  1. The organization known as Parents & Friends of Lesbians & Gays (PFLAG) was created to help parents accept and cope with a child who is lesbian or gay. Why do you think Councilwoman Mary Cheh now boasts about her membership in PFLAG? Didn’t Mary Cheh publicly state during the ward 3 campaign that GLBT issues would not be something she would promote if elected, that it was not an issue in the 2006 elections and that she was not a member of any GLBT organization? Yes she did! Just like Mayor Fenty who never told us until after he was elected that he wanted to take over our schools, Mary Cheh did not tell us that she was a member of PFLAG because one of her daughters is a lesbian and that she would seek full marriage rights for GLBT people. The fact that Mary Cheh has a lesbian daughter is not the issue, but the fact that she lied to voters again about herself and what she would or would not do if elected is. Mary Cheh has told a lot of lies to voters and people are starting to catch on. Does Mary Cheh know what the truth is? Does Mary Cheh know how to be honesty to others? Does Mary Cheh know how to be honest to herself?
  2. WHAT MARY CHEH MIGHT BE THINKING I am working for hard of late to see how many new lies I can create to get out of a mess that I have been accused of by having had my campaign funded and staffed by an illegal political action committee, having accepted upward of around $25k to $50k in an in-kind contribution from PN Hoffman Co., which I never reported to the DC Office of Campaign Finance, not listing any cost associated with my registered campaign/committee headquarters that was located in Ward 4 although I was running for the Ward 3 council seat and more. I am sure all my lawyer friends will help me out of this mess if the DC Inspector General or the US Department of Justice attempts to take action against me. I probably wouldn’t be in this spot if I had not allowed that illegal political action committee Friends of Joe Sternly to harass my political opponents. I never thought that anybody would actually after the fact, back track all I did and said and make issue of my dishonesty, but as a lawyer in DC; I thought I had a license to cheat and lie. I am a perfect example of what people hate politicians and why you should never hire a Harvard Lawyer because we are idiots and do not know what we are doing whereby complete nobody’s like Loose Lips of the City Paper exposes how ignorant of the law(s) I should know I do not. If there is a recall action of my person, then I truly deserve it.
  3. Mayor Adrian Fenty has already proven despite his rhetoric to be the least gay friendly mayor DC has had based up the fact that of all mayors since Barry, he has appointed the least number of GLBT people to his administration. Is this because most GLBT groups in DC endorsed Linda Cropp? ------- Picture of the Metro Weekly cover page was re-created by myself. No copyright on cover page noted.
  4. The people over at DC Vote are the biggest bunch of idiots you could ever meet. With Mayor Fenty accepting Speaker Pelosi’s invite to President Bush’s “State of the Union Address” and snubbing First Lady Bush’, I think it is safe to say that Mayor Fenty isn’t the brightest crayon in the box. Mayor Fenty knew on the issue of a vote in Congress, that Speaker Pelosi was on his side, but he showed his lack of mayoral qualities by snubbing First Lady Bush. Accepting First Lady Bush’s invite would have been a smarter move. Be as it may, I’d rather not pay my $14,800 a year in federal taxes than to have a meaningless vote in Congress as that vote won’t put money in my pocket nor make life any better in DC for its residents, but not having to pay federal taxes makes more sense. BEing exempt from federal taxes would be a super boost to the DC economy but a vote in Congress won't change a thing for the people of DC. The people over at DC VOte again are idiots and so is it founder Joe "Brain Dead" Sternlieb who created in part DC Vote to line his own pockets and use DC Vote to lie to the people.
  5. My mother is about to celebrate her 94th birthday. Momma was an original political activist during the Great Depression.
  6. DC was a whole lot more exciting and fun when Marion Barry was mayor. Bring Barry back as mayor and let's have fun again.
  7. DISCOUNT CASKETS FOR POLITICIANS Just when you thought our political leaders get all the perks that none of us can, you can now add that when they do us a favor by kicking the bucket, they get one last perk from an industry that does lobby them both on the federal and state level. You got it, the funeral industry. I will not name names, but a prominent outlet for caskets outside of Baltimore wants to take the old saying to heart that they will be the last to let you down by making their caskets available to politicos and family members at 1/3rd the price you and I pay.
  8. I hear that there is a B. Frank in DC who is a political lobbyist for Maine's Fisherman. Some fondly call him Popeye. Could our B.Frank DC be him? Indeed a humor is good for the soul.
  9. DC spends more money per student than any other school district in the country, and this has been true for the past 15 years. So why are DC schools some of the worse in the country? Simple...............CORRUPTION. The tax dollars you and I paid that were designated for our children were spent more on those running our schools, over-priced vendors, sub-contractors, greedy developers and more. Most of our tax dollars what were meant to provide better schools, better teaching materials and so on went to buy nice homes for people living in Ward 3, Maryland and Virginia who ripped off our school district with the help of DC Government officials, and I mean, those same government officials who now say they want to fix the problems.
  10. POLITICS & ANTI-SEMITISM As I cruise other message boards like Craig's List and etcetera, I see all too often a lot of political postings attacking Jewish Americans especially Jews in the Metro DC area portraying them as crooks living in DC for the sole purpose of corrupting our leaders, exploiting others for profit and more. Why this is tolerated is unknown to me short of my concluding that the owners of the message boards are bigots or wish to allow stero-typing. I can understand that while Jews were heavily behind organized crime in America as pointed out in The Jewish Post of New York, not all Jews are crooks where most of "us" deplore those who are like Ivan Boseky, Jack Abramoff and locally in DC Joe Sternlieb who hid behind businesses that were suppose to help their fellow man but were really designed to enrich themselves like DC Vote and others Joe Sternlieb created so that he can live in a fancy home while those he claims to care about still live in poverty and none of his promises have ever come to pass. DC Pages is the only message board that has not allowed this stuff to be posted which is good. I make a point of this because I have been working hard with the US Department of Justice and DC Office of Inspector General to finally established the fact based on hard evidence that Joe Sternlieb is a criminal and needs to be locked away for the good of the people of DC but also to take away another reason for others to hate a class of people based upon the acts of a few. Before any judge the content of this posting, they need to know far too many facts that only those who care have followed, examined and stated openly based upon hard evidence. Joe Sternlieb and his wife Linda Singer ( Interim DC Attorney General) created on2006 an illegal political action committee known as Friends of Joe Sternlieb whose goal was to generate funds and votes for Adrian Fenty, and to pick a ward 3 city council candidate who would be at their beck and call. There are numerous witnesses of high credibility that can attest to this fact, Joe Sternlieb and Friends of Joe Sternlieb helped (now) Councilwoman Mary Cheh obtain illegal, in-kind political contributions which her own OCF filings support were never reported from and given by other Jews in DC whereby his PAC was infected by other Jews out to corrupt the process if anybody takes the time to look at who made up Friends of Joe Sternlieb. To make a long story short, Joe Sternlieb is the DC version of Jack Abramoff and he needs to go the way of Abramoff; namely, a nice 36 month stay in a federal prison for what he has done and the real brains behind his illegal PAC wife Linda Singer needs to have an adjoining cell.
  11. NBC News reports that pentacostalism is the fastest growing religious orientation in America among Christians and other religions like Judiasm and Islam are seeing similar shifts toward deeper and more verbatim trends among followers. This "pentacostalism" is very active politically and is said to be supportive of Republicans and driving the backbone of right winged and middle of the road Democrats away from the political left. This mind-set was most seen in our national debate and votes cast over the issue of GAY rights. NBC News said what is fueling this shift is the threat against traditional values, the traditional family and our political leaders in DC are under the gun not to go any further to the left. Is America more conservative than we think it is and is the issue of GAY rights a deal breaker for DC getting a vote in Congress and Statehood?
  12. Greetings Luke, I am hearing that people fear that this fight over control of our schools between Fenty, Bobb and Gray could result in nothing getting done, each having their energies drained and voters are a bit puzzled as none of them prior to the elections spoke of wanting total control. Do you see this as hurting us more than solving the problems?
  13. Speak for yourself Rivera. Leave B Frank alone.... His soul belongs to the message boards but his $%$$#$% belongs to me.
  14. Bling Bling, My wife manages one of those malls you speak of and she thinks NYC, Philly and even Baltimore have better to offer shoppers. I came out of NYC and my wife Pittsburgh. How much nastier can you get? I am tired of a one horse town of paper shufflers and drunken lawyers. DC can do better if our local government wasn't so anti-business.
  15. What I meant BlinBling is we have no industry, we do not have the same kind of theatre like NYC, LA or SA have and a lot is void in DC. Even DC does not have those great stores to shop in and people have to travel 30 miles in all direction out of DC.
  16. Luke, What I resported was something I heard on TV in a news brief. I do not know what bars or restuarnts they were referring to.
  17. If you live in DC, you live in a man made HELL . The house I bought in Puerto Rico 1992, sits on 3 acres of land, along the ocean, three bedrooms, etc., and I only paid $47,000 for it while the same size house and land space in DC would cost $688,000.00. DC is over priced, not worth what you pay to live in DC, it is a one horse town and lacks any real culture. You too can leave HELL and reach HEAVEN by buying a home in the Caribbean Islands that are a part of the USA which has everything you have in DC and more, and you can get it all for 1/10th the cost. Why let your hard earned income feed greed and crooked politicians? Set yourself free.
  18. Will someone please educate me on a matter. While we have a smoking ban, I hear it does not apply on Capitol Hill and members of Congress and Staffers can still smoke in their offices, lunch areas and a few bars on the Hill protected by Congress. Does anybody have info on this?
  19. THE WASHINGTON POST’S LOST CREDIBILITY This week, I took deep offense to a blog article written by Washington Post columnist David Nakamura on DC Wire referring to Dorothy Brizill as a “Gadfly” because the manner in which he used the word was done more to be insulting to Mrs. Brizill than to add anything positive to the story. As far as I am concerned, the Washington Post for the past twenty five years has been losing credibility, good writers or stories worth reading where it’s down cline as a good newspaper has been spiraling toward the gutter of yellow journalism since the days of Woodward and Bernstein ended. No, the Washington Post in its feeble efforts has tried to compete with real newspapers like the New York Times, San Diego Charger and others but all it can offer us are Mickey Mouse reporters like Nakamura who unlike Mrs. Brizill is clueless to what real investigative journalism is, or what it takes to get a good story out of these jokers we call our leaders who have no qualms in lying and disrespecting the voters.
  20. No more Bfrankdc, Factchecker, Truthseeker, Golden Girl or the other CHEHIST. Without the help of a government employed IT person, I would never have known that all of these people were associated with Mary Cheh and that the IP addresses were linked to people in her camp. Admittedly, I at first thought they were others but thanks to good people, I have learned the truth. As many now see, none of these jokers are around as their smear jobs against all of Cheh’s rivals are no longer needed. Well, they had their fun now it is my turn!!!!! Together with several of the Ward 3 candidates and others, I think we have done a superb job of establishing that Mary Cheh violated DC Campaign Finance laws on a massive scale and now she is on the defensive as her buddy Joe Sternlieb has already hired a lawyer and so has Cheh in uncertain anticipation of what might happen if the government decides to prosecute her/them. In sum, you don't jump into the cage with the tiger and kick him and think you will just walk away.
  21. This was the funniest posting in DC Pages to date. No matter which one of these two I might be, both have something in common with me; namely, both are wealthty and have a high IQ.
  22. Ward 3 Councilwoman Mary Cheh appears to have committed major fraud in her DC Office of Campaign Finance filings by: 1. Failing to list the cost of her campaign headquarters on Morrison Street NW; 2. Failed to list an in-kind contribution of around $4,000.00 a month for six months given her by PN Hoffman Company on a second campaign office; 3. Failed to disclose that an illegal political action committee was handling the solicitation of campaigns contributions for her; 4. Listed consulting expenses for services that cannot be verified or seen by any tangible evidence; and 5. More. Cheh's DC OCF filings supports these facts and why Cheh is now under the microscopr of the DC Inspector Genera/FBI.
  23. NO HOME RULE IS STILL BETTER THAN HOME RULE In the January 17th, 2007, edition of “TheMail”, readers responded to my suggestion that the US Government should abolish DC Government as we know it for reasons I have stated previously. Michael Bindner points out that I may not be aware of the previous state of affairs prior to “Home Rule”. While I actually do, I would argue with Mr. Binder that while pre “Home Rule” wasn’t pretty, what we have now is worse. Scott McLarty suggests that the corruption inside DC Government is routed in a one party rule when he wrote: One way is to end DC’s entrenched one-party rule. Cities dominated by a single political party are notoriously prone to corruption — legal cronyism and bribery as well as the illegal kind. DC is no exception. Consider the consistent willingness of DC’s leading Democratic politicians to let the Federal City Council and other big corporate lobbies call the shots on District policy and development. That’s how we got a convention center and a baseball stadium built on DC taxpayers’ money. It’s why rent control is under constant threat. It explains Mayor Fenty’s antidemocratic scheme, under obvious pressure from the Federal City Council, to ask Congress to strip the school board of its powers. I would ask Mr. McLarty what makes him feel that allowing other political parties a fair chance of being a part of our local government would curtail the problems of corrupt leaders? As an immigrant from Sicily, Italy and having grown up in Little Italy (NYC), David Catania (Pisan) as a Republican has historically been hostile to the health care industry but after a failed effort or two to allow suits to be filed against them for alleged gouging and more, Catania knowingly went knocking on the doors of the health care industry like as he did my industry for campaign contributions and favor which I was very upset with when my industry caved in and gave him $15,000.00 as I felt Catania was behaving like a old world Mafiosa in that, if we wanted to be left alone, we will pay the price. This was not a Democrat doing such. I could give a long list of corrupt acts committed by non-Democrats who have sat on our council and the various ANC commissions. Mr. McLarty, this corruption issue that DC Government officials are constantly engaging in is not limited to a single party but a local mind-set where allowing other political parties to become a part of DC Government would curtail it is a poor argument and not routed in any evidence of such, but the evidence available would defeat your argument. Talks of Mayor Fenty and others allowing Federal City Council to call the shots, allowing local developers to buy seats on our council, suggestions that Fenty’s real goal in taking over our schools is a hidden agenda to allow land grab when added to a careful examination of Council Member Mary Cheh’s own OCF filings shows that PN Hoffman Company allowed her to rent a upscale office at 4731 Wisconsin Avenue NW which consisted of five rooms, a receptionist lobby and more for $3,000.00 ($500 a month) from July – December 2006 where evidence of this fact I have submitted to the DC Inspector General and the FBI/US DOJ as well as sharing this with Dorothy Brizill and Gary Imhoff would suggest that the corruption and the corruptors has crossed party lines. This is 2007 and I believe that abolishing “Home Rule” and allowing Congressional rule again over the District for a period of time with intent to re-establish local rule would be the lesser evil, would allow the flushing out of the rats running DC Government and allow us a fresh start at self-rule and maybe.
