I pressed the "End of Cycle Signal" button for approximately for five seconds and nothing happenned.

I then unplugged for 10 seconds and replugged the dryer, then I pressed the "End of Cycle Signal" button for approximately for five seconds and still nothing happenned.

Anyone have any ideas?

Make sure you are pushing the correct button. It is the button that sets if you want a signal at the end of the cycle. Your choices are louder, softer, and off. Push OFF and hold for 3 seconds and your problem should be solved. Most people try the pause, cancel button. That button will not work.

That locked signal starts if you happen to back into your dryer. I have done that twice. The END OF CYCLE OFF button has worked both times.
