There is an interesting Art Contest organized by Chevrolet Europe

 

Contest Rules

 

In 2008, Chevrolet Europe GmbH, legally based in Stelzenstrasse, 4 – 8152 Glattbrugg (Zurich, Switzerland)

will organize the second edition of Young? Creative? Chevrolet!, a contest for young artists that covers the

following five disciplines:

• photography

• video

• visual arts

• interior design

• fashion

 

Participants

 

This contest is solely open to Applied Arts Schools in 13 countries: Austria, the Baltic states (Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia), Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, Switzerland.

 

Each of these countries will decide in which disciplines it will compete.

 

Participation in the contest is restricted exclusively to students of the partner Applied Arts Schools that will endorse the contest. Furthermore, the contest is restricted to students of under 30 years of age.

 

Each school can participate in one or more disciplines.

 

Staff members of Chevrolet Europe and their families, as well as persons linked to the organization or the

juries cannot participate to the contest.

 

The contest will be declared opened on December 1, 2007. As from that date, Applied Arts Schools can file their application through the http://www.youngcreativechevrolet.eu website and specify the discipline(s) in which they intend to participate.

 

Entries will be closed on March 15, 2008. No participation fee or financial contribution is required to participate in the contest.

 

Prizes

The prize money for each discipline will be as follows:

National level:

• First prize: €1,200

• Second prize: €500

• Third prize: €300

 

European level:

FIRST PRIZE: PHOTOGRAPHY

An amount of €1,000 and a „witness trip“ to the photo shoot for a new Chevrolet product commercial or corporate campaign, where awarded students will have the opportunity to witness how a professional photo shoot is organized and performed.

 

FIRST PRIZE: VIDEO

An amount of €1,000 and a „witness trip“ to the video shoot for a new Chevrolet product commercial or corporate campaign, where awarded students will have the opportunity to witness how a professional video shoot is organized and performed.

 

FIRST PRIZE: VISUAL ARTS

An amount of €1,000 and a weekend with the Chevrolet WTCC racing team at the race in which the car decorated with the winning project will participate. The winning student will have the opportunity to discover all aspects linked with motor sports and with the media and PR activities in conjunction with the decorated car.

 

FIRST PRIZE: INTERIOR DESIGN

An amount of €1,000 and a „full immersion“ of 2 days in a major international motor show, during which the winner will be able to see all aspects related to building the stand (development and implementation of the plans, choice and use of materials, construction and assembly, etc.) and to attend the first press day.

 

FIRST PRIZE: FASHION

An amount of €1,000 and a mini traineeship of 2-3 days with a stylist who has created his/her own label, during either the starting phase of a new collection (choice and purchase of fabrics, start of production, etc.) or during the set-up of a collection exhibition together with other fashion stylists (jewelry, accessories, etc.).

For all disciplines:

• Second prize: €1000

• Third prize: €600

 

Works

The awarded projects will remain the property of Chevrolet Europe, which keeps the right to use them in its communication toward the media, at motor shows, in its dealerships, as well as in media, PR and public events, etc.

 

The projects that were not awarded will be returned to their authors. Chevrolet Europe pledges itself not to engage in trade with the awarded projects. Nevertheless, these projects could be auctioned for charity purposes at the end of the contest.

 

Legal

Participation in Young? Creative? Chevrolet! implies the full and unconditional acceptance of these rules and the waiver of any appeal against Chevrolet Europe.

 

Chevrolet Europe retains the right to modify, prolong or discontinue the contest at any time and for any reason without prior notice.

 

The students will receive the prizes personally.
