Cheh through her overt bigotry for minorites pushed and had legislation passed that was designed to injury minorities and the poor by cutting them off of economic help through pay day loans. The hidden agenda of Cheh was to injure the poor who mainly seek pay day loans to meet their rent, and if she could cut them off of that, it would result in more evictions and the forcing of minorities out of the District so her developer friends could take over buildings and convert them into condos! The good news is, online and Virginia pay day loan companies are boasting record clients from DC. As a matter of fact, ACE Check Cashing Services in Arlington, Virginia is seeing more customers from DC than from northern Virginia and have even waved certain fees and lowered rates to lure District residents over succeesfully. Sad to say but Cheh loses again as she cannot stop interstate commerce via local legislation nor stop DC residents from going across state lines for the money.
