Nowhere tonight is DC Message Board posting any IP addresses and thus the fact that you respond as we clock it within 18 seconds of our posting with all IP addresses lends itself to a very valid claim that someone inside DC Message Board is involved in this sham as no outsider could see and respond as fast as an insider. You see people when they log in, you see their IP address, you wait for them to post and then zippity doo you fire back. Only someone inside DC Pages could move that fast. Furthermore, you are listed not as holding a membership with DC Message Board. Slowly but surely you are giving yourselves away although it took time to narrow it down. The notably email newsletter DC WATCH has announced that a few people attempting to post alias complaints against Jonathan Rees will be denied unless they give their real name, address, phone number and email address. DC Watch has now in its possessions photographs taken of SAM BROOKS tearing down political posters of Jonathan Rees at the intersection of Connecticut Avenue NW and Tilden Street NW. We stung Sam Brooks by putting up Rees posters, laid in wait and when he came around near his home and saw the posters, he proceed to tear them down and we snapped photos of him doing it. Now Rees has the ultimate weapon to prove that SAM BROOKS has been doing wrong and will present these photographs in public forums to show that it was SAM BROOKS who started the smear campaign!

Brooks and his allies post different things every day on about 20 different message boards but when they post, they post the same message but use a different screen name to do it. The names are many but usually they come under B Frank, Frank B, JT Frank, District Information, Truthseeker, Factchecker2, Joe Kerr, Joe Deluth, Jacqueline, avoterinward3, joycemarie20008 and more. That is why he spend so much time here on the internet under a long string of aliases trying to win through a smear campaign because he cannot match Rees, his man power or brain power. So since Brooks is a loser and lost bad last time round, he is again making the same mistakes he did in 2004. If Brooks was not intimidated by Rees then he would go away and have a real campaign and be out on the streets now like the other three active candidates are. The following was emailed early today to 6,000 voters in ward 3 and placed on numerous blogs: Back in August 2005 when I announced my candidacy by placing announcements on various blogs, message boards and the like, I started being attacked with some very vicious allegations that I was an ex-convict with a record of pedophilia, spousal abuse and more. I did not know who was doing it. I hired an IT guy out of Springfield, Virginia to help track down the culprit and he did. We discovered that despite the various screen names, the IP ADDRESS were all the same as the IP ADDRESS belonging to SAM BROOKS. I was then informed that when SAM BROOKS ran for office previously, there was a lesser smear campaign launched by SAM BROOKS against Kwame Brown and Harold Brazil. Since BROOKS became aware that we had discovered his little game, he has not stopped with his efforts to smear me and continues it day in and day out but now hides his IP ADDRESS behind a proxy address and he uses a long string of various screen names. About two months ago in order to get some media attention; Brooks began a smear campaign against himself to make it look like someone was calling him a racist. He then took that lie to the Washington Post, Washington Blade and Washington Examiner knowing he was lying to them. They all gave him a small story. My concern is, since there is a record of BROOKS smearing his rivals in past efforts and now me, I wonder what he might have in store for other candidates that are soon to enter the race once they erect a web page and go full blast with their campaigns. BROOKS continues to demand a debate and when I keep on refusing it, the very same day I refuse, the attacks on me intensify with allegations that I am not a real candidate, that I am obstructing real candidates to enter the race and I am denying voters a chance to hear the candidates on the issues. SAM BROOKS\' campaign manager is ANC Commissioner Tamela Gordon but I do not think she is aware of what he is doing. Of recent, SAM BROOKS is getting help in his smear campaign from one of his former lovers Martin Austermuhle who is a writer for the blog known as DCist. Austermuhle has always given Brooks coverage on his blog but never offered it to Brazil, Brown and etcetera. Three nights ago, it was placed all over the internet that SAM BROOKS & COMPANY was behind the smear campaign and it was very detailed. As a result of this, two blogs shut down and all went running to delete all postings that might have been placed by BROOKS and the some 27 alias names he has used, his partner in crime Martin Austermuhle has panicked and become very silent. The only reason I bring this to your attention is, I think the candidates want a clean campaign but based upon what I have experienced to date, BROOKS so far in his short political career does not want that and has smeared every rival he has faced. I believe that if we do not entertain him, he will become very upset and the attacks will continue but he does this to get attention and name recognition. If you look at his website, he claims that he has already gotten over $12k in campaign contributions which I believe is untrue unless it is his own money or was given to him by his family. LOOSE LIPS of the Washington City Paper has a problem with BROOKS in that BROOKS may not in truth live in Ward 3 and more. In sum, this is sad what he is doing and I hope all other candidates do not become his next target and that we not give him what he wants so badly and that is, a series of debates where Martin Austermuhle has offered to sponsor such along with other allies of BROOKS. It means that Brooks & Company has to date and counting 27 different screen names and some of these names he used in 2004 when engaging in a smear campaign against former political adversaries.

Rees was not snooping on anyone but like all other political candidates, he was referencing lists that were provide to him by these bodies which are available to any citizen that asks.

If you check the archives of DCist, you will find a few stories and/or interviews of Samuel A.C. Brooks but you will find no such stories or interviews of anybody who ran against Brooks. Why? Because his former gay lover Martin Austermuhle who controls DCist would not allow anyone running against his former lover to get any of his media coverage and anyone who appeared to pose as a threat, would be attacked by Austermuhle. The DC PAGES message board on politics is hilarious especially the never ending war of words between the evil forces of Martin Austermuhle and Jonathan Rees. Unless people are out of touch with reality, these postings attempting to besmirch this guy Rees is clearly being posted by an opponent or someone working for that opponent and/or a strong supporter and we the voters are not as dumb as the poster thinks we might be. Council member Marion Barry tested positive for cocaine use in the fall in a drug test ordered by a court after he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor tax charges, according to two sources familiar with Barry's case. Barry, who served four terms as mayor and was elected to the Ward 8 council seat in 2004, has since begun treatment for drug use, the sources said, but Barry's failure to pass the mandatory drug test puts him in legal jeopardy. Because he violated the terms of his release, Barry, 69, faces an increased risk of serving the maximum 18 months behind bars -- rather than probation -- for his failure to file tax returns for six years. He is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 8, but a federal judge could jail him or sanction him at any time. Interviewed last night in his Howard University Hospital room, where he's being treated for hypertension, Barry (D) did not deny accounts of his drug test and treatment. But he declined to discuss his case. "Write what you want to write," he told a Washington Post reporter. "That's my official quote. No more, no less." Barry pleaded guilty Oct. 28 to the misdemeanor tax charges, and as a condition of being released on his own recognizance, he was required to undergo drug testing soon after, court records show. But, according to two sources close to Barry and an official familiar with his case, the court's probation office notified U.S. Magistrate Judge Deborah A. Robinson and prosecutors in or around November that Barry's test result was positive for drug use. Two of the three sources said the drug was cocaine. The sources asked not to be identified because a court case is pending. Robinson has not revoked Barry's bond or ordered him jailed pending sentencing, as she could have because of the drug infraction, according to court records. Nor did prosecutors seek to cancel their plea agreement with Barry, in which they had said they would not oppose his effort to seek probation at sentencing. It's not unusual for defendants to fail drug tests and remain free while awaiting sentencing, court officials said. Judges sometimes will order them to undergo treatment or submit to increased testing. Barry's attorney, Frederick D. Cooke Jr., sought for Barry to undergo drug treatment to show in the weeks before sentencing that his failed drug test was a relatively minor, one-time infraction of his release terms, according to a law enforcement source. The goal would be to avoid having Barry arrested for failing to comply with his release terms and to avoid tougher sentencing for the tax crimes. The tax case involves Barry's failure to pay most of his federal and D.C. income taxes for six years after his fourth term as mayor ended in January 1999. Prosecutors said he received more than $530,000 in income over the next six years but did not document most of it. Barry's plea agreement also calls for him to make arrangements to resolve his tax debts. Cooke declined to comment yesterday evening on Barry's status. Channing Phillips, spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office in the District, said yesterday that he would neither confirm nor deny that Barry had violated a condition of his release. "We will decline to comment until we are back before the court since it is pending sentencing," Phillips said. Barry was in the news last week when he held a news conference to describe an incident in which he was robbed in his kitchen Jan. 2 by two assailants who had helped him carry groceries from his car to his third-floor apartment in Southeast Washington. They pointed a gun at Barry's face and stole his wallet, which police said contained more than $200, his driver's license and two credit cards. Drug problems and speculation about drug use have plagued Barry through much of the latter part of his three-decades-long political career. In 1990, during his third term as mayor, Barry was arrested at the Vista Hotel after being videotaped smoking crack, an image that for years has haunted him and the city he led. Barry's arrest was followed by seven weeks in treatment centers in Florida and South Carolina. He repeatedly invoked God upon his return, in keeping, a spokesman said at the time with his 12-step, faith-based treatment program. At the time, in an apology to a group of 900 seniors, Barry said: "I thought I could drown this hurt, this pain with some alcohol and some chemicals." After serving six months for cocaine possession in the Vista incident, Barry led a political comeback in 1992, winning a D.C. Council seat and then a fourth term as mayor two years later. While preparing to run in 2002 for an at-large council seat, U.S. Park Police reported that they found a trace of marijuana and $5 worth of crack cocaine in Barry's Jaguar while he was parked at Buzzard Point in Southwest Washington. Police never charged Barry, but his wife, Cora Masters Barry, filed for separation soon after, and Barry scrapped his campaign plans. He ultimately campaigned for a Ward 8 seat in 2004, and claimed in interviews that the Park Police had planted the drugs in his car, and won the election. After he was reelected to a fourth term as mayor, Barry said in an interview with Post reporters and editors that he'd made "a remarkable recovery," responding to the criticism by some that he had returned to the rigorous job of mayor too soon. Two years later, in 1996, when he took a sudden retreat, Barry said he felt control of his life slipping away, and he had begun smoking cigarettes again, something he had not done in years. But he denied having a relapse with drugs and alcohol. Barry has recently had numerous health troubles. A cancer survivor, Barry has diabetes and high blood pressure and was hospitalized at least three times last year. That included when, soon after he was inaugurated to the council exactly one year ago, he was treated in the intensive-care unit at Howard University for a bacterial infection with flu-like symptoms. This is a very bad reporting of a public record. I believe that this Rees guy is reported in 2005 as being 51 years old. In 1999, this story reports that Rees was 43. Let us do the mathematics. REES 2005 51 years old 2004 50 years old 2003 49 Years old 2002 48 years old 2001 47 years old 2000 46 years old 1999 45 years old. 1 + 1 does not equal this Rees guy. Now can we all move on to issues that are really important to all of us?
