Jonathan Rees speak the truth about Bfrankdc
bfrankdc replied to Tbresloff's topic in District of Columbia Politics
Why do you suspect that they are not? B. Frank -
I am not going to apologize for Mr. Brooks, as quite frankly, he is not on my radar as a candidate. However, according to the research, there was nothing illegal or dishonest about moving into the Ward to run for the office. Indeed, according to the articles that have been done, I think the requirement is to move into Ward appropriate housing prior to the primary. Heck, all of your materials have an out-of-Ward address. Does that make it wrong? B. Frank

I am glad that you are deciding to take such an interest in the local politics. I have no hatred towards Mr. Rees. I am trying to find out about him, but he clearly doesn't want to share the kind of information one would want to know about a candidate. I find it curious that he spends all day on message boards and posts behind a proxy IP address (as do many of his supporters including you). I think a fair and honest political candidate is candid about their education and professional experience, and is willing to engage the public in a fair and honest way. Hiding behind a proxy IP address doesn't constitute such honesty, in my opinion. I am not sure where you see hatred. I am simply trying to get the truth about a candidate who posted flyers all over the neighborhood last summer, and whose name appears again and again in the context of pissing of website owners and forum moderators. Certainly if there is any hatred, it comes from Mr. Rees who has used vulgarity and obfiscation to fuel his campaign. If this this too much, then maybe politics is beyond your realm? I mean look at what Senator Clinton has endured and will endure if she runs for President in 2008. There is a tough cookie! You accused me of lying, and then you backtracked and admitted that you were not indeed registered to vote. Is that hatred on your part? Can you at least be honest and admit that I wasn't lying when I said that you and "Angela" were not registered at DCBOEE? B. Frank -
I am sure Mr. Rees's employers would be psyched to know that he has spent their money (in time) on Message Boards all day. B. Frank

Not for me, but then I am not the one fixated on Mr. Brooks. Although, at least he is honest in disclosing his lack of experience. B. Frank

You could if you regsitered. If you don't care to register, then why are you so interested in this? And if you are not registered, then how did I lie? You are not on record at DCBOEE. B. Frank -
And we continue to hide behind a proxy IP. LOLOL B. Frank

That is actually pretty funny, because I had just called DCBEE to find out of there was an "Angela Brennan" or a "Tammy Bresloff" and they had no records of either. Neither name shows up in DC Phone Books, nor does either name show up in a Google search. Even my toddlers show up in a Google search. It reminds me of an episode of "Inside Herman's Head". B. "Hi, I'm Jonathan Rees. I post on message boards using a proxy IP. I won't tell you anything about my educational or professional background. But in my own mind, I believe I will be an excellent member of the D.C. Council. Please vote for me." That's a winning message, Mr. Rees. B. Frank

Explain why I am looking at my Voter Registration Card? Logic dictates that you can't refute a negative. I have a card, and have voted in about every primary and general election for which I have been eligble. Some of use are using our names and are using a real IP address. Some of us are running for office and are using a proxy IP address. You do the math. B. Frank
-
I am sure the candidates will all have their information posted in an appropriate timeframe. Since you have been running actively since last summer, I am not sure what the delay is. I can't disprove a negative, but I do live in Ward 3, am registered to vote, and have lived here since 1970/1971. I hope some of the journalists monitoring this message board jump on this. It is a fantastic story. B. Frank

Amazing statement from someone running for public office. I can't wait to see what you are hiding! B. Frank

YOU CANNOT BLAME THIS ON REES, SAM BROOKS
bfrankdc replied to MissGloverPark's topic in District of Columbia Politics
It is kind of funny...based on this post, I asked around to see if "missgloverpark's" assertions were true. A friend sent this link to me: http://www.washblade.com/2004/10-15/arts/best/bestofpeps.cfm (you have to scroll down a little bit) Meh, should I have expected anything else? B. Frank -
That's funny because I just pulled out my DCBOEE election card with my name on it. Of course, B. is an initial, just like you have posted under jrrees, or jrees, I post under B. Frank. Wouldn't it have been silly for my mother to name me B.? Actually I guess in a 60's purple haze, that would be funny. Further, I am not the one running for office. I find it incredible that as someone who is seeking public office, you do not want to share with the public reading this message board the educational and professional experience that have have gained that make you qualified to be our Councilman. The research I personally have done contains vague terms and citations for conglomerates which cannot be verified --- there is too much research required by HR departments not versed in all of the minutia little companies that may have been swaloowed up over the years to find a single name). Further the information that I found regarding Columbia University and NYU Stern Business school cannot be verified (by the latter, I mean there are no records of a Jonathan Rees as a graduate of either institution for the years cited). Again, the information I came across may be for a different Jonathon Rees, and since you are presumably the candidate vying for our votes, I would think you would be standing high on the hillsides wanting this information to be public. If not, then the presumption is that while you are a candidate in name, you are not one to be taken seriously. B. Frank
-
I didn't know that educational background and professional experience were considered taboo. Since there appear to be, as you claim, a number of Jonathan Rees's, why not take this opportunity to provide verifyable information about the kinds of things that would be considered important for your qualifications to be our Ward Councilman? I can't see where saying I went to X college (or not) and have worked at these companies, is such a bad thing? B. Frank
-
Wow, I have never seen a serious political candidate try to obfiscate their past. Most would want to point to the educational and work experience to extoll the virtues of their candidacy. This is very interesting. What are you trying to hide? Based on your response (and keep in mind, you are the public figure here, or a wannabe anyway), you are unemployed and have no educational background which would make you qualified to represent our Ward in the City Council. Until there is anything on your website that is verifyable, I guess that response speaks for itself. B. Frank

What company is that? B. Frank

So how do you explain all of the postings from different names which come from the same IP address? Computers don't lie. Someone here is, but it ain't them. I continue to notice that the tell-tale slashes of a proxy IP address persist in your posts. If you can't even use a real IP address when posting in your own name, then how can any potential voter trust you? B. Frank
-
Mr. Rees, Do you dispute the proof on the DCist archives where you have posted under your own name and then again under aliases where the Board Moderators have demonstrated that the IP addresses from your name and the others are the same? By the way, why do you feel the need to use a proxy IP address as your supporters Angela, Tammy and Leona (aka "missgloverpark") do? This is evidenced by the slashes (/////) that show up in your posts. I guess "missgloverpark" was mistaken and you infact have not been banned from this message board. B. Frank

So it's the same post that "Jason Rees" placed in the Women's Health community on DC Pages. Is that a father-son thing, or is someone posting in their son's name? http://www.dcmessageboards.com/index.php?showtopic=7189 B. Frank -
I love the backtracking, LOL. By the way, what is the fascination with Brooks? I hadn't heard of him until the Reesits brought him to my attention. I would be more concerned about the journalists and other officials who are monitoring the Rees/missgloverpark/Tammy/Angela hydra. B. Frank PS...ok Truthseeker, I have really really tried. I will try again. I promise.

I posted about an hour and a half ago on the "Martin posted proof" thread. There was also a 'Skins playoff game this afternoon, and general life to live in addition on a Saturday. Besides, I have been mostly responding to the likes of you and "Angela" and "Tammy". Since there was only one or two posts all day, there was not much to volley back. Maybe you are Sam Brooks? I reopen your case, because for the gagillionth time, I am not Sam Brooks. B. Frank
