Media Needs to Stop Promoting Violence

Recommended Posts

I picked up the front page of the Washington Post today. Instead of focusing on the victims, the killer was promoted to the front page with a montage of photos. This has now made him famous.

This got me thinking on whether the gun laws are really to blame. I do agree that no one should be able to purchase a gun or ammunition online. That is completely crazy.

I am a huge advocate of free speech. But, I am not a huge advocate of the promotion of violence and **adult material**. Especially to our youth.

You can write all the laws you want. But, that does not seem to deter violence. What we need is to send a message of responsibility to all our media leaders. We are going down a slippery slope of losing our ethics and morality.
