  1. All about souls The individual soul (Jeeva) is a bundle of various qualities, which are different proportions of the three basic qualities called as Sattvam, Rajas and Tamas (Nanyam Gunebhyah…Gita). The material of these qualities is awareness or nervous energy called as Chit and this material is known as soul (Atman), which is beyond these qualities (Nirgunam) and the same is stated in Gita (Gunebhyascha param….). The individual soul is always contains the basic material and hence can be called as Jeevatman, which is like calling water-waves. The awareness is a special work form of inert energy and this inert energy is produced by the oxidation of food. This inert energy on functioning in the nervous system becomes the awareness. When the nervous system takes rest as in deep sleep, the awareness is not generated in the deep sleep. In the state of dream, the awareness is generated and the qualities play as the dream. In the awakened state, the awareness is generated, which contains the qualities but the awareness is in interaction with the external world. In the state of perfect meditation, the awareness is generated but the qualities are subsided temporarily. All the qualities constitute the plane of mind (Manomaya Kosha). These qualities may be strong or weak. The strong qualities constitute the eternal Jeeva (Ajo nityah..Gita). This Jeeva leaves the gross body in the death (Manomayah Prana Sharira Neta…Veda, Utkramantam…Gita) and the individuality of the Jeeva is maintained which is eternal. This Jeeva undergoes the enjoyment of its good and bad fruits. The individuality of each and every soul is thus protected and maintained in this divine system of creation. However, the weak qualities disappear after some time, which do not materialize into actions. Thus, the weak part of Jeeva or mind is not eternal and disappears every day after the deep sleep (Manastejasi… Veda, Natvam vettha..Gita). Gita refers to this weak part when it says that Jeeva is born and dead every day (Atha Chainam Nitya Jatam…). Thus, Jeeva is eternal as well as non-eternal in view of the qualities, which are strong and weak respectively. In the deep sleep all the qualities exist as impressions in the plane of inert energy. Mind is the plane of qualities, which vary, and intelligence is the plane of qualities, which are fixed due to decisions. The impression of individuality (Ahamkara) is also a quality only. In deep sleep the mind, intelligence and individuality exist as impressions on a cassette even though the current is absent and hence mind, intelligence and the individuality are categorized under the inert nature only (Mano Buddhirevacha Ahamkara Itiyam…Gita). The awareness-current is called as Paraprakruti, which is the Chit or Chittam. The awareness is transformed in to basic inert energy in deep sleep and thus it is not eternal. Even the qualities are not really eternal because the Advaita Philosopher attains the complete destruction of qualities in the state of Avadhuta (Manolaya Yoga). The Avadhuta after death dissolves here itself completely and the individuality of the soul is forever destroyed. His awareness is transformed into inert energy and thus such a soul is dissolved here itself (Ihaiva Pranah …Veda). In the case of an ordinary soul, all the weak qualities and the awareness are converted in to inert energy in the body and finally the individual inert energy merges in the general cosmic energy (Tejassati…Veda). However, the individual soul and the awareness existing within the individual soul as the material is not destroyed, which leaves the gross body to the upper world. But in the case of Avadhuta, the individual soul is also destroyed because even the strong qualities are destroyed and the awareness existing in the individual soul is also transformed into inert energy, which merges with the cosmic energy. The Advaita Philosopher claims such complete destruction of the individual soul as the complete salvation and this is the climax of foolishness! Burning the house containing the rats is the final solution of Advaita Philosopher! He removes misery of the soul by destroying the soul completely and forever! The solution is to capture the rats with the help of a cage and live in the house with happiness and enjoyment. The Advaita Philosopher praises the primary state of God or Brahman before creation (Nirguna Brahman) and such state of God was without any entertainment, which was neither praised by Veda nor appreciated by God (Ekaki Naramate..Veda). The advanced state of God is association of God with His own creation containing both happiness and misery like sweet and hot in the meals. If the meals contain only sweet, one gets bored. The hot dish is created to remove such boring and therefore you should like the hot dish also. You do not like the hot dish (Misery) and you are bored with continuous sweet dish (Happiness). The solution of Advaita Philosopher in this case is to fast by avoiding the meals completely! The real solution is to enjoy both happiness and misery like God. God created both happiness and misery to have real and continuous entertainment. If you are trying to avoid the misery, you are criticizing God for His activity of this creation, which contains both happiness and misery.
  2. Human Body- Soul- Feelings The human body means the outer most gross body made of five elements, which is common to all the human beings including the human incarnation. The internal soul is made of pure awareness, which is also same because it is a special work form of energy. Only the qualities which are the various forms (feelings) of the soul differ in the human beings. This bundle of strong qualities is called as the subtle body, which is in between the soul, and gross body. Even this subtle body is made of the three fundamental qualities and the feelings differ only in the various proportions of these three qualities. The human being is a composite of gross, subtle and causal (Soul) bodies. In the human incarnation, God exist as the extra fourth item, who is beyond the above three bodies. 3. I will slightly explain more on this so that you may understand the concepts more clearly The first creation that came from God is space or inert energy. Akasa (space) and Tejas (inert energy) are one and the same because space is a form of inert energy only. Matter, work, light, heat, sound, electricity, magnetism and awareness are also other forms of inert energy. Our imagination cannot cross the limits of space. The link or process of production between God and space is also unimaginable like God. This link is beyond space and God is beyond this link. The space is called as Mahat. The link is called as Avyaktam which means unimaginable. The Parabrahman is mentioned as purusha. The Veda says that Avyaktam is beyond space and purusha is beyond Avyaktam (Mahatah paramavyaktam avyaktat purushah parah). God is first. Space is second. Air is third. We can explain the generation of third from second, but not the second from first. Second and third are imaginable items. Space or energy became air. Air means atoms. This is energy condensing into matter. This process of condensation is explicable and debatable. This process is parinama or vivarta. If matter is different from energy only by quantitative way it is vivarta like water condensed to ice. Vivarta brings only physical difference. The parinama is qualitative difference like milk becoming curd. Before the creation of matter, only energy exists. If energy is condensed, it should be vivarta process only, which is physical. But if all the mater is energy only, how the qualitative difference came between items of matter? There cannot be qualitative difference between blocks of ice having various sizes. One block of ice may be more concentrated (or condensed) but it cannot bring a qualitative difference. But the qualitative difference between the milk and curd is practically experienced in the world. Milk and curd are also condensed products of same energy and may have quantitative difference. Thus this point of contradiction brings the unimaginability, which is the characteristic of God. Therefore, the presence of the unimaginable power of God (Maya) is everywhere in the world. The Gita says that this Prakruti is also Maya (Mayam tu prakrutim). Thus the entire world is affected by the hidden power of God (Maya), which is known by deep analysis. When the energy and work are essentially same, the different quantities of energy-drops (electrons) giving rise to different properties mean different works of God giving rise to different properties. Here the wonder is that the working material and work are one and the same in essence. Therefore, the unimaginable God does wonderful works and His work it self is the working material. The work is power of God, which it self is the working material. All this creation is work without any separate working material because the working material itself is a form of work. According to science also, any material (matter) is a form of energy and work is also a form of the same energy. Thus, this wonder exists in science, which says that matter is a condensed form energy. For the process of condensation, space is required and the space should be different from energy for the process of condensation to take place. But space is a form of energy as per the special theory of relativity. In such case, how the energy is condensed? Because, space is also energy. This is another wonder. Like this, when this nature (Prakruti) is analyzed, it is a wonder (Maya) only as said in Gita (Mayam tu..). Thus, Maya becomes the inner substratum of the world. God is the substratum of Maya (Mayinam tu…Gita). Thus, God is the final substratum of this world. The generation of matter on condensation of energy and the transformation of matter in to energy by dilution are wonders in the context of space being the energy. Thus, the generation, maintenance on substratum and dissolution are works of Maya, which mean wonders of God. Such wonder is for souls only and is well known to God and therefore it is not a wonder to God. Thus, Maya is a logic or science for God, just like the nature is a logical science to the souls. It is only higher logic or super science of God which is above the level of souls.
  4. Soul is not energy or matter, it is awareness. But soul goes to its basic form of inert energy in deep sleep. Soul is produced from oxidation of food. The inert energy produced from the oxidation of food, when flow through nevervous system it become awareness. Thus for soul a medium is required . Soul is not a ruler or death. Soul is a part of creation. This world is ‘Mithya’, which means almost unreal because its reality is negligible. The existence of a tiny cut on your shirt is negligible and you will not count its existence. This entire world is almost unreal for God and is like a day dream. All the five elements viz. matter and energy are almost unreal in view of God. The soul is made of tender and weakest energy called as awareness (chit), which is nervous energy flowing in most delicate matter i.e. brain and nerves. This nervous energy is almost negligible before the physical matter and inert energy and this physical matter and energy are negligible before God. Thus, the soul is twice negligible for God. The most negligible item of this world is the soul. The qualities or feelings (gunas) are like waves of soul. They are negligible before the existence of soul. The water associated with some kinetic energy induced becomes a wave. The wave represents that kinetic energy. The physical existence in terms of visibility of energy is negligible before the matter. Thus the wave representing energy is also not completely unreal and can be called as ‘Mithya’. The subtle body made of these qualities is Mithya before the soul. Thus a dream made of feelings is Mithya before a soul. What are these bonds like parents, wife, children etc? These bonds are only just feelings, which are waves of the nervous energy. A father and daughter or a brother and sister separated from the beginning met in a foreign country and got married. Later on they realised and could not continue as couple. The daughter of sister is married but the daughter of brother is treated as daughter. In some other region and religion, the system is reversed! It is the wave of mind or feeling that is the essence of a bond. Therefore all these bonds are almost unreal (Mithya) for a soul. Why there should be tensions, murders and suicides for the sake of these almost unreal bonds? Why there should be corruption for the sake of these almost unreal bonds and go to hell for the sin of corruption? It is these bonds that form the meaning of the word ‘world’ for the soul when the world is said to be Mithya and not the physical world. This is the essence of Shankara, which is misunderstood and the soul treats the physical world as unreal! An ignorant soul thinks that these bonds are real and undergoes tensions.
  5. Our feelings and unreal bonds of the world A paper and pen are sufficient to give a certificate. Similarly the knowledge and devotion, which are also made of nervous energy, are sufficient to attain the grace of God. The attachment to wealth is also a bond like the bonds with your family members. You are sacrificing your attachment to wealth and family members for the sake of God. Already the wealth and your family members are the immovable and movable properties of the Lord. For the sake of God, Shankara sacrificed the attachment to His mother and not sacrificed the mother because she is already a part of the movable property of the Lord. Similarly Gopikas sacrificed their families and butter (wealth) for the sake of the Lord and here also sacrifice of their bonds is the point. All the game is only with these feelings (bonds) which are almost unreal and not with real things. Therefore there need not be any tension regarding the bonds. Your bonds with other souls are unreal compared with the bond with God, just like the bonds in the drama are unreal compared with the bond with the owner of the drama. The dramatic bonds change from one drama to the other. Similarly the bonds with your souls change from one birth to the other. The bond with God is real and eternal because, even in Maha Pralaya (the final dissolution of the creation) the souls exist in God, which are controlled by Him always. The Master-Servant bond exists always, which is the essence of any other bond also. 7. The atheists believe the logical conclusions based on practical experience and in things present before the unclothed eye (perception). The real spiritual knowledge can satisfy all these requirements. The human incarnation of the God is before the eyes. All the bonds with family and wealth are before the eyes and liberation from such bonds called salvation is also before eyes. One can experience God through the human incarnation in this world itself and in this very life itself. Infinite love and bliss derived from the special divine knowledge preached by the human incarnation are enjoyed here itself. Enjoyment of love and bliss is the goal of any worldly bond. This is called Jeevanmukti, which means the salvation here itself while you are alive. Whatever one achieved while alive only, continues with the soul after the death also. Thus perception is the basis for the invisible future also.
  8. Food ,Space and Soul- As per Veda Food is inert matter (Annam) and on oxidation (Prana), it produces inert energy. This energy is converted into awareness or chit. The Veda says ‘Annat purushah’. This inert energy is transformed into soul and this inert energy maintains the entire world as cosmic energy (Jeeva bhutam…the Gita). The Veda says that space is produced from soul. Here soul denotes inert energy only, which is its basic form. Therefore, the space is also inert. Otherwise space should have been a living being with awareness. According to Einstein space is geometrical only and exists as long as matter exists. But space is geometrical required for the waves to occupy and propagate. So, even if all the matter is converted into energy, space can still exist. As long as space exists energy has to exist because space is also a form of energy. Of course, if you speak of energy also in terms of matter, you can say that space exists as long as matter exists. The condensed energy is matter. This means energy can be diluted and so energy or space expands. This represents the theory of constant expansion of space. In Maha Pralaya, the design of the world exists which needs space. If only awareness disappears by destruction of all living beings, it is called as Pralaya. If all the matter disappears leaving energy, it is Maha Pralaya. Disappearance of matter means transformation of matter into energy. Similarly disappearance of awareness means transformation of awareness into inert energy. Up to this concept both God and energy exist like Father and mother. Up to this, both inference (philosophy) and perception (science) travel together like parents. The follower of Shakti cult (Shakteya) says that the energy itself is God and thus he is just the present scientist. He is better than Advaitin, who says that awareness is God. Even in Maha Pralaya at least energy exists. Awareness disappears even in Pralaya. Of course both these become one and the same if the awareness is also considered as energy basically. Both these depend on perception only. They too depend upon inference, but their inference is based on perception. The fire is inferred from smoke, because the relationship of fire and smoke is already seen (perception) in kitchen. Therefore awareness, the inferred God by Advaitin is imaginable and even perceivable through intricate modern instruments. Such inference is based on perception only. The inference of God should be based on scriptures like the Veda. The interaction of Father and mother is inferred by seeing the interaction of a couple later on. Such inference is perception based. But the interaction of God is never perceived, because God is never perceived since God is beyond even the imagination. Maha Karana Pralaya represents the dissolution of energy completely, which means the disappearance of space. The situation becomes unimaginable. The space of the dream disappears but still the brain exists in the absolute space. The mind (nervous energy) requires absolute space for existence. Thus existence of absolute space (Paramavyoma) is required for the existence of God. Since no item in the creation can stand as perfect representative of God, this problem comes. The existence of Paramavyoma again speaks about the existence of energy in more subtle form. The dissolution of energy to the fullest extent leads to complete unimaginable situation, which was exactly the situation before creation. Such a great devotee leaves the science and perception completely. He believes only in the Veda. He believes only in God as the absolute cause every time after Maha Pralaya. Such a great devotee never falls as he depends only on God as the root of root cause (Maha karanam). Jesus believed God in such a way. Shankara’s advaita is actually this concept only. An atheist cannot travel to this distance and so He (Shankara) stopped at the concept of awareness only so that every atheist is attracted and feels that the absolute is in him and finally he can become the absolute God. Even the concept of Pralaya is not brought here and awareness was declared as eternal. For the sake of a theist, awareness is eternal and remains in deep sleep and also in Pralaya. But the atheist should realize that awareness is not present in deep sleep since one is not aware of even the soul, which is awareness of awareness as found in meditation. The enquiry of the source of ‘I’, which represents the fundamental characteristic of awareness in deep sleep reveals the whole story. The inert energy is the source of ‘I’ as realized from the analysis of deep sleep. 9. Shri Ramanath asked whether the soul can be seen. Swami told “Veda and Gita say that the soul can be visualized by very careful analysis and vision (Drusyate Tvagrayaa…, Pasyanti Jnana Chakshushah….). After all, the soul is only pure awareness which is the nervous energy flowing in the nerves. Today we have very sophisticated instruments through which we can see this nervous energy flowing in nerves as waves. The soul is essentially the inert energy only. Ofcourse, the chip of the information (Jeeva) existing in the brain is specific for an individual i.e., accumulated from several births. Your body is like computer. The electricity flowing in the computer (Power) is the awareness or the soul. The information fed into the computer (Programme) is specific and is called as the individual soul or Jeeva. Therefore, you can see the soul in its essential form as energy. At the time of death this chip of information (Jeeva) comes out of the body. When the radio station transmits some speech in to the space, it travels in the space with a specific frequency and it is essentially energy only. But when it enters the radio the speech is heard. Similarly, the individual soul on entering a new alive body again transmits the information. Therefore, the soul or individual soul can be visualized as the energy only. When it enters another system (another human body), it behaves like the soul or individual soul which is the specific work form of energy. If you take the soul or individual soul as the specific form of energy only, it cannot be isolated like energy. You cannot take the photo of grinding work. The machine, the current, the motion of the rod that grinds the grains (Kinetic energy), grains etc., can be visualized. But none of these is the grinding work. The grinding work depends on all these components and we can see its effect as the flour of grains. The actual specific work cannot be visualized but can be experienced. By this point people have misunderstood that the soul is God because God is also not visible but can be experienced. But the difference is that God is independent, whereas the awareness (Specific form of work) depends on the brain, nervous system, food, oxygen and proper oxidation of food to release energy etc. Awareness is unreal by itself when isolated from all the components. God is the completely independent and ultimate absolute reality. A scientist told that the life energy is like the sound produced from the drum and stick. The sound is essentially mechanical energy and is neither the drum, nor the stick, nor the beat (Kinetic energy) nor the ear-drum that experiences the sound. Every item of the creation is a relative reality (Mithya) like the awareness except God. You can visualize the sound as energy waves but those waves are not sound. Only the effect of those waves is sound. Such effect is not self-existent independent item. Its existence is a compounded effect of all the parts of the system. Therefore, the soul in the form of inert energy can be visualized, which is its original form i.e., remaining in the state of deep sleep”. At the Lotus Feet of His Holiness Sri Dattaswami Anil Antony www.universal-spirituality.org Universal Spirituality for World Peace antonyanil@universal-spirituality.org
  10. First of all we should analyse the soul. The soul is made of pure awareness. The vibrations of pure awareness are called as feelings or qualities. Therefore all the characteristic qualities are associated with the soul and are made of pure awareness. What is pure awareness? It is only a special form of inert energy. When we eat the food, it is oxidised by the oxygen received through the respiratory system. When the food is assimilated in the digestive system, it is oxidised by the Oxygen from the respiratory system, which is carried by the blood in dissolved state through Haemoglobin. The oxidation of food is exothermic reaction and liberates inert heat energy. This inert heat energy is converted into a special form of energy called awareness by the nervous system. The electricity is produced by the generator and enters the tube light. The electrical energy is converted into light, which is another new form of energy. The heat energy produced by the interaction of digestive and respiratory system is called life energy (Pranamaya kosa). When this heat energy is converted into awareness by nervous system the awareness or mind is produced (Manomaya kosa). This awareness which is in the purest state is called as the soul (or Atman). This awareness is propagated in the form of pulses and these pulses as a bundle is called as Jeeva. The bundle of pulses of awareness is called as simply Jeeva from the point of pulses, is called as Atman from the point of awareness and is also called as Jeevatman from the point of both the pulses and awareness. The constant propagation of pulses is called as mind (manas). The impressions of strong pulses are called as Chittam. The production of strong of pulses by the interaction of several weak pulses is called as intelligence or determination or Buddhi. The strong pulse that keeps the identity of the body is called as Ahamkara or ego. When you say the word Jeeva, it refers only to Manas, Chittam, Buddhi and Ahamkara (Antahkaranams). Therefore the soul and Jeeva together called as Jeevatma is only a special form of energy i.e., generated by the interaction of digestive, respiratory and nervous systems. Thus Jeeva representing the bundle of characteristics and Atman representing the special form of energy or Soul can be only the items of creation and not the creator. You are worried about the generation of Soul but there need not be any worry because Soul is an item of creation. In this creation there is conversion of matter into energy. There is conversion of one type of matter into another type of matter through a chemical reaction as done by chemists. There is also conversion of one form of energy into another form of energy as done by physicists. There is conversion of matter into energy as done by technologists and engineers. Now if the Soul is generated, what is there to worry? This topic comes under the realm of creation and is within the boundaries of the creation. Gita says that the Soul is Paraprakruti. Prakruti means creation. Para means the finest part of creation. Therefore the transformation of Soul or division of Soul or generation of Soul is only topic of science and is not a topic of spirituality. Spirituality deals with creator who is beyond the creation. Veda says ‘Annat Purushah’, which means that the Soul is produced from the food. It is conversion of matter into Soul, which is energy.
  11. What is soul? If it is produced from food then, when food stops soul is destroyed? Soul is pure awareness, which is a special work form of energy produced by the oxidation of food. Its generation requires the function of several biological systems also like lungs, stomach, nervous system etc. When any one of these fail, the energy is not produced and awareness in general disappears as in the deep sleep in which the nervous system takes rest. But the subtle body, which is a bundle of strong feelings (Samskaras), which are the waves of awareness, is not destroyed and it leaves the body for final enquiry. The enquiry is conducted by God based on these Samskaras only and not mere pure awareness, which is common in every soul. If you mean the subtle body for the soul, it is not destroyed. Even in the subtle body, pure awareness exists like gold in the jewels. At the Lotus Feet of His Holiness Sri Dattaswami Anil Antony www.universal-spirituality.org Universal Spirituality for World Peace antonyanil@universal-spirituality.org
  12. The inert energy produced by oxidation of food is the awareness Awareness is only the name of – a specific type of work Like walking, talking, eating etc., - work is a form of energy. The original form of energy – is converted into specific work. Specification of work depends – on specification of system. Electricity is the form of energy – the same is converted into Different types of works – in corresponding specific machines. Same electricity in grinder – is converted in to grinding work. Same in a drilling machine – is converted in to drilling work. Similarly, the inert energy – produced in the form of heat By oxidation of food due to – interaction with the oxygen, Gets converted into awareness – in nervous system-machine. Awareness means knowledge – it is the process of knowing, Knowing means a type of work – work is not independent item. It depends on the working element – and the working machine. The working element here is – the inert energy liberated, The working machine here is – the nervous system. If a small electric shock is given – nervous system stops Functioning any more, – the work is also stopped at once. In deep sleep also – nervous system rests and no work. When one awakes from deep sleep – the work starts again. Work is property of inert energy – knowledge is property of awareness. Awareness is also property – of inert energy vanishing in deep sleep. Inert energy remains – without exhibiting knowledge and awareness. Hence, this inert energy is called as – Nirgunam or quality less. Awareness or knowledge is only – a quality or a property only. Sattvam is knowledge – sattvam is a quality and not entity. The entity here is inert energy – that remains in deep sleep. Even the inert energy is dynamism – or oscillation of intensity, It is propagation of waves, – it is again called as Rajas. Rajas is also a quality only, – its inertia is called as Tamas. Tamas is again a quality only, – the soul or inert energy In cosmic magnification is called as – the primordial energy Or Mula Maya or Mula Prakruti, – it is also a property only. Property is dependable – entity is independent substratum. Blue color is a property – the flower is the entity or dravya. If the flower is bleached – it looses its blue color, It became Nirgunam or – attribute less relatively With respect to blue color – the flower is not absolutely Nirgurnam to be called as God, – similarly inert energy or soul Lost its property of awareness – in deep sleep, became Nirgunam Relatively and so it is not – absolute Nirgunam or God.
  13. The defects of awareness are several The defects of awareness are several – It is weakest form of energy Flowing in the tender nerves, – It is discontinuous as living beings, It is ending in deep sleep every day, – It is daily generated form. It requires the functioning system – Of brain and various nerves. It requires inert Energy produced – By oxidation of food taken, Oxidation requires the oxygen – In functioning respiratory system Assisting the functioning system – Of digestion of food. In spite of hundred defects – it is selected by Shankara, Since it serves the purpose of – Contemporary human incarnation. This awareness is energy – Energy propagates as waves. The Shiva Linga represents – The wave form of energy. Shankara is incarnation of Shiva – Represented by Shiva Linga, Stands perfectly for Lord Shiva – Introducing awareness-Energy. The atheists cannot tolerate – The human form even in Energy. In course of time, theists increased – With decrease in ego and jealousy, Yet, they cannot tolerate the direct – Human form before their eyes. Ramanuja and Madhva introduced – Human form in the Energetic form, But, the form is in upper world – Not before the eyes here. The result is human Energetic form – Like Narayana, Brahma and Shiva Existing in the upper worlds only – Never appear before the eyes. Such Energetic forms cannot be worshipped – Only imagined by mind, There is no possibility of service – To such imaginary forms. Statues, representing models came – For easy worship and service. Ramanuja worshipped statue of Narayana – Direct worship and service To human form are indicated here – It is only the advanced training. Madhva worshipped statue of Krishna, – The past human incarnation. The concept is revealed fully here – That is human incarnation only. He introduced Hanuman as brother, - Who served human form of God. Almost the entire concept came out – Except one small single point, That is revealed now by Datta Swami – The fourth and final preacher. The only point is that the goal is – The contemporary human incarnation. Hanuman did not worship Vamana – As the statue as you do now. He worshipped Rama, His contemporary – Human incarnation only. Gopikas did not worship statue of Rama – Only Krishna, their contemporary. Hanuman became God, the creator – Gopikas reached top most Goloka. Are you greater than Hanuman and Gopikas – To reject your contemporary?
  14. Relations are unreal The Vedas say that the Lord is the Mother, the Father and the Teacher.; mat?devo bhava| pit? devo bhava| acarya devo bhava|. This Vedic statement is the source of a very widespread confusion. This relates to two different interpretations based on treating the above sentences as either of karmadharaya or bahuvrihi samasa as per sa?sk?t grammar. Treating the above sentences as the karmadharaya samasa, its meaning becomes “Mother is God. Father is God...”. This is a fallacious conclusion since individuals (mother, father and teacher) are called God. This interpretation may have a limited utility to indicate that parents and teachers are to be treated as if they were God (giving them respect and service) as compared to any other individual in the world. They are to be placed above all individuals and material things in the world. However when it comes to the interaction of an individual with God, then even parents are to be rejected in favor of God. This meaning is not clear unless the above Vedic statement is considered as a bahuvrihi samasa. Then the meaning of the sentence becomes “God is the mother. God is the father...”. It means that He alone is all of them and that He is above all these temporary relations such as parents, teachers and others. If there is a choice between Him and anyone else or anything else in the world, one should choose Him alone even if it means rejecting the whole world. Hanuman took the above Vedic statement as a karmadharaya samasa and took his mother to be God. At the behest of his mother, añjani devi he offered protection to yayati, and fought against Lord Rama who was God Himself. In doing so he committed an error. He realized his mistake, which was caused by the misinterpretation of the Vedic statement. He had mixed dharma with the spiritual path. He forgot that he had to give up dharma and follow God alone. In his next incarnation as Lord Sa?kara, he corrected his mistake by leaving his mother for the sake of God. Thus in the prav?tti marga or the path of worldly activities, parents are to be treated above anyone or anything else but in the niv?tti marga or the spiritual path, parents have to be rejected in favor of God. There are three levels in the spiritual evolution of a person. The first is the lawless and chaotic life. This is the life of adharma. It can be compared to the ground (first) floor. Then there is the stage of dharma or righteousness. This is the second floor. The third floor is that of the devotee or the bhakti. The second floor is better than the first. The path from the first floor to the second is that of prav?tti, or righteous worldly action. You have to leave the adharmic or lawless way of life to go to the second floor. The third floor is the highest. The path between the second floor and the third is the niv?tti marga. In order to reach the third floor you have to leave the second; you have to leave dharma, which is the code for righteous worldly living. dharma has to be sacrificed for the sake of God. The Lord says in the Gita, “sarva dharman parityajya mameka? sara?a? vraja...”, which means, “Leave all worldly duties and laws and surrender to Me alone. I will free you from all sins; do not worry.” Thus we have to sacrifice the bonds with parents and family and develop the single bond with God. We can follow dharma in our worldly interactions, since dharma is better than adharma but when it comes to our relation with God, we have to give up even dharma. The fruit of adharma or the unjust and lawless life is dhu?kha or sorrow. In the mahabharata, we find that the kauravas under the leadership of duryodhana were unjust and cruel. They are on the ground floor of adharma. Lord Krishna was in the role of Yama, the Lord of death. He gave them du?kha or misery. yama is the one who controls; yamayati iti yama?. Their opponents were the just and righteous pa??avas. They followed dharma or righteousness. Lord gave them heaven. The Lord asked dharmaraja, the pa??ava king, to lie to his teacher in order to win the war against injustice. dharmaraja, who was a firm believer in dharma did not do so. He chose dharma over the Lord. This was his mistake. This proved that he was only fit for the second floor. He was not fit to be a devotee. He was given heaven. He was also given temporary happiness in this world in the form of the kingdom of hastinapura. Heaven represents happiness or sukha. This happiness, whether in heaven or on earth, is finite. It is limited in intensity and duration. The follower of dharma is inferior to the devotee but it is better than the first floor of injustice. The devotee enjoys bliss or ananda. This is infinite and permanent happiness; sukha? atisaya? aparichinna? ananda?. The gopikas were real devotees. They left all dharma in their devotion for the Lord. They were given bliss. Sa?kara left His widowed and helpless mother for the mission of the Lord. Prahlada did not intervene when the Lord slew his unjust and cruel father. He chose God over his father. In doing so, both Sa?kara and Prahlada violated worldy dharma for the sake of the Lord. The real devotee understands that his relations in this world are temporary and unreal. Those who are his parents in this birth were not his parents in his past births and will not be related to him in the next. All the souls are just playing their roles in the drama of life. In their subsequent births the same actors will come in different roles. Enemies of the past birth may become father and son in this birth and complete strangers in the next. Sa?kara gives the logic that that which does not exist before and will not exist afterwards, does not exist in the present and is unreal; ‘yadanityam...loke’. The relation of father and son was not there earlier, will not be there in the future so it is not there in the present too. This is true for all relationships. They are essentially unreal. The individual is real in the past, present and the future. The only relation that is permanent is the relation between the Lord and the devotee (individual). He is like the employer of the actors in the drama of life.
  15. The world is a composite of 1) Primary energy (Mula Maya), 2) Matter, awareness and different forms of energy like light, heat etc. (Maha Maya) and 3) The forms of matter and feelings of awareness (Maya). For the soul only Maya is unreal because soul being awareness is in the higher plane. The soul is a part of Maha Maya. Maya is like the drama which is restricted to the roles and dialogues including actions (feelings). The actors, dresses, lights and stage constitute Maha Maya which remains even after the drama. Even if these items of Maha Maya are removed, the ground remains eternal which is like the Mula Maya. Therefore, with reference to the soul, only the drama is unreal. The Unreal world for the soul is restricted to the Maya only. If you define the world as Maha Maya and Mula Maya, it is real for the soul. If you define the world as Maya, Maha Maya and Mula Maya put together, it is mixture of reality and unreality and hence can neither be stated as real nor unreal (Mithya of Shankara). If you restrict the world to Maya only, it is nothing (Shunyam of Buddhists and Asat of Gaudapada). If you restrict the world to Maha Maya and Mula Maya, it is real (Sat of Ramanuja and Madhva). Therefore, with reference to the soul the world can be real or unreal or a mixture of both according to the limitations of the restricted part of the creation. If the reference is changed from soul to God, the entire creation is unreal because there is nothing other than God. But to prove the reality of the entertainment of God, the world has to be real for God also and this requires the separate existence of the world. A negligible part of God might have been modified into the world so that both the concepts can be simultaneously maintained. A negligible quantity can be treated almost nil. Such modification can be treated as real (Parinama) or apparent (Vivarta). It is immaterial because the modified part is very much negligible. But in any case, the knowledge of the nature of God becomes essential. All this can be accepted if you place the primary energy in the place of God. But the primary energy is only the first creation of God. Therefore, all this analysis ends with only the first item of the creation (Primary energy). The link between God and Primary energy is unimaginable since God Himself is unimaginable. This is the analysis that can be done with the help of scriptures, science and logic and experience of liberated souls. We can combine these two concepts and arrive at Primary energy charged by unimaginable God as the starting point to avoid defects from both sides. Now the problem is solved.
  16. Final entity is God only, – the ultimate substratum of creation. The first creation is – this primordial energy or space, Akassha. Ultimate Nirgunam finally stands – for ultimate God only. But Nirgunam can also be used – relatively to created items. Radio is on a table – the table is finally standing on earth. Earth is the ultimate support – but table is also relatively, A support with respect to – the radio standing on it. Similarly, the inert energy – is called as Nirgunam relatively. The inert energy is entity – relatively with respect to awareness. Awareness is entity relatively – with respect to knowledge. The relative Nirgunam is not – the absolute Nirgunam, the God. Table is relative support – it is not absolute support, the earth. Space, invisible energy – appearing as vacuum or Shunyam, Generates visible energy or Agni – and matter in three states. Finally space generates – awareness, a special typical work. Mula Maya or space gives – matter, visible energy and awareness. These three are Maha Maya, – the conversion of Mula Maya Into Maha maya is apparent – from the view of Mula Maya. From the view of Maha Maya – conversion is real. Apparent conversion is Vivarta – real conversion is Parinama. If you see mud in the pot – conversion is apparent, If you see the pot only – conversion is real. Vivarta says that no pot exists – without the mud. Parinama says that pot brings water – but not the mud. Both are simultaneous truths – with respect to cause and effect. There is no difference between – Shankara and Ramanuja, Shankara is for Vivarta – Ramanuja is for Parinama. But the main point here is – conversion is limited here Between Mula Maya and Maha Maya – God is not here. Generation of Mula Maya – from God is not the topic. The evolution of Mula Maya – from God is unimaginable. Mula Maya is imaginable – but God is unimaginable. The production of imaginable – from unimaginable Does not exist anywhere – in this imaginable creation. Only conversion of imaginable – into imaginable is known. As Mula Maya generates Maha Maya – Maha Maya gives Maya. Matter gives forms; Agni gives qualities – like colors etc., Awareness gives feelings – like knowledge, love etc., Mula Maya With respect to God – Maha Maya w.r.t. Mula Maya, Maya w.r.t. Maha Maya is Mithya, – Mithya is relatively real. Entire creation is Maya, – Maha Maya and Mula Maya. The soul is in Maha Maya, – for soul Maya is Mithya. For God entire creation – is Mithya, not for the soul. The dream is Maya only – it is Mithya for the soul. But the creation is not – Maya alone to be Mithya For the soul, – creation is dream for God only. For the soul Maya in creation – is like the dream. Forms, qualities and feelings – constitute Maya in creation. When Shankara says that – the creation is Mithya For the soul, the creation – is confined to Maya only. Only the forms, qualities and feelings – are Mithya for soul. Primordial energy, - matter, visible energy and awareness Are Mithya for God only, – dream of the soul is a simile For the creation of God, – simile is only a simile, after all. Concept is creation of God, – simile is dream of soul. Through the simile – concept must be understood clearly. Simile should not be taken – as the very concept itself. The soul can enjoy the Maya part – of this creation as dream. But the soul should not treat – the other two parts as dream. For example take a girl, – the beautiful form of her body, The shining color of energy, - and her love, the feeling, All the three are Mithya – relative realities only for you With respect to her matter, – her energy and her awareness. You should not be trapped by – the Mithya part of the girl. But one should not think that – total girl herself is Mithya. The matter and energy of her body – and her awareness Are not Mithya, they are real – equal to your self. If you say that the girl is Mithya – you are also Mithya. Yourself and girl are Mithya – for the primordial energy. Both of you are Maha Maya – and Mithya for Mula Maya. Mula Maya is Mithya for God – both of you are also Mithya For God, who alone can create – Mula Maya or the space. A liberated soul blessed with – super powers from God Stands in the plane of Mula Maya, – Maha Maya is Mithya For him only, even he cannot – create the Mula Maya. The creator of Mula Maya is – God alone, God alone is The creator, Ruler and destroyer – of Mula Maya of creation. As God enjoys with relatively real – creation like a dream, You can enjoy the Maya part – of this creation as a dream. For God entire creation is cinema, – for you Maya alone is A similar cinema, Maya is cinema – in this creation-cinema. You are a part of cinema for God, – Maya is cinema for you. In a drama, roles are forms, – colors are visible qualities, Actions are feelings, all these three – are Mithya for you. But the stage, actors and lights – are not Mithya for you. With super powers you can control – Maha Maya as Mithya. But you cannot generate – the very Mula Maya or space. The energy liberated from – the fission of an atom can Destroy the total awareness – existing in all the humanity! You are a part of Maha Maya – controlled by Mula Maya. You cannot create even an atom – how can you be God? Advaitin says that awareness – is converted in to dream. The dream consists of living – and non-living objects together. He takes this similarity into – this entire creation and says that Since creation consists of – both living and non-living items, The cause of the universe – must be also the same awareness. Hence, he concludes that – soul is the common awareness. But the dream is not the actual – creation in anyway. There is similarity but both differ – in degree of reality.
  17. Human incarnation – Christian – Hindu- Muslim View I repeatedly say that Hinduism and Christianity have the same basic structure of spiritual knowledge. When God comes down as Human Incarnation, He is viewed in three ways. Some people view the Human Incarnation as God in-Toto. When the electricity enters the wire it pervades all over the wire. Wherever you touch the wire you will experience the electricity. Veda says the same “Antar Bahischa Tat Sarvam…..”, which means that God pervaded all over the human body and is present inside as well as outside the human body of the Human Incarnation. This view is called as monoism (Advaita) of Sankara. This exactly coincides with the statement of Jesus “I and My Father are one and the same”. The Human Incarnation is convenient for the sake of human beings. The vision, touch, conversation and co-living are quite possible with Human Incarnation. The human body is exactly the similar medium in which the soul of a human being also exists. For any transaction common medium is the best. It is unnecessary and wastage of time and effort to try to see God in the medium of energetic form. For such a divine vision lot of severe penance has to be done. You have seen the same God in another medium called as energy. Is it not wastage of time and effort to try to see a person in a silk shirt, when the same person is appearing before you in the cotton shirt? The person is important and not the shirt. There is a saying which states that one caught a small rat after digging a big hill. Some people try to imagine God embedded in the pure awareness, which is the finest form of energy. Such form of energy is very very subtle and can be perceived only by imagination. The pure awareness is only the costliest shirt. Therefore, the time and effort you have concentrated on the meditation to perceive God in such costliest shirt through your mind is the climax of wastage of your time and effort. The penance to see the energetic form and the meditation to imagine God in pure awareness are unnecessary efforts because you can see the same God in the human body of the Human Incarnation. Moreover, the human body is very very clear for the vision. The energetic form cannot be seen by the unclothed eyes. Only by special energy granted by the Lord, the eyes can see such energetic form. The internal eye which is the mind can only imagine the form of pure awareness. Moreover, touch is not possible in the case of the forms of energy as well as awareness. Conversation with the form of pure awareness is very much subtle and unclear. The conversation with the energetic form can take place but that is also limited to a few seconds only. The energetic form is highly unstable and is subjected to diffusion. The entropy of the energetic form is very low and the spontaneity is towards the increase in entropy. Therefore, a long conversation is not possible with energetic forms. The energetic form appears for a few seconds only and grants the boons for the penance and disappears immediately by the process of diffusion. Such energetic form is not at all convenient for co-living. If you see Lord Krishna, the devotees could see the Lord for a long time. They could embrace Him for a long time. They could talk with Him for any length of time till their doubts are cleared. They could even hear the sweet songs from the mouth of the Lord. They lived with the Lord closely for years together. Such fortune is unimaginable and thus the human form of God is the best. Only very very few fortunate devotees can recognize God in human form and receive all the benefits fully. Some devotees doubt the Lord in human form due to over logic and loose the golden chance. Therefore, a human being can approach God completely only through the human form. This is stated by Jesus “one can reach My Father only through Me”. Thus very fortunate devotees believe the monoism of the wire and the electricity and get the complete benefit. The second view is to see the God and the Human Body as separate items. The monoism gets diluted because of the natural egoism and jealousy of humanity. They cannot accept a particular human being as God. For such acceptance complete eradication of egoism and jealousy is needed which is highly impossible. God is present in the heart of the Human Incarnation. The Lord is wrapped by the human body like a chocolate is wrapped by a covering sheath. The inner Lord is the main component and the external human body is only a minor component. The human body is recognized as a part and parcel of the Lord but it is of least importance. One cannot experience the Lord just by seeing or touching the covering sheath. The main component is called as ‘Seshi’ and the minor component is called as ‘Sesha’. This is the philosophy of Ramanuja. Jesus also represents this concept. Jesus told that God is His Father and that He is the beloved son of the Lord. The son is always together with the Father and is not an outsider. The blood of the Father and the son is one and the same. Thus both are essentially one and the same but God has major importance and the son has minor importance. Whenever Jesus talked that He is the Son of God this line of philosophy appears, which is called as ‘Visishta Advaita’ or a special type of monoism. The Father and His son are physically separate but both are one and the same by their essence. The Father is like ocean and the Son is like a wave. The human beings cannot worship the God. For their convenience, a small part of God came down to give the divine experience. The third line of view is ‘Dvaita’ or Dualism. This results when the egoism and jealousy of a human being is in climax. They cannot accept any human being greater than themselves in any way. God is the Master and the Human Incarnation is only His dear servant. The servant is an outsider and has no blood relationship with the father. God sends His messenger to pass on His message on the earth. Every human being is a servant of God and thus all human beings are spiritually equal. God chooses a particular servant as a messenger to the earth. Such choosing of the messenger is only a chance. This belongs to Madhva. God never enters any human body and will not come down to the earth. Only a little power and His grace enter the messenger. Whenever Jesus claimed Himself as the messenger from the God, this line of philosophy appeared. Islam believes this type of concept for them. Mohammed is only a messenger from God. They do not accept the concept of Human Incarnation. But they respect the messenger and worship Him as the representative of God. Thus this type of worship started the representative worship. A representative of God can be any object in the world. Not only the human body but also any non-living inert object can also stand as the representative of God. Based on this only, the Persians started worshipping Fire as God. Some devotees feel that God is the all-pervading cosmic energy, which is also inert. Some meditate upon God as the all-pervading pure awareness, which is also another special form of energy only. Life or awareness is a special form of nervous energy. Some have started worshipping every human being or even every living being as God. Some have expanded the concept to every living and nonliving object and thus treated the entire cosmos as God. Scientists believe that the ultimate is only this world. Thus this concept of representative worship ended with atheism finally. This concept has good sides also. When the Human Incarnation is denied the false human incarnations are prevented. Otherwise several preachers have started cheating the public by exploiting this concept. In that way this line of philosophy is no doubt good. Thus, the Christianity and Hinduism have the same structure of philosophy and can be treated as the two branches of the same tree. Only the language, culture, food habits etc., differ in these two religions. But the internal spiritual essence is one and the same. Only these two religions accept the concept of Human Incarnation and treat the human form as God. I do not understand why there is a quarrel between Hindus and Christians when such a wonderful homogeneity exists. The History also showed the mutual love and respect in these two religions as you can see the honour of Jesus in India and the honour of Hindu saints like Swami Vivekananda in Christian countries. No other two religions have such fusion as Christianity and Hinduism. When such homogenous religions quarrel with each other, not to speak of quarrels between heterogeneous religions. Never a Church in India was attacked and never a temple in America was attacked. The Christianity is spreading in India very easily. Similarly, Hinduism is also spreading very fast in Christian countries. Therefore, I wish the fusion of these two religions in the beginning to stand as an example for other religions also to fuse with each other. This will be the first step for the Universal Spirituality.
  18. By sacrifice we are unhappy and the Lord is happy. Is it not the sadism of the Lord? The real love requires the unhappiness by sacrifice. In such sacrifice one feels happy since he sacrificed to the Lord. You take the mother. She gives the food to her child and suffers with hunger. But she feels very happy in that suffering. A human being cannot give back any thing for such real love. Even if he gives something i.e., temporary only. But when the real love is proved by the sacrifice the Lord gives the permanent fruit i.e., Brahma Loka. Sakthuprashta gave his food to the Lord in human form though he was not having food for the past ten days. If the guest was an ordinary human being, the guest must have been a sadist, because he never cared about the hunger of Sakthuprastha. But since the guest was the Lord, Sakthuprastha was given infinite wealth in this world and also the permanent Brahma Loka after death. Therefore you must be very careful in fixing the human form of the Lord. Otherwise if the human form is an ordinary human being you are deceived and such a human being is definitely a sadist. The unhappiness in sacrifice and the happiness that neutralizes unhappiness are the characteristics of the path of the sacrifice. The Lord does not insist such path. The path should come from the depth of your heart with full willingness. If you fear for the unhappiness you can never follow that path. When the case comes to your children, you will not put this question because you have real love to them. Are you not sacrificing your food to your child even though you suffer with hunger and feel happy? Since you are not having the real love on the Lord this question is coming to your mind.
  19. What is the importance of human incarnation over a statue in our worship? A statue cannot test your real essence in the sacrifice. When you offer food to a statue the sacrifice is only by words and by mind but when you sacrifice the food to the human incarnation the sacrifice is real because the human form of the Lord eats the food. Thus the reality of the worship comes out only when the Lord is in human form. Sakthuprastha was tested by the Lord in human form and not by the statue.
  20. Human form of God and His testing The human form of the Lord, which comes to test you, is itself called Datta. People are fond of statues because there is minimum guarantee of the business with the statue. You give one chocolate to the Lord aspiring for ten chocolates. The ten chocolates may be given or may not be given. But at least the one chocolate, which you have given must not be lost. This is the minimum guarantee business, which only you prefer in the world. Therefore when you offer one chocolate to the statue it will not eat. The ten chocolates may come or may not come. At least your one chocolate is saved but if you give one chocolate to the human form of the Lord, He will eat it and thus the minimum guarantee is lost. The factors involved for your success in the test of Datta are 1) Can you give more value to the Lord than any thing and any body in this world? 2) Can you believe the human form of the Lord, which has approached you completely without any trace of doubt? Majority of the people fail in the first point itself because they are using the Lord to achieve and happiness to their families. Such instrumental God cannot have more value than the money or the family. A very few top most devotees succeed in the first point. But they fail in the second point to recognize the human form of the Lord and to believe the human form of the Lord completely. Therefore they fail in the second point. Only one in millions and that too in one birth out of millions of births can succeed in both the points. Gita says the same (Kaschitmaam Bahunaam Janmanaam). The factors that will help you to pass the test are to catch the Satguru who can alone explain the true path from Vedas and the mental determination, which is attained by you either in this birth or in the previous births.
  21. see the above post also This creation consists of matter, awareness and energy as the components. Matter takes different forms like pot, table etc. Energy takes different work forms like light, heat etc. Awareness is also a special work form of energy only, which is generated when the energy functions in a special system called nervous system and brain. The work forms of awareness are ideas, which if become firm, are called as qualities (Gunas). For example charity is a quality, which in the initial stage is an idea only. This world is said to be constituted by the three fundamental qualities (Sattvam, Rajas and Tamas), but remember, this world is made of the three qualities only from the point of God. This means, for God only, this entire creation is imaginary. For a soul it is not so. For a soul this world is made of matter, energy and awareness. In fact, matter and awareness are also different forms of energy only. Hence, basically the creation is made of energy only. Awareness is the weakest form of energy. Hence, the conclusion is that this world made of energy is weakest for God and hence this world is just an imagination only for God. For the soul, the world is very strong because the soul itself is awareness or the weakest form of energy. This is the scientific explanation for the creation to be strong and real for the soul, where as the world is just the weakest form of energy or awareness modified in to qualities for God.
  22. The matter, energy and awareness (a form of energy only) are real for the individual souls and hence the world made of these three items is not unreal. But, for God, the total world is unreal. However, for both God and individual soul, the common world consisting of these unreal bonds is unreal, which is the basis of the entertainment. You can entertain with unreal items only. The entertainment is not at all based on matter, energy and awareness, which are the three uniform phases without any difference. The difference only causes the design and brings the limits causing the individuality. The homogeneous single phase of cosmos (since matter, energy and awareness are inter convertible resulting in the final single phase of cosmic energy) is called as Brahman, in the form of creation (Karya Brahman) and this cannot give any entertainment. If you try to analyze God (Karana Brahman), it is also homogeneous phase of unimaginable entity. Shankara represented God by this single phased cosmic energy in the form of awareness (awareness is a special work form of energy) or Karya Brahman. This clearly means that neither Karya Brahman is God nor God charges Karya Brahman homogeneously. If such charging takes place, there is no difference between seer and seen. Such charging takes place in the case of human incarnation because if an individual soul is charged by God, such human incarnation can be the seer of the rest uncharged world (cosmic energy).
  23. Buddha introduced the social service in which you have to serve the humanity like the servant. This is a training course given to serve the human form in general so that in course of time you will serve the human form of the Lord. Lord Krishna also emphasised such training in Gita. The service should be without any desire according to Buddha and this is the Nishkama Karma Yoga taught by Krishna in Gita. When you are trained in doing such selfless service to the humanity, you will naturally do the same selfless service to the Lord in human form also. The selfless service is indicated by the word Dharma. The humanity is indicated by the word Sangha. The Lord in the human form is indicated by the word Buddha. The words Dharma and Sangha indicate the training to serve the humanity without any selfishness. The word Buddha denotes to serve the human incarnation after this training in the same way. This is the essence of the three statements “Buddham, Dharmam, Sangham Saranam Gachchami”. Sankara also formulated this training in order to remove the repulsion to the human form. He asked to serve all the human beings treating each human being as Brahman. He included yourself also as Brahman so that you will not have egoism and jealousy to the humanity. When the training is over and the repulsion to the human form ceased the ripened souls served Him as the human incarnation of Sankara. To such disciples only He told “Sivah Kevaloham” which means that Sankara Himself alone is Lord Siva.
  24. The heaven, which is the fruit of doing social service is temporary Another human incarnation of Lord Datta was Manikya Prabhu, who as a boy excreted in the Vedic fire alter and His excretion was found to be a lump of gold. The Vedic fire alter is Yajna, which represents the path to heaven. The heaven means luxurious life, which involves excess wealth indicated by the lump of gold. But the lump of gold was treated to be the excretion, which is considered to be wastage. This means that the luxurious life is wastage only. The heaven, which is the fruit of doing social service is temporary (Ksheene punye….Gita) and is not like the permanent bliss of the Lord. The present politicians who do social service without the name of the Lord, just to become wealthy and lead a luxurious heavenly life, should take the message from the Lord Datta.
  25. You should not misunderstand the silence of God to your prayers in your problems. Why God is careful while granting boons? The treasure of God is infinite and will not exhaust by giving you some money The treasure of God is infinite and will not exhaust by giving you some money. Similarly, if He cancels your sins, there is no body to question Him. Then, why is He delaying in giving money to you and in removing your problems by canceling all your sins? The reason is that His single aim is to transform you in to a divine soul. If He gives you money, what will be the change in your behavior? If He removes all your problems, what will be the change in the practical style of your life? If God is sure that there will be no change in your behavior, He will certainly make you wealthy and will remove all your problems. A doctor is careful to give sweets to a diabetic patient. If the sugar-level of the patient rises, the problem in treating the patient also is on the head of the doctor only. If you become wealthy and get rid of all problems, you may become an uncontrolled demon and disturb the society. You may be immersed in endless luxuries and fall down. In such case, to save the society and to save your self, God has to act. Therefore, God is careful in granting boons. Except this complication, God is not worried in any way because His power and wealth are infinite. If you can become a realized and liberated soul through the spiritual knowledge, then, there will be no change even if you become wealthy and happy. The spiritual knowledge is like the sugar tablet given to the patient in advance. In absence of such medicine in advance, the doctor will not give you more sweets since he is aware of your sugar (ego) level in your blood. Hence, you should not misunderstand the silence of God to your prayers in your problems.
