Mr Rees Posted May 22, 2006 Report Share Posted May 22, 2006 Bishop Owens a well know member of the clergy felt divinely inspired to call members of his congregation who he felt were not real men **happy people** and SISSIES in a nutshell. This resulted in a firestorm of postings everywhere from DC Wire, City Desk and even a letter from Colbert King to Mayor Williams asking that Williams demand that Bishop Owens apologize. Mayor Anthony A. Williams asked Bishop Alfred A. Owens Jr. to apologize for recent toxic remarks disparaging gay men. Should Bishop Owens apologize?
