Hello Rosemary,

The ladies in my online photo ablum are not bi-racial to my knowledge but all but three has relaxed hair. I use a very ethinic type of Indian hair that works well with African American relaxed hair. I have a several natural clients that I am able to match (kinky curl texture) and my natural hair is wavy so don't rule out fusion yet, I need to see your hair. Another option is a weave and my asisstant/student is one of the best as a matter of fact and to my suprise (because she didn't tell me) her work is profiled in the April 2006 edition of Sophisticate's Black Hair magazine (Mary J Blige dressed in red on the cover)....Seven pages from the back of the book on the right..Her name is Brandi Reniece. She is a great specialist and humble young lady. Email me if you want her information or to send a picture of your hair for my view....

OH MY GOODNESS LADIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You may be tired of me saying this over and over again but I must say it again. BE VERY CAREFUL!!!!

I found a forum and started posting. I was asked a question about my distributer info and I told them that I didn't give out that information because I didn't want to be responsible for imposters using the products and destroying the clients hair, I can't stop it but I don't have to help them do it. Well that did it, I was the enemy from that point on. They HATED me. I explained to the ladies that my knowledge extends far beyond my distributer's info but they didnot want to hear that, all they heard was the imposter comment and I wondered why? Well, they first cut the thread that I was posting on and that was ok, I then found a thread that one of the girls (that dogged me) started. I now understand. This forum is for girls that has NO training and self-taught I didn't know that at first. She admitted that she has NO training (Not even basic haircare training) AND she proudly posted pictures of her work and it was BEYOND HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!! The bonds where not properly placed to say the least, and the other ladies told her it was good work. I COULDN'T BELEIVE IT!!!! I told the other girls if they where her friend they would be honest with her but you know that fell on deaf ears (birds of a feather and all) I did feel a little better when I found out that most of these ladies live in another country BUT there are a few American ladies posting as well. These ladies are using clients as test dummies and mannequins I WAS SHOCKED!!!! Needless to say I commented on the fact that training should be required (but was told it was not in their country) I then asked why they felt they where above the rest of us with training? How can you self-teach on a subject you know nothing about? And of course I got the imposters NO.1 response. This is not rocket science. LADIES if you don't know what you are doing it is rocket science, but of course in this case you got the blind leading the blind. My status now? I have been banned from the website (imagine that) but before I was banned and they cut my thread I noticed they cut the page that I exposed them for who and what they are, I told the ladies to grow up and get over it because I refuse to allow them to mis-lead you. I'm also sure that my final post where deleted. I want to take time out and again say, the work I viewed was not right. The bonds are not properly placed, this gives a stair step effect and there is no way this can be blended. LADIES THIS IS WORK WITHOUT PROPER TRAINING.... Just keep in mind if you just happen upon this site that there are alot of uncertified people posting (not all) but alot. The forum is:

hairboutique.com (they don't justify a link)

Thank You

To my fellow U.S stylist and/or Imposters, who has viewed or posted on that forum,

The one point that they made that is correct is that the laws are not the same in their country....Please don't get caught up in that. In this country that kind of work leads to a law suit and for good reason. As much as I hate to admit, and although I am against it I must respect the fact that she did say and published that she tell her clients up front that she is not certified or trained on ANY haircare level. But that means she can use these ladies as test dummies and/or mannequins and get away with it, that actually takes the heat off her BUT it doesn't work like that here. We are held responsible for damages and/or poor service, (or in some cases we should) and will. I believe that everthing happens for a reason. That is why as much as this experiance bothered me, it was a GREAT learning experiance for me. I know what is out there, but this takes it to another level. They justify doing horrible work and hate anyone that call them on it, they feel justified because this is what they are use to. WOW!!!! how scary and unfortunate but VERY TRUE, BE AFRAID!!!!....These are the kind of people that destroy our business and make it hard for us all. Thank Goodness today most American clients do research and are too smart to put up with such unacceptable behavior....PLEASE get proper training or at least basic haircare training. Please don't allow this type of forum encourage you to take the lazy way out. You need to LOVE the business (not the money) Education should motivate you to the point that every tiny bit of information given should be a gem. The next step is to make that gem as brilliant as possible until you are blessed with the next gem, also keep in mind those gems are earned not given.

Thank You

Thank you so much again! :D Here's a picture of me with fusion and cut by Reniece. (She's amazing also)

I personally think there needs to be more focus on this. There is a reason that more states are pushing to make sure that people who work on hair are certified. Even proper training does not promise you that the person will be knowledgable in how to do all types of hair or how to treat a problem that your hair might have or more importantly recognize when your own hair has a problem and when you should not get a process done on your hair.

I can personally tell of several of my clients that have had not only their extension hair ruined but also their real hair damaged. We are finding that some stylist have no clue how to correctly do hair extensions with Virgin Remy Hair.

I know some people are looking at trying to cut cost on getting their hair done, but one of the reason you invest in a great stylist is give you not only a better chance of getting your hair done right and well, but also that if there IS a problem, that stylist will be able to save your hair and correct any problem you have.

I know there are uncertified people that do wonderful work, but I feel that they take a big risk in doing hair without being certified. Certified stylist are even being sued now a days when people have problems with the process or the style.

Hi Valencia, I need your advice. I did a lot of research to find a really well qualified fusion specialist. After I got my fusion done, everyone thought it looked really good, she had done a nice job. Since I travel a lot for my job, I sent a note about 2 weeks after I got my fustion done from out of town, where I also received great comments. I am not sure if she received my compliments and appreciation that I gave her, because It had not heard back from her. But now I am at a dilema because as her client, she will not respond back to me in order to have maintenance done, or even more to go ahead and take them out since maintenance is long overdue. I have to wear my hair back in one because i dont want my hair to pull out, since it is now shedding. Since for some reason my fusion specialist kicked me to the curb, for what reason I dont know. I was wondering your opinion, because I felt comfortable with her and I do know that not everyone knows how to properly care for fusioned hair and remove it without damage. Have any recommendations? :(

Hello Ladies,

I want to take the time to apologize to everyone that e-mailed and/or called me a few weeks ago and got a late response. Most clients know that I work pretty much everyday on some level and know that I try to respond to everyone within a reasonable time. Most important I want to THANK YOU for all the words of care and concern for my well being, I can't tell you how much that means to me. I caught some kind of flu that is going around and it knocked me off my feet....I couldn't move for three days. It forced me to step back, take some time off to take care of myself. It made me nervous because I rarely get sick and I can't remember the last time I caught a cold of any kind....Well I am back and I feel GREAT, ready to make up for lost time BUT smart enough not to over-do it this time....In other words, I will listen to my clients, family, and friends who has warned me for the past few years....YEAH, you told me so....

Thank You All and God Bless

Valencia

Can you please put a link on your web site to DC Message Boards.com. We appreciate you understanding of cross promotion.

Actually if you had sent me an email, you would see that I have links all over the place for DC messages boards. Not only are the threads listed in every email I send, but it is a part of all three signatures I use in answering emails, Thanks. Also it is listed in Several spots on the Remy hair today forum Which has all the important bits of information the hair or stylist in areas.

The boards get quite a bit of traffic just from the emails I send to people, the reason i know this is because when the boards were down, I got emails about how my links did not work.

:D ATTENTION ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am thinking about producing a hairshow. The main focus will be fusion and extension services with a few suprises here and there 95% of my clientele are trendy but conservative women so there will be no crazy hairstyles or wild fashion shows, mainly education and entertainment....I need your feedback in order to proceed. I started a new thread on this forum (link below) Please respond to that link or the e-mail below....

VALENCIA DID MY FUSION Y'ALL!!!!! IT'S GORGEOUS, I CAN'T STOP TOUCHING IT!!!!!!!!! I'M NEVER GOING BACK TO TRACKS!!!!!

Hi Valencia,

My girlfriend is considering fusion. She's found her own stylist. What type of bond should she get? I know you say no polywax and that keratin bonds are the best, but is there a particular brand of keratin she should require or are all keratins created equal? I'm not sure what bond the stylist uses, but is polywax the only bond she should avoid?

Is it true that microfusions are permanent and have to be cut out or grown out, I read that on Reniece's site under album Full/Partial Weaves (comment under photo 75of 90 "The downside is, it is permanent. It cannot be removed. It has to be cut out or grown out. It's very expensive also and it can take about 3 days with TWO or THREE people working on your head. But the end result is beautiful.")

How is it grown out? How much do you charge for that type of microfusion. If it doesn't have to be cut out only grown out, I want it!!!!

Hello April

I don't know alot about micro-illusions but I do know it takes about a week to complete and it is hard to remove. The reason they say it is permanent is because it can last from 6 months to a year. I don't think they cut it out but I'm told that your hair can be cut by accident during the removal process. And of course it is VERY expensive because of the labor. I use a protein based keritin fusion bond that is easily removed. and there is no chance of cutting your hair and it will not damage the hair with proper care....

I hope this helps

Hello Kya,

I sent a response to your e-mail but I also want to respond here to help others....I don't know alot about this method so I can't in good faith give a negative or positive response. PLEASE do a consultation before having this service done. Ask about hidden cost, maintenance, and removal. Ask them to SHOW you how they remove the extensions, from my understanding it requires knotting the hair and that makes me nervous. Keep me posted.

Thank You for your response

I am a fusion specialist, I would be delighted to answer any questions on the subject of strand by strand hair fusion technique.

It is a hair weaving technique that is undetectable. You can perm and color your hair with the system in place.

IT IS WONDERFUL!!

How long does your hair have to be before you get fusion or polywax.

NO NO NO POLYWAX!!!!! It will rip your hair out and make you bald as an eagle when you try to remove it. Only use keratin fusion sticks. I think your hair has to be an inch and a half, I'll check.

Before I get down to business I want to apologize for all e-mail late replies and to tell all you wonderful ladies to be patient I will hit all e-mails as soon as I can. My mother had tripple bypass heart surgery and I needed to take some time off to tend to her. Thank You for your prayers and kind words, she is doing great and will be up and about very soon....

Now....while I was out I recieved a call from one of my colleagues. One of my former clients posted very negative comments on two message boards. The funny thing is that they were not consistant, at first I was concerned but after reading the comments I said to myself: What a joke....She said on one post that Bohyme hair shed, shed, shed, and that her vacume caught fire because the hair got trapped.

In the second post on another forum she tells the same story but this time she says it was pre-tipped Remy Hair from Remy Hair Today she didn't mention my name but I am telling you it was my work, she also said the the hair was not embedded in the middle of the bond and I thought to myself, those comments sound familiar, and that is because they are mine, I can't believe she used my words against me and on a website that I am hated because I refuse to tell them the name of the products that I use. So which story is accurate? What bothers me is that she waited until I was banned from the hair boutique site before posting and that makes me wonder....

This is why you can't believe everything you hear or read no product or service is above criticism. She found me on this forum and I wish she would post her displeasure on this forum so it can be addressed, I have nothing to lose or hide and I have worked too hard to let such statements go unchallenged.

I attached both of her posts below. On the bhm post I included the post above hers that mentioned Bohyme hair to make it clear that is the product in question, the hb post is clear. I uploaded the actual posts from the forums. check it out and tell me what you think.... Her user name is Carla From Va.

I must say in her defense she did tell me that she was having some shedding and I gave her several fixes but I need to mention that each time she came in her hair was VERY oily, my instructions clearly state that no oils should be present in the hair before the procedure or fusion touch-up's but because she traveled so far I did the procedure and the fix anyway and even after she was an hour and a half late EVERYTIME, against my better judgement (Never Again)....My instructions must be followed TO THE LETTER for optimal results. I am posting this because I want this to be a lesson to myself as well as others. This is a partenership between the two of us, I can advise but I can't control what you do at home.

Thank You

Valencia

Hello Valencia: I think I received an email from one of them.. not sure. I thought it was you though because both of your names begin with a "V". Am I correct? Anywho, I am looking for someone in San Diego who won't charge me a small fortune. But, if you can offer training to those of us w/o knowledge.. please advise. Thank you... but don't worry about all of that.. its ok as long as you know you are doing the right thing.
