Joe, I was quite happy to see the Redskins win the coin toss in overtime last week. If they did not we most likely would have lost the game and been 1 and 3. Hail Joe Bugel. The old coach got his Dirtbag offensive line fired up. The Dirtbags allowed no sacks really control the line of scrimmage. When Mark Brunell has time he can still throw a ball to an all star receiver corp. Santana Moss and fellow wideouts Brandon Lloyd, Antwaan Randle El, David Patten and James Thrash present a big challenge for a Giants secondary that will be heavily scrutinized this week. The unit fared poorly in its most recent outing, surrendering five Matt Hasselbeck touchdown passes in a 42-30 loss in Seattle on Sept. 24. The Giants’ pass defense ranks 29th in the NFL, allowing 281.0 yards per game. In his six-year NFL career, Washington Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss has scored three touchdowns in a game three times. Two of those games came against the Giants: one when he played for the Jets in 2003 and another last season in FedEx Field. The third occurred last week, when his 68-yard score beat the Jacksonville Jaguars in overtime. The key to the Giants matchup is still containing Tiki Barber. For the 2005 season, he was the NFL's top yardage gainer from the line of scrimmage. This season Barber rushed for 51 and 64 yards against the Eagles and Seahawks, respectively. But a healthy Plaxico Burress, back from the back spasms that knocked him out of the second half in Seattle, should help open things up. But, all I can remember is Tiki Barber's 206 yards against us last season. Then there is the Lavar factor. LB LaVar Arrington, who has yet to have a breakout game, would like nothing better than to have it against the Washington team that benched him for a couple of games last year. He left the Redskins on an acrimonious note, and has a heavy revenge factor in this one. This is a game the Giants are hungry for. They could go 2-0 in the division. But besides that, two tough road games lie ahead in Atlanta and Dallas. A loss here could foretell a 1-5 mark. And with the team on the brink of dropping off the emotional table, the Giants probably would never recover from that. REDSKINS vs. GIANTS SERIES HISTORY: 147th meeting. The Redskins have played the Giants every year since 1932 and are 60-82-4 in the regular season series. They are 1-1 in the postseason. With 148 meetings the Giants are the Redskins' most frequent rival. The series was split each of the last three years, with the home team winning their games the last two seasons. While last year's meeting in Giants Stadium was not the most important in terms of postseason ramifications, it proved one of the most emotional victories in the Giants franchise history. The 36-0 win on Oct. 30 came at the end of an emotionally wrenching week following the death of Giant team patriarch Wellington Mara. The defense dominated, allowing Washington just 125 total yards of offense and seven first downs.

Mark Brunnell is done at quarterback. Joe Gibbs is too conservative. Dan Snyder has no passion besides money. Looking past the fact the Redskins overpriced offensive line cannot passblock. Looking past a 1,000 plus playbook, which I bet has about 100 plays and the rest are mask formations. Looking past that there is no way Redskins team can memorize such a playbook. Looking past an overpriced defense that cannot dominate the line or cause turnovers. Does Clinton Portis and Sean Springs make that much of an impact on the team? Is this a player depth in key positions issue? I do not want to post in a Redskin's censored message board, which keeps deleting my posts, because the truth hurts. So I am posting it here. The Redskins reflect Dan Snyder. Marketing hype that looks good on NFL Press Releases. This is our nation's number one money making franchise. Number two in the world. If they were winning I would not doggess. But, I was a kid watching Lord Jack Kent Cooke's world. I respect the fact that Joe Gibbs is Hall of Fame coach. I thank him for some of the happiest moments of my life. But, please Redskins fans don't proclaim he is GOD. Gibbs is a religious man and does not like believing some fanatics place him with that title. I also respect Joe Gibbs decision of being loyal to his quarterback. But, I do not agree with his decision. Why not give Jason Campell a chance? Even if the Redskins beat the Texans the win has little value. The Houston Texans have been statistically one of the worst teams in the league the past couple years. This year does not look to be different. Everyone is saying Jason is dumb and by no way is Ben Roethlisberger. I believe different. Jason Cambell was the Redskins pick for a reason. Let Jason Campbell play! We need to start opening up the offense. We need Gibbs to be more than Snyder's reflection. We need our hall of fame coach back. Let Danny 'Jump for Joy' Snyder play with his new buddy Tommy "Teen Idol" Cruise, so he can learn the miracles of Scientology. Joe Gibbs needs a wakeup call from the fans. Washington is a funny place. People love you one minute and hate you the next.

Well I just have one response to the Redskins organization. Give the fans back their money you made in preseason. For a team worth $1.423 billion there was no entertainment value at all. Danny Boy needs to stop spending all his time with his new scientologist mission impossible friend and focus on the team. In all my years of watching football I never heard the Redskins use the term vanilla playbook. I hope all this stealthy trickery pays off September 11.

Redskin Players and Coaches Should Feel Shame
HailtotheChief replied to HailtotheChief's topic in Football
Here is what Redskins offensive head coach, Al Saunders, had to say about this issue. In the 1970's, Al Saunders joined the coaching staff at San Diego State University under Head Coach Don Coryell. Saunders would go with Coryell to NFL when Coryell became the Head Coach of the San Diego Chargers. From 1983-1986, Saunders was the wide receivers coach for the Chargers. He was tapped as the Charger's Interim Head Coach when Coryell resigned during the middle of the 1986 season. Saunders would eventually replace Coryell as the Head Coach from 1986-1988. From 1989-1998, Saunders was with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he served as the Assistant Head Coach and Wide Receivers Coach under Marty Schottenheimer. On January 19, 2006, he joined the coaching staff of the Washington Redskins as the Associate Head Coach - Offense, reuniting him with fellow "Air Coryell" alumn, Joe Gibbs. -
Redskin Players and Coaches Should Feel Shame
HailtotheChief replied to HailtotheChief's topic in Football
There is one arguement that is buzzing around the media that the Redskins are not showing their plays for the Vikings game. But, the look on the coaches was quite different. Gibbs, Williams, and Saunders jaws dropped about two feet on my television. The players did not look happy either. If the Redskins are pretending to be this bad, they should get an acedemy award for their performance. -
Last night the Washington Redskins got beaten by the superior New England Patriots. There was nothing good about Washington's Performance. The Patriots were dominant on both sides of the ball. For all the hype about our stellar players reality came to the team. The Redskins suck. I can't wait to see how Danny 'I chop park trees' Snyder spins this one.

Duckett is a machine. He weighs about 250 and will bury his shoulder into an attempted tackler and fight for more yards. Unfortunately the knock on Duckett is that he is injury prone.

My favorite fan, Chief Zee will be sidelined this fall. Mr. Zema Williams, an Army veteran, spent 12 days in a veterans hospital in May with an aneurysm in his stomach. A blood clot in his left leg has crippled him, and the big toe on his left foot will have to be amputated. Living on Social Security, the Redskins' unofficial mascot is facing a pile of medical bills. This is the first time Mr. Williams has been injured since a game at Philadelphia in 1983, when angry Eagles fans attacked him, breaking his leg, tearing off his original Indian costume and leaving him hospitalized. Fans donated money for his recovery. He has never missed a game. For those interested in helping out one of the living icons of Redskin's fandom can reach the Chief at: Chief Z PO Box 355 Oxon Hill MD 20750-0355

North Korea Taunts War against Japan and USA
HailtotheChief replied to Luke_Wilbur's topic in Asia Politics
As we all were celebrating our Independence Day with grand displays of fireworks, North Korea attempted its own fireworks and test-fired at least seven missiles, including the medium-range Taepodong-2, designed to theoretically reach Alaska. Although the Taepodong-2 test technically failed, politically it succeeded in drawing attention to the threat that North Korea still poses not only to the United States, but to its Asian neighbors who unsuccessfully tried to stop the North's test. I think we should drop paint bombs and splatter the capital city, Pyongyang, in protest. -

Washington Post Slams Baltimore in Battle of Beltway Advertisement
HailtotheChief replied to a topic in Sports
Just for clarification this was a Washington Nationals advertisement on the Back of the Friday's Washington Post Express paper on Page 18. It stated: I really do not think the Washington Post took this advertisement seriously. I am sure they do not endorse the advertisement. It was weird for me to go to RFK on Saturday. I was one of those freaks who had a Nationals tee-shirt and a Orioles baseball cap on. I am torn between loyalties. Angelos is a prick, but I love the O's. I live in the District and want to support the home team, but I have great memories at Camden Yards. I was at Camden on September 6, 1995. It was one of the last games my father took me to see Cal Ripken break Lou Gehrig's Streak of 2131 games. I was at RFK to see the Redskins beat the Cowboys. Yada, Yada, Yada. So I go to the game on Saturday not caring who wins. Both teams suck at this point. But, I have to say that when I left RFK I was bummed and I did not know why. I thought it was the alcohol, but it wasn't. After Sunday's Nationals victory I realized that I was upset that the Os had lost. I now realize that they are my number one team. For better, or for worse. Thank the Umpire above that the teams are not in the same league and do not share the same beltway. -
Just announced!!! Lavar Arrington is now a New York Giant. It kills me to think that. The Giants, short on depth at linebacker, have been one of the teams interested, along with Miami, Cincinnati, Jacksonville and Green Bay. Arrington is thought to prefer the Giants because they are in the same division with the Redskins and because their middle linebacker, Antonio Pierce, is a close friend from their days together in Washington and has been pushing them to sign him. Warrick Holdman re-signed with the Washington Redskins yesterday, giving the team another candidate for the starting weak-side linebacker position following the departure of LaVar Arrington. But the number 56 will never be the same. The Giants owned it in the past. The Giants own it now. Snyder Sucks!!!

I must say that I was completely psyched for the Nationals Game. And I love the Nats. But, Having a crook throw the first pitch was just a wrong move. DC Mayor, Anthony "Two Feathers" Williams, should have been on the mound instead. At least he would have gotten the ball over home plate. I am telling you Cheney jinxed the Nationals because of this. The ramifications of this will be worse than the dreaded 'Curse of the Bambino' where it took the Boston Red Sox baseball team 84 years to win the world series after they sold Babe Ruth, sometimes called The Bambino, to the New York Yankees. I foresee the Washington Nationals baseball team suffering 170 years before 'The Curse of the Cheney 10 foot toss' is lifted and they win their first World Series. Note. the curse can be removed by giving me a ticket to Frank Howard's white seat.

Antwaan Randle El (born August 17, 1979 in Riverdale, Illinois) is the newest wide receiver and punt returner for the Washington Redskins. A quarterback in college, he is also occasionally called on to pass on trick plays, most notably in Super Bowl XL in which he threw a pass for a touchdown. He is considered to be the most statistically productive dual-threat quarterback to ever play college football. He was drafted in the second round of the NFL Draft in 2002 by the Pittsburgh Steelers. On March 12, 2006, he signed a seven-year, $31 million deal to play for the Washington Redskins.

It looks like even the Coast Guard is against this purchase. *************************************** The Coast Guard assessment concluded that “[t]here are many intelligence gaps, concerning the potential for DPW or P&O assets to support terrorist operations, that precludes an overall threat assessment of the potential DWP and P&O ports merger. The breadth of the intelligence gaps also infer potential unknown threats against a large number of potential vulnerabilities.”

White House Leak To Destroy Joseph C. Wilson
HailtotheChief replied to Luke_Wilbur's topic in United States Politics
Patrick J. Fitzgerald said that numerous emails from 2003 are missing from the White House computer archives. (See attachment pdf) The Presidential Records Act, passed by Congress in 1978, made it clear that records generated in the conduct of official duties did not belong to the president or vice president, but were the property of the government. I think it is time for the Bush administration to put up another heightened terrorist alert to deflect the Nation's focus from them to their imaginary enemy. January26FitzLetter.pdf -
This was one of the worst Superbowl games I have ever watched. The officials clearly made mistakes that cost the Seahawks the game. Either they were influenced by the crowd, or felt partial for the Steelers, or got a good paycheck from Las Vegas Casinos. The NFL will need to do alot of explaining to gain my trust again.

Hail to the Redskins, Even though our team lost they showed spirit once again. All we need to do is reduce penalties. Even though the refs really sucked balls. Clinton you are the man. Brunell you are the man. Santana you are the fastest man. The Redskins offensive line you are hogs of men. Arrington wake up and start getting pissed off that you are not playing. You are showing me that you are a dead horse sitting on the bench.

A man in a Santa Suit was in Texas Stadium hoping for an early Christmas present. At first I thought Dallas fans were going to get one this Monday Night. I watched (Troy, Emitt, and Michael) on the Cowboy ring, but 'All Hail to Mark, Santana and Clinton (The three Amigos) who stole the game. Let's take a breather here.... I know Cowboy fans are in a state of shock.... I was too... I was upset at every Redskin, including.... (I dare not say his name) I thought about all the ribbing I would get from a couple disoriented friends. Mark Brunell showed all doubters he has the heart of a fighter. Watching the ol man scoot for 24 yards. And throw a touchdown to Santana Moss on Fourth down. When the ABC Sports cameraman panned over to Santa sweating and I realized that was not Saint Nick. The Cowboys are all hype. I think finally the Redskins organization woke up from a decade long nightmare dream. Sean Taylor I do not care what anyone says about you. I loved the way you stuck their receivers when we needed you most. The part I loved the most was watching Dan 'The Man' Snyder jumping up and down. That was real enthusiasm. I hope he remembers that moment. Its worth more than gold. Joe Gibbs you finally took down the Tuna and destroyed his 77-0 record when ahead by 13 (an unlucky number. And for you Jerry 'lets get it together' Jones, here is a snippet from the late Man in Black. I am now going to run around and shout throughout my neighborhood now. Redskins 14, Cowboys 13 Redskins 14, Cowboys 13 Redskins 14, Cowboys 13 Great game guys.

If the ' Ryan O'Halloran report is true Patrick, I just lost alot of respect for you. I will not be representing a cry baby in the house wearing your jersey. Maybe if you did not throw an interception and fumble twice in Sunday's game Gibbs might not have benched you. Face the facts.... Right now Mark Brunell is playing better than you. You do not have great trade value. You can either whine or be the best second quarterback the Redskins ever had. Ask Sonny what he had to deal with in the 70's.

Luke the only thing you failed to mention was where and what the President was doing during the day of the flood. HA Ha

Barbara Bush (his own mother) After a tour of the Houston Astrodome in Texas earlier this week, where thousands of hurricane victims are being housed, Barbara Bush said in a National Public Radio interview: “So many of the people here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this is working very well for them.” Tom DeLay (Majority Leader) U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay’s visit to Reliant Park this morning offered him a glimpse of what it’s like to be living in shelter. While on the tour with top administration officials from Washington, including U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao and U.S. Treasury Secretary John W. Snow, DeLay stopped to chat with three young boys resting on cots. The congressman likened their stay to being at camp and asked, “Now tell me the truth boys, is this kind of fun?” Laura Bush (The First Lady) "I also want to encourage anybody who was affected by Hurricane Corina to make sure their children are in school." –First Lady Laura Bush, twice referring to a "Hurricane Corina" while speaking to children and parents in South Haven, Mississippi, Sept. 8, 2005 And…Bush himself In an effort to raise the spirits of the hundreds of thousands who have lost their homes, Bush promised to rebuild devastated areas better than they were before, but at one point focused on the home of a powerful lawmaker. “Out of the rubbles of Trent Lott’s house — he’s lost his entire house — there’s going to be a fantastic house. And I’m looking forward to sitting on the porch,” he said on a tour of the region Friday, drawing nervous laughter. Some Republicans winced, including one disbelieving congressional aide who told AFP: “Lott? He’s focusing on Lott? Surrounded by poor people, he talks about a sitting senator?” It think this mock picture sums it up
