FINALLY PROOF THAT WARD 3 CANDIDATE SAM BROOKS SOLD OUT THE GLBT PEOPLE. Sam Brooks a candidate for the ward 3 city council seat says he supports the GLBT people but that has proven to be a lie! Can anybody deny that Ward 3 city council candidate Sam Brooks did not take over $10 grand from well know homophobe Jack Quinn a retired US Congressman and his homophobic employees? The proof is contained within Sam Brooks own 01-31-06 campaign finance filing? Go to his rival Rees\' website and look at Brooks filing but specifically for all contributions from Jack Pak, Jack Quinn and all persons using the mailing address of Cassidy & Associates and their spouses using other addresses. Brooks is attacking his rivals like a pit-bull dog out of anger for being exposed as a liar and enemy of all Gay, Lesbian, Bi and Transgender people and this is making him go nuts that he cannot stop lying and attacking his rivals. He has attacked Jonathan Rees for a long time, he has attacked Professor Mary Cheh, he has attacked former DDOT candidate Bill Rice and only God knows whom else he has attacked. Ask Sam Brooks rivals if they have been attacked and by whom…..!!!!!!! See the proof >>>>>> http://rees-for-citycouncil.com/homophobe.pdf SAM BROOKS NUMBER ONE SUPPORT MARTIN AUSTERMUHLE UPON SEEING THE PROOF BROOKS SOLD OUT THE GLBT PEOPLE ABANDON HIM AND WILL NOT LONGER SUPPORT HIM OR SPEAK ILL OF HIS RIVALS. BROOKS IS A THREAT TO ALL GAY, LESBIAN, BI AND TRANSGENDERED PEOPLE AND IT NOW HAS FINALLY BEEN PROVEN HE LIED TO THE GLAA, STEIN DEMOCRATS, ETC!

Jonathan Rees and Multiple Aliases
scooper replied to bfrankdc's topic in District of Columbia Politics
Bfrank...Rees has always from what I have seen had a VERIZON account. -
As a union man, I attended tonight the AFL-CIO ward 3 debate put on by the AFL-CIO endorsement committee which was held at the IBEW union hall on Kansas Ave, NE. All the candidates including Rees participated but Cathy Wiss and Sam Brooks chose not to participate or seek a rating or endorsement from the AFL-CIO.

This morning, the DC Board of Elections and Ethics begun handing out the nomination petitions to all candidates and believe it or not, Jonathan Rees and Sam Brooks along with Vincent Organge were the first to walk in the door. Organge and Rees picked up their nomination petitions and Brooks finally filed his decalaration of candidacy which he had not done to date. Before Brooks and Rees left, they were confronted by the City Paper's notorious Loose Lips. Brooks was talking only about his town hall meeting tomorrow and Rees was questioned about the fact that while the DC Hospital Association and other healthcare groups have not made any official endorsement, it seems like they have unofficially favoring Rees by internal but subtle efforts to get workers in ward 3 to vote for Rees. Rees was smiling at Loose Lips while one of Brooks boys was listening on. Rees walked out telling Loose Lips that either Brooks or he would win this election as the others have been sitting back on their asses thinking that their name is enough.

Aren't you a resident of Glover Park? Then why are you the moderator of the Spring Valley list server if you do not live there? Nelson Jacobsen posted in the Spring Valley list server what we see below. Also two of my friends says that Jacobsen does moderate one of the Glover Park list servers as he has bounced them off it. PROOF: Just to let everyone know that I recently removed a member after asking them to only reply with commercial solicitations directly to the member seeking services that this member offers. While we do not have too many rules on these here fang-dangled listservs posting your businesses offerings over and over and over again seem too much. As well I sent an email directly to the member asking them not too and they did again. Tips on getting messages they way you want them. If you would like to have the way you get your emails from these groups changed please visit the group page and edit you membership. The choices are: 1. Individual Emails, which means you get emails as they come in. 2. Daily Digest, which gives you each days post once a day. 3. Special Notices, which only delivers emails that are important and very rarely used. 4. No Email, which means that you would not have them coming to your in box and you would have to read them on the group's page. A great choice for vacation periods. If you are having problems with making this work for you please send me an email stating your request and I will make them for you. NelsonJacobsen@yahoo.com We do have a number of events coming up in and around the city which will be posted on the listservs and you should post your events and thoughts. Here to Serve, Nelson

Thank you Truthseeker but this whole political thing is a big lie and that why so many people are turned off by elections, the candidates and the promises that will probably never be kept. -
WARD 3 CANDIDATES IN TROUBLE?
scooper replied to News Blaster's topic in District of Columbia Politics
Not so dude. Most of the candidate have yard sign and handbills floating around. -
I hate it when Rees goes on vacation

Is this message board a new version of Reservoir Dogs? -
I did look Sternlieb up but most of the stuff was several years old and did not tell me if he was still connected with DC Vote.
-
Look under your beds, closets or under the kitchen sink as he must be in close proximity. Last I heard, he was shuffling along upper Connecticut Avenue like Igor in the back woods of Transylvania.

Does anybody know?

I hate it when Rees goes on vacation
scooper replied to aglue's topic in District of Columbia Politics
Aglue, Rees is not taking a seista, he is busy walking up and down the streets of our ward like a charcter in the movie Night of The Living Dead giving out his papers. Just leave him out there and do not wish him back. -
Bfrank must be a graduate of Galludet University as he does not speak but just makes signs.

This weekend, three of the ward three candidates were up and down my area of the ward (Palisades) going door to door attempting to meet voters for the first time. First Bill Rice appeared Saturday. Second Mary Cheh appeared on Sunday. Last Sam Brooks came around a few hours after Mary Cheh did. Prior to that, Jonathan Rees had hit us twice and Erik Gaull once with each of them flooding the Palisades with their campaign literature in a far bigger way than the other three did. Unfortunately, the Palisades is Erik Gaull's home turf but most voted against him last time he ran against Kathy Patterson and he is well hated here and that may be why he set up his campaign headquarters in Tenleytown. There are too many candidates that is a turn off to me at least and some of my friends think a large field of candidates can make it easier for any of them to win whereas the winner might not if it was just two or three running. It is getting exciting ------ NOT as they are all boring and say nothing new.

Politics: More Gay Bashing from the Pulpit Posted by James Jones - Washington City Paper Bishop Alfred A. Owens Jr.—pastor of the Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church, one of the city's largest congregations—had a clever theme for his April 9 service. His sermon was titled “Fan or Follower!” Owens, who is an honorary member of Mayor Anthony A. Williams’ Interfaith Council, delivered a message urging congregants to be move beyond being fans of the church to becoming followers of the righteous path. He also made clear that one segment of his congregation is not welcome on that path: gay men. During a dramatic presentation on how strong men follow the teachings of the church, he pointed out that “real men” for the Lord are straight. “It takes a real man to confess Jesus as Lord and Savior. I'm not talking about no *happy person** or no sissy,” said Owens on a church tape recording. “Wait a minute! Let all the real men come on down here and take a bow,” he said, inviting them to the front of the church. “All the real men—I'm talking about the straight men,” he preached. “You ain’t funny and you ain’t cranky, but you're straight. Come on down here and walk around and praise God that you are straight. Thank him that you're straight. All the straight men that's proud to be a Christian, that's proud to be a man of God.” Owens did not return calls seeking comment. One attendee of the service, who describes himself as a gay, says the house was packed for the Palm Sunday service. He and “about 20” other closeted gay men in the crowd, he says, felt they had no choice but to join Owens’ spontaneous celebration of straightness. He calls the bishop's message “offensive” because it suggests “it is impossible to be gay and serve God.” He also objects to Owens’ use of “*happy person**” and “sissy” to describe gay men. “If I wasn't delivered,” he says, “I wouldn't have been delivered on that day.” The Bishop's anti-gay rhetoric is no surprise coming from the No. 2 man in the conservative Mount Calvary Holy Church of America Inc. Gay activists say Owens has a history of homophobic sermons, but add that his congregation include numerous gay members. Sermons less than welcoming to the gay community are nothing new in D.C. The Rev. Willie Wilson of Anacostia's Union Temple Baptist Church delivered a strident anti-gay sermon last summer, warning that lesbianism was about to “take over our community.” His comments stoked a outrage in the gay community and prompted many city leaders to denounce the politically powerful minister. Owens doesn't share Wilson's loaded political history, but his sermon celebrating straight men adds fuel to the simmering battle between the city's conservative churches and the politically powerful gay community. Owens’ 7,000-member Northeast congregation has long been a regular election-season campaign stop for city politicians, even though most members of the church live in Prince George's County, Md. Last month, Owens offered up his church as the venue for Ward 5 Councilmember and mayoral candidate Vincent Orange's “State of Ward 5” address. The D.C. Council also passed the “Bishop Alfred A. Owens Jr. Recognition Resolution” in 2004, for his church's work in the community on drug treatment and HIV/AIDS prevention. Ward 8 activist Philip Pannell says the bishop “has a longstanding record of homophobia. I literally will not step in his church,” says Pannell, who is gay. The mayor's religious advisor, Dr. Susan Newman, says Owens is a non-voting “honorary member” of the council, based on his leadership post in the national Mount Calvary church. Owens, she says, has not attended a meeting of the council for more than a year. “He's not one of the high-profile, politically active pastors that you might see on the news,” she says. Newman says the sermons of any Interfaith Council member do not reflect the views of the mayor's council. At 11:27 PM, Anonymous said... If we are going to talk about Homophobes we should not leave out of the discussion Sam Brooks a candidate for city council who by the official records of the DC Office of Campaign Finance accepted over $10,000.00 from a group of homophobes working for former U.S. Representative Jack Quinn of New York. Nobody is going to deny that Rep Jack Quinn is a homophobe! Nobody is going to deny that Sam Brooks sought out homophobes to finance his political campaign! Nobody is in their right mind can deny that Sam Brooks lied to the glbt community about his support of them. So let us not forget to add Sam Brooks to that list of homophobes when CP seems compelled to do one story after another about homophobes!

IS THIS THE LIE BFRANK YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT
scooper posted a topic in District of Columbia Politics
http://thelyingeyesofsambrooks.blogspot.com/ I think everything stated herein has proven to be true according to what others tell me and that you jerks are really posting in defense of one of your brothers to help cover up his long string of lies and to go after the person you believe discovered the lies of your brother. It makes sense to me but who cares as they are all losers. -
To you they are lies but to others they might be truths. Who is to judge. Spam is not a crime only that sociliting.

I should be laughing at you for wasting so much of your time debating Jonathan Rees and that makes him in my eyes a better person than you as you like others have allowed him to upset you so much that you cannot let go and keep on coming at him. If you were the better person which obviously you are not, then you would ignore him and move on.

MARTIN AUSTERMUHLE IS BFRANKDC..?
scooper replied to News Blaster's topic in District of Columbia Politics
and you get all bent out of shape over someone playing games with your head. This says that he controls you that you allow him to illicit a response. Bravo! -
You clearly are not saying anything intelling but rambling on like a madman about Jonathan Rees as if he is your preoccupation in life.

Post blog pulls his posts - at long last
scooper replied to truthseeker's topic in District of Columbia Politics
I suppose that you can do better than Jonathan Rees comprehending the complexities of legislative language? So what qualifies you? You sound more like a BS artist than anything as well as a person with a touch of paranoia. -
It would apprear that this Truthseeker has confirmed what I just posted and that is, he is another internet nut case.
-
Again I question your sanity when you seem to have a long string of posts assuming you are here to post things you believe are being posted by Jonathan Rees which takes away from any credibility you might have. In other words, you sound like just one more nut case on the internet.
