Definition of Porch Monkey

The term “porch monkey” was used originally by northerners to describe the lazy southerners and their good ole boy network of political inactiveness. Later on, the term was used by white southerners to describe African Americans.

 

This term while debatable was never a racial slur but many used it in that context.
