Thank you for supporting the arts, see you at the show. About Tony Rock: Born in the same Brooklyn New York Hospital where most of his seven brothers and one sister found their way into the world, Tony Rock, not to be confused with his favorite wrestler, was born laughing. Being the fourth child, of Rose and Julius Rock, Tony had a natural knack for entertaining, just like his brother, Chris Rock. He had to, to stay alive. Decatur Street in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood, where he grew up, was one of the toughest that New York had to offer. It also provided a host of rich characters on which to draw. Tony has been performing for the last four years. After just six months in the business, his first booking on the road lead him to Amsterdam. No, not to Amsterdam, New York, Amsterdam, Netherlands, where he became a more popular figure than "Ed Joost Swarte". Upon returning to New York, Tony gained a reputation as a young star in the making. The Hollywood Reporter in 2001 picked him as one of the hot young talents to come out of New York. People Magazine featured Tony in their July 7, 2003 Issue. Since February 2000, he's become bi-coastal. When in New York, he's a regular at the famous Comic Strip, Caroline"s and Stand-Up New York. When in Los Angeles, He's a regular at the Comedy Store, Improv and Icehouse and he headlines at the Laugh Factory. In April 2001, he co-starred in an ABC/Disney Pilot, "Me and My Needs". In July 2001, he hosted an MTV pilot, "It's Your Show". In 2002, Tony hosted Comedy Central's successful "Battle Botts"; in 2003, Tony hosted Oxygen's "Can You Tell". In April 2003, Tony landed the Jada Pinkett Smith/Will Smith pilot for UPN "All of Us" (2003). The series, which was picked up in the Fall of 2003, has been picked up for the Fall 2005 Season. In June 2004, Tony was featured in Will Smith's movie, Hitch (2005/I). Besides touring the country, a highlight for Tony was when he came home to New York to headline with Mark Curry and John Henton at Harlem's world famous Apollo Theater. www.dcimprov.com

Jake Johannsen, the self confessed raconteur of weird stories, makes his DC Improv comeback June 25th thru 29th. Here's the breakdown: Start with a subtle and intelligent comedy style, add four cups of convoluted stories, lightly stir with bizarre observations and add a pinch of dementia. One of the finest and more cerebral comics around, Jake is a regular on David Letterman with over forty appearances and he has been on "The Tonight Show" more than ten times. His HBO special "This'll Take About An Hour" was critically acclaimed and earned Jake an Ace Award nomination for Best Writing in an Entertainment Special. www.dcimprov.com

Jeff Caldwell is known to audiences nationwide as a clean, clever comedian with one of the brightest standup acts around. Whether at a comedy club or a corporate event, Jeff delivers smart, funny jokes on topics ranging from the daily news to the daily grind, subtly tailoring his material to fit any crowd. CBS got wise to Jeff, scooping him up to develop his own sitcom. He's recently appeared on "The Late Show with David Letterman," made his second appearance on "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" and made his Comedy Central debut on "Live at Gotham." Jeff also makes appearances on national news and political talk shows, on XM Radio, and is a regular on the nationally syndicated "Bob and Tom" radio show. Funny and smart. That s what George Carlin had to say about Jeff Caldwell after a show at Caroline s in New York. This guy is incredible, said Dennis Miller. CBS showed that they agreed with George and Dennis by giving Jeff a deal to develop his own sitcom. www.dcimprov.com

Patrice got his first real taste of stand-up at a place called Estelle's in Boston. He was heckling a comic, and the comic suggested maybe Patrice thought he could do better. Patrice did and the following week he went on stage at Estelle's and brought down the house. From there he went on to work at the Comedy Connection, then moved to working at most of the clubs in and around Boston, New England, and New York. Now, years later, Patrice has a wide range of comic tools. In one bit, Patrice, at 6'5'' and 300+ lbs., makes the audience hear and almost see the story of the eastern European gymnast quietly speaking of her difficult upbringing and training. The Boston Globe said, "It is a hilarious piece made all the more so by the contradiction between Oneal's very visible presence and that of the young white girl he is playing." Asked to whom he aspires, Patrice mentions only two names: George Carlin and Richard Pryor. Carlin for his distinct point of view and universal appeal; Pryor for his honesty, vulnerability and Personal revelation. Patrice has appeared on "The Late Show with Conan O'Brien" three times and was a regular on the very popular, Comedy Central's Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn. He has also performed stand-up at both the prestigious Montreal Just For Laughs and the HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. Additionally Patrice has Guest Starred on numerous Television Shows including FOX s critically acclaimed Arrested Development and NBC s The Office . He was also a series regular on FOX s drama, The Jury. You can hear him voicing the animated shows Shorties Watchin Shorties on Comedy Central and O Grady High on Noggin. Catch Patrice in the films "The 25th Hour" directed by Spike Lee, "In The Cut" with Meg Ryan and "Head Of State" with Chris Rock. Patrice has also performed half hour specials on both Showtime and Comedy Central. Be sure to check out Patrice in his latest special, his own HBO One Night Stand half hour special airing late this summer.

Jeffrey Ross a.k.a. "The Roastmaster General" is one of the most well respected comics working today. He has had many show-stopping performances at celebrity roasts honoring America's favorite stars such as William Shatner, Hugh Hefner, Donald Trump, Pamela Anderson and Emmet Smith inspired New York Magazine to crown him "The Meanest Man in Comedy". Last year, Jeff served as a judge on ABC's summer reality series, "The Next Best Thing", and is currently touring the country doing stand-up. Jeff's directorial debut, "Patriot Act: A Jeffrey Ross Home Movie" screened at many top festivals including South by Southwest, the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, The New York Comedy Festival, The Hampton's Film Festival, the G.I. Film Festival, and even won Best Picture at the Montreal Comedy Festival. Jeff's "home movie" captures his life-changing experience entertaining U.S. troops stationed around Iraq during the early days of the U.S. Occupation. The New York Times reviewer declared Jeff, "...if not a hero, than someone who at least did his small part". The New York Post gave the film a perfect four out of four star review and declared it, "...the best documentary to emerge from the Iraq war so far". General Richard Meyers, Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff, said Jeff's film was... "...funny and poignant -- every American should see it". "Patriot Act: A Jeffrey Ross Home Movie" aired on Showtime in honor of Memorial Day and is now available on DVD. As a comic, Jeff has appeared on dozens of TV shows including David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, Jay Leno, Carson Daly, The View, The Today Show, HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher, MSNBC's "Countdown with Keith Olberman", and "CNN's Glen Beck". Jeff also continues to perform stand up regularly at charity benefits and for U.S. soldiers stationed all over the world. Jeff recently co-created and starred in MTV's highly irreverent and controversial animated series "Where My Dogs At?" in which he and "30 Rock's" Tracy Morgan play stray dogs wandering around Hollywood making fun of celebrities. Eventually the show pissed off so many people they had to pull the plug. Jeff has also written for the Oscars, the MTV Video Music Awards, and many comedy series including "The Man Show" on Comedy Central. Jeff has done a number of dramatic turns on such awesome shows as "Weeds", "Six Feet Under" and "C.S.I.". In film, he has appeared in the Farrelley Brothers' "Stuck on You", and the critical sensation, "The Aristocrats". Jeff is originally from New Jersey. Now he lives in New York and Los Angeles but still vacations in New Jersey because he's addicted to the smell. Jeff graduated with a degree in broadcasting and film and a minor in political science from Boston University. He got his black belt in karate at 10 1/2 years old. Since I was eleven, being a standup comic is all I ever wanted to be. I actually thought it was a noble profession. I remember being a kid and watching Rickles and Hackett on the tube, reading the My Favorite Jokes column at the back of parade magazine every Sunday, listening to Carlin, Pryor and Cheech and Chong records with my little brother, going to Woody Allen movies, and staying up late on Saturdays to see the first season of SNL. To me being a comic meant to be autonomous, angry, truthful, and funny. It meant being alive and present in the moment. It meant having the freedom to figure out and then be who I am in the purest way and do it shamelessly in front of people, impose it on them and try to blow some minds in the process. It meant avoiding the soul death of the day job. Being a comic entitled me to live like a fraking gypsy until something clicked, and if it didn..t, who knows? I..ve been fortunate to have a few dispersed clicks throughout what I guess has been a show biz career of relative obscurity but with a real freedom from the bondage of mediocrity. I have a hard time describing what I do or what I am up there on the stage. I..ve been called: neurotic, a story teller, heady, cerebral, angry, brilliant, bad, a problem, a cultural critic, a satirist, fraking funny, an important voice, etc. Recently a young woman who had just seen me came out on to the street, came up to me, excited, and said, ..You were really great. You..re like Woody Allen... Of course, I found a way to make that a negative and said, ..Really, I think I..m a little angrier than Woody Allen... In response she said, ..You..re like an Iggy Pop Woody Allen... I liked that. I think if that helps you understand what I do, it..s a reasonable description of where I'm at lately. So, that being said, I am first and foremost a stand up comic. I have appeared on TV, in film, on the stage, in print, on the radio, but all I ever wanted to be, and what I am now, is a stand up comic. I..ve appeared on just about every show that allows standup comics. www.dcimprov.com

Incredibly entertaining! Ask anyone who has seen Gabriel Iglesias in concert and you will probably hear the same thing, "He was so funny!" Gabriel Iglesias was born in San Diego July 15th 1976. The youngest of six children, he spent his first five years living on the eastside of Chula Vista. By the age of eight Gabriel and his mother were on there own and making a fresh start in the city of Long Beach. One night Gabriel's mother took him to the local video store where he rented a comedy tape starring Eddie Murphy. Two weeks after he saw the tape he was motivated to audition for his 5th grade talent show. A week later he was the hit of the show. To his surprise, Gabriel's silly voices and characters left the audience in stitches. It was at that moment that his dream of becoming a comedian was born. Eleven years later, a friend of his pushed a very scared Gabriel Iglesias onto a stage for the first time in over a decade. April 10th of 2002 marked the six year anniversary of the day Gabriel made his dream of becoming a comedian a reality. Gabriel's style of comedy is a mixture of story telling with character's and sound effects that bring his issues to life. His amazing ability to cross over with his clean animated style of comedy has made him a big demand in all markets. www.dcimprov.com

Currently the host of the hit show "Cash Cab" on Discovery Channel, Ben Bailey started out as a class clown. Little did he know when he was getting thrown out of class for being a smart-ass, that he was really training for his future career. Never quite able to fit into the so called regular routine Bailey moved to California when he was twenty-one to find out what he could or would do with his life. After looking for work for a few months he finally landed a job answering the phones at "The Comedy Store" on Sunset Boulevard. One night after work he had a few drinks and watched a show. After the show Ben hung around a while and got to swapping stories with some of the comedians. His story must have been a good one, because one of the guys who heard it asked him how long he'd been doing stand-up and invited him to perform on his show that Friday night. Petrified; Bailey said no, but luckily the guy left his number. The next afternoon it occurred to Bailey that he really had nothing going on, ...maybe this was what he was looking for. He anxiously called and agreed to do the show. That Friday Ben performed for the first time, and when he got his first laugh, he was hooked. Ten years later Bailey has performed all over the world, done his own 1/2 hour special on Comedy Central, landed a recurring role on the classic soap "One Life To Live" and been seen on The Tonight Show w/Jay Leno, The Late Late show with Craig Kilborn, Last Call with Carson Daly, Comedy Central's Premium Blend, The World Stands Up, and Tough Crowd w/Colin Quinn. He has performed at the Aspen Comedy Arts Festival in 2002 and again in 2004 while promoting the movie "Bad Meat" in which he plays an FBI agent. He has appeared at the Edinburgh Festival in 2000 and again in 2004 as well as the Masters show at the Montreal Just for Laughs festival in 2005. Bailey has guest starred on the shows Hope & Faith on ABC, Law and Order SVU and MAD TV. He is a favorite at the clubs in New York, and he is quickly making a name for himself in the Big Apple, across the country and abroad. www.dcimprov.com

Probably no single event is more indicative of the success of Robert Klein than his first sold-out concert at Carnegie Hall in 1973, The First Annual Robert Klein Reunion. For nearly two hours, Klein knocked out his audience with his high-energy comedy and comment. The critics raved, and Klein affirmed his place as a major personality in contemporary entertainment and as an influence on a whole generation of comedians. To say that Klein's show business career has been varied would be an understatement. He has been a regular guest on The Tonight Show for over twenty years, and has guest-hosted the show on numerous occasions. He also appears regularly on "Late Show with David Letterman" and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." Klein also hosted "Saturday Night Live" twice, and starred in the first "Cheeseburger" sketch with John Belushi and Dan Akroyd.
