DC Comedy Showcase

The DC Improv

Recommended Posts

Closing out its fifth year, The DC Improv's quest to find the greatest unknown local up and coming comedians in the land continues with this installment of young comics who are on the rise to comedy pseudo-stardom. The show features some of the best amateurs and local professional comics on this side of the equator, so don't miss it! The Showcase is part Contest and part Feature show. Last year we sold out all ten shows in the series, so don't wait to see the stars of the future right here at your home club. Get on it sucka. Here's the lineup...

Joyce Rebar, Eli Sairs, Phil Mause, Marcus Brown, Keith Ervin, & John Conroy. You host for the evening will be DC Improv favorite: Jon Mumma.

FORMAT: 4 to 5 contestants perform tight 8 minute sets. They will be hosted and judged by DC celebrities. After the contest portion of the show while the scores are being tallied, the audience is treated to guest sets by amazing local professional comics. The winner of each showcase will be brought back to defend their title for the ultimate prize.

ULTIMATE PRIZE: The prize for the monthly winners is the opportunity to get a guest spot on a featured night here at the Improv. All the winners from each month will then compete for the Grand Prize which is a trip to L.A. to perform at the Hollywood Improv in front of industry giants. That's right, the Improv is an amazing place. Tell your friends.
