Hi Valencia and Sophia, Valencia - I noticed that you questioned the base ingredient in the fusion system Sophia uses. Is there a system that doesn't require special products? Or should I say - is there a fusion system that you can use oil-based products with? If so, what is the base ingredient? I have always wanted to get fusion, and I've even taken a class on it, but I figured that because I have dry hair, fusion would not be right for me. Any help or advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Sophia - what are the special products needed with the system you use? Also, to reiterate Valencia's question, what is the base ingredient and can you use oil-based products or do they have to be oil-free? Thanks for posting. I to have dry hair so I can't use anything that will not allow me to use oil such as polywax, keratin protein fusion bond is one of the best on the market today, I have used it for years and found that I can concentrate on my specific hair care needs without worry and the effect the products have on my fusion bonds, with all do respect to my colleague I was just curious. But I must say Hair Diva you are doing the right thing asking questions and I encourage everyone to do the same, PLEASE do a consultaion before having the service done, ask to see samples of the bond used (not just pictures) and ask for a removal demostration making sure removal is easy and not damaging........... Thank You Valencia

Fusion Specialist, I'll be driving to VA from NC to find an excellent Hair weaving salon Whats the best way to know where to go I had fusion done in the past i believe with someone inexperianced and you could see the glue. How far can the fusion come to the front of your hair line? What prices am i looking at as well as how long does it last. I also wanted to know is this product good for someone with medically damage hair. and if not can you recommend another solution and salon in VA. (medication has thin and some what bald spots ) via email sriley40@bellsouth.net Hello Riley, There are a few things to take in considration, I will leave you my email at the bottom of this post, I need you to email a contact number I have a few questions and I don't want you to publish your personal business, I don't mind paying for the call. I have several clients on medication that cause the hair to thin some we can work around, as far as the fusion bonds showing, your extentionist didn't leave enough hair to cover, women with thin edges need the fusion bonds smaller and the bonds need to be placed far enough from the hairline to avoid detection. When I first started to wear fusion my hairstyle choices where very limited because my hair was very thin, I couldn't wear straight hair I wore curly for volume, now that my hair is healthy and not as thin I am able to wear straight hair and loving it. Fusion should be left in the hair no more than four months before total removal, fusion touch-up's should be done no less than every two months, once a month for optimal results but keep in mind this is a basic analysis ladies indiviual results may vary, for instance I never leave my fusion in for more than three months (my hair grows fast). As for price, that to varies that is why you should do a consultation before getting the system so there are no suprises. I hope this helps........... My email link below hairbyvalencia@yahoo.com Thank You for your response Valencia

You need hands on training before performing advanced extension services, there is just too much that could go wrong, without proper training you could make a bad situation worse............. Thank You for your response Valencia

Terri, We need you to be a little more specific do you mean coarse/kinky or coarse/resistant with all do respect to my colleague asian hair tends to be coarse/resistant but too slick and straight for most of us (african american and caucasian women) and it looks like a wig. Great Lengths has the BEST tutorial on the best type of hair to use for extensions, they even have a demonstration on how asian hair reacts after time. Click link below and click our hair on their website...........Janet Remy has given so many women problems that my distributer no longer deal with it, Outre' Remy is wonderful and if you are a sew in client you can reuse it (it will not tangle) it will not last forever but if you can get two sew in sessions from it, you will save on hair cost. GREAT LENGTHS WEBSITE Thank You Valencia

Quick question....What kind of fusion bond do you use (base ingredient NOT BRAND) that require special maintanace products?.........just curious. Also thank you for posting I stay EXTREMELY busy as well but I find time at night to take care of these ladies and answer their questions, it is a great way to unwind and give back.........and I could use the help There is a post by Navy Wife looking for someone that does house calls, I toured the country for six years and no longer travel, I'm happy to see someone offering that service. I also have out of state clients, how far are you willing to travel? I would love to save them either time or airfare if I can....... Valencia

Ladies, The Outre' Velvet Remi can be found all over the DC/Maryland area, I purchase mine at Beauty Discount in Laurel, located in a strip mall beside the Laurel Mall beside the Giant............The quality is great and it will not break your pocket, Sophia since you are certified they will give you a discount and even better since I bring them so much business they give my clients my discount I need to be present of course, but I offer that service. The only hair that I would EVER have shipped to me is the Indian Remi from Lugo's in New York I'd rather send them a picture and hair sample to do a custom blend.....THAT IS WORTH THE EXPENSE AND SHIPPING COST......If I am going to spend $100. plus for hair it better be custom, I only do that once a year for my birthday........... I'm sorry but I would not recommend that Valencia

I allways tell my clients to purchase at least two packs of hair just to be on the safe side (for fusion) I have a small head as well and my hair is fine but I still use about 1&1/4 packs and I just save the rest for touch-up's. Thank You for your response Valencia

This looks and sounds great, I may try it someday.........But I also want to recommend the OUTRE' VELVET REMI Hair, I started using this brand when I decided to go straight and I have yet to be disappointed, my natural hair is very fine and I don't put heat or tension on my hair, with the Outre' Velvet Remi I wash my hair let it air dry, once it dries I dampen and roll if I want to set it, or just put gel on my hairline and tie it up for about 10min to wear it straight, this hair dries naturally without frizz or tangle so I'm sure it is beautiful with a wet set or blow-dry & curl. If you look back at my earlier posts you will see that I wore my hair curly for many years, that is because I like to wash and go but now that I have found decent Remi straight hair I can still wash and go and loving it...... I also have a client who loves this product, check out my online gallery I have the Velvet Remi labeled..........Please note that the hair texture is a perfect match for most african american women, it is not too slick, it has the texture of a fresh relaxer. For those who decide to give it a try PLEASE come back and leave feedback.... MY ONLINE PHOTO GALLERY Thank You Valencia

With this technique, do I need to have a lot of hair of my own? I typically wear it short but I've recently tried the lace front closure, which took a bit of my hair out. Would you recommend this method for someone like me? My temples are really thinning. How healthy is this method for my hair? Will it take my hair out? Can the additions be done as small as micro braids? thanks. Hello Rein, I really need to see your hair in order to answer your questions with accuracy. I will gladly give you a complimentary consultation and analysis by email, just send me a few pictures of your hair via e-mail. I also have a few questions for you. What is causing your hair to thin? I need to know if your hair damaged? You can answer via email: hairbyvalencia@yahoo.com I will respond by email Thank You for your response Valencia

Hi I'm a real hair processor. I own a company here in the US and a manufacturing unit in India. It seems like my hair will be too expensive for you but I may be help you with the hair extensions tools. Go to my web site at: www.haircompounds.com and let me what you like there. Then I will try to give you better prices than on my web. Anyway; I have Lowest Price Guarantee policy on the tools so you can not go wrong. Isaac Hello Issac, The first rule of good customer service: Never assume, you have no idea how much money an indiviual makes or what they can afford, I'm sure you didn't mean to offend anyone (since you are trying to sell them products) but it is always better to let the consumer decide what they can and cannot afford. One more thing, I did take a look at your website and the extension iron that you are selling for $75.00 I have the exact peice of equipment (Love It by the way) but I payed 64.95 for it. I promise it is the exact same. As far as I'm concerned, you are the merchant, it is your responsibility to research and offer competitive pricing and then we can negotiate, why would I want to negotiate an over inflated price down to a competitive price that is not doing any of us any favors. Any merchant that solicits on my thread BEWARE I WILL check you out Sorry but I feel the need to keep my people informed Valencia

Intra-weave is a pre-made system the base is constructed with material that replicates the skin, and the base within the system is constructed with netting material, hair is attached strand by strand to the netting and attached to your hair using combs or the base can be sewn in to make it more permanent, your hair is then pulled through the net and blended............. Fusion- Tiny sections of hair is attached directly to your hair using a protein based bond. Your hair is blended between rows and when properly done this system is virtually undetectable. I charge much less than $5000. and I am in the Laurel, Maryland area. hairbyvalencia@yahoo.com Online Photo Gallery hairbyvalencia.com I stay pretty booked by I will make room for you............. WE LOVE OUR TROOPS Valencia

Hello Kristin, Try roller sets and deep conditioners like Hair Mayonaise by Organic that is a wonderful product............ and don't forget the setting lotion...........Hold the hair by the roots when combing, and always keep the hair MOISTURIZED, I'm sure if you look at the bonds that fell out the hair connected is dry. Brushing the hair is a good thing and should not cause the bonds to fall out unless you are using the wrong brush, make sure you are using a natural bristle brush, I use boar's hair, using the wrong brush can also damage your hair and the fusion bonds. It also makes me nervous that your hair is fragile, fine and soft is ok, my hair is fine and soft but healthy, I deep condition at least every two weeks and ALWAYS keep my hair moisturized. Thank You Valencia

You know, that is a suprise to me because you are not the first person that has experianced that with the Janet Remy hair as a matter of fact the supply store that I shop has stop selling it, I'm thinking you and others just got a bad batch, it is human hair so nine times out of ten it doesn't come from the same person, but it is unfortuante that there is no way to know until you wash it, I have been in this business for YEARS and I have purchased a bad batch once or twice, I use OUTRE Velvet Remy and I have yet to be disappointed, but who knows what the future holds............. Try to set it using a straightening lotion. Thank You Valencia

All the best distributers require certification through their respective companies in order to order or use their products. They know if they train you, you will use their product as instructed and they can maintain their good name and reputation. There are several but the absolute best in the world has to be Great Lengths. Thank You for your response Valencia

Hello Charlene, Unless the hair is growing from your scalp there has to be a point of attachment, the fusion bonds are tiny but of course you can feel them if you touch the scalp, they are undetectable because you can't SEE them. Please don't go into this with unrealistic expectations. Thank you for your response Valencia

No problem Maharri, Just email me at hairbyvalencia@yahoo.com leave me your contact information and I will gladly accommodate you. Thank you for your response Valencia

I probably would have waited until your hair was more healthy, I would recommend hair building products, and most important keep the hair moisturized, dryness is the main cause of breakage. Hair mayonaise by organic is a great deep conditoner, you really need to be VERY careful since your hair is fragile, hold the hair by the roots when combing out tangles to prevent breakage, and try to use a detangling shampoo and leave in conditioner, hair polisher by IC is great for daily moisture and dryness, and MOST important if you decide to use the system in the future invest in GOOD hair it is worth it make sure it is remy/remi hair that is the best, more expensive but it will not tangle. Thank You Valencia
