REES vs. DC OFFICE OF CAMPAIGN FINANCE

The DC Office of Campaign Finance as a matter of law is required upon opening an investigation to make a finding, convey that finding to the complainant or seek via the DC Board of Elections additional time as well as inform the complainant that additional time is needed.

I have filed a complaint against Councilwoman Mary M. Cheh for having accepted money and/or in-kind contributions from an allege political action committee subject of this blog and from a local developer, P.N. Hoffman & Company.

The DC Office of Campaign Finance assigned the matter a case number [DC OCF Investigation 2007-101] on February 16, 2007, and is now more than a month late in tendering a report.

I decided that he will hold the DC OCF to the letter of the law and has filed before the DC Court of Appeals a Petition For A Writ of Mandamus to compel DC OCF to play by the rules and has cited previous incidents where they have not for the most part, and have pandered to corrupt government officials.
