This bill was introduced in 2004

 

H.R.4980

Title: To direct the Secretary of the Interior to arrange for the carving of the figure of former President Ronald Reagan on Mount Rushmore National Memorial, and for other purposes.

Latest Major Action: 8/2/2004 House committee/subcommittee actions. Status: Executive Comment Requested from Interior.

 

The National Park Service stated that Mount Rushmore was now too fragile to sustain another carving.
