Krunk's back from a Memorial Day recharge with another MASSIVE line-up for your Saturday night intoxication. We have a live performance from the ONE and ONLY HEAD ROC and a special DJ set from Krunk favorite Moe aka Winterman!! We're also celebrating the very special birthday of Krunk fam member Amanda PleazureKitten!!

It's finally time for the long awaited PLEAZURE KITTEN B-DAY JAM (whose nickname origin shall remain undisclosed at this time)!! Check the hype on the forum board about her, birthday suits and NOT ordering tequila (though it's a Winterman favorite, wink wink). We are proud to host the birthday celebration of our super sweet yet sexy Krunk-sis Amanda. We can't wait to carry her out... but not after plenty drunken shenanigans, embarrassing photos and over consumption. Can you say DD?

LIVE PERFORMANCE:

HEAD-ROC

f/ Noyeek the Grizzly Bear & DJ Eurok!

For almost ten years the DC Hip-Hop scene has been the breeding ground for some of the most talented and dynamic acts on the East Coast. One such prominent pillar is local legend Head-Roc. With the help of manager Jarobi (of ATCQ), Heady's name has become synonymous with leadership, organization, and show rocking! Along with being a member of Infinite Loop w/ Noyeek, he is also a member of, without question the most revered band in the DC Metropolitan Area, Three Levels of Genius (3LG). What started out as a temporary fill quickly became an integral of part of a band that already had established its musical brilliance. Appealing to more than just Hip-Hop listeners, 3LG have rocked stages with legends ranging from A Tribe Called Quest and Run DMC, to Buckshot LeFonque and Bernie Worell (Parliament). It is this wide fan base that has made 3LG winners of The Washington Area Music Association’s “Best Hip-Hop Group” award the past four years in a row.

In 2004 after delivering a blistering performance in for the Lyricist Lounge Tour last year at the world famous 9:30 Club, Head-Roc has greatly expanded and diversified his already dedicated DC fan base largely through his songs dealing with social awareness. The first being the Beats For Peace Tour featuring legendary Hip-Hop icons De La Soul where Head-Roc debuted the smash hit “Enough!” first released as a part of the Radio CPR compilation CD on world renowned Punk/Indie label Dischord Records.

It wasn’t long before Head-Roc, along with Noyeek The Grizzly Bear and DJ Eurok (of Reunion Thursdays), were being asked to perform for functions like the Green Party National Convention and concerts like the Interdependence Day/ACLU College Freedom Tour with high profile national artists Dead-Prez. On October 7th, 2004 Head-Roc, along with Democratic Presidential Candidate Dennis Kucinich, Independent Presidential Candidate Ralph Nader, and U.S. Congressman John Conyers rallied at the historic Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church (DC) for a highly publicized DC Statehood Rally. Head-Roc delivered a heart-felt performance that further expanded his fan base that now includes people of all ages and walks of life!

DJ SET:

WINTERMAN

Untitled-50.jpg

We couldn't wait to invite Moe / Winterman back for the official Krunk follow up, especially after the drunken dance floor frenzy his previous reggae, dnb and hip-hop appearance caused! American born, Jamaican raised Winterman has been heavily educated in the ways of Reggae Roots & Culture. Winterman has become an inspirational fixture in the DC scene and consistently defines the very meaning of grass roots scene support. Whether it’s the managing of label operations or the production of genre spanning tunes, or the promoting and DJing of events from U Street to the DC Tunnel, Moe strives to bridge the gap between foundational respect and generational diversity. Easily one of the hardest working men in metro area music, Winterman’s sets prove versatility while conveying the utmost personality. Please join us for this opportunity to experience Krunk fam-member WINTERMAN in this RARE DANCE HALL and REGGAE SET! It’s going to be a pressurized night featuring cherished selections stretching from deep within his crates. For more information: http://www.winternett.com
