Mayor Adrian Fenty on Thursday said he is reviewing his policy of taking city government workers and police with him on out-of-town trips for political purposes. D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty made six trips to campaign for Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama at a cost of about $50,000 to D.C. taxpayers. If Sen. Barack Obama asked Fenty to make those trips then the Obama campaign should have fronted all costs but if not, then Fenty should out of his own pocket reimburse the city as what he did had nothing to do with city business.
