MAYOR FENTY VIOLATES DC CONSTITUTION Each state has a constitution and DC’s constitution is its “Home Rule Act; Public Law 93-198; 87 Stat. 777; D.C. Code § 1-201”. Mayor Adrian Fenty and members of the DC City Council who have voted to give Mayor Fenty control of the DC Public Schools are violating the DC’s constitution "Home Rule Act; Public Law 93-198; 87 Stat. 777; D.C. Code § 1-201". Under DC's constitution, its “Home Rule Act; Public Law 93-198; 87 Stat. 777; D.C. Code § 1-201", the only way Mayor Fenty can obtain control of the DC Public Schools is by means of amending the Home Rule Act after the “Voters” have agreed to such an amending. DC’s constitution “Home Rule Act; Public Law 93-198; 87 Stat. 777; D.C. Code § 1-201" is clear and reads as follows: SEC. 303. [D.C. Code 1-205] (a) The charter set forth in title IV (including any provision of law amended by such title), except sections 401(a) and 421(a) [D.C. Code 1-221(a) and 1-241(a)], and part C of such title [Appendix to Title 11, D.C. code], may be amended by an act passed by the Council and ratified by a majority of the registered qualified electors of the District voting in the referendum held for such ratification. The Chairman of the Council shall submit all such acts to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President of the Senate on the day the Board of Elections and Ethics certifies that such act was ratified by a majority of the registered qualified electors voting thereon in such referendum. ( B ) An amendment to the charter ratified by the registered electors shall take effect upon the expiration of the 35-calendar-day period (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and days on which either House of Congress is not in session) following the date such amendment was submitted to the Congress, or upon the date prescribed by such amendment, whichever is later, unless during such 35-day period, there has been enacted into law a joint resolution, in accordance with the procedures specified in section 604 of this act [D.C. Code 1-207], disapproving such amendment. In any case in which any such joint resolution disapproving such an amendment has, within such 35-day period, passed both Houses of Congress and has been transmitted to the President, such resolution, upon becoming law subsequent to the expiration of such 35-day period, shall be deemed to have repealed such amendment, as of the date such resolution becomes law. ( c ) The Board of Elections and Ethics shall prescribe such rules as are necessary with respect to the distribution and signing of petitions and the holding of elections for ratifying amendments to title IV of this Act [District Charter] according to the procedures specified in subsection (a) [of this section]. (d) The amending procedure provided in this section may not be used to enact any law or affect any law with respect to which the Council may not enact any act, resolution, or rule under the limitations specified in sections 601, 602, and 603 [D.C. Code 1-206, 1-233, and 47-313]. Suffice it to say, Mayor Adrian Fenty and all members of the DC City Council except Carol Schwartz and Phil Mendelsohn are in violation of DC’s constitution, its “Home Rule Act; Public Law 93-198; 87 Stat. 777; D.C. Code § 1-201", and if they will trample over the voters' rights on this issue, what other rights will they take away without a blink of an eye.

WINNING THROUGH VOTE TAMPERING, THE FENTY WAY
Psycho posted a topic in District of Columbia Politics
WINNING THROUGH VOTE TAMPERING, THE FENTY WAY Did Adrian Fenty win the mayoral race with the help of John Falcicchio or was his win really the result of vote tampering. What we mean by vote tampering is. It is no hidden secret that Fenty guaranteed Alice Miller who is the Director of the DC Board of Elections and Ethics that her job would be secure if he wins, and at the same time, Alice Miller knew that Linda Cropp would have her replaced. Alice Miller had all the reason to co-operate in an act of vote tampering to put Fenty over the top to secure her own job future and not be forced out like Wilma Lewis was in a dirty way by Fenty, as Fenty has gone after everyone like a psychotic pit-bull dog who did not support him or he feared would not do as he wishes. Vote Tampering by Alice Miller came easily for three reasons: 1. Each ballot that was cast did not have a “Ballot No#” that could be linked to each voter; 2. The actual count of the ballots were done by Alice Miller and others in cahoots with the plan to stuff the box sort to say which was done by Miller by having in her office a large number of ballots that never made their way to the polls, ballots that had already been clicked off [X] Fenty which would replace votes one to one for the other candidates that were cast; and 3. This simple and non-traceable ballot system made it easy to stuff the ballot box sort to say, leave no evidence and all Miller had to do was to quickly dispose of those real ballots for the other candidates that had been replaced with [X] Fenty ballots as long as the number of ballots matched the number of voters who signed off at the polls. Far fetched you might say but not so far fetched. Fenty was buying off everyone along the way even Linda Cropp’s campaign manager Phyllis Jones who saboteged Linda Cropp, and her reward for doing such was to quietly become a “Special Assistant” to Fenty. The way Fenty won was the same way Muriel Bowser won! Alice Miller is no stranger to dishonesty on the job. Read DC Inspector General’s report on Alice Miller & Company, Click here > The Report The current system now in place down at the DC BOEE makes it possible for any election to be easily rigged, leave no evidence and there is little or no way to prove foul. As easily as Fenty bribed his way to victory, the truth of what happened was just as easily bought from those in the know. -

Saturday, April 28, 2007 Hon. Jim Graham Council of the District of Columbia 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Suite 105 Washington, DC 20004 Re: Rent Control Dear Jim, Outside of Dorothy Brizill, nobody is more critical of the DC City Council than I and unapologetically so. Since you have been the most vocal on the issue of rent control, I would challenge you to propose legislation that would improve the lives of renters in DC drastically. Despite the recent claim in the local media how great the economy is in the Metro DC area, it is not that great. The truth is, 42% of the people in Metro DC according to NBC 4 TV are living paycheck to paycheck, and 35% would face eviction if they lost their jobs as unemployment income would not be enough. Click here …. http://video.nbc4.com/player/?id=96023 What is the cause of people living paycheck to paycheck? Well ask Mayor Fenty! It is his good friends who are bleeding all of us into the poor house! We are talking about Fenty's buddies in the real-estate (developers) industry who keep on gouging people with unjustifiable rents, condos that go for more than a four bedroom house, but this is the price we all pay when developers have to kick out big money for politicos like Adrian Fenty, Muriel Bowser, Mary Cheh and those fat checks and freebies they got. Yet, our rents or mortgages go up 5.5% a year but our pay only goes up 1.75% and it has been at this pace for the last eighteen (18) years. It is rents and nothing else that is hurting DC, and rents have been the tool the gentrification to chase minorities and the poor out. (DC Rent Control should be fixed at yearly increases not that of the CPI + 2% but at 1.75% which is the average annual wage increase for a worker). The truth is, it has been the Democrats on the DC City Council who intentionally allowed rents to skyrocket while talking out of the other side of their mouths how much they care about the middle class and poor! Yet the unfairness of our DC City Council to line the pockets of the rich at the expense of the middle class and poor is seen in their voting themselves a $24,000 a year wage increase because of higher rents and so on, but they did not vote for any of "us" to get a $24,000 a year wage increase so we can meet our rent increases. What you did of recently was wholly insufficient to combat back breaking rents and their brutal increases that are 4 time greater than wage increases! I challenge you to do better! Respectfully, Jonathan R. Rees

Fenty may be a far cry from taking over our schools. Will Congress allow him to bypass a referendum which is outlined in the Home Rule Act as a requirement for a change?

ROBERT BOBB vs. ADRIAN FENTY While Mayor Fenty is still far from asking the US Congress to amend the DC Home Rule Act to allow him control of the DC Public Schools as he must do more than just get the backing on the DC City Council, what is DC School Board President Robert Bobb doing to railroad Fenty's goal. Rest assured, Bobb does not want to yeild any power over the schools to Fenty so we must ask, what is Bobb doing behind the scenes to convince the US Congress that a mayoral take over is not necessary as the US Congress will allow Bobb to argue why the DC Home Rule Act should not be amended. The US Congress when drafting the DC Home Rule Act believed that keeping the public schools out of the hands of the mayor and city council would be in the best interest of the children so that our schools would not be pawns in a game of political chess. Thus, Fenty has both a congressional bias and the ability of Bobb to contend with to achieve control of the schools.

A bill giving the District its first full seat in Congress cleared the House yesterday, marking the city's biggest legislative victory in its quest for voting rights in nearly three decades. The bill faces considerable obstacles. Democrats don't appear to have enough votes in the Senate to avoid a filibuster, and the White House has threatened a veto. If the measure becomes law, it probably will be challenged in court. It is reported that between four to seven conservative Democrats in the Senate will not be supporting voting rights for the District of Columbia. We oppose voting rights for the District because of the constitutionality of such, and because it is not ordinary citizens who seek “this” vote but the Gay Community who has cleverly masked their real agenda behind the call for voting rights, and they have funded groups like DC Vote to achieve their un-Godly agenda. Between a Senate filibuster, a Senate vote, a Presidential veto and a federal court review, the odds that DC will get a vote in Congress is highly unlikely.

SAY NO TO A VOTE FOR DC IN CONGRESS To: All Members of the United States Congress (Emailed & Faxed 4-17-2007) Re: Same Sex Marriage in the District of Columbia Dear Congressional Member: We are opposed to granting the District of Columbia a vote in the United States House of Representatives because we are opposed to the granting of the right to same sex marriage point blank, as it would be in opposition to the laws of God. DC Vote which you probably know is in fact a finger on the hand of the “Gay Lobby” in the District of Columbia where most of its leaders are Gay, Lesbian or Bi-Sexual overtly or covertly which was started by the well known bi-sexual, Joseph Sternlieb. The hidden agenda behind why DC Vote seeks a vote in the US House of Representatives is because they and their supporters, the “Gay Lobby” sees “this” vote as being paramount to ushering in GAY MARRIAGE in the District of Columbia. This is not our word for it but the words of Mr. Richard Rosendall, VP for Political Affairs for the Gay, Lesbian Activist Alliance of Washington, DC, as he made this fact clear in the local newspaper known as Washington Metro Weekly in the March 15, 2007, edition when Rosendall is quoted as saying: When will it be time to push a (gay)marriage bill in D.C.? GLAA's legislative maven, Bob Summersgill, suggests prerequisites like these: The Davis-Norton bill granting D.C. a full vote in the House. This will still leave us unrepresented in the Senate, but will give us far more leverage than we have now. Passage of budget autonomy, so that D.C.'s locally-funded budget is not subject to undemocratic congressional amendments. Passage of legislative autonomy, so that D.C.'s locally-passed laws are not subject to routine congressional review before taking effect. Once several states (say six) have adopted same-sex marriage, Congress's meddling impulse might be tempered if D.C. follows (rather than leads) the trend. The point is not to wait until there is no risk, but until we have a fighting chance. If you are outraged at the second-class status of gay families, please work with GLAA, Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton and allies like D.C. Vote to win the next battles. Instead of looking for shortcuts or fighting one another, let's press ahead smartly together. The District of Columbia per the gay publication The Advocate is now the USA’s third largest gay community in the United States per capita and growing as gays see DC as being the best place for achieving the goal of same sex marriage. Please vote no to granting the District of Columbia a vote in the United States House of Representatives!

MAYOR FENTY A MODERN DAY JULIUS CEASAR Everybody from Gary Imhoff down the line seems to feel that members of our city council are off their rockers for supporting Fenty’s take over of our schools for a wide variety of reasons but more so, because it cannot succeed. Did it every occur to anyone that members of our city council know that Fenty will fail and that their vote is not for the benefit of Fenty, but to hasten his departure from office and to insure that he cannot win a second term? There is no doubt that Vincent Gray wants to be mayor and so does David Catania. It is a burning desire in their hearts. What better way is there for mayoral hopefuls to become mayor than to sabotage the cornerstone of a sitting mayor’s administration! What we are suggesting is, Mayor Fenty is DC’s Julius Ceasar and Vincent Gray and David Catania will be his Mark Anthony and Brutus, and they be joined in time by other members of the DC City Council (Roman Senate) to help in the political assassination of Fenty. In sum good people consider this as the basis of what is to come. Just last year it was no hidden secret and pointed out by many newspapers that most on the council did not like Fenty, did not get along with him and he was the odd man out. So what has really changed? Nothing! So should we really believe that all these council members have changed and now love Fenty or are they supporting him in order to destroy him?

COME GET HAPPY WITH THE INEVITABLE FAILURE OF FENTY
Psycho replied to Psycho's topic in District of Columbia Politics
Karl, Why would Congress set up DC for a laugh is a better question. It is bad enough we had a crack head major but now we have a boy with his toys. I can't tell which one is the lesser evil. A better question is, why did DC voters vote in just nuts rather than go with candidates who were more honest even if they were a bit ho hum? -
COME GET HAPPY WITH THE INEVITABLE FAILURE OF FENTY There is no doubt in the minds of many that the Fenty Administration will turn out to be an utter disaster and we can’t wait to watch him and his whole administration fall on its face! We are hoping the inevitable failure of Fenty will usher back in a new Control Board or even the abolishing of Home Rule and/or DC Government so that DC can return to a place where decent people can live and not have day after day immorality shoved in its face by corrupt leaders, morally depraved and politically correct types who have no respect for God and family. It's going to happen so get ready for it and come get happy! Enjoy this > http://Use Full URL address/387jon

DC VOTE THE LOBBYING HANDS OF THE GLBT COMMUNITY As stated in a previous blog thread that there was a covert but strong fear on Capitol Hill that giving DC a vote in Congress would strengthen the hands of Homosexuals (DC Vote) and begin to usher in same sex marriage and more was not just our word for it, an unfound fear on Capitol Hill but The Gay and Lesbian Activist Alliance has linked gay rights but specifically the right for same sex marriage to DC achieving a vote in Congress as a start when Richard J. Rosendall of the GLAA wrote on 3-15-2007 as published in the Metro Weekly Newspaper the follow: ________________________________ When will it be time to push a marriage bill in D.C.? GLAA's legislative maven, Bob Summersgill, suggests prerequisites like these: The Davis-Norton bill granting D.C. a full vote in the House. This will still leave us unrepresented in the Senate, but will give us far more leverage than we have now. Instead of looking for shortcuts or fighting one another, let's press ahead smartly together. _________________________________ The point we are making is, members of Congress that fear that the GLBT people of DC are behind the push for a congressional vote as a means of achiving all desired rights for GLBT people in DC is not just an unwarranted fear but is supported by things put in writing by the leaders of the various GLBT organizations in DC like GLAA and the HRC. Unless you are totally blind, DC Vote started by Joe Sternlieb and DC Appleseed started by his wife Linda Singer are fingers on the hands of the GLBT community, their rank and file are overwhelming GLB and T. As long as there are far too many on Capitol Hill who believe voting rights in the District is a GAY THING this will be a major roadblock and maybe non-GLBT people need to ask the GLBT community to back out of the fight and let non-GLBT people carry the football because the GLBT presence behind the scenes for a vote in Congress is so strong it scares Congress although they will never come out and say it.

WITH FRIENDS LIKE HER, WHO NEEDS ENEMIES Ward 3 Council Member Mary M. Cheh who claims to be a liberal, progressive and caring Democrat hit the ground running on January 2, 2007, to move to enrich big business but not the middle class nor the poor of DC. Cheh besides taking a $500 bribe from Merck & Company to mandate that all teenage girls of a set age range be required to be inoculated with Gardasil which will effectively put $27,000,000.00 in the pockets of Merck, Merck will be greatly appreciative of that next time Cheh runs for re-election. ( If your daughter(s) should get sick or suffer side effects from Gardasil, you should immediate sue Mary Cheh (in her individual capacity), DC Government and Merck because Cheh does not have 11th Amendment Immunity from suit. ) Cheh’s next goal is to put $100,000,000.00 in the pocket of local developers like PN Hoffman Company who graciously gave her a dirt cheap campaign office in the highest commercial rent district in the District of Columbia, and she plans on doing this by voting in favor of a mayoral take over of our schools which will result in schools being closed and condos being built on those lands, contracts to developers to re-build and more. Next time round, PN Hoffman Company will be so grateful they might just give Cheh free office space for her 2010 campaign headquarters. The foregoing are just two things Cheh is doing to enrich the rich all the more, but so far, her liberal, progressive and caring philosophy hasn’t done nor is their any plan(s) on her table to do a thing for anyone who is not already rich. Cheh's support in ward 3 came from voters who are just as greedy, evil and phony as she is, and also just as racist! Between Cheh, Fenty and others, DC is in trouble.

HEY FENTY, WHERE'S THE BEEF? Many in DC have come to realize that when Mayor Fenty ran for mayor he had a lot of ideas but none of them had any substance to them. Three months into the Fenty Administration, Fenty is still harping on a long string of ideas but none of them have any real substance to them Mayor Fenty's 100 Day Plan & Beyond reminds us of this Wendy's commercial below; namely, Fenty ideas is a giant bun and his lack of any real plan is the beef or lack thereof. DC Voting Rights March on April 16
Psycho replied to Luke_Wilbur's topic in District of Columbia Politics
NO VOTE FOR DC! I favor the abolishing of Home Rule for DC and returning complete control of the District to the Feds. DC is a laughing stock, has the most corrupt government in the USA and should never be given independence from its daddy, the Feds. People need to see the truth about DC Government and how shameful it really is compared to the governments of the states around it. -
THREE STRIKES & FENTY IS OUT! With the US Court of Appeals, DDC reversing the long standing and unsuccessful handgun band in the District of Columbia, the obvious defeat of voting rights in Congress for the District and more than likely a defeat for amending the "Hole Rule Act" to allow a mayoral take over of our schools, it is self-evident that Mayor Adrian Fenty who said he was going to bat for the District of Columbia is about to be called out on three strikes. We are so happy to see this defeat of Fenty, DC Vote and others that we already have Champagne on ice in our political locker-room. The upcoming defeat is bittersweet after all the lies told, the rotten things done to those who opposed and all of this is a sign that DC is being forced back to the political center and off its Marxist agenda.
-
THE NEW HOWDY DOODY SHOW DC STYLE In light of a possible set back in voting rights for the District, Mayor Fenty and City Administrator Dan Tangherlini will go one more time to Capitol Hill to convince law-makers to pass some kind of voting rights for the District. Yet, both plan on going about this on a lighter note and be themselves. As such, while it may appear to Congress that Mayor Fenty is doing the talking, it will soon be learn that it was Dan Tangherlini all along and that Dan Tangherlini is really the mayor.
-
Karl, Vincent Gray has changed over the years and this may be due to his quest for more political power as I know he wants to be mayor. Vincent's brother-in-law has told me that I am now what Vincent was years ago; namely, a fighter for what is right but often the thirst for powers makes men abandon things.
-
Nice to meet you Karl. My birth name is Giovani Luchese but changed it to Jonathan Rees after immigrating to the USA. Grew up in NYC and came to DC after completing my MBA. I understand where you are coming from. Possibly my postings are based upon limited or one sided research or at minimum, based upon the current matters in the media.

BLAME VINCENT GRAY FOR MY BLOG I would never have come to Washington, DC many moons ago to accept a job with the World Bank - International Monetary Fund if it had not been for the efforts of DC City Council Chairman Vincent Gray, his deceased wife and her family. Vincent Gray is your Dr. Frankenstein and I am his monster. Vincent taught me to be honest, straight shooting and never pull punches or I would be the one laying on my back.
-
Karl, Again, I am not the only person and many are far more respected in DC than I who are saying the same thing. As I said in another posting, you need to start making it a daily diet of reading all the local newspapers who are saying what I am. Have a great tomorrow whomever you really are!
-
I suggest Karl that you start reading the Washington Post, Washington City Paper and others who have in fact called Fenty and the others racists in their past and present actions. Start with this article Karl > http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/columns/looselips/ and then hit the many other publications that support all I have said. Until then Karl, have a nice day!
