As someone that runs a number of Yahoo groups, and posts with my real name, I can tell you that in fact finding the IP number of someone posting is not that hard hence no need to hide behind a fake name. Just go to the bottom of the email and click on full headers. The way TCP/IP works is that each message has to come from a node and that node is given some form of ip address.
