  1. This is my latest response from Lori Anne Wardi.
  2. I think the hiring of all the census workers was a joke. My friend had six census takers come to his home. What is the purpose of mailing a census form? While there is has been some private sector job growth, the census workers were a total waste of taxpayer money. I would like to know how much they cost.
  3. cointernet.co is an internet registry company representing the country of Columbia .co domain name. They are trying re-brand a country domain name into a commercial domain similar to .com
  4. This is the response I just received. I do not understand this
  5. Is the Perfect Citizen Program an intrusion by the NSA into domestic affairs or an important program to combat an emerging security threat that only the NSA is equipped to provide?
  6. The AP is reporting 23,500 oil wells have been permanently abandoned. Another 3,500 are classified by federal regulators as "temporarily abandoned," but some have been left that way since the 1950s, without the full safeguards of permanent abandonment. Read the Story http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5gz8SP1X8Y6bOR5kwCcuxUdV1XwLgD9GQFVLG4
  7. This was just sent to me. Tiny dots are being found everywhere. Black (Oil Dispersant) Rain coming from the Gulf. Rep. Nadler is calling it similar to Agent Orange. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEP3UIRnM38
  8. .CO Internet S.A.S is launching the new .CO domain name marketed to rival the .COM domain name. http://www.cointernet.co is withholding : Christmas.co Gift.co And other single word premium domain names? Is SEDO planning to bid them out at a later date? I use SEDO and got no communication about this. What happens to those individuals who are prepaying the $275.00 for a chance to get these premium domain names? I see nothing on the web site that explains this. Do you think this is fair for small businesses trying to get a chance at a good domain name? I personally think this gives an unfair competitive advantage to those organizations that you decide to invite.
  9. The White House has threatened to veto a pending intelligence bill if it includes a provision that would authorize the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to perform audits of intelligence programs at the request of Congress. Do you think Congress has the Constitutional Right to audit the Executive Branch when it comes to National Security?
  10. I would not invest in BP yet. They have an oil leak in the Gulf and a oil spill in Alaska to fix first. Until that is resolved investor confidence in the company is tanking.
  11. I do miss watching the fireworks in DC. They are the greatest.
  12. That is sound advice. Interest rates are getting higher. You do not want to wind up in massive debt. Do a business plan, marketing plan, cost analysis spread sheet, and talk to your local SBA for advice. There are many retired executives that want to help you for FREE.
  13. Ok I found it. RRT VI IN-SITU BURN PLAN This may answer my question. isb_plan_part1_operations.pdf isb_plan_part2_information.pdf I still wonder why NOAA did not know about it?
  14. Happy Fourth Everyone. Actually, the story originates from a May 27, New York Post article.
  15. Luckily I do not think we will have to go nuclear or any other drastic option. I am getting pretty optimistic that well will be closed fairly soon. I also confronted NOAA about the following statement sent to me: Rachel Wilhelm, of NOAA stated, I am trying to find the source this information. It would be a major news story if it is true.
  16. I sent a question to NOAA media representative, Rachel Wilhelm, yesterday. Rachel responded with the following:
  17. A friend of mine stated I went to the Elastec/American Marine web site. The company made a statement about their part in oil spill cleanup efforts: That still did not answer the question of why the government did not burn everything. I do know FEMA is supporting the operation by providing personnel to the National Integration Center and additional Logistics and External Affairs support to the Federal On-Scene Coordinator. FEMA is also leading the Social Services and Small Business Interagency Working Group (Claims and Benefits). Any help with answers would be appreciated.
  18. llinois-based Nalco Holding Company NYSE: NLC (formerly Ondeo Nalco) is responsible for the Corexit 9500 which is an oil dispersant and is widely being used in the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The Blackstone Group, Apollo Management L. P. and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners have large financial ties to Nalco. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orjr233TRVw Nalco Company Corporate Headquarters 1601 W. 19. I hope this is true. But, we will have to wait in see.
  20. I hope the Gulf disaster will make us think more about what is happening to our Chesapeake Bay. Half of it is dead from toxic chemicals and fertilizer. I can only think how the Environmental movement began from the fire on Cuyahoga River. The EPA and NOAA were born from it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SKGIwsXuA0
  21. I just got this message from a top SEO expert.
  22. From what I read, General McChrystal reminds me of the late Great General Patton. Both men are heroic mavericks that just did not know when to shut up. I wonder though. Should we have a little more tolerance for these rare men who have mastered the art of battle and comradeship. I wonder if the media should be allowed to weigh down war effort. Then again the Freedom of Speech is what makes our Country great. General McChrystal will be missed, but the war goes on. Pundits should lay this issue to rest. There are many battles ahead. General Patraeus needs all the support he can get from us. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85zrgHPmn5A
  23. I know this is wishful thinking. But, this travesty should be far past Democrats vs. Republicans. I read the news. We spur with ideas. And..... No one listens to them. BP does not respond. They post information well. They even come to Congressional meetings. They hold a stiff upper lift and listen to the frustrations we all are having. BP has no vision. If I were in charge of BP right now. I would go beyond stating "We will compensate." As we are waiting the company should revise their entire mission statement. We will put the safety of our crew first. We will drill one well head without complete assurance that this catastrophe will never be repeated again. We will work on restoring the environment and economy of the region we have damaged better than it was before. Our company will be earth friendly and a profitable investment opportunity. If I was the President I would move the Executive Offices to the Gulf. BP office should be right next door. Security can be handled by the secret service and the British government. If the British don't want us to doggess a them and the consider BP a national treasure, then why not offer all their services to get this recovered. One thing please do not do... DO NOT TAX US FOR THE MISTAKE OF BP. My boy wants me to play with him. So I am gone.
  24. What should be noted is the rate increase of government jobs over manufacturing jobs throughout the United States. The government will go broke if it loses its tax base. We cannot just be merchants either. People need to start making things that hold value. Durable goods should really be durable. They should be built to last. We need to start engineering a new model based sustainability. Software and hardware is now built to last three years. We need to construct products that will stand the test of time and environmentally degrade when we want it to. We have to start moving obstacles. Government and too big to fail businesses need to assist the community more. Not just with pamphlets and stop doing drugs commercials. Now I have tried calling Appalachian Power numerous times about processing spent coal ash into cement. I tell them each time that I want to use it as mortar for my cabin. The only assumption I take is that they either know it cannot be processed safely or they just are reluctant to try. Turning spent coal ash that is currently considered a BIO HAZARD into a useful cement product would be wonderful for our atmosphere. Ever wondered why the Roman buildings are still standing. Moist lime and volcanic ash (calcium silicate hydrate) is how they made their cement. One part ash to five parts moist lime. I am trying to use fly ash. I need to decide what I am going to use for my aggregate. Currently thinking clay and pigs hair? Then I need to consider my water to cement and aggregate ratio. I am going to contact my local USDA representative for help on this. This is what happens when you work at a farm. You have time to dream. I just need the support by the entire community. Not just with money, but with cooperative ideas and sharing of materials and lending a hand from time to time is not bad.
