What happens now in the pilgrimage?

Recommended Posts

we in the days blessed the first of the month of Dhul Hijjah, which is held by the rites of the obligatory fifth of Islam and God willing I will explain you all about that duty detail Allah blessed me and you pilgrimage home Grand in Mecca and visit the grave of Mstafah Habib Muhammad peace be upon him in Medina

Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam, Allah has imposed on the Muslims in the sixth year Hijri, one of the best works, was asked the Messenger of Allah (: Any business better?

He said: (faith in Allah and His Messenger).

It was said: Then what? He said: (Jihad in the way of Allah).

It was said: Then what? He said: (accepted Hajj (the pilgrimage which was mixed with sin.) _ [Agreed]

And Aisha - may Allah be pleased - said: O Messenger of Allah Jihad see the best work do you not strive? He said: (No, but the best Jihad accepted Hajj) _ [Agreed].

The Hajj is an expiation for sins, he said (: (of Hajj and does not and does not immoral act, he returned the day his mother bore him) _ [Agreed]. He also said: ('umrah to an expiation for them, and accepted Hajj brings no less a reward than Paradise) _ [Agreed] said (: (Amar delegation of pilgrims and God, who goes, and they asked him to them gave He) _ [bazaar].

Hajj and cleanses the soul and restores clarity and fidelity, and that it would be human to be patient and endure, and Hajj implanted in the soul the spirit of bondage full of God, and submission true to the law of God, and the pilgrimage leads a person to God grateful for the blessing of money and blessing of wellness.

Hajj and lead to long relationship with the Muslims, including different colors, languages and home, and feel more strongly the Association of Islamic brotherhood, and helps to spread the call of Islam, as it is a popular conference to address the Muslims and to identify the conditions, and discuss their problems.

The conditions of Hajj being obligatory:

1 - Islam, Hajj is not obligatory on the infidel.

2 - puberty, there must be a boy, even pilgrimage boy before puberty, is not acceptable for duty after puberty, but to perform Hajj once again, for saying (: (Any boy Ag then reached Perjury (age of reference), he should do Hajj again) _ [ Tabarani].

3 - the mind, not on the pilgrimage crazy, but do not correct it.

4 - freedom, Not a slave

5 - Being, so that it is able to withstand the hardship of travel, and that he has enough is enough of having to beg until he returns.

And women, like men in the conditions of Hajj being obligatory but it is essential that accompanied a husband or a mahram, or be with her trustworthy women

I think you might want to consider not using the word infidel. Both early Christians and Muslims use it to mean 'one without faith.'

Infidel is no longer used to describe "nonbeliever" in the West, so many people take it as offensive. Like if a Jewish person was to call you or I a "goyim." Or you calling a Jewish person a "kafir." Many people that do not know that your understanding of Infidel, so they think it to be derogatory (ie. pig, dog, cursive, etc..)

so the sentence

1 - Islam, Hajj is not obligatory on the infidel.

might be considered

1 - Islam, Hajj is not obligatory on the dog [attempting to use non cursive language].

If I may suggest atheist and agnostic, which are more descriptive, mean the same thing, and are clearly understood terms by Western English speaking non-believers.

Thus the sentence becomes

1 - Islam, Hajj is not obligatory for atheist and agnostics.

The same can be misunderstood with

Jihad in the way of Allah

Many Western English speaking persons would consider the above sentence mean

War or Terror in the way of Allah.

Correct me if I am wrong, the meaning of this is to be understood is:

Striving in the way of God

A popular term that understood is Righteous. If I were to say to you.

Ennin you are a righteous man striving in the way of Allah. I hope that you incur many blessings during Hajj.

I do not think you would be offended.

Words can mean so many things to so many people. Especially if they are just read by those who do not understand context to what is being written.

I only suggest this if your intention is gain understanding and possibly conversion of those who are not Muslims.

Peace be with you.

The Quran is clear in defining who is an infidel.

“They do blaspheme who say: "God is Christ the son of Mary." But said Christ: "O Children of Israel! worship God, my Lord and your Lord." Whoever joins other gods with God,- God will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help” (Surah 5:72).

“They do blaspheme who say: God is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One God. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them” (Surah 5:72).

“The Jews call 'Uzair a son of God, and the Christians call Christ the son of God. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. God's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!” (Surah 9:30)

These constants and the basics
Can not be changed
Jews and Christians
At the time of application of the teachings of the Torah and the Bible correctly
And not a typeface now

Now
They are not Jews or Christians
They are now
Of the infidels and the polytheists

As a result say
Isa ibn Maryam
We Jews killed him

And Jesus son of Mary
We Christians say
Isa son of Mary, son of God - is the same God

also The vast majority of people worship God
This is true
But see well
God for them (cow worship - worship of idols - worship Satan 00000, and so on

Question here
Is this the right way?

answer;

Through the prophets and messengers

Not by Akhenaten, Sumerian and Buddhism
This has nothing to do with the oneness of God on the true face
It is a delusion and invention of human beings

In this matter
Only
The diaphyses of the
And irreversible
God says in the Holy Qur'an
48. Verily, Allah forgives not that partners should be set up with him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He pleases, and whoever sets up partners with Allah in worship, he has indeed invented a tremendous sin.

Anyone who denies the existence of God
Does not recognize that one - the Creator

How can God forgive him?
This is not a sin
But
Grow and self-denial of the divine
So
God says in the Holy Qur'an
82. It is those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah and worship none but Him Alone) and confuse not their belief with Zulm (wrong ie by worshipping others besides Allah), for them (only) there is security and they are the guided.

Injustice here = polytheism
Except that
God will forgive any sin no matter how large

These attitudes have taken place with the prophets

Noah peace be upon him and his son
Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him and his uncle
Abraham peace be upon him and his father

He wanted to pray for forgiveness and for mercy

45. And Nuh (Noah) called upon his Lord and said, "O my Lord! Verily, my son is of my family! And certainly, Your Promise is true, and You are the Most Just of the judges."

46. He said: "O Nuh (Noah)! Surely, he is not of your family; verily, his work is unrighteous, so ask not of Me that of which you have no knowledge! I admonish you, lest you be one of the ignorants . "

47. Nuh (Noah) said: "O my Lord! I seek refuge with You from asking You that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have Mercy on me, I would indeed be one of the losers."

114. And [ibrahim's (Abraham)] invoking (of Allah) for his father's forgiveness was only because of a promise he [ibrahim (Abraham)] had made to him (his father). But when it became clear to him [ibrahim (Abraham)] that he (his father) is an enemy to Allah, he dissociated himself from him. Verily Ibrahim (Abraham) was Al-Awwah (has fifteen different meanings but the correct one seems to be that he used to invoke Allah with humility, glorify Him and remember Him much), and was forbearing. (Tafsir Al-Qurtubi).

Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him
Came out of an uncle after his death on the polytheism
Cries and says,
You Lord for forgiveness
So
Some Muslims ask forgiveness for their parents, who died at the polytheism
113. It is not (proper) for the Prophet and those who believe to ask Allah's Forgiveness for the Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) even though they be of kin, after it has become clear to them that they are the dwellers of the Fire (because they died in a state of disbelief).

But
Holy Qur'an
Inspiration came to clarify
Polytheism

Has no solution or forgiveness after death

Therefore, everyone must search for truth and self-review before it is too late

The pilgrims begin arriving by air, sea, and land during the weeks prior to the pilgrimage period. They usually arrive into Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the major port city nearest to Mecca (45 miles distance). From there they travel with their Hajj group to Mecca. As they approach Mecca, they stop at one of the designated areas to shower and change clothing, entering into a state of devotion and purity for the pilgrimage.

Ihram

Ihram is the intention of the person willing to perform all rites of 'Umrah, Hajj or both when he arrives at the Miqat. Each direction coming into Makkah has its own Miqat. It is recommended that the one who intends to perform Hajj makes Ghusl (a shower with the intention to purify one's self), perfumes his body, but not his garments, and puts on a two piece garment with no headgear. The garments should be of seamless cloth. One piece to cover the upper part of the body, and the second to cover the lower part. For a woman the Ihram is the same except that she should not use perfumes at all and her dress should cover the whole body decently, leaving the hands and the face uncovered. The pilgrim should say the intention according to the type of Hajj. For Hajj Al-Tamatt'u one should say:

"Labbayka Allahumma 'Umrah" which means "O Allah I answered Your call to perform 'Umrah". It is recommended to repeat the well known supplication of Hajj, called Talbeyah, as frequently as possible from the time of Ihram till the time of the first stoning of Jamrat Al-Aqabah in Mina. Men are recommended to utter the Talbeyah aloud while women are to say it quietly. This Talbeyah is of the form:

"Labbayka Allahumma Labbayk. Labbayka La Shareeka Laka Labbayk. Inna-alhamda Wan-ntimata Laka Walmulk. La Shareek Lak." (Here I am at your service. O my Lord, here I am. Here I am. No partner do You have. Here I am. Truly, the praise and the provisions are Yours, and so is the dominion. No partner do You have.)

Would not be calling Gabriel the Holy Spirit of God be blasphemy? Your very own Hadith states very clearly Gabriel is NOT the Holy Spirit.

Genesis 2

2:7 The Lord God formed the man from the soil of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

I am pretty sure Moses wrote Genesis. And a thousand plus years later Gabriel confirms the story to Mohammed.

Surat Al-Ĥijr (The Rocky Tract)

15:28 Sahih International
And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "I will create a human being out of clay from an altered black mud.

15:29 And when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration."

Sahih Muslim Book 031, Hadith Number 6081.

Sahih Muslim Book 31. The Merits Of The Companions (PBUT) Of The Holy Prophet (PBUH)

Bismillah-Hir-Rahman-Nir-Raheem

Chapter : The merits of Hassan b. Thabit (Allah be pleased with him).

'Aisha reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said. Satirise against the (non-believing amongst the) Quraish, for (the satire) is more grievous to them than the hurt of an arrow. So he (the Holy Prophet) sent (someone) to Ibn Rawiha and asked him to satirise against them, and he composed a satire, but it did not appeal to him (to the Holy Prophet). He then sent (someone) to Ka'b b. Malik (to do the same, but what he composed did not appeal to the Holy Prophet). He then sent one to Hassan b. Thabit. As he got into his presence, Hassan said: Now you have called for this lion who strikes (the enemies) with his tail. He then brought out his tongue and began to move it and said: By Him Who has sent you with Truth, I shall tear them with my tongue as the leather is torn. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Don't be hasty; (let) Abu Bakr who has the best knowledge of the lineage of the Quraish draw a distinction for you in regard to my lineage, as my lineage is the same as theirs. Hassan then came to him (Abu Bakr) and after making inquiry (in regard to the lineage of the Holy Prophet) came back to him (the holy Prophet) and said: Allah's Messenger, he (Abu Bakr) has drawn a distinction in vour lineage (and that of the Quraish) By Him Who has sent you with Truth, I shall draw out from them (your name) as hair is drawn out from the flour. 'Aisha said: I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying to Hassin:

Verily Ruh-ul-Qudus would continue to help you so long as you put up a defence on behalf of Allah and His Messenger.

And she said:

I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) saying:

Hassan satirised against them and gave satisfaction to the (Muslims) and disquieted (the non-Muslims). You satirised Muhammad, but I replied on his behalf, and there is reward with Allah for this. You satirised Muhammad, virtuous, righteous. The Apostle of Allah, whose nature is truthfulness. So verily my father and his father and my honour are a protection to the honour of Muhammad. May I lose my dear daughter, if you don't see her, wiping away the dust from the two sides of Kada', they pull at the rein, going upward. On their shoulders are spears thirsting (for the blood of the enemy); our steeds are sweating-our women wipe them with their mantles. If you had not interfered with us, we would have performed the 'Umra, and (then) there was the Victory, and the darkness cleared away. Otherwise wait for the fighting on the day in which Allah will honour whom He pleases.

And Allah said:

I have sent a servant who says the Truth in which there is no ambiguity.

And Allah said:

I have prepared an army-they are the Ansar whose object is fighting (the enemy). There reaches every day from Ma'add abuse, or fighting or satire. Whoever satirises the Apostle from amongst you, or praises him and helps it is all the same. And Gabriel, the Apostle of Allah is among us, and the Holy Spirit who has no match.

Correct me if I am wrong, the narrator of the above Hadith (Story) was Mohammed's wife, Aisha.

Ennin you wrote:

The Holy Spirit refers to the Angel Jibreel (Gabriel), also known as Jibraaeel; he is the message-bearer par excellence from Allah, the Lord of Glory and Grace; he is also the conduit of divine support and assistance bestowed on Prophets, Messengers as well as righteous people who strive in the path of Allah.

As I would agree Gabriel Pbuh is NO MATCH for the Holy Spirit. It is the power of the Holy Spirit of Allah that protects Gabriel and us. Further, it is clear in my belief that the Holy Spirit is a name used for respect and glorification of the will of God (Allah). Just as we are distinct, but part of God's creation; the eternal will of Allah (God) is a distinct aspect of God (Allah). The difference is that the spiritual aspect of our free will begins and may or may not end depending on the will of God (Allah). From reading the Hadith which Aisha states directly that Allah (God) Gabriel, The Apostle and the Holy Spirit are seperate. I am in no way a an Islamic religious or legal scholar but those that state the Gabriel is the Holy Spirit may fall under Rubūbīyah and/or Shirke-e-Asghar if this is not cleared up.

I hope you find wisdom to answer this. I am sorry to put you under this, but name calling God fearing Christians is wrong.

In Spirit baptism the Holy Spirit of God (Allah's) baptizes His chosen believerd into His family of Christ, Angels, Prophets and Saints.

1 Corinthians 12

12:12 For just as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body – though many – are one body, so too is Christ.

12:13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body. Whether Jews or Greeks or slaves or free, we were all made to drink of the one Spirit.

12:14 For in fact the body is not a single member, but many.

12:15 If the foot says, “Since I am not a hand, I am not part of the body,” it does not lose its membership in the body because of that.

12:16 And if the ear says, “Since I am not an eye, I am not part of the body,” it does not lose its membership in the body because of that.

12:17 If the whole body were an eye, what part would do the hearing? If the whole were an ear, what part would exercise the sense of smell?

12:18 But as a matter of fact, God has placed each of the members in the body just as he decided.

12:19 If they were all the same member, where would the body be?

12:20 So now there are many members, but one body.

12:21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I do not need you,” nor in turn can the head say to the foot, “I do not need you.”

12:22 On the contrary, those members that seem to be weaker are essential,

12:23 and those members we consider less honorable we clothe with greater honor, and our unpresentable members are clothed with dignity,

12:24 but our presentable members do not need this. Instead, God has blended together the body, giving greater honor to the lesser member,

12:25 so that there may be no division in the body, but the members may have mutual concern for one another.

12:26 If one member suffers, everyone suffers with it. If a member is honored, all rejoice with it.

"The Holy Spirit refers to the Angel Jibreel (Gabriel), also known as Jibraaeel; he is the message-bearer par excellence from Allah, the Lord of Glory and Grace; he is also the conduit of divine support and assistance bestowed on Prophets, Messengers as well as righteous people who strive in the path of Allah.

1. Thus we read in the Quran that the Prophets (peace be upon them all) are chosen by Allah by sending down the Holy Spirit with the revelations: He sends down the Spirit from His command, upon those of His servants He chooses, in order to warn people of the Day of Meeting. (Ghafir: 15)

2. We also read in the Quran that it (the Quran) was sent down upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) through the medium of Holy Spirit: Say: The Holy Spirit brought it down from your Lord with the truth, to strengthen those who believe, and as a guidance and good tidings to the Muslims. (An-Nahl: 102)

"And your Lord, He is indeed the August, the Compassionate. And it is a sending down from the Lord of the Worlds, brought down by the Trustworthy Spirit, upon your heart, that you may be one of the warners, in Arabic speech. (Ash-Shu`ara': 191-195)

3. It is in the same spirit that we read in the Quran that the Holy Spirit was sent down to strengthen Jesus and assist him in his work:

We gave Jesus, son of Mary, clear signs, and strengthened him with the Holy Spirit (Al-Baqarah: 253)

Then Allah will say, O Jesus son of Mary! Remember My favor upon you and upon your mother; how I strengthened you with the Holy Spirit (Al-Ma'idah: 110)

4. Furthermore, we read in the Prophetic traditions: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, Verily, the Holy Spirit has cast this idea in my heart: No soul shall die before its appointed time and without having exhausted the means of livelihood apportioned for it, so try to look for a livelihood as best as you can, but don't seek it through unlawful means.(Reported by Abu Nu`aym in Hilyah)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed to Allah to strengthen the famous poet Hassan ibn Thabit with the Holy Spirit in composing poems in defense of Islam: O Allah! Strengthen him with the Holy Spirit. (Reported by al-Bukhari)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) later on said about Hassan: Verily Allah, the Glorious and Mighty, is strengthening Hassan with the Holy Spirit. (Reported by at-Tirmidhi and Ahmad) The Holy Spirit is with Hassan in his work! (Reported by Abu Dawud)

It should be clear from the above that the Holy Spirit is the Angel Jibreel sent by Allah to assist His chosen servants in their divinely ordained missions."

Eid al-Adha

Throughout the world, Muslims celebrate Eid al-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice, on this day. This is the second of the two major holidays in Islam each year.

remember Abraham's trials,

102. And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)."

103. Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering);

104. And We called out to him: "O Abraham!

105. You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers -

106. Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial

107. And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice

The meat from the sacrifice of Eid al-Adha is mostly given away to others. One-third is eaten by immediate family and relatives, one-third is given away to friends, and one-third is donated to the poor. The act symbolizes our willingness to give up things that are of benefit to us or close to our hearts, in order to follow Allah's commands. It also symbolizes our willingness to give up some of our own bounties, in order to strengthen ties of friendship and help those who are in need. We recognize that all blessings come from Allah, and we should open our hearts and share with others.

It is very important to understand that the sacrifice itself, as practiced by Muslims, has nothing to do with atoning for our sins or using the blood to wash ourselves from sin. This is a misunderstanding by those of previous generations: "It is not their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah; it is your piety that reaches Him." (Qur'an 22:37) ---

Sorry, but you failed to answer why the Hadith states otherwise. "And Gabriel (Angel), the Apostle of Allah (Mohammed) is among us, and the Holy Spirit (Allah) who has no match." You might want to speak with your scholars with this. None of verses cited above or in the Quran identify the Holy Spirit of God as Gabriel. Keep searching and hopefully you will find the answer. I wonder when the tradition of believing Gabriel was the Holy Spirit of Allah (God) started.

Surat 'Āli `Imrān (Family of Imran)

3:3 He has sent down upon you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel.

It is easy to see that Mohammed confirmed that the Holy Spirit of Allah is not Gabriel. Gabriel is a messenger of God.

Luke 1

1:19 The angel answered him, “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news.

Genesis 2

2:7 The Lord God formed the man from the soil of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

You need to understand what is the breath of life. Let's first deduct what something of His spirit means. If it is part of Allah (God), then it has to be Holy. There is no way you can disagree. Allah (God) gave the gift of His Holy Spirit to Adam.

Surat As-Sajdah (The Prostration)

32:9 But He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him something of His spirit. And He gave you (the faculties of) hearing and sight and feeling (and understanding): little thanks do ye give!

This verse is even more powerful. Allah (God) told Gabriel and all the angels through the power of His Holy Spirit.

Surat Al-Ĥijr (The Rocky Tract)

15:28 And lo! Thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create mortal man out of sounding clay, out of dark slime transmuted;

15:29 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My Spirit, fall down before him in prostration!

Rauch Elohim is the Holy Spirit of God (Allah).

Luke 1

1:26 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth,

1:27 to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, a descendant of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary.

1:28 The angel came to her and said, “Greetings, favored one, the Lord is with you!”

1:29 But she was greatly troubled by his words and began to wonder about the meaning of this greeting.

1:30 So the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God!

1:31 Listen: You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus.

1:32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of his father David.

1:33 He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and his kingdom will never end.”

1:34 Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I have not had sexual relations with a man?”

1:35 The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called the Son of God.

Jesus conception was only possible by Rauch Elohim (Holy Spirit of Allah) by His Supreme power. Gabriel's only authority was that of a messenger, not the creator of Jesus Christ. Hopefully this will clear up your confusion.

Surat Al-'Anbyā' (The Prophets)

21:91 AND [remember] her who guarded her chastity, whereupon We breathed into her of Our spirit and caused her, together with her son, to become a symbol [of Our grace] unto all people.

I have shown you through your own Hadith and Quran that Allah mentioned to Mohammed and Gabriel the power of His Holy Spirit. Your rebuttal did not refute anything. Stating Gabriel is the Holy Spirit of Allah is wrong and has no support.

Surat 'Āli `Imrān (Family of Imran)

3:55 Lo! God said: "O Jesus! Verily, I shall cause thee to die, and shall exalt thee unto Me, and cleanse thee of [the presence of] those who are bent on denying the truth; and I shall place those who follow thee [far] above those who are bent on denying the truth, unto the Day of Resurrection. In the end, unto Me you all must return, and I shall judge between you with regard to all on which you were wont to differ.

Tawaf: When a Muslim arrives to Makkah, he should make Tawaf around the Ka'bah, as a gesture of greeting A1Masjid Al-Haraam. This is done by circling the Ka'bah seven times in the counterclockwise direction, starting from the black stone with Takbeer and ending each circle at the Black Stone with Takbeer, keeping the Ka'bah to one's left. Then the pilgrim goes to Maqam Ibrahim (Ibrahim's Station), and performs two rak'ah behind it, close to it if possible, but away from the path of the people making Tawaf. In all cases one should be facing the Ka'bah when praying behind Maqam Ibrahim.

Sa'i: The next rite is to make Sa'i between Safa and Marwah. The pilgrim starts Sa'i by ascending the Safa. While facing the Ka'bah he praises Allah, raises his hands and says Takbeer "Allah-u Akbar" three times, then makes supplication to Allah. Then the pilgrim descends from the Safa and heads towards the Marwah. One should increase the pace between the clearly marked green posts, but should walk at a normal pace before and after them. When the pilgrim reaches the Marwah, he should ascend it, praise Allah and do as he did at the Safa. This is considered one round and so is the other way from the Marwah to the Safa. A total of seven rounds are required to perform the Sa'i. After Sa'i, the Muslim ends his 'Umrah rites by shaving his head or trimming his hair (women should cut a finger tip's length from their hair). At this stage, the prohibitions pertaining to the state of Ihram are lifted and one can resume his normal life.

There are no required formulas or supplications for Tawaf or for Sa'i. It is up to the worshipper to praise Allah or to supplicate Him with any acceptable supplication or to recite portions of the Qur'an. Although it is recommended to recite the supplications that the Prophet, salla Allah-u alaihe wa salam, used to say during the performance of these rites.

It must be noted that 'Umrah can be performed by itself as described above at any time of the year.

Going out to Mina on the day of Tarwiah

A pilgrim performing Hajj AlTamatt'u should intend Ihram, from the place where he is staying, on the 8th day of Thul-Hijjah, which is the Tarwiah Day, and leave to Mina in the morning. In Mina, the pilgrims pray Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha of the 8th day of ThulHijjah and Fajr of the 9th day of ThulHijjah. Dhuhr, Asr and Isha are each shortened to two Rak'ah only, but are not combined. The pilgrim remains in Mina until sunrise of the 9th day of ThulHijjah and then leaves to Arafat

--- Day 2 of the Pilgrimage (9th of Dhul-Hijjah)

On the second day of the pilgrimage, the pilgrims leave Mina just after dawn to travel to the Plain of Arafat for the culminating experience of the Hajj. On what is known as the "Day of Arafat," the pilgrims spend the entire day standing (or sitting) near the Mount of Mercy, asking Allah for forgiveness and making supplications. Muslims around the world who are not at the pilgrimage join them in spirit by fasting for the day.

After sunset on the Day of Arafat, the pilgrims leave and travel to a nearby open plain called Muzdalifah, roughly halfway between Arafat and Mina. There they spend the night praying, and collecting small stone pebbles to be used the following day.

Departure to Arafat

On the 9th day of Thul-Hijjah, the Day of Arafat, the pilgrims stay in Arafat until sunset. The pilgrims pray Dhuhr and Asr at Arafat, shortened and combined dur ing the time of Dhuhr to save the rest of the day for glorifying Allah and for supplication asking forgiveness. A pilgrim should make sure that he is within the boundaries of Arafat, not necessarily standing on the mountain of Arafat. The Prophet salla Allah-u alaihe wa salam, said: "I stood here on this rocky hill and all Arafat is a standing place" Muslim. One should keep reciting Talbeyah, glorifying Allah the Greatest and repeating supplication. It is also reported that the Prophet, salla Allah-u alaihe wa salam, used to say the following supplication: "There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, the One without a partner. The dominion and the praise are His and He is powerful over everything. " Anas Ibn Malik was asked once how he and his friends used to spend their time while walking from Mina to Arafat in the company of the Prophet, salla Allah-u alaihe wa salam. Anas said: "Some of us used to cry out Talbeyah, others used to glorify Allah the Greatest and the rest used to repeat prayers. Each one of us was free to worship Allah in the way he likes without prejudice or renunciation of his right. " Bukhari.

In the vast square plain of Arafat, tears are shed, sins are washed and faults are redressed for those who ask Allah for forgiveness and offer sincere repentance for their wrong doings in the past. Happy is the person who receives the Mercy and Pleasure of Allah on this particular day.

What is inside the kaaba?

There are two pillars inside (others report 3 pillars)

There is a table on the side to put items like perfume

There are two lantern-type lamps hanging from the ceiling

The space can accommodate about 50 people

There are no electric lights inside

The walls and floors are of marble

There are no windows inside

There is only one door

The upper inside walls of the kaaba were covered with some kind of curtain with the Kalima written on it.

The departure from Arafat

Soon after sunset on the Day of Arafat, the pilgrims leave for Muzdalifah quietly and reverently in compliance with the advice of the Prophet, salla Allah-u alaihe wa salam, who said when he noticed people walking without calmness: "O people! Be quiet, hastening is not a sign of righteousness." Bukhari. In order to follow the example of the Prophet, salla Allah-u alaihe wa salam, it is preferable to keep reciting the Talbeyah, glorifying Allah the Greatest and mentioning the name of Allah until the time of stoning Jamrat Al-Aqabah (a stone pillar in Mina). In Muzdalifah, the pilgrim performs Maghrib and Isha prayers combined, shortening the Isha prayer to two Rak'ah.Pilgrims stay overnight in Muzdalifah to perform the Fajr prayer and wait until the brightness of the morning is widespread before they leave to Mina passing through the sacred Mash'ar valley.

Women and weak individuals are allowed to proceed to Mina at any time after midnight to avoid the crowd.

Stoning Jamrat Al-Aqabah

When the pilgrims arrive at Mina, they go to Jamrat Al-Aqabah where they stone it with seven pebbles glorifying Allah "Allah-u Akbar" at each throw and calling on Him to accept their Hajj. The time of stoning Jamrat Al-Aqabah is after sunrise. The Prophet, salla Allah-u alaihe wa salam, threw the pebbles late in the morning and permitted weak people to stone after leaving Muzdalifah after midnight. The size of the pebbles should not be more than that of a bean as described by the Prophet, salla Allahu alaihe wa salam, who warned against exaggeration. The pebbles can be picked up either in Muzdalifah or in Mina.

After stoning Jamrat Al-Aqabah, the pilgrim goes to slaughter his sacrifice either personally or through the appointment of somebody else to do it on his behalf. A pilgrim should slaughter either a sheep, or share a cow or a camel with six others.

Shaving the head or trimming the hair

The final rite on the tenth day after offering his sacrifice is to shave one' s head or to cut some of the hair. Shaving the head is, however, preferable for it was reported that the Prophet prayed three times for those who shaved their heads, when he said: "May Allah's Mercy be upon those who shaved their heads." Bukhari and Muslim. For women, the length of hair to be cut is that of a finger tip. The stoning of Jamrat Al-Aqabah and the shaving of head or trimming of hair symbolizes the end of the first phase of the state of Ihram and the lifting of its restrictions except for intimate intercourse with one's spouse. Stoning Jamrat Al-Aqabah, slaughtering the sacrifice and shaving the head or cutting part of the hair are preferred to be in this order, as it is the order that the Prophet, salla Allah-u alaihe wa salam, did them. However, if they are done in any other order, there is no harm in that.

Tawaf Al-Ifadhah

Tawaf Al-Ifadhah is a fundamental rite of Hajj. The pilgrim makes Tawaf-AIIfadhah by visiting Al-Masjid AlHaraam and circling the Ka'bah seven times and praying two Rak'ah behind Maqam Ibrahim. Then the pilgrim should make Sa'i between the Safa and the Marwah. After Tawaf Al-Ifadhah the state of Ihram is completely ended and all restrictions are lifted including intimate intercourse with one's spouse.

Tawaf Al-Ifadhah can be delayed until the days spent at Mina are over.

Return to Mina

The pilgrim should return to Mina and spend there the days of Tashreeq (i.e. the I I th, 1 2th and 1 3th day of Thul-Hijjah). l During each day, and after Dhuhr prayer, | the pilgrim stones the three stone pillars called "Jamarat": The small, the medium and Jamrat Al-Aqabah, glorifying Allah "Allah-u Akbar" with each throw of the seven pebbles stoned at each pillar. These pebbles are picked up in Mina. A l Pilgrim may leave Mina to Makkah on the 13th of Thul-Hijjah or on the 12th if he wishes, there is no blame on him if he chooses the later, but he has to leave before sunset.

Farewell Tawaf

Farewell Tawaf is the final rite of Hajj. It is to make another Tawaf around the Ka'bah. Ibn Abbas said: "The people were ordered to perform the Tawaf around the Ka'bah as the last thing before leaving Makkah, except the menstruating women who were excused." Bukhari.

103. Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering);

"It is not their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah; it is your piety that reaches Him." (Qur'an 22:37)

Indeed, it was the greatest test of all, the sacrificing of his only child, one born to him after he had reached an old age and years of longing for progeny. Here, Abraham showed his willingness to sacrifice all his belongings for God, and for this reason, he was designated a leader of all humanity, one whom God blessed with a progeny of Prophets.

The Five Pillars of Islam
.

1) Faith | 2) Prayer | 3) The 'Zakat'
4) The Fast | 5) Pilgrimage (Hajj)

There is no god worthy of worship except God and Muhammad is His messenger.

The principle in Islam regarding Hajj is that if one has debt, and if after paying that debt, there is not enough funds left for one to perform the Hajj, then the pilgrimage of Hajj is not obligatory on that person.

Hajj is only obligatory on a person, if he can afford to do so; after paying all his debts. It is better and purer for the person to pay and clear his debts, than to perform the Hajj pilgrimage. And it is not permissible that a person stops paying his installments, to save for the Hajj pilgrimage; unless, of course, the person whom he owes the money, of his/her own free will and without any pressure, allows the person to delay the payment of the debt, to facilitate the Hajj of the debtor. But if the one who is owed the money, demands his/her money; then it is purer for the person to arrange to pay the debt, and delay his Hajj for the following year.

The annual pilgrimage to Makkah - the Hajj - is an obligation only for those who are physically and financially able to perform it. Nevertheless, about two million people go to Makkah each year from every corner of the globe providing a unique opportunity for those of different nations to meet one another. Although Makkah is always filled with visitors, the annual Hajj begins in the twelfth month of the Islamic year (which is lunar, not solar, so that Hajj and Ramadan fall sometimes in summer, sometimes in winter). Pilgrims wear special clothes: simple garments which strip away distinctions of class and culture, so that all stand equal before God.

Some examples

1. The ruling regarding proceeding for Hajj while having an interest based impermissible loan.
2. The validity of having an interest based loan in western non muslim majority countries.
3. The validity of Hajj, while making interest based payments, upon one's return from Hajj.

slaughtered by mentioning Bismillaah ("in the Name of Allaah") and Takbeer ("Allaahu Akbar") is completely free of all disease-causing germs, while the meat that does not have the Name of Allaah mentioned when it is slaughtered is full of germs and congested with blood.

A team of researchers and university professors in Syria made this scientific discovery that explains the remarkable difference regarding the absence of germs in meat that is slaughtered with Takbeer, in comparison to the meat that does not have Takbeer mentioned when it is slaughtered.

A group of 30 specialists in different branches of medicine such as laboratory medicine, pathology, food sciences, anatomical pathology, animal health, digestive diseases and the digestive system conducted laboratory experiments over a period of three years to study the difference between animals slaughtered with mentioning the Name of Allaah and the animals slaughtered without mentioning the Name of Allaah upon them.

The research affirmed the importance of mentioning the Name of Allaah (Bismllaah and Allaahu Akbar) on the animal at the time of slaughter. Dr. Khaalid Halaawah, spokesman for this group of researchers, explains that repeated tests showed that the tissues of the animals that did not have the Name of Allaah and Takbeer mentioned at their slaughter were congested with blood, and full of colonies of pathogens (disease-causing microorganisms). On the other hand, the meat of the animal that had been slaughtered with the mention of Bismillaah and Allaahu Akbar was free of germs and completely drained of all blood.

In his interview with Kuna News Agency, Dr. Halaawah added that this great discovery is a scientific breakthrough in the field of the consumer health and safety.

Another member of the team of researchers, Professor ‘Abdul-Qaadir Al-Deeraani said,

People have not yet realized the wisdom behind mentioning the Name of Allaah on the slaughtered animal. Consequently, they neglect and leave off pronouncing the Name of Allaah and Takbeer when the cattle and birds are slaughtered. This, however, made me introduce this issue with an academic and scientific approach, showing its importance and significance for human society. I based this study upon the explanation of the eminent scholar Muhammad Ameen Sheekho in his Quranic teachings and lessons, that the animal that is slaughtered without mentioning the Name of Allaah on it will have blood remaining therein and cannot be in any way free from germs.”

It is worth mentioning here that Allaah The Almighty has commanded mentioning Bismillaah when slaughtering animals. Allaah The Almighty Says (what means):

{So eat of that [meat] upon which the Name of Allaah has been mentioned, if you are believers in His verses.} [Quran 6: 18]

{And do not eat of that upon which the Name of Allaah has not been mentioned, for indeed, it is grave disobedience.} [Quran 6: 121]

{And those upon which the Name of Allaah is not mentioned.} [Quran 6: 138]

Professor ‘Abdul-Qaadir Ad-Deeraani said that at the outset of the study, the research team took the matter of pronouncing Bismillaah and Takbeer lightly and doubted it; however, they were amazed with the first results and paid close attention to it thereafter. The team discovered that mentioning the Name of Allaah has an amazing, some might even say 'miraculous' effect, through the absence of all kinds of germs from the meat on which the Name of Allaah was mentioned during the slaughter. Their tissues were free of blood. On the contrary, the meat on which the Name of Allaah was not mentioned during the slaughter was full of blood and colonies of pathogens.

Regarding the research methodology adopted by the medical team, Dr. Nabeel Ash-Shareef, ex-dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, at Damascus University, said that microbiological studies were conducted on many samples of bird, cow and sheep meat on which the Name of Allaah was loudly recited during the slaughter and that on which the Name of Allaah was not mentioned at the time of slaughter. He added that the samples were soaked in 10% Dettol solution. An hour later, a piece of meat was taken from each sample and cultured in Neoglucol cultivated solution.

He added that 24 hours following the incubation in a dry heating device at a temperature of 37 Centigrade, suitable parts were transferred to the following solid cultures: Nutritive Agar, Blood base Agar, and EMB. They were then left in the heating device for 48 hours.

He continued that a change in color was noticed between the two different samples: the first sample on which the Name of Allaah was mentioned was ros-colored, whereas the second, on which the Name of Allaah was not mentioned was dark bluish- red.

Dr. Ash- Shareef said that the samples were studied microbiologically and the following was observed: the samples on which the Name of Allaah was mentioned loudly did not show any germ growth. Neoglucol appeared to be clear and free of germs and viruses. On the samples on which the Name of Allaah was not mentioned, Neoglucol appeared to be very turbid indicating a large growth of germs.

Dr. Ash-Shareef added that after 48 hours of transferring the above- mentioned surroundings, the following results appeared: There was a large growth of streptococcus and staphylococcus colonies. The EMB helps to grow Gram negative bacteria like Bacilli and E. Coli bacilli, as well as an intensive growth of germs was detected in the Nutritive Agar.

Dr. Ash-Shareef said that a larger number of white blood corpuscles were noticed in the muscular tissue, and a larger number of red-blood corpuscles in the blood vessels in the samples on which the Name of Allaah was not recited, whereas, the tissue of meat on which the Name of Allaah was recited were almost free of these blood corpuscles.

Dr. Fu’aad Ni‘mah, professor of veterinary medicine, said that the vigorous movements of the animal's organs and muscles produced by mentioning the Name of Allaah during the slaughter ensures the outflow of the greatest amount of blood from the slaughtered animal. When the Name of Allaah is not mentioned during slaughter, a large amount of this blood stays in its body and this allows many disease-causing germs that are already present in it to grow and increase in number. If the consumer eats this meat, these pathogens would penetrate the mucous membrane of the stomach and enter all the organs of the body through the bloodstream, causing various diseases like food poisoning, toxicosis and inflammation of the cardiac muscles.

Professor Daarim Tabaa‘i, general health specialist and head of the Animal Protection Project in Syria, mentioned in some countries were killed (i.e. slaughtered) using harmful methods such as suffocation by gas, electric shock or by shooting. These methods allow the blood to remain in the body of the animal, making it a conducive environment for the growth of various pathogens. These methods also cause the animal greater suffering and pain, which is reflected in the color of meat, which becomes bluish. On the other hand, mentioning the Name of Allaah at the time of slaughter causes minimal suffering.

Eid ul Adha commences on the 10th day of Dhul Hijjah. For those who are not at the pilgrimage, it begins with an extra early morning prayer performed in congregation, called the Eid prayer. It is a time of celebration, a time to visit family and friends and thank God for all the blessings He has bestowed upon us. It demands contact with relatives, kindness to family and neighbours, and empathy and compassion for the poor. Above all Eid ul Adha reminds us that God is great and that He is the source of all bounties. Through the good times and the trying times God is the source of all comfort and all peace, and submission to Him brings the greatest benefits of all.

Making the pilgrimage is often called following in the footsteps of Ibrahim. This is due to the fact that the rituals involved in the pilgrimage replicate many of the events in Prophet Ibrahim’s life. Eid ul Adha commemorates a specific trial in the life of Ibrahim. He was commanded by God to sacrifice, his son Ishmael. Eid ul Adha occurs on the 10th day of Dhul Hijjah, the day on which most of the Hajj rites have been preformed and the pilgrims slaughter an animal to honour Prophet Ibrahim’s obedience to God.

“Surely Ibrahim was an example, obedient to God, by nature upright, and he was not of the polytheists. He was grateful for Our bounties. We chose him and guided him unto a right path. We gave him good in this world, and in the next he will most surely be among the righteous.” (Quran 16:120-121)

In a divinely inspired dream, Ibrahim saw himself sacrificing his son Ishmael. All members of Ibrahim’s family demonstrated complete trust in God, therefore Ibrahim revealed the dream to Ishmael. He readily agreed that his father must carry out the command of God. Together they went to the place of sacrifice and offered Ishmael’s life to God. Ibrahim prepared to sacrifice his beloved son. At this point the shaytaan (satan) tempted Ibrahim trying to make him disobey God, but Ibrahim resisted and drove the shaytaan away. Ibrahim looked down at his son for what he believed was the last time but as the blade came close to Ishmael’s neck God stayed his hand and revealed that there was no need for Ibrahim to continue. His sacrifice had already been fulfilled.

Giving up something big for the sake of God, such as the life of your child, must seem like a huge and unimaginable sacrifice. Today even going without something small, such as a cup of coffee, to donate the money to charity seems like a large sacrifice. Try to imagine how Ibrahim must have felt as he held the blade above his child’s neck. In the last moment he was relieved of his duty to follow God’s commands. Having complete trust in God, knowing with certainty that God knows and wants what is best for us is often difficult, but it should not be.

“…And whosoever fears God and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine….” (Quran 65:2-3)

God replaced Ishmael with a sheep and it is for this reason that Muslims sacrifice an animal on the celebration of Eid ul Adha; however it is more than a celebration, it is a reminder. We are reminded of our own submission to the will of God. Those Muslim’s who are not making the pilgrimage and who can afford it sacrifice an animal in remembrance of Prophet Ibrahim’s test.

“Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you….” (Quran 22:37)

The act of animal sacrifice is often misunderstood. God has no need for the blood or the meat; in fact God has no need for any of our acts of worship. However for our own benefit God commands us to turn to Him and obey Him. God looks for our piety, our goodness and our charity. The animal sacrificed is usually a sheep, a goat or a cow.

Distributing the meat from the sacrifice of Eid al-Adha strengthens many of our efforts to please God with our piety. Usually, a portion is eaten by the immediate family and relatives, a portion is given away to friends and neighbours and a portion is donated to the poor. The act symbolizes our willingness to give up our bounties to strengthen ties of kinship and friendship and our enthusiasm to give up things that are of benefit to us in order to help those who are in need. In the sacrifice we recognize that all blessings come from God.
