The National Prevention Science Coalition (NPSC) is the leading voice in promoting the transformation of knowledge from prevention science into effective and sustainable practices, systems and policies. We work together with legislators, regulators and allied groups to place prevention at the center of important policy debates on trauma, poverty and violence and other critical issues related to inequality, disadvantage and injustice.

We have been working diligently for the last six years to build NPSC into a platform to amplify our members’ voices in framing the narrative on effective prevention responses to the challenges faced by our most vulnerable populations. NPSC has become widely recognized as a leader in disseminating and translating prevention science to policymakers. We do this by creating specific guidance and action steps to make policymakers legislative agendas actionable.

To imbed this process into decision-making, we have launched a Congressional Prevention Policy Caucus on Capitol Hill—with sponsor Rep. Donna Shalala (D-FL) along with other legislative members—to ensure that prevention is at the forefront of national policy and legislation. The Caucus further provides a mechanism for our members to have direct input.

If you are in a position to support us, your voice can help us frame the narrative on effective national responses to the challenges faced by our most vulnerable populations. Annual dues for NPSC are:

  • $149 for working professionals
  • $69 for early career professionals
  • $39 for students
  • $49 for Retirees
  • $500 for institutional members including two individual memberships and a variety of promotional opportunities
