Theosophical Glossary: Am-Ani shows Chaldean goddess for Ana. Chaldea was the home of Abraham. I am trying to confirm the Chaldean Ana mentioned by the Encyclopedic Theosophical Glossary. According to The Chaldean Account of Genesis, by George Smith, [1876] Anu in Chaldean belief was king of angels and spirits. Here is the map of the Chaldean empire Chaldea as the name of a country is used in two different senses. In the early period, between circa. 1000 BC and 600 BC, it was the name of a small sporadically independent territory in southern Babylonia extending along the northern and probably also the western shores of the Persian Gulf. After the Chaldean tribes settled in the region it was called mat Kaldi "land of Chaldeans" by the native Assyrians and Babylonians. Chaldea generally referred to the low, marshy, alluvial land around the estuaries of the Tigris and Euphrates, which then discharged their waters through separate mouths into the sea. In a later time, when the Chaldean tribe had burst their narrow bonds and obtained the ascendency over all Babylonia, they briefly gave their name to the whole land of Babylonia, which then was called Chaldea for a short time. In the Hebrew Bible, the prophet Abraham is stated to have originally been from "Ur of the Chaldees" (Ur Kaśdim); if this city is to be identified with the Sumerian Ur, it would be within the original Chaldean homeland south of the Euphrates. a few interpreters have additionally tried to identify Abraham's birthplace with Chaldia, a distinct region in Asia Minor on the Black Sea. According to the Book of Jubilees, Ur Kaśdim (and Chaldea) took their name from Ura and Kesed, descendants of Arpachshad. When Cyrus the Great conquered the great city of Babylon in the sixth century BC, his Magi came into contact with the teachings of the city's astrologers, known as Chaldeans. Diodorus of Sicily, a Greek historian of 80 to 20 BC, and author of a universal history, Bibliotheca historica thought highly of Chaldean magi (priests). Bibliotheca historica Book II, 28:29-31 IMAGO MUNDI The first known map of the World THE BABYLONIAN CLAY TABLET 6th century BC Located at the British Museum – London. 92687 http://www.britishmuseum.org/explore/highlights/highlight_objects/me/m/map_of_the_world.aspx Heavenly Ocean (Top) Earthly Ocean (Bottom) Map and quote is by Henry Davis Henry Davis Consulting PO Box 105 Ash Fork, AZ 86320 phone: (831) 359-1310 e-mail:<henry@henry-davis.com> http://youtu.be/lIvUl2ViK34 Title: Chaldea From the Earliest Times to the Rise of Assyria Author: Zénaïde A. Ragozin The kingdom of Shumir (Shinar of the Hebrews) was located Southern Chaldea (Calda, Kaldu). The Chaldean tribe first dwelled in the marshes of the Persian Gulf, They slowly expanded their territory northwest, which the land later was known by their name. Ur, the city of the moon god (Sin, Nanna), was established as the capital of Chaldea. Chaldea, like the rest of Mesopotamia and much of the ancient Near East and Asia Minor, from the 10th to late 7th centuries BC, came to be dominated by the Assyrian Empire, based in northern Mesopotamia. Greenstone seal of Hashhamer Ur-Nammu (or Ur-Namma, Ur-Engur, Ur-Gur, ca. 2047-2030 BC short chronology) founded the Sumerian 3rd dynasty of Ur, in southern Mesopotamia, following several centuries of Akkadian and Gutian rule. His main achievement was state-building, and Ur-Nammu is chiefly remembered today for his legal code, the Code of Ur-Nammu, the oldest known surviving example in the world. The Akkadian Empire was an ancient Semitic empire centered in the city of Akkad and its surrounding region in ancient Mesopotamia which united all the indigenous Akkadian speaking Semites and the Sumerian speakers under one rule within a multilingual empire. The Akkadian Empire controlled Mesopotamia, the Levant, and parts of Iran. Sargon of Akkad, also known as Sargon the Great "the Great King" (Akkadian Šarru-kīnu, meaning "the true king" or "the king is legitimate"), was a Semitic Akkadian emperor famous for his conquest of the Sumerian city-states in the 23rd and 22nd centuries BC. The founder of the Dynasty of Akkad, Sargon reigned during the last quarter of the third millennium BC. Cuneiform sources agree that he was cup-bearer (official in charge of wine) of king Ur-Zababa of Kish, and some later historians have speculated that he killed the king and usurped his throne before embarking on the quest to conquer Mesopotamia. Sargon, throughout his long life, showed special deference to the Sumerian deities, particularly Inanna (Ishtar), his patroness, and Zababa, the warrior god of Kish. He called himself "The anointed priest of Anu" and "the great ensi of Enlil" and his daughter, Enheduanna, was installed as priestess to Nanna at the temple in Ur. In Sumerian mythology, Anu (also An from Sumerian *An = sky, heaven and Ea) was the oldest god and father of the pantheon, he the a sky-god, the god of heaven, lord of constellations, king of gods, spirits and demons, and dwelt in the highest heavenly regions. It was believed that he had the power to judge those who had committed crimes, and that he had created the stars as soldiers to destroy the wicked. His attribute was the royal tiara (crown). Anu was part of a triad including Enlil (god of the air) and Enki (god of water). Anu is so prominently associated with the E-anna temple in the city of Uruk (biblical Erech) in southern Babylonia that there are good reasons for believing this place to be the original seat of the Anu cult. If this is correct, then the goddess Inanna (or Ishtar) of Uruk may at one time have been his consort. The god Ilabrat (Ilabrat, Ili-Abrat, Ili-Abrat, Habrat, Sumerian Ninshubur or Sumerian Ninshubur, Papsukkal)) was Anu's attendant, minister of state was the god, and messenger of the gods. As Inanna was associated with the planet Venus, Ninshubur was said to be associated with Mercury, as Venus and Mercury appear together in the sky. Ninshubur accompanied Inanna as a vassal and friend throughout Inanna's many exploits. She helped Inanna fight Enki's demons after Inanna's theft of the sacred me. Later, when Inanna became trapped in the Underworld, it was Ninshubur who pleaded with Enki for her mistress's release. Though described as an unmarried virgin, in a few accounts Ninshubur is said to be one of Inanna's lovers. In later Akkadian mythology, Ninshubur was male. In "A hymn to Nergal" Ninshubur appeared as the minister of the underworld. Sumer (from Akkadian Šumeru; Sumerian "land of the civilized kings" or "native land") was an ancient civilization and historical region in southern Mesopotamia, modern-day southern Iraq, during the Chalcolithic and Early Bronze Age. Modern historians have suggested that Sumer was first permanently settled between c. 5500 and 4000 BC by a non-Semitic people who may or may not have spoken the Sumerian language (pointing to the names of cities, rivers, basic occupations, etc. as evidence). These conjectured, prehistoric people are now called "proto-Euphrateans" or "Ubaidians", and are theorized to have evolved from the Samarra culture of northern Mesopotamia (Assyria). The Ubaidians were the first civilizing force in Sumer, draining the marshes for agriculture, developing trade, and establishing industries, including weaving, leatherwork, metalwork, masonry, and pottery. It is known that Sumer, Accad, Ur, al'Ubaid used copper between 5,000 and 6,000 years ago. Even at such an early date, these people adopted the practice of burying under the foundations of buildings a record concerning the builder. Lugal-Zage-Si was the last Sumerian King before the conquest of Sumer by Sargon of Akkad and the rise of the Akkadian Empire. After coming to power in Umma he had conquered or otherwise come into possession of Ur, Uruk, Nippur, and Lagash. Lugal-Zage-Si claimed in his inscription that the god Enlil gave to him rulership of "all the lands between the upper and the lower seas", that is, between the Mediterranean Sea and the Persian Gulf. There are no actual evidence that his territory actually extended that far. Enlil (nlin), (EN = Lord + LÍL = Wind, "Lord (of the) Storm") is the God of breath, wind, loft and breadth (height and distance). It was the name of a chief deity listed and written about in Sumerian religion, and later in Akkadian (Assyrian and Babylonian), Hittite, Canaanite and other Mesopotamian clay and stone tablets. The name is perhaps pronounced and sometimes rendered in translations as "Ellil" in later Akkadian, Hittite, and Canaanite literature. In later Akkadian, Enlil is the son of Anshar and Kishar. As Enlil was the only god who could reach the heaven god An, he held sway over the other gods who were assigned tasks by his agent and would travel to Nippur to draw in his power. He is thus seen as the model for kingship. Enlil was also known as the god of weather. According to the Sumerians, Enlil helped create the humans, but then got tired of their noise and tried to kill them by sending a flood. A mortal known as Utnapishtim survived the flood through the help of another god, Ea, and he was made immortal by Enlil after Enlil's initial fury had subsided. Anu had several consorts, the foremost being Ki (earth), Nammu, and Uras. By Ki he was the father of, among others, the Anunnaki gods. By Uras he was the father of Nin'insinna. According to legends, heaven and earth were once inseparable until An and Ki bore Enlil, god of the air, who cleaved heaven and earth in two. An and Ki were, in some texts, identified as brother and sister being the children of Anshar and Kishar. Ki later developed into the Akkadian goddess Antu (also known as "Keffen Anu", "Kef", and "Keffenk Anum"). In the Epic of Gilgamesh, Ninsun is depicted as a human queen who lives in Uruk with her son as king. Since the father of Gilgamesh was former king Lugalbanda, it stands to reason that Ninsun procreated with Lugalbanda to give birth. According to the ancient Babylonian text, Nininsina wedded Pabilsag near a riverbank. Pabilsag warrior son of Enlil in Mesopotamian tradition he was the guardian god of the city of Isin and Larak. Pabilsag and Ninsun she bore Damu. Pabilsag is also called Ninurta and revered as a god of war. Pabilsag was considered both highly intelligent and tremendously strong. He resembled a cross between a man and a scorpion in appearance, and is said to have guarded the gate between the human world and the demon world. Pabilsag was also known later as Sagittarius, the Archer. When the hero Gilgamesh descended into the demon world in search of immortality, he came to this gate guarded by Pabilsag. When Pa Bil Sag aimed his bow at Gilgamesh, he was such a terrible sight to behold that even Gilgamesh, slayer of countless monsters, recoiled in fear. Damu is a god of vegetation and rebirth in Sumerian mythology Anu existed in Sumerian cosmogony as a dome that covered the flat earth; Outside of this dome was the primordial body of water known as Tiamat (not to be confused with the subterranean Abzu). In Sumerian, the designation "An" was used interchangeably with "the heavens" so that in some cases it is doubtful whether, under the term, the god An or the heavens is being denoted. The Akkadians inherited An as the god of heavens from the Sumerian as Anu-, and in Akkadian cuneiform, the DINGIR character may refer either to Anum or to the Akkadian word for god, ilu-, and consequently had two phonetic values an and il. Hittite cuneiform as adapted from the Old Assyrian kept the an value but abandoned it. Sin (Akkadian: Su'en, Sîn) or Nanna (Sumerian: DŠEŠ.KI, DNANNA) was the god of the moon in the Mesopotamian mythology of Akkad, Assyria and Babylonia. Nanna is a Sumerian deity, the son of Enlil and Ninlil, and became identified with Semitic Sin. The two chief seats of Nanna's/Sin's worship were Ur in the south of Mesopotamia and Harran in the north.- 238 replies

The Didache Chapter 5 Old Holy Roman Church of the English Rite: Catechism Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi declares to be an incarnation of Adi Shakti - who is known in other religions as the Holy Spirit (Christianity), Shekhinah/ Ruach (Judaism), Ruh of Allah (Islam), Aykaa Mayee (Sikhism), Wakan-Taka (Native Indian Spirituality). Does Shri Mataji believe that the Holy Spirit dwells within her? Or does Shri Mataji profess she is the Holy Spirit? If the former, does Shri Mataji believe we all have the Holy Spirit dwelling with us? If the latter does Shri Mataji profess we are all the Holy Spirit? Here is what the Catholic Church states about idolizing human beings and Hindu karma. INTERNATIONAL THEOLOGICAL COMMISSION SELECT QUESTIONS ON THE THEOLOGY OF GOD THE REDEEMER (1995) Karma Yoga teaches that selfish desire is the source of all evil. All suffering, misery, disease and misfortune lies in our own actions. Christianity teaches the same thing. There are two points in this passage that I want to note. First, the Holy Spirit was with King David, not Jesus. Otherwise Jesus would have made it plain for all to understand. Second, Jesus explains the difference between His relationship with the Father and David's relationship with the Lord. Mark 12 It is important to know that anyone who states they know and understand Jesus will NOT state that they know God without Jesus. They also know the Holy Spirit comes from God from the request of Jesus. John 15 Anyone who believes the Gospel of John is true understands that no one has see our Father except Jesus. John 6 Although God the Father is unknowable He does share His Wisdom and Commands with us through His Holy Spirit, His Son Jesus, Angels, and Patriarchs. James 1 Third Chakra: Nabhi It appears possible to get an understanding for the origins of the word Spirit. I am hoping to find the divergence of the how people view the Holy Spirit. Thus, truly know the sin of idolatry and everything that comes with it. Pneuma, "air in motion, breath, wind," is equivalent in the material monism of Anaximenes to aer (ἀήρ, "air") as the element from which all else originated. This usage is the earliest extant occurrence of the term in philosophy. A quotation from Anaximenes observes that "just as our soul (psyche), being air (aer), holds us together, so do breath (pneuma) and air (aer) encompass the whole world." In this early usage, aer and pneuma are synonymous. Anaximenes would have loved to observe the boson force of nature that holds matter together. Heraclitus would have been a big fan of zero point energy as well. More on these two points in another topic.- 238 replies

The Didache (The Teaching) First Christian Catechism
Luke_Wilbur replied to Luke_Wilbur's topic in Christianity
The Didache Chapter 5 The Great Isaiah Scroll reads that that a man from the line of David will have the Wisdom of God's Holy Spirit. My faith believes the prophet was speaking about Jesus Christ. Isaiah 11 The first word is b'reishit, or Bereishit ( בְּרֵאשִׁית[/size] ) "at [the] head [of]", or more colloquially, "in [the] beginning [of]" The Bereshith Rabbah states Wisdom is the Torah. And in the Torah Hashem created. If we include the Zohar to this idea: In Wisdom the female principle, Oral Torah and male principle, Written Torah Hashem Created. If we add the prophecy of Isaiah to this idea: In the Spirit of Wisdom the female principle, Oral Torah, and male principle, Written Torah Hashem created. If we add the Genesis Rabbah to this idea: In thought through Hashem's Spirit the Wisdom of the Living Word, Torah, and Throne of Glory came to be. Hashem contemplated the names: Messiah, Patriarchs, Israel, and Repentance. In the Spirit of Wisdom the male principle, Written Torah, and the female principle, Oral Torah Hashem created Heaven and Earth. Genesis Rabbah Chapter 1 Bereshith The Book of the Secrets of Enoch or the Second Book of Enoch was written by Jews in the late first century. God relates to Enoch, how out of the very deepest parts came forth the visible and invisible Second Book of Enoch Chapter 25 God summons from the very deepest a second time that Archas, heavy and very red should come forth Second Book of Enoch Chapter 26 Adoil and Archas are the beings Enoch described who executed Hashem's architectural physics to create the universe. I am looking for statements from the great faiths on the validity of 2 Enoch. When I read it was written in the first century after the death of Christ it becomes suspect. Although this could have been orally transmitted like the Talmud. What is more interesting is Adoil's unfolding of the Universe is similar to our modern 'Big Bang' theory. And Archas red shift. Here we find Hashem's Wisdom once again creating man from seven consistencies. Second Book of Enoch Chapter 30 If we add the Second Book of Enoch to the idea of creation: In thought through Hashem's Spirit the Throne of Glory and the Wisdom of the Word and Torah came to be. Hashem contemplated the names: Messiah, Patriarchs, Israel, and Repentance. In the Spirit of Wisdom the female principle, Oral Torah, and male principle, Written Torah Hashem created. Second Book of Enoch Chapter 33 If we add Colossians 1 to the idea of creation: Through thought Hashem's Spirit the Wisdom of the Living Word (Jesus) and Throne of Glory came to be. Hashem contemplated the names: Patriarchs, Israel, Torah and Repentance. Through Jesus Hashem created Heaven and Earth. Colossians 1 Through the power of Hashem's Holy Spirit, His Holy Word (Jesus Christ) became flesh for the world to witness. The men and women that did have opportunity to see the miracles of the Living Word (Jesus Christ) were given a choice to follow His Way or the path of sin. John 15 Hebrews 1 Here is a wonderful poem on what the gift of Jesus brings.- 238 replies

The Didache (The Teaching) First Christian Catechism

The Didache Chapter 5 4. "And the earth was without form" Portion Beresheet A 5. "And there was light" Portion Beresheet A 6. "Let there be a firmament" Portion Beresheet A From what I understand at this point the Seifrot is similar to the Trinity that there is more than one aspect of the Godhead. What I do not know is whether these aspects are considered constructs. Further the Seifrot aspects are divided into three columns. The left column is female which is aggressive and wants to govern. The right column wants to transcend closer to Hashem. The middle column is the how Keter balances and controls the actions of both sides. There are two levels of Heaven. The upper is Binah, the lower is Malchut are both female. The four levels of understanding Islam. Alam-i-Hahut (Realm of He-ness) The Realm of pre-existence, the condition of the universe before its formation, equated with the unknowable essence of God. Alam-e-Hahut has similarities to the Christian concept of Deus absconditus, the Hindu notion of Nirguna Brahman and the Kabbalist idea of the En-Sof. Alam-i-Lahut (Realm of Divinity) That region where incalculable unseen tiny dots emerge and expand to such large circles that they engulf the entire universe. This Realm is also known as Tajalliat (The Beatific Vision, or the Circle of the Beatific Vision). Alam-i-Jabarut (Realm of Power) The stage when the universe is constituted into features. Hijab-e-Kibria (The Grand Veil) is the last limit of this realm. Nehr-e-tajreed (Channel of Abstraction), whose last limit is The Realm of Omnipotency, feeds the Human Soul with its information. Alam-i-Malakut (Angelic Realm) The stage when the characteristics of the species and their individuals descend from the Realm of Omnipotency, separate consciousnesses comes into being. Its last limit is called Hijab-e-Azmat (The Great Veil). Nehr-e-Tasheed (Channel of Evidence) whose last limit is Angelic Realm, feeds the subtleties of the human heart. Alam-i-Nasut (Realm of Humans) The stage when foundations of the tangible world of matter are laid, (parallel to the Tree of Life's sephiroth of Malkuth). It includes the material realm and all the normally visible cosmos. Nehr-e-Tazheer (Channel of Manifestation) whose last limit is Alam-e-Nasut, feeds The subtleties of ego. The late Maulana Syed Muhammad Miyan, who served for many years, before and after 1947, as the general secretary of the Jamiat ul-Ulema-e Hind writes, that it was in India that for the first time the Holy Spirit (ruh-i muqaddas) appeared on earth, that the glory (azmat) and unity (tauhid) of God was mentioned, and that Muhammad’s prophet-hood was announced. Abu ‘Ali al-Husayn ibn Sina (also known by the Latinized name "Avicenna.") speaks of the capacity for prophecy as sanctified spirit (ruh muqaddas) and describes the prophet's mind as a holy intellect or divine power. As the highest point above the Active Intellect, God, the pure intellect, is also the highest object of human knowledge. All sense experience, logic and the faculties of the human soul are therefore directed at grasping the fundamental structure of reality as it emanates from that source and, through various levels of being down to the Active Intellect, becomes available to human thought through reason or, in the case of prophets holy intellect, intuition. By this conception, then, there is a close relation between logic, thought, experience, the grasp of the ultimate structure of reality and an understanding of God. As the highest and purest intellect, God is the source of all the existent things in the world. Do Muslims believe that there are many Holy intellects and there equally many Holy Spirits that communicate with them? Maimonides and his followers, who regarded man as a fragment of the universe whose immortality is dependent upon the degree of development of his active intellect. The Zohar instead declared Man to be the lord of the creation, whose immortality is solely dependent upon his morality. My novice understanding of Kabbalist and Sufi mysticism leads me to think that both groups correctly understand that the Holy Intellect is a gift of discipline given by Hashem in both understanding and following His commands. Their paths are different, but their goal of achieving enlightenment is the same. In my faith, Jesus is closest ideal of what God really is and his commands are humane. John 10 According to Russian Orthodox belief, Jesus was the one who spoke with the prophets in the Old Testament. Does the above mean Jesus was the female personification of Wisdom that Solomon mentioned? Qaim (the last infallible spiritual guide) 1 Corinthians 1- 238 replies

The Didache (The Teaching) First Christian Catechism
Luke_Wilbur replied to Luke_Wilbur's topic in Christianity
The Didache Chapter 5 I asked and I received. During my spiritual journey this past year researching the Didache I prayed to have my questions answered. The Holy Spirit has revealed Wisdom during sermons and/or readings that week. Pope Francis reveals the 'Seven Pillars of Wisdom' as the 'Sequence of the Holy Spirit.' I asked a question to the group 'Jews for Judaism' to clarify how the Shekinah is a distinct generative element of Hashem. Some believe the Shekinah is female and has character. Here are two answers that I received. The 'tallit gadol' Morgan Garrett refers to is a rectangular "prayer shawl" that is traditionally worn during morning prayers on weekdays and Shabbat, and also during other Jewish holidays. After the destruction of the Second Temple and the suspension of sacrificial offerings, the formal role of priests in sacrificial services came to an end, whether temporary or permanent. However, Kohanim retain a formal and public ceremonial role in synagogue prayer services, which were established as a substitute for or reminder of the sacrifices themselves ("Take with you words, and return unto the LORD; say unto Him: "Forgive all iniquity, and accept that which is good; so will we render for bullocks the offering of our lips..." (Hosea 14:3)). Kohanim also have a limited number of other special duties/privileges in Jewish religious practice. These special roles have been maintained in Orthodox Judaism, and sometimes in Conservative Judaism. Reform Judaism does not afford any special status or recognition to Kohanim. Every Monday, Thursday and Shabbat in Orthodox synagogues (and many Conservative ones as well), a portion from the Torah is read aloud in the original Hebrew in front of the congregation. On weekdays, this reading is divided into three; it is customary to call a Kohen for the first reading (aliyah), a Levite for the second reading, and a member of any other Tribe of Israel to the third reading. On Shabbat, the reading is divided into seven portions; a Kohen is called for the first aliyah and a Levite to the second, and a member of another tribe for the rest. The Kohanim participating in an Orthodox prayer service also deliver the Priestly Blessing, during the repetition of the Shemoneh Esrei. They perform this service by standing and facing the crowd in the front of the congregation, with their arms held outwards and their hands and fingers in a specific formation. Kohanim living in Israel and many Sephardic Jews living in areas outside of Israel deliver the Priestly Blessing (birkat kohanim) daily; Ashkenazi Jews living outside of Israel deliver it only on Jewish holidays. May God bless you and guard you. May God make God's face shine upon you and grant grace to you. May God lift up God's face to you and give you peace. Saadia Gaon was first important rabbinic figure to write extensively in Arabic, he is considered the founder of Judeo-Arabic literature. Known for his works on Hebrew linguistics, Halakha, and Jewish philosophy, he was one of the more sophisticated practitioners of the philosophical school known as the "Jewish Kalam". In this capacity, his philosophical work Emunoth ve-Deoth represents the first systematic attempt to integrate Jewish theology with components of Greek philosophy. Saadia was also very active in opposition to Karaism, which denied the authority of the Talmud, believing only in the T'NaCh, had become very strong and influential in Saadia's time, especially in Egypt. Jewish Kalam was an early-medieval style of Jewish philosophy that evolved in response to the Islamic Kalam, which in turn was a reaction against Aristotelian philosophy. The term "Jewish Kalam" is used by modern historians, but is not a term by which Jewish Kalamic thinkers designated themselves. In all likelihood, they were simply known as Mutakallimūn (Kalamists), as they are referred to by Maimonides (called Rambam by Jewish scholars) and other Jewish writers. SAADIA GAON HIS LIFE AND WORKS BY HENRY MALTER, Ph. D. Here is an excerpt from an article I found from the Holy See. The Zohar teaches the mastery of understanding the words of Hashem. When God speaks the result is creation and reveals the world. The essence of civilization is our right to choose whether or not to present our inner self to others. This right of choice is privacy. As we master the mystery of sound we gain greater self realization and the ability to engage with Hashem. The Jewish faith really promotes education of understanding the proper form of diction. This may be the reason why there are so many Jewish lawyers. 10. The vision of Rabbi Chiya Portion Prologue 13. The two points Portion Prologue 14. The night of the Bride 17. "Who is this" 2. "The brightness of the firmament" Portion Beresheet A Malkuth or Malchut or Shekhinah, is the tenth of the sephirot in the Kabbalistic Tree of Life.- 238 replies

The Didache (The Teaching) First Christian Catechism
Luke_Wilbur replied to Luke_Wilbur's topic in Christianity
I have distilled the preceding passages on Sophia, and the Shekinah from Bible, Apocrypha, and Targums to further my understanding of the Holy Spirit as feminine. In wisdom the Lord created. By Sophia the Lord laid the foundation of the earth For Sophia is the breath of the power of God, and a pure influence flowing from the Shekinah of the Almighty: therefore can no defiled thing fall into her. Learn where is sound judgement, where is strength, where is understanding: that thou mayst know also where is length of days and life, where is the light of the eyes, and peace. Who hath found out her place? and who hath gone in to her treasures? There is none that is able to know her ways, nor that can search out her paths: But Hashem that knows all things, knows her, and hath found her out with His understanding: He that prepared the earth for evermore, and filled it with cattle and four footed beasts For God loves none but him that dwells with wisdom. Wherefore I prayed, and understanding was given me: I called upon God, and the spirit of wisdom came to me. Sophia is the Shekinah, and never fades away: yea, her glory is easily seen of them that love her, and found of such as seek her For she is more beautiful than the sun, and above all the order of stars: being compared with the light, she is found before it. For she is the brightness of the everlasting light, the unspotted mirror of the power of God, and the image of his goodness. For the very true beginning of her is the desire of discipline; and the care of discipline is love. Sophia has built her house, she has hewn out her seven pillars Sophia reaches from one end to another mightily: and sweetly doth she order all things. She has prepared her meat, she has mixed her wine; she also has arranged her table. “Come, eat some of my food, and drink some of the wine I have mixed. My fruit is better than the purest gold, and what I produce is better than choice silver. The fruit that consists of righteousness is planted in peace among those who make peace. I love those who love me,and those who seek me find me. For the one who finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord. Blessed is the one who listens to me, watching at my doors day by day, waiting beside my doorway. The Lord created me as the beginning of his works, before his deeds of long ago. From eternity I was appointed, from the beginning, from before the world existed. Riches and honor are with me,long-lasting wealth and righteousness. Kings reign by means of me,and potentates decree righteousness; by me princes rule,as well as nobles and all righteous judges. Abandon your foolish ways so that you may live, and proceed in the way of understanding. Listen to my instruction so that you may be wise, and do not neglect it. I, wisdom, live with prudence, and I find knowledge and discretion. The beginning of wisdom is to fear the Lord, and acknowledging the Holy One is understanding. Counsel and sound judgement belong to me; I possess understanding and power. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; I hate arrogant pride and the evil way and perverse utterances. Tell the next generation about the Lord’s praiseworthy acts, about his strength and the amazing things he has done. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer everyone. Give instruction to a wise person, and he will become wiser still; teach a righteous person and he will add to his learning. If you are wise, you are wise to your own advantage, but if you are a mocker, you alone must bear it. Whoever corrects a mocker is asking for insult; whoever reproves a wicked person receives abuse. Do not reprove a mocker or he will hate you; reprove a wise person and he will love you. The one who denounces his neighbor lacks wisdom, but the one who has discernment keeps silent. The one who goes about slandering others reveals secrets, but the one who is trustworthy conceals a matter. If you have bitter jealousy and selfishness in your hearts, do not boast and tell lies against the truth. Such thoughts do not come from above but are earthly, natural, demonic. For where there is jealousy and selfishness, there is disorder and every evil practice. My Holy Spirit of discipline will flee deceit, and remove from thoughts that are without understanding, and will not abide when unrighteousness comes in. Disaster will overtake you; you will not know how to charm it away. Destruction will fall on you; you will not be able to appease it. Calamity will strike you suddenly, before you recognize it. The one who wanders from the way of my teachings will rest among the Shades. For I am a loving spirit; and will not acquit a blasphemer of his words: for God is witness of your true intentions, and a true beholder of your heart, and a hearer of your tongue. END If you are to believe in a feminine personification of Wisdom defined by Solomon as shown by my example above, then the Gospel of John and the Letters of Paul would not be truth and the deifying Jesus and Holy Spirit would be the sin of idolatry. 2 Peter and Paul's letter to the Corinthians discuss those that receive the gift of Wisdom and Knowledge from the Holy Spirit are speaking from God. Thus the Gospel of John and Paul's letters would be blasphemy and those that follow their teaching would be in Apostasy, unless these books are improperly translated.. I will research if Pope John Paul I and Saint John Paul II made any statements about the Holy Spirit. If the Sophia/Shekinah personification of Wisdom is a construct, then the deifying Sophia/Shekinah would be the sin of idolatry. Sophia/Shekinah have character and act on their own will. If you believe in the Gospel of John, then you know the Holy Spirit cannot act on its own accord. It would not be possible for the Holy Spirit to be Sophia/Shekinah, for they speak and act on their own will. Therefore, stating the Holy Spirit is Sophia/Shekinah would be blasphemy and idolatry. If you believe in the Gospel of John and Paul's letter to the Corinthians, then you know the Holy Spirit is described in masculine terms of He and His. Sophia/Shekinah are described in terms of She and Her. Therefore, stating the Holy Spirit is feminine terms would be blasphemy unless these books are improperly translated. John 14 John 15 Acts 13 2 Peter 1 Colossians 1 Corinthians 12 Just when I make definitive statements about the Holy Spirit a curve ball gets thrown my way. Through the power of the Holy Spirit I pray to our Lord Jesus to ask the Father to either give me the gift of discernment of spirits or lead to me a person with this gift wisdom and knowledge.- 238 replies

Is it possible for the the Holy Spirit is both the Glory (Shekinah) and Wisdom (Sophia) of God? Do we have a soul blessed with water when we enter this world. Many people throughout history on earth have been searching for answers to our existence. A reoccurring theme is how God cast light on understanding the way of the righteous. I pray that I may gain discipline and the fruit of prudence. My aim is to fear, love, please and serve our Lord by learning and following His law. Here is what I have found. Targum of Jonathan Ben Uzziel 1 In wisdom (be-hukema) the Lord created. Hebrew Midrash - Exodus Rabba Water, air, and fire were created before the world; the water begat darkness, the fire begat light, the spirit or air begat wisdom, and with these the world is always governed, viz., wind, fire, wisdom, light, darkness, and water. Proverbs 3:19 By wisdom the Lord laid the foundation of the earth; 8:12 “I, wisdom, live with prudence, and I find knowledge and discretion. 8:13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; I hate arrogant pride and the evil way and perverse utterances 8:14 Counsel and sound wisdom belong to me; I possess understanding and might. 8:15 Kings reign by means of me, and potentates decree righteousness; 8:16 by me princes rule, as well as nobles and all righteous judges. 32 8:17 I love those who love me,and those who seek me find me. 8:18 Riches and honor are with me,long-lasting wealth and righteousness. 8:19 My fruit is better than the purest gold, and what I produce is better than choice silver. 8:20 I walk in the path of righteousness,in the pathway of justice, 8:21 that I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth, and that I may fill their treasuries. 8:22 The Lord created me as the beginning 40 of his works, before his deeds of long ago. 8:23 From eternity I was appointed, from the beginning, from before the world existed. 8:24 When there were no deep oceans I was born, when there were no springs overflowing with water; 8:25 before the mountains were set in place – before the hills – I was born, 8:26 before he made the earth and its fields, or the beginning of the dust of the world. 8:27 When he established the heavens, I was there;when he marked out the horizon over the face of the deep, 8:28 when he established the clouds above, when the fountains of the deep grew strong, 8:29 when he gave the sea his decree that the waters should not pass over his command, when he marked out the foundations of the earth, 8:30 then I was beside him as a master craftsman, and I was his delight day by day, rejoicing before him at all times, 8:31 rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth, and delighting in its people. 8:32 “So now, children, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways. 8:33 Listen to my instruction so that you may be wise, and do not neglect it. 8:34 Blessed is the one who listens to me, watching at my doors day by day, waiting beside my doorway. 8:35 For the one who finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord. 8:36 But the one who does not find me brings harm to himself; all who hate me love death.” 8:35 For whoso finds me finds life, and obtains favor of the LORD. 9:1 Wisdom has built her house, she has hewn out her seven pillars; 9:2 She has prepared her meat, she has mixed her wine; she also has arranged her table. 9:3 She has sent out her female servants; she calls out on the highest places of the city. 9:4 “Whoever is naive, let him turn in here,” she says to those who lack understanding. 9:5 “Come, eat some of my food, and drink some of the wine I have mixed. 9:6 Abandon your foolish ways so that you may live, and proceed in the way of understanding.” 9:7 Whoever corrects a mocker is asking for insult; whoever reproves a wicked person receives abuse. 9:8 Do not reprove a mocker or he will hate you; reprove a wise person and he will love you. 9:9 Give instruction to a wise person, and he will become wiser still; teach a righteous person and he will add to his learning. 9:10 The beginning of wisdom is to fear the Lord, and acknowledging the Holy One is understanding. 9:11 For because of me your days will be many, and years will be added to your life. 9:12 If you are wise, you are wise to your own advantage, but if you are a mocker, you alone must bear it. 11:12 The one who denounces his neighbor lacks wisdom, but the one who has discernment keeps silent. 11:13 The one who goes about slandering others reveals secrets, but the one who is trustworthy conceals a matter. 21:16 The one who wanders from the way of wisdom will rest among the Shades. Psalms 51:5 Look, I was guilty of sin from birth, a sinner the moment my mother conceived me. 51:6 Look, you desire integrity in the inner man; you want me to possess wisdom. 51:7 Sprinkle me with water and I will be pure; wash me and I will be whiter than snow. 51:8 Grant me the ultimate joy of being forgiven! 78:1 Pay attention, my people, to my instruction! Listen to the words I speak! 78:2 I will sing a song that imparts wisdom; I will make insightful observations about the past. 78:3 What we have heard and learned – that which our ancestors have told us – 78:4 we will not hide from their descendants. We will tell the next generation about the Lord’s praiseworthy acts, about his strength and the amazing things he has done. Isaiah 47:10 You were complacent in your evil deeds; you thought, ‘No one sees me.’ Your self-professed wisdom and knowledge lead you astray, when you say, ‘I am unique! No one can compare to me!’ 47:11 Disaster will overtake you; you will not know how to charm it away. Destruction will fall on you; you will not be able to appease it. Calamity will strike you suddenly, before you recognize it. Daniel 9:11 “All Israel has broken your law and turned away by not obeying you. Therefore you have poured out on us the judgment solemnly threatened in the law of Moses the servant of God, for we have sinned against you. 9:12 He has carried out his threats against us and our rulers who were over us by bringing great calamity on us – what has happened to Jerusalem has never been equaled under all heaven! 9:13 Just as it is written in the law of Moses, so all this calamity has come on us. Still we have not tried to pacify the LORD our God by turning back from our sin and by seeking wisdom from your reliable moral standards. 9:14 The LORD was mindful of the calamity, and he brought it on us. For the LORD our God is just in all he has done, and we have not obeyed him. Prophecy Of Baruch 3:14 Learn where is wisdom, where is strength, where is understanding: that thou mayst know also where is length of days and life, where is the light of the eyes, and peace. 3:15 Who hath found out her place? and who hath gone in to her treasures? 3:26 26 There were the giants, those renowned men that were from the beginning, of great stature, expert in war. 3:27 The Lord chose not them, neither did they find the way of knowledge: therefore did they perish. 3:28 And because they had not wisdom, they perished through their folly. 3:29 Who hath gone up into heaven, and taken her, and brought her down from the clouds? 3:30 Who hath passed over the sea, and found her, and brought her preferably to chosen gold? 3:31 There is none that is able to know her ways, nor that can search out her paths: 3:32 But he that knows all things, knows her, and hath found her out with his understanding: He that prepared the earth for evermore, and filled it with cattle and fourfooted beasts: 3:33 He that sends forth light, and it goes: and hath called it, and it obeys him with trembling. 3:36 This is our God, and there shall no other be accounted of in comparison of him. 3:37 He found out all the way of knowledge, and gave it to Jacob his servant, and to Israel his beloved. 3:39 Afterwards he was seen upon earth, and conversed with men. 3:40 "Was seen upon earth"... viz., by the mystery of the incarnation, by means of which the son of God came visibly amongst us, and conversed with men. The prophets often speak of things to come as if they were past, to express the certainty of the event of the things foretold. Wisdom 1:4 For into a malicious soul wisdom shall not enter; nor dwell in the body that is subject unto sin. 1:5 the holy spirit of discipline will flee deceit, and remove from thoughts that are without understanding, and will not abide when unrighteousness cometh in. 1:6 For wisdom is a loving spirit; and will not acquit a blasphemer of his words: for God is witness of his reins, and a true beholder of his heart, and a hearer of his tongue. 7:7 Wherefore I prayed, and understanding was given me: I called upon God, and the spirit of wisdom came to me. 5:12 Wisdom is glorious, and never fades away: yea, she is easily seen of them that love her, and found of such as seek her. 5:13 She prevents them that desire her, in making herself first known unto them. 5:14 Whoso seeks her early shall have no great travail: for he shall find her sitting at his doors. 5:15 To think therefore upon her is perfection of wisdom: and whoso looks for her shall quickly be without care. 5:16 For she goes about seeking such as are worthy of her, shows herself favourably unto them in the ways, and meets them in every thought. 5:17 For the very true beginning of her is the desire of discipline; and the care of discipline is love; 5:18 And love is the keeping of her laws; and the giving heed unto her laws is the assurance of incorruption; 7:7 Wherefore I prayed, and understanding was given me: I called upon God, and the spirit of wisdom came to me. 7:8 I preferred her before scepters and thrones, and esteemed riches nothing in comparison of her. 7:9 Neither compared I unto her any precious stone, because all gold in respect of her is as a little sand, and silver shall be counted as clay before her. 7:10 I loved her above health and beauty, and chose to have her instead of light: for the light that cometh from her never goeth out. 7:11 All good things together came to me with her, and innumerable riches in her hands. 7:12 And I rejoiced in them all, because wisdom goes before them: and I knew not that she was the mother of them. 7:13 I learned diligently, and do communicate her liberally: I do not hide her riches. 7:14 For she is a treasure unto men that never fails: which they that use become the friends of God, being commended for the gifts that come from learning. 7:15 God hath granted me to speak as I would, and to conceive as is meet for the things that are given me: because it is he that leads unto wisdom, and directs the wise. 7:17 For in his hand are both we and our words; all wisdom also, and knowledge of workmanship. 7:22 For wisdom, which is the worker of all things, taught me: for in her is an understanding spirit holy, one only, manifold, subtil, lively, clear, undefiled, plain, not subject to hurt, loving the thing that is good quick, which cannot be letted, ready to do good, 7:23 Kind to man, steadfast, sure, free from care, having all power, overseeing all things, and going through all understanding, pure, and most subtle, spirits. 7:24 For wisdom is more moving than any motion: she passes and goes through all things by reason of her pureness. 7:25 For she is the breath of the power of God, and a pure influence flowing from the glory of the Almighty: therefore can no defiled thing fall into her. 7:26 For she is the brightness of the everlasting light, the unspotted mirror of the power of God, and the image of his goodness. 7:27 And being but one, she can do all things: and remaining in herself, she makes all things new: and in all ages entering into holy souls, she makes them friends of God, and prophets. 7:28 For God loveth none but him that dwelleth with wisdom. 7:29 For she is more beautiful than the sun, and above all the order of stars: being compared with the light, she is found before it. 7:30 For after this cometh night: but vice shall not prevail against wisdom. 8:1 Wisdom reaches from one end to another mightily: and sweetly doth she order all things. 8:2 I loved her, and sought her out from my youth, I desired to make her my spouse, and I was a lover of her beauty. 8:3 In that she is conversant with God, she magnified her nobility: yea, the Lord of all things himself loved her. 8:4 For she is privy to the mysteries of the knowledge of God, and a lover of his works. 8:5 If riches be a possession to be desired in this life; what is richer than wisdom, that worketh all things? 8:6 And if prudence work; who of all that are is a more cunning workman than she? 8:7 And if a man love righteousness her labors are virtues: for she teaches temperance and prudence, justice and fortitude: which are such things, as en can have nothing more profitable in their life. 8:8 If a man desire much experience, she knoweth things of old, and conjectureth aright what is to come: she knoweth the subtilties of speeches, and can expound dark sentences: she foreseeth signs and wonders, and the events of seasons and times. 9:4 Give me wisdom, that sits by thy throne; and reject me not from among thy children: 9:5 For I thy servant and son of thine handmaid am a feeble person, and of a short time, and too young for the understanding of judgment and laws. 9:6 For though a man be never so perfect among the children of men, yet if thy wisdom be not with him, he shall be nothing regarded. 9:9 And wisdom was with thee: which knows thy works, and was present when thou made the world, and knew what was acceptable in thy sight, and right in thy commandments. 9:10 O send her out of thy holy heavens, and from the throne of thy glory, that being present she may labor with me, that I may know what is pleasing unto thee. 9:11 For she knows and understands all things, and she shall lead me soberly in my doings, and preserve me in her power. 9:17 And thy counsel who hath known, except thou give wisdom, and send thy Holy Spirit from above? 9:18 For so the ways of them which lived on the earth were reformed, and men were taught the things that are pleasing unto thee, and were saved through wisdom. 10:1 She preserved the first formed father of the world, that was created alone, and brought him out of his fall, 10:2 And gave him power to rule all things. 10:3 But when the unrighteous went away from her in his anger, he perished also in the fury wherewith he murdered his brother. 10:4 For whose cause the earth being drowned with the flood, wisdom again preserved it, and directed the course of the righteous in a piece of wood of small value. 10:5 Moreover, the nations in their wicked conspiracy being confounded, she found out the righteous, and preserved him blameless unto God, and kept him strong against his tender compassion toward his son. 10:6 When the ungodly perished, she delivered the righteous man, who fled from the fire which fell down upon the five cities. 10:7 Of whose wickedness even to this day the waste land that smokes is a testimony, and plants bearing fruit that never come to ripeness: and a standing pillar of salt is a monument of an unbelieving soul. 10:8 For regarding not wisdom, they gat not only this hurt, that they knew not the things which were good; but also left behind them to the world a memorial of their foolishness: so that in the things wherein they offended they could not so much as be hid. 10:9 Rut wisdom delivered from pain those that attended upon her. 10:10 When the righteous fled from his brother's wrath she guided him in right paths, shewed him the kingdom of God, and gave him knowledge of holy things, made him rich in his travels, and multiplied the fruit of his labors. 10:11 In the covetousness of such as oppressed him she stood by him, and made him rich. 10:12 She defended him from his enemies, and kept him safe from those that lay in wait, and in a sore conflict she gave him the victory; that he might know that goodness is stronger than all. 10:13 When the righteous was sold, she forsook him not, but delivered him from sin: she went down with him into the pit, 10:14 And left him not in bonds, till she brought him the scepter of the kingdom, and power against those that oppressed him: as for them that had accused him, she shewed them to be liars, and gave him perpetual glory. 10:15 She delivered the righteous people and blameless seed from the nation that oppressed them. 10:16 She entered into the soul of the servant of the Lord, and withstood dreadful kings in wonders and signs; 10:17 Rendered to the righteous a reward of their labors, guided them in a marvelous way, and was unto them for a cover by day, and a light of stars in the night season; 10:18 Brought them through the Red sea, and led them through much water: 10:19 But she drowned their enemies, and cast them up out of the bottom of the deep. 10:20 Therefore the righteous spoiled the ungodly, and praised thy holy name, O Lord, and magnified with one accord thine hand, that fought for them. 10:21 For wisdom opened the mouth of the dumb, and made the tongues of them that cannot speak eloquent. Matthew 11:19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look at him, a glutton and a drunk, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But Wisdom is vindicated by her deeds.” James 1:5 But if anyone is deficient in wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without reprimand, and it will be given to him. 1:6 But he must ask in faith without doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed around by the wind. 1:7 For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord, 1:8 since he is a double-minded individual, unstable in all his ways. 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct he should show his works done in the gentleness that wisdom brings. 3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfishness in your hearts, do not boast and tell lies against the truth. 3:15 Such wisdom does not come from above but is earthly, natural, demonic. 3:16 For where there is jealousy and selfishness, there is disorder and every evil practice. 3:17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and not hypocritical. 3:18 And the fruit that consists of righteousness is planted in peace among those who make peace. 2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there is freedom. 3:18 And we all, with unveiled faces reflecting the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another, which is from the Lord, who is the Spirit. Colossians 4:5 Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunities. 4:6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer everyone.

The Didache Chapter 5 The term "philosophy" is a compound word, composed of two parts: philos (love) and sophia (wisdom), so that literally it means love of wisdom. To be a philosopher is to love wisdom. But, defining what the term sophia (wisdom) meant to the ancient Greeks. This part I dedicate to my daughter Lyra. The latitudinal planetary coordinates for the Imperial Entrance to the Hagai Sophia is 3.141592, which is Pi to 6 decimal places. The constellation Lyra and the star Vega (α Lyr, α Lyrae, Alpha Lyrae) star co-ordinates is 3.1415 present, which is Pi to 4 decimal places, 3.1415. Right now Polaris is within one degree of true north, but the North Star axial precession was fixed on Vega around 12,000 BC. In 14000 AD Polaris will again be pointing to Vega. This procession is caused by the slow rotation of Earth's axis completing a rotation every 26,000 years. Ancient Astronomers believed that the Earth was stable and the Heavens above were moving through the Zodiac. For agnostics the entrance to the Hagai Sophia begs the question whether man shapes science, or does science shape man? I look for the Wisdom of Hashem to reveal the true science and purpose of His Creation. The Teaching of the Twelve Apostles Chapter 5 Psalm 33 - Hebrew Bible The Aramaic word 'Memra', which means the ‘Word’ or ‘The Word of the Lord’, is used when physical manifestations of God appear or when God is mentioned more than once in the same verse. Memra has different meaning to different beliefs. Memra is the personifcation of Logos meaning Jesus or a variance of the name of G-d to to reflect wisdom to Western Christians; Memra means Sophia meaning Wisdom without female personification and Logos meaning Jesus to Eastern Christians; Memra has a duel meaning with personification for both Sophia and Jesus meaning the twin powers of Wisdom under G-d to the Gnostics; A variance of the name of G-d meaning wisdom Traditional and Orthodox Jews, Shekinah, Metatron, Yahoel to Kabbalists and Pagan Mystery Schools. The Teaching of the Twelve Apostles Chapter 5 Atbash is a simple substitution cipher for the Hebrew alphabet. It consists in substituting aleph (the first letter) for tav (the last), beth (the second) for shin (one before last), and so on, reversing the alphabet. Dr. Hugh J. Schonfield, one of the biblical scholars who worked on the Dead Sea Scrolls, believed the word Baphomet was applied with the Knowledge of the Atbash Cipher. Baphomet is the name of the idol the Knights Templar were accused of worshiping, and subsequently incorporated into disparate occult and mystical traditions. Schonfield was convinced that the Templars were actually worshiping Sophia. In Roman Catholic mysticism, the Doctor of the Church St. Hildegard of Bingen celebrated Sophia as a cosmic figure in both her writing and her art. Sophia, in Catholic theology, is the Wisdom of God, and is thus eternal. On 7 October 2012, Pope Benedict XVI named Hildegard of Bingen a Doctor of the Church. Artwork from a medieval codex depicting Hildegard of Bingen's vision of Ecclesia and Sophia. Hildegardis-Codex, sogenannter Scivias-Codex, Szene: Der mystische Leib Plate 14, Matthew Fox, Illuminations of Hildegard of Bingen HILDEGARD of BINGEN SCIVIAS, Bk. 2, vision 5 THE THREE ORDERS in the CHURCH I just watched a wonderful movie about the life of St. Hildegard of Bingen. Here is the official trailer, Vision - From the Life of Hildegard Von Bingen Hildegard corresponded with Saint Bernard of Clairvaux, who approved and advanced her work, at the behest of her abbot, Kuno, at the Synod of Trier in 1147 and 1148. Bernard of Clairvaux, O.Cist was a French abbot whose parents were Tescelin, Lord of Fontaines, and Aleth of Montbard, both belonging to the highest nobility of Burgundy. Following the Christian defeat at the Siege of Edessa, the pope commissioned Bernard to preach the Second Crusade. Here is one of Saint Bernard's speeches to motivate the crusaders. Saint Bernard was devoted to the Virgin Mary. In their written charter, the Templars dedicate themselves not to Jesus, but to Mary. At this time period orthodox Christianity discouraged feminine symbolism for expressing the essence of the divine. It was heresy that women played leading roles in Gnostic Christian groups, which sometimes described God in feminine language. This all stemmed from Orthodox Christian tradition banned female leadership and description of the divine as female in the second century after the death of Jesus. I wonder if the execution of Jacques de Molay was based on the threat bringing feminism back into the Church. In the mystical theology of the Orthodox Church wisdom is understood as the Divine Logos who became incarnate as Jesus Christ. In the Holy Family, Sophia is often seen as being represented by the Theotokos (Greek title of Mary). Sophia is expressed as the Holy Wisdom of God and the saints, obtained through humility, and in Mary, the Theotokos, the first and greatest of all saints. The Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople Hagia Sophia is the former Greek Orthodox patriarchal basilica (church) similar to Saint Peter's basilica located in the Vatican city. Both Eastern Orthodox and Western Catholic are in communion with most doctrine beliefs. It appears that the Mystical part of the Catholic Church may be even closer with the concept of Sophia. I believe there are natural, logical, moral, and spiritual consequences to our actions. A natural consequence example would be if we too close to the fire we may get burned. A logical consequence example would be if we both agreed prior to getting burned that if you did not stay away from the fire it would be put out. A moral consequence is when you know it is wrong to get near the fire, but rebel against your promise, so everyone does not get to enjoy the fire. A spiritual consequence is when you know it is wrong to go near the fire of the Hashem's Holy Spirit, but rebel against your promise. I am reminded of the Israelites that got burned when they got too close to the Ark of the Covenant. Hashem gave permission for only a few to come close to His Shekinah. For those that believe in Jesus like myself this condition has changed. Jesus gave Man the possibility to personally receive the fire of the Holy Spirit by accepting Him as the Messiah and obeying his teachings on Hashem's commands. The Spiritual consequence now is that if you ask to receive fire of the Holy Spirit to enter you and then rebel against Hashem's commands, those with Him will turn from sin and light will go black. Mystics believe that one can rearrange the many names of Hashem, with a pure heart you will gain insight to the true nature of the Torah. It separates the intellect from the animal. I believe Spiritual Wisdom enters the ignorant sinners like myself when our intentions are completely pure selfless devotion to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Hallowed be His name. I know that I am just an animal without the Wisdom of our Lord. I ask for the intercession of the Handmaid Mary, to receive the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ for Mercy and Grace for sinners like myself to overcome the temptation of nature and gain true devotion to Our Almighty Father. I also pray that my Jewish brothers are enlightened with the holy Shekinah from following your perfect Torah. I also pray for guidance on understanding mystic and Gnostic beliefs about Sophia and Shekinah.- 238 replies

The Teaching of the Twelve Apostles Chapter 5 http://youtu.be/1QSKHAAUsBo I received a well thought out response from John Marie about his thoughts on the Shekinah. I do not think the Virgin Mary is the Shekinah. But, I can understand how people without the power of modern communication or the Grace of Hashem could come to a misunderstanding of the Blessed Mother's place with God. I can conceive the Shekinah glory dwelled in the Blessed Mother. Further I can conceive for a time the Blessed Mother was the new Ark that the Shekinah glory of God dwelled with the new Living Covenant, which was our Lord Jesus Christ. The great Rabbi Moses Mosheh ben Maimon taught the Shekinah was a distinct intermediary of God's glory and light to His Creation. I was told by a Catholic priest that we should not discount the Jewish interpretation of the Torah and the books of the Prophets. But, I am not yet in a place to fully accept the Targums as divinely inspired at this point. The Targums were not supposed to be copied, but were anyway. For this reason alone I consider them more Midrash, than God inspired translation. There are also mentions in the Talmud and Kabbalah that personify the Shekinah similar to the Holy Spirit. Some which consider the Shekinah to be the female Wisdom of the Old Testament. And others to be a construct to better understanding our Creator. I asked Chaudhry Rajinder Nijjhar Jatt, a retired University Lecturer who preaches Christianity, Sikhism and Islam on whether the Shekinah and the Holy Spirit are the same? If one can answer that question, how did they deduce it? First, watch his video. This is the response I received from Chaudhry Rajinder Nijjhar Jatt. I then asked Chaudhry Rajinder Nijjhar Jatt whether he believed that it would be correct to state that the divine feminine is more powerful than the divine masculine? This is the response I received from Chaudhry Rajinder Nijjhar Jatt. Chaudhry Rajinder Nijjhar Jatt does not think of Mary as the mother of Jesus. Rather, he considers Mary as a caretaker for Shakti, the personification, of divine feminine creative power, sometimes referred to as 'The Great Divine Mother' in Hinduism. On the earthly plane, Shakti most actively manifests through female embodiment and creativity/fertility, though it is also present in males in its potential, unmanifest form. It appears that The Devi Bhagwata Mahapurana suggests that Adi Parashakti is the original creator, observer and destroyer of whole universe. I will have to review the Devi Bhagavata Purana ("the old book of the Goddess"), also known as the Shrimad Devi Bhagvatam, the Devi Bhagavatam, is one of the most important works in Shaktism, What are called spirit and matter in English correspond in some respects to what are called Shiva and Shakti in Sanskrit. The body, being the temple of the Holy Spirit, has accommodation for both Shiva and Shakti. Can one be living in the sin of idolatry if one does not know what it is? Is it unforgivable blasphemy for the Gnostic to believe that Sophia is the Holy Spirit. Is it unforgivable blasphemy to believe the Holy Spirit is female? Is it unforgivable blasphemy to consider the Shekinah a consort to God? Is it unforgivable to consider an angel the Holy Spirit? If we consider Sophia, Shakti, and the Shekinah to be female constructs of understanding the righteous Wisdom of our Eternal Father, would that be blasphemy to His Holy Spirit? Tractate Sanhedrin: Chapter 6 Qalleni meiraushi, qalleni miz'raay Rabbi Meir or Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes (Rabbi Meir the miracle maker) was a Jewish sage who lived in the time of the Mishna. He was considered one of the greatest of the Tannaim of the third generation (139-163). According to the Talmud, his father was a descendant of the Roman Emperor Nero who had converted to Judaism.- 238 replies

Luke_Wilbur replied to Luke_Wilbur's topic in Christianity
The Teaching of the Twelve Apostles Chapter 5 Ezra 4 The Aramaic Targums often substituted the sacred name of God with "the Word." In 1949, Professor Alejandro Diez Macho of the University of Barcelona and a colleague were researching manuscripts of Targum Onqelos in the Vatican Library. When Codex Neophyti 1 was delivered to them, they immediately recognized it was not a text of Onqelos. It was not until 1956, however, that Diez Macho publically announced the discovery of a complete manuscript of a Palestinian Targum. Diez Macho later published an edition of the text, with translations into Spanish, English (by M. McNamara), and French (by R. Le Deaut). This text is now known as Targum Neofiti. Neofiti comprises a complete text of a Palestinian Targum to the Pentateuch. It is composed in Jewish Targumic Aramaic, a sub-dialect of Jewish Palestinian Aramaic and a sister sub-dialect of Galilean Aramaic. It contains a complete text of the five books of the Pentateuch. As a PT, it shares much in common with the other PTs, namely, the Fragment Targums and the fragments of complete targums from the Cairo Geniza. They share the same translation, and evidence, where extant, the same non-translational additions. These common additions are known as the Proto-PT source. This source has undergone important analysis by Paul V. M. Flesher and Beverly P. Mortensen. The translation differs in significant ways from the other Pentateuchal Targums of Targum Onqelos and Targum Pseudo-Jonathan. After the Destruction of the second temple two main Targum traditions developed in Palestine, namely Targum Onqelos, which is a dry, mostly literal translation, and Targum Neofiti, which is, by comparison, more fluid and popular by nature. The fact that both N and TO show links to a common older Targum tradition, supports the theory of theexistence of an earlier Targum rendition. It is feasible that an older version would haveserved as point of reference in the compilation of a standardized Targum for thecontext of the Synagogue liturgy in the post-Destruction period. Neofiti is written in three hands, one scribe identifying himself as Menachem ben Mordechai, physician in Rome. The colophon reads Rome, 1504. We know it was property of Egedio Antonini, of Viterbo (1459-1532), among other things, a cardinal, diplomat for the Vatican, father-general of the Augustinian Order, and Christian Cabalist. He studied with Elias Levita (1469-1549), a major Hebraist and Masoretic scholar of the Renaissance. Levita lived for more than ten years in the cardinal’s palace, teaching him Hebrew and copying Cabalistic mss. for the cardinal’s library. How Egedio Antonini acquired the ms. is not known, but he was an extremely important collector of Hebrew mss. The Targum Neofiti calls God "Firstborn God." Firstborn is Jesus (preeminence, authority), God is Father. Elohim is plural. Genesis 1 Targum Neofiti Tannaim:- 238 replies

The Teaching of the Twelve Apostles Chapter 5 After the Jewish people returned from exile Aramaic gradually replaced Hebrew as the language of choice. Translations had to be made from Hebrew to Aramaic for Jews read and understand the Torah and books of the Prophets. These translations were called Targums. The earliest known Targums are texts found among the Dead Sea Scrolls. One of the striking things these Targums show is that first century Jews had come to understand the phrase "the Word of God" as referring to a divine entity within God Himself, yet distinguishable at times from God. I can imagine Jesus, the "Living Word of God," reading the Torah in Hebrew and giving a precise oral Targum of the meaning of the words He had spoken to the congregation who only understood Aramaic. As a Catholic my parents told me that when they were young the entire Mass was done in Latin except the Homily. I have participated in Byzantine Catholic services where the priest is speaking Greek and the Homily discussing the readings are in English. The only difference is the Targum would not be a service, rather a translation of the Torah. The actual teaching would come at a different time, which at this point I do not know. I like this video, but I disagree that the person giving the Targum would stumble upon his words. That would be an embarrassment. In my opinion, the person giving the Targum would have rehearsed what he was saying many times before speaking it to the congregation. The fact that Targum documents found reveals that people who were to speak them were reciting written words in private before speaking to the congregation. I will start with the Targum Onkelos Targum Onkelos (or Unkelus), which is the official eastern (Babylonian) targum (Aramaic translation) to the Torah. However, its early origins may have been western, in Israel. Its authorship is attributed to Onkelos, written near the time of the fall of the second temple. THE TARGUM OF PALESTINE, COMMONLY ENTITLED THE TARGUM OF JONATHAN BEN UZZIEL, ON THE BOOK OF GENESIS. ________ SECTION I. BERASHITH. Here we see the word "Wisdom." Remember Proverbs Chapter 3 Verse 19. Jonathan ben Uzziel, one of the 80 tannaim who studied under Hillel the Elder, and author of Megadnim (book of kabbalah) wrote that in "Wisdom the Lord Created." From his Targum Genesis and Proverbs now match. Was this learned through Hillel? Here is another passage in Genesis that shows an additional understanding of Hagar's interaction with an angel of God. Genesis 16 When we read the Hebrew and Targum we get introduced for the first time to the Word and Shekinah of Hashem. THE TARGUM OF JONATHAN BEN UZZIEL, ON THE BOOK OF GENESIS. SECTION III. LECH LECHA. Did Uzziel know of Jesus teachings on the "Word of God?" The English word "God" is broken down into three parts; G is the masculine, O the feminine, D the neuter. The Letter O, (ovule, ovum) is egg-shaped and corresponds to Beth in Hebrew. At this point, the Hebrew version of Genesis gives a better connection to Jesus as the Living Word of God that existed before Man. In addition, Uzziel's Jerusalem Targum creates the foundation on how the Gnostics can believe that Sophia (Wisdom) was generated before God's Creation. Further, the Jerusalem Targum could shed some light on why Muslims believe that Gabriel is the Christian Holy Spirit that comes over Mary. Finally, we see the first mention of the Shekinah which would be Hashem's glory that dwelled with Hagar. What do you see in this picture? Or is this a better depiction of Hagar in the presence of the Shekinah? Abraham and Sarah = Israel = Jesus = Christianity Abraham and Hagar = Ishmael = Mohammed = Islam- 238 replies

The Teaching of the Twelve Apostles Chapter 5 After the destruction of Jerusalem and the Second Temple, Rabbi Yochanan ben Zakai and his students founded a new religious center in Yavne on Israel's southern Mediterranean coast, about 15 km south of Tel Aviv. Other places of Judaic learning were founded by Rabbi Yohanan's students in Lod 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) southeast of Tel Aviv in the Center District of Israel; and in Bnei Brak located on Israel's central Mediterranean coastal plain, just east of Tel Aviv, in the Dan metropolitan region and Tel Aviv District. Bnei Brak is a center of Ultra Orthodox Judaism. Once again Shaul Wolf was very kind to answer my question. From what I get is the Torah and the books of the Prophets are filled with personifications and metaphors to help us grasp Holy Scripture. So the idea of the Shekinah being of feminine nature to those of the Jewish Faith would be strictly metaphorical personification of an element of Hashem. It almost seems necessary to have constructs to begin to understand Hashem. I love the idea of Jews looking at other members of their faith has kindred souls generating from Hashem. I believe that all people that share the same values are kindred souls. The material world is based on ethics and sensory appeal. Friendships and physical relationships can be based on life experiences, ethics, and physical appeal. But, when experience becomes routine, ethics of what is right and wrong change, and physical attraction diminishes, then friendships and relationships deteriorate. Now the spiritual world is based on morals and guidelines on how one is to live. If another shares the same belief, then there is still something to share if when there is change. And there is greater tolerance, because deep down both are taught the same principles of what is right and what is wrong. I believe that if your spirit shares similar morals of loving God and your fellow neighbor as mine, then regardless of circumstance we are a true match made in Heaven. I may be wrong, but I think that some members Jewish faith get offended and resent members of the Christian faith (including myself) that have created constructs and metaphors different from their own Jewish teachings. Further some members of Jewish faith may have overheard Christians stating that their own God, Hashem has condemned them to Hell for not believing in Jesus Christ as the Messiah and Son of God. I say to my Jewish brothers that it is blasphemy to judge any soul. Blasphemy is for Hashem alone to decide. I also say to my Christian brothers that may have overheard a member of the Jewish faith state that is idolatry to believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah or Son of God. I say to my Christian brothers it is blasphemy to judge any soul. Jesus was a Jew and That is for God alone to decide. I will next study the Jewish word "Tzimtzum", divine contraction, where Hashem "limits" himself, and makes it capable for the world to experience and understand Him. We must respect our Creator's gift of individual choice to decide on what is right and wrong. We must further distill common morals that our two great faiths believe in. I have come to learn about the Noahide laws that those of the Jewish Faith believe we all should follow. This is why I am am so interested in Chabad.org. I would say that the Noahide laws are a good starting point, but I consider the Golden Rule and the Shema the next logical step to balance understanding. So far in my research I have found the tenants in the Didache, excluding Jesus, are in harmony with both the Jewish and Christian belief systems. Fr. Edward McIlmail, LC of RCSpirituality.org answered my question on whether Hillel's Golden Rule is equal to the Shema. For those of you that do not know the Shema. This passage teaches our acceptance of Divine rule. Deuteronomy Chapter 6 Messianic Jews incorporate Jesus second greatest commandment into the Shema. Leviticus Chapter 19 Love God first and Your neighbor second is the same for Catholics and Jews. I imagine how much stronger our two faiths would become if there is better understanding between us. I pray to Hashem in my way that this may be possible. Here is another bridge between our faiths. One of Judaism most influential Torah scholars Moses Maimonides had a similar concept as the mission of the Holy Spirit. Take a break and listen to a BBC documentary on the famous Jewish philospher Moses Maimondies. I asked RCSpirituality.org is the Christian Holy Spirit the same as the Shekinah? At this point I gather that both Jews and Chrisitans believe the Shekinah is a distinct element of Hashem. The difference is that the Christians believe that the Shekinah does not have a distinct character in its relationship to Hashem, as Christians view the Holy Spirit unique relationship to God. The female aspect of the Shekinah is merely a personification to greater understand Hashem. I asked Father Edward if the serpent of the creation story was a construct to help us better understand what is evil. Father Edward cites Maimonides view that Adam, Eve, and the serpent represent the intellect, the body, and the imagination. I will have to read, "The Guide for the Perplexed." I had to ask the question on whether the Catholic church concurs with the Jewish position of the serpent is a construct? How do you interpret this painting? Does this story originate from imagination? Or did Adam, Eve, the serpent, and the angel really exist?- 238 replies

The Didache (The Teaching) First Christian Catechism

The Teaching of the Twelve Apostles Chapter 5 Idolatry should be an easy subject to cover. But, it is not. I pray to Hashem to Will all His children to forgive, love, and learn from each other. We are nothing without His Mercy. I also pray for guidance on the truth of His Holy Spirit. Here we see that Wisdom and Understanding comes from a female voice. Proverbs 8 Here Solomon juxtaposes Wisdom with Folly. Indeed Solomon was a wise king. Proverbs 9 1 Corinthians 2 I like to think of the Holy Spirit as a conduit to God. Through the power of the Holy Spirit we are able to know Jesus, the Living Word, and obtain Righteous Wisdom on how to glimpse of Hashem's grand design.Love God and His Creation, by following his commands of Mercy, Forgiveness and helping those in need without anyone knowing of your actions. The profane person cannot understand the Wisdom of being holy, but the holy person can understand the the dark depths of the profane. Even a regular church or temple goer cannot fully understand the spiritually Righteous without gaining the Wisdom of the Holy Spirit. And believe me that takes work. I am still struggling against the need of earthly desires. John 14 John 15 Unless the translation above is bad, Jesus clearly states the Holy Spirit comes from Hashem and is masculine, not feminine. Further Hashem gave Jesus, His Living word, everything that He created. Therefore the Holy Spirit is from Jesus as well as Hashem. But, make no misunderstanding that Holy Spirit and Jesus are generated through the power of our Father Hashem as a way of communicating to His Creation. And that the Holy Spirit does not have the authority to communicate to the world on His own. Those that live in Sin will not understand those that receive the Holy Spirit and doubt the that our world is condemned to final judgement. James 1 Take a break and listen to "Holy Spirit You Are Welcome Here," by Kim Walker Smith Rabbi The newly reformed Sanhedrin in Israel states that it was most likely the Sadducee part of the Sanhedrin that illegally put Jesus to death. They also state that Jesus half-brother James was put to death by the Sadducees as well. The newly reformed Sanhedrin quotes Josephus statement that James is the half brother of Jesus. I can conclude that Mary's husband Joseph was a widower with at least one child from his prior marriage. And have more confidence that Jesus was the only son of Mary.- 238 replies

The Teaching of the Twelve Apostles Chapter 5 The Shekinah enters Solomon's Temple to Hashem. 2 Chronicles 6 Here Josephus states when the Shekinah left the Temple. Flavius Josephus: The Wars Of The Jews Or The History Of The Destruction Of Jerusalem Book VI CONTAINING THE INTERVAL OF ABOUT ONE MONTH. FROM THE GREAT EXTREMITY TO WHICH THE JEWS WERE REDUCED TO THE TAKING OF JERUSALEM BY TITUS. CHAPTER 5 Where did the Shekinah go when it left Hashem's temple before its destruction? Saint Paul clearly explains the Holy Spirit's new ministry.. 2 Corinthians 2 Acts 13 CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH PART ONE THE PROFESSION OF FAITH SECTION TWO THE PROFESSION OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH CHAPTER THREE I BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT ARTICLE 8 "I BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT" I am still trying to sort out the view of the Holy Spirit. I now understand that Kabbalistic Jews and Gnostics believe that the Holy Spirit is a distinct element of God. This is similar to the Christian beliefs. But, where the paths diverge is the concept of the Holy Spirit being a female consort of God. Therefore, say the Kabbalists, "the Christian Trinity properly translated should be Father, Son and Mother." According to Reverend Mark Raines Shekhina is Mary. Here is the Catholic Church's view on Mary and the Holy Spirit. Marialis Cultus Apostolic Exhortation OF HIS HOLINESS PAUL PP. VI TO ALL THE BISHOPS WITH PEACE AND COMMUNION WITH THE APOSTOLIC Venerable Brethren Health and Apostolic Benediction Understanding that the Shekinah is the Glory and creative force of our Father Hashem. And understanding that the Shekinah is a distinct element of our Father Hashem. I can conclude the Shekinah is the Christian Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost). Further understanding the Shekinah Glory dwells within Mary, a humble devout disciple of Hashem and her son our Lord. This dwelling would be similar to Shekinah dwelling in the Ark of the Covenant. And further that the Shekinah is attached to and Glorifies the First Son, our Lord Jesus Christ who sits at the Right Hand of our Father Hashem. Further understanding the mission of the Holy Spirit is to Glorify Hashem and the Word Made Flesh. And understanding the Living Word is Hashem's New Covenant to mankind. I can deduce that Mary is Hashem's eternal living Ark. And Jesus is Hashem's eternal living Covenant. Both are glorified by Hashem's Shekinah and shared by grace to all people living on earth. A verbal one command covenant given to Adam and Eve by Hashem. Our Father's condemned angel convinced the two to put our Father to the test and disobey his one command. Adam and Eve were cast out of Paradise and for their sin they were cursed with mortality, but given the gift understanding of right and wrong from the tree of knowledge. A verbal seven command covenant given to Noah by Hashem. The covenant was witnessed by Noah's family and is eternally binding by a rainbow that can be seen by all People of the World. A verbal covenant given to Abraham by Hashem. The covenant was witnessed by Abraham's family and is eternally binding to all His circumcised descendants. The covenant given to Moses was written in stone by the Hand of Hashem and housed in the Ark at the command of Hashem and glorified by His Shekinah. This covenant given to Moses was witnessed by the Israelite community and is eternally binding. The new living covenant was conceived through Mary at the command of Hashem and glorified by His Shekinah. This covenant conceived through Mary was witnessed by both the Israelite and Gentile community and is eternally binding. The covenant given to Moses promises a long prosperous life to those that followed the commands of Hashem. The Living Covenant conceived through Mary promises eternal life if you follow the commands of Hashem given to His Word made flesh, which is our Lord Jesus Christ. Mary's sinless devotion to our Father Hashem, made her worth of being a Holy Sanctuary of the Shekinah to conceive Living Word into mortal flesh. The sinless devotion of the Living Word, our Lord Jesus Christ not only gave testimony to the Commands by our Father Hashem, He practiced what He preached to all that would listen. The Living Word was put to the test by Hashem's once glorious angel corrupted by the Sin of Pride to follow his craft. The Living Word was conceived and baptized through the power of Hashem's Shekinah, thus like Hashem, our Righteous Lord Jesus could not be put to the test and rebuked the evil one to leave him. Thus by using the Shekinah we can ask Jesus to help us rebuke the power of sin within our lives. For the Living Word and the Shekinah are gifts from Hashem and worthy of our Praise. If we understand that intercession is a pleading Mercy of one before Hashem and His visible Living Word, then through the Glory of the Holy Spirit one may request Mary to intercede on their behalf. This does not mean that Mary should replace or come before Jesus in your request. For we can communicate our message through the Shekinah straight to Jesus alone to intercede for Mercy before Hashem. For our Father knows all. I believe that my reasoning is not idolatry. I am open to anyone that finds error in it. I am still not sure about the idea of the Holy Spirit being a feminine aspect of God. I do understand how people can believe the Shekinah is female. But, I worry this way of thinking is not only idolatry, but is the unforgivable blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. I understand that Asherah is identified with the dove and Tree of Life. But, is forbidden by Hashem to worship. It appears that archeologist and historians are taking the Gnostic belief of the connection the Canaanite Goddess Asherah as the female consort of Hashem. Further, the name Asherah is replaced with the Virgin Mary. I am beginning to understand how the Koran took a harsh stance on Mary being part of the Trinity. At some point in history the Blessed Mother Mary became confused as being the Shekinah (Holy Spirit, Holy Ghost). Further she became connected with Asherah and Sophia as well. See the full episode at http://video.pbs.org/video/1051895565 In this excerpt from NOVAs two-hour special, The Bible's Buried Secrets, archeologist William Dever describes evidence that the ancient Israelite God, YHWH, had a female counterpart. Kuntillet Ajrud is a late 9th/early 8th centuries BC archeological site in the northeast part of the Sinai peninsula. The building on this site is considered to be a possible shrine. An image on the piece of pottery (belonging to a pithos vase) found at Kuntillet Ajrud is adjacent to a Hebrew inscription "Berakhti etkhem l’YHVH Shomron ul’Asherato" ("I have blessed you by Yahweh of Samaria and [his] Asherah"). A dove and two bird-like female figures perch atop this Iron Age house shrine to symbolize Asherah and her counterparts Astarte and Tanit. There is a difference between the Holy Spirit that I know and Asherah. I understand that the Holy Spirit is associated with Wisdom. Does proverbs justify the thinking that the Holy Spirit (Shekinah or Sophia) is female? Or is the idea of Wisdom being a female really a metaphor like affectionately referring a to ship as a lady. Proverbs 3 Is the Kabbalistic and Gnostic Shekinah the Goddess Asherah? Or is she the Babylon, Great Prostitute referred to in the Book of Revelation. Revelation 17 There is the difference between the Holy Spirit and Inanna- 238 replies

The Teaching of the Twelve Apostles Chapter 5 Babylonian Talmud: Tractate Shabbath Folio 33a I asked Shaul Wolf why is the Shechinah considered female? When I read the Torah and Talmud the Shechinah seems very male. Here is his response: The Tzimtzum is a term used in the Lurianic Kabbalah teaching of Isaac Luria, to explain his new doctrine that God began the process of creation by "contracting" his infinite light in order to allow for a "conceptual space" in which finite and seemingly independent realms could exist. In Chabad Hassidism, on the other hand, the concept of Tzimtzum is understood as not meant to be interpreted literally, but rather to refer to the manner in which God impresses His presence upon the consciousness of finite reality: thus tzimtzum is not only seen as being a real process but is also seen as a doctrine that every person is able, and indeed required, to understand and meditate upon. Mark Siet wrote an article, "Shechinah - the connecting link" on the pathway God connects to His creation. Mark Siet wrote another article, "Shechinah the unity above" that further defines the Hasidic view of the Holy Spirit. Beri'ah, Briyah, or Briah (also known as Olam Briah, עולם בריאה in Hebrew, literally World of Creation), is the second of the four celestial worlds in the Tree of Life of the Kabbalah, intermediate between the World of Emanation (Atziluth) and the World of Formation (Yetzirah), the third world, that of the angels. It is known as the World of Creation, or Korsia (from Heb. כּוּרסָה - "seat, chair", the Throne). Rabbi Nehunya ben HaKanah was a tanna (rabbinic sage) of the 1st and 2nd centuries. It appears from Bava Batra 10b that Neḥunya was a contemporary, but not a pupil, of Johanan ben Zakai. He was the teacher of Ishmael ben Elisha. Neḥunya was rich and had a large retinue of servants; but he was distinguished for his meekness and forgiving nature, to which he attributed his attainment of great age (Megillah 28a); two short prayers composed by him exhibit the same qualities (Berakhot iv. 2; Jerusalem Talmud Berakhot iv. 2). Sefer ha-Bahir - "The Book of Illumination" The Seven Voices and the Sephiroth Neḥunya was credited for the mystic writing "Book of Illumination (Book of Brightness)", because it begins with the words, "R. Nehunya ben HaKanah said". The Book of Illumination is also known as Midrash of Rabbi Nehunya ben HaKanah. The "Book of Illumination later became known as the Kabbalah. The diagram is the Jewish Kabbalist Sephirot, in simplistic terms is similar to the Christian to the three aspects of God in the Trinity. The Sephirot has ten aspects of God. Notice the Shekinah is at the base of the Sephirot. Joshua ben Hananiah was a leading Jewish Rabbi of the first half-century following the destruction of the Temple. He proved the resurrection through the following verse: Rabban Shimon bar Yochai (Rashbi) was a famous 1st-century tannaic sage in ancient Israel, active after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 CE. He is attributed with the authorship of the Zohar, the chief work of Kabbalah. He also was quoted on the Deuteronomy 31:16 passage. Afterlife and the World to Come R. Ishmael When I was young I had several death and resurrection dreams. One that stands out was my car slipping on ice over the Cabin John bridge into the Potomac River. Then somehow I ended up in my parents front door soaked. I knocked on the door and remember the shock they both had seeing me. My mother told me I was dead. My father asked me why I was pretending to be their son. Then I told them stories that they only would know. The oddest part of the dream was the feeling that I did not feel welcome at my parent's house anymore. That was never the case. My parents loved me unconditionally. I do not know why the dream transpired. But, maybe it was anxiety I was having knowing I was leaving to travel around the world. The reason why I bring this up is wondering if many of us have been sharing similar dreams of dying and resurrection since the beginning of man.- 238 replies

The Teaching of the Twelve Apostles Chapter 5 Daniel 2 Was it right or wrong for King Nebuchadnezzar to bow down with his face to the ground and pay homage to Daniel? Was it right or wrong for King Nebuchadnezzar to give orders to offer sacrifice and incense to Daniel? Should a man who speaks the word of the God be honored as the Lord? Judaism strongly prohibits any form of idolatry, and holds that idolatry is not limited to the worship of a statue or picture itself, but also includes worship of the Almighty Himself with the use of mediators and/or any artistic representations of God such as "Jesus on the Cross". According to this understanding, even if one directs his worship to the Almighty Himself and not to a statue, picture, or some other created thing, but yet he uses a created thing as a representation of the Almighty in order to assist in his worship of the Almighty, this is also considered a form of idolatry. There was Hillel and Shammai, then there was Rashi and the Ravad. I will investigate these schools and their beliefs in Jesus and idolatry. The Torah states that there is only one Hashem that cannot die. Both Christians and the Jews believe in the Torah. Deuteronomy 32 Christians believe Jesus is Hashem. Jews do not believe Jesus is Hashem. Christians believe Jesus died for our sins. Jews believe that Jesus was guilty of idolatry stating he is Hashem. Jews believe that Christians are in great sin believing that Jesus Christ is Hashem. Galatians 3 Jesus took Hashem's curse of sin upon himself by being hung on a cross, so that we have the opportunity to redeem ourselves and share Hashem's blessing on Abraham's descendants and the promise of the Holy Spirit. The Teaching of the Twelve Apostles Chapter 5 I thought it important to include Chapter 4 in the discussion of idolatry. Jews and Arabs consider it blasphemy to consider Jesus Christ divine. They consider it a sin that Christians honor and revere Jesus Christ as a god. The Teaching of the Apostles Chapter 4 Exodus 3 God; gods. The plural form of El, meaning “Strong One.” The Name Elohim occurs 2,570 times in the Tanakh. See Isa. 54:5; Jer. 32:27; Gen. 1:1; Isa. 45:18; Deut. 5:23; etc. Exodus 7 - KJV Exodus 7 - Interlinear Pentateuch Just as Hashem made Moses a god to pharoah, Hashem made Jesus a god among men. 2 Peter 1 Matthew 16 Matthew 17 I AM is what bothered the Sanhedrin Matthew 26 Babylonian Talmud: Tractate Sanhedrin Sanhedrin 93b- 238 replies
