The Washington Area Parrot Head Club is excited to announce our Seventh

Annual Independence Day Extravaganza! We have a phenomenal mix of bands! We have great food & drinks! We have parties that will place you high over our Nation's Capital, and give you a fish's eye view of the July 4th fireworks!

This two day event is NOT to be missed!

Sunday, July 3rd: Party on the Nation's Patio

Join other Parrot Heads over Washington as we Party on the Nation's Patio!!!

Yes it's a Blue Heaven Rendezvous with Changes in Altitude at our party 9 stories in the sky.

Announcing The First Annual Roof Top Parrot Head Party in our Nation's Capital!!

We have secured a rooftop patio in Downtown DC. The patio holds 400 people and you won't want to miss this party!! We have The John Frinzi Band and Jim Morris & the Big Bamboo Band for entertainment. We have Kegs!!! We have an All American Buffet!!! We have wine! And did I say we have Kegs!!!

Yes, the party will be phenomenal!!! But it is the view that will really set this apart from all the other parties in the Nation. From one side of the roof, you will see the White House and the Old Executive Office Building (the VP's office). Off a second side, you will see the Washington Monument, and behind that--the sun setting over the Potomac River. Off the third side-on a nearby rooftop--you will see a fully functional Patriot Missile Battery (we believe it is a Patriot) that is defending the capital of the Parrot Head Nation.

This event will begin at 4:00 and go till dusk. This is party you don't want to miss!!

Prior to the event we encourage people to attend the 39th Annual American Folk Life Festival on the National Mall. This festival is hosted by the Smithsonian Institution, so you know that it is not a hokie event.

Definitely something to visit. The American Folk Life Festival is free to all.

Monday, July 4: The Tropical Patriot Cruise VII

Our seventh annual Independence Day Celebration is a Capital Cruise!!! With "Bombs Bursting In Air" we will make our way up the Potomac River aboard the Cherry Blossom-the rear-wheel paddle boat with which many of you have become so familiar. At dusk, we will swing into position to watch the Nation's ONLY National Fireworks Display from the water.

This year we are excited to double the entertainment on the Boat. We will have Jim Morris and the Big Bamboo Band AND, Randy Ashcraft and the Saltwater Cowboys. Two phenomenal bands for the price of one!!!!

As always, full open bar and All American Buffett will be provided on the

Cherry Blossom.

Prior to the cruise, we will have entertainment in the patio of the Sheraton

Suites for all cruisers.

The Washington Area Parrot Head Club was created to promote friendships and organize social activities for people with similar interests, including enjoyment of the tropical spirit of Jimmy Buffett's music. In the process of making new friends and having fun, we believe in leaving something positive behind. We are a non-profit organization which provides a variety of volunteer efforts in the local, regional and national community for social and environmental causes. Our Club is open to anyone with the tropical spirit and desire to contribute to the betterment of our community.

WAPHC is a sanctioned member of Jimmy Buffett's Parrot Heads in Paradise, which pretty much makes us official in the eyes of the Head Parrot Head.
