JOE "SISSY" STERNLIEB LOSES AGAIN

untitled.jpg

Joe "Sissy" Sternlieb who helped create DC Vote for the purpose of seeing the District of Columbia get a vote in Congress took another swifty kick in his crotch when the U.S. Senate voted today to close the debate on legislation that would grant the District a voting seat in the House of Representatives.

I am happy to see the District once again lose this fight because DC should never get a vote in Congress because people knew when they moved here, they would give up certain rights and then did so freely.

Furthermore, why give a vote to the most corrupt government in the United States where the taxpayers' vote means nothing but that of special interest groups does?

Let's break out the champagne and celebrate another kick in Joe "Sissy" Sternlieb's crotch!

Guest Always Red

U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell was right on the mark with his statement.

"I opposed this bill because it is clearly and unambiguously unconstitutional. As the lead Senate Republican co-sponsor of the Help America Vote Act, I have long fought for making it easier to vote and harder to cheat. However, we in this body have a duty to defend the Constitution as the supreme law of the land. If the residents of the District are to get a member for themselves, there remains a remedy: amend the Constitution.”

Article Five describes the process necessary to amend the Constitution. It establishes two methods of proposing amendments: by Congress or by a national convention requested by the states. Under the first method, Congress can propose an amendment by a two-thirds vote (of a quorum, not necessarily of the entire body) of the Senate and of the House of Representatives. Under the second method, two-thirds (2/3) of the state legislatures may convene and "apply" to Congress to hold a national convention, whereupon Congress must call such a convention for the purpose of considering amendments. As of 2007, only the first method (proposal by Congress) has been used.

It funny how you fail to mention what a Republican stated about DC Voting Rights.

If it's so unconstitutional what we've been trying to do, what does the other side have to fear? It will be taken up under expedited review to the Supreme Court of the United States of America. - Orrin Hatch (R-Utah)

Why do persist in name calling. What did Joe Sternlieb do to you to you personally?

blingbling, I was just a waiting for you to blame my group. But look on the bright side? D.C. can always be a part of MaryLand/Virginia.

Anyways look what your side HAS CREATED "A NUCLEAR MIDDLE EAST", and it's not just Iran who is actively looking for nuclear tech this time around. Opening up Pandora's Box is not so easily closed.
