She took the luxury jet that was acquired by her predecessor and sold it on eBay -- made a profit. - John McCain Sarah must have misread her teleprompter speech. Either that or she enjoys making unneccessary lies to the American public. Why Sarah Palin would share a story where she actually did not sell her plane on Ebay. Rather she lost Alaska taxpayers money on the deal to wealthy elites is beyond me. The 23-year-old 10-seat Westwind II was sold in August 2007 for $2.1 million to a Valdez, Alaska, entrepreneur.
