District Of Columbia Representation

Recommended Posts

Has anyone been following Republican Rep. Thomas Davis, who chairs the House Government Reform Committee.

Davis has shown independence by his proposal to give the District of Columbia a voting member in the House, a seat certain to be won by a Democrat. In return, he proposed that Utah -- which fell just a few hundred people short in the 2000 Census -- be given a fourth House seat through 2012 when seats based on the 2010 Census will first be elected.

I think this is a pretty good idea.
