In this election year people like to blame someone for all their woes but we might be blaming the wrong people.

If you are experiencing unemployment, a housing crunch or housing pinch, skyrocketing utilities' cost or whatever, the political leaders to blame are not the ones on Capitol Hill but the ones running your local government.

Yes your local government who has greater influence over job creations in your area, set the rates that utilities can charge, create the environment where housing sells or goes belly up and more are the culprits.

The federal government only has a small hand in what you are experiencing as well reflected in the stark difference from city to city and state to state.

So come November, whomever you vote for on the local level will have a great impact upon your pocketbook.
