Good question, hopefully you can get some good info. What type of music do you play?

Hello everyone!!! As you can tell I'm new here. I'm on a mission to start a band! Not just any kind of band but one that's driven to bring wholesome, and unique sounds to every ear that happens by. I'm an acoustic guitar player and singer, I have 31 original songs and it grows by the month. The personal flavor that I have is a combination of rock, jazz, folk, and funk. I love all kinds of music and would respect what anyone has to bring to what I already have. These are times when the music scene in DC is in desperate need of a band that can groove, bring the funk, and give a little food for thought too. There's no reason why it can't be us! Let's give it a shot. If you play anything (especially drums, bass, keyboard, wind instrument, guitar, or keyboard) do not pass me by. Knowing what it's like trying to find like minded and positive individuals to jam with and make a positive influence in this world filled with "pop stars". It's difficult and I wish you all the best. You sound very positive, dedicated, and hard working. You've got what it takes and I hope that you encounter MANY wonderful and positive people on your road like yourself. I like you only play my own stuff. I have 31 songs currently. Like you I have ABSOLUTLY no interest in playing covers. I believe that I have my own voice and that that is what I should be putting out there. I love what other people have done, it's inspired me to do what I do, but it's my turn to step up and get my sound out there. I'd love to jam with you but I have a heavy Dave Matthews Influence and I'm not sure how you'd feel about that. Either way take care of yourself and I wish you only the best. Good luck my friend. I hope you're still checking this. I just thought that I'd give you a reply and let you know that I'm interested. I don't have a cd yet just lots of tapes. A cd will be on the way once I have found someone who'd not going to rob me. I think I have something fun and unique going on and I need all the help I can get with getting my sound out there. I'm new around here also. I put up a post very recently (it's still on here). I'm very interested in starting a band myself. I've been playing for six years. I haven't done anything as big as you, all coffee houses and funerals. I'm not classically trained or anything like that. I just sound nice. I've got 31 original songs and it grows by the month. What kind of band are you interested in. I gather a country rock band but I mean in detail. What kind of vision do you have for your music? Peace, Theo

Hello everyone I'm new to the forum . Let's get straight to the point. I'm a guitarist and I'm tired of playing by myself. I have 31 original compositions and it's time to take them to the next level. I NEED A BAND!!!! I'm willing to jam with anyone and see what can be brought forth. I'm very passionate about what I've got and what I'd like to do. I need a drummer, bassist, lead guitarist, and anything else that's out there. I'm also looking for new places to play. My overall style is jazz,funk, and rock. Anything that anyone has to offer and wants to bring to the table will be considered but definantly respected. I'm about the MUSIC!!!
