  1. The crisis is over Help has arrived. Some people stand in the darkness Afraid to step into the light Some people need to help somebody When the edge of surrender's in sight Don't you worry It's gonna be alright Cause I'm always ready I won't let you out of my sight. I'll be ready I'll be ready Never you fear No don't you fear I'll be ready Forever and always I'm always here. David Hasselhoff
  2. Finally someone on these boards has a brain. Moss is the best we can hope for. Gibbs should be able to motivate him to play the way he only can. But, now my dream of having the NFL's two fastest receivers (Moss and Coles) on the same team has vanished. Sigh
  3. Did anyone see this? This is getting of control
  4. Here is what Bob DuPuy, Major League Baseball's President, stated: DuPuy said on Sunday that MLB wouldn't be adverse to a plan that included private financing, but baseball "had no intention" of extending the end-of-the-year deadline stipulated in the original agreement. That deal, signed by MLB and Williams on Sept. 29, called for the stadium to be paid for by a special assessment on only the biggest businesses in the District, plus fees charged to fans, who actually attend games at the facility. No general funds dollars were earmarked for the project, although the bonds written to pay for construction costs would be backed by the full faith and credit of the city. That deal also called for the District to pay $19 million to the new owners of the Nationals to help defray costs if the ballpark was not completed in time for the 2008 season. The team is slated to play at 43-year-old RFK Stadium for at least the next three seasons. That cost would no longer be solely a city liability under Monday's abridged deal.
  5. Here is a quote of the woman who killed baseball in DC
  6. The Redskins still lead the all-time series And Gibbs all Redskins fans still think you are the greatest.
  7. What???????????????????????????????????? was Ramsey thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! intercepted by Brian Dawkins. Why Did he throw that??????????????????????????????????
  8. The Redskins Defense is doing a great job of containing McNabb in the pocket. Philly only had the ball 47 seconds on that drive.
  9. One of the most prolific receivers in league history and one of the most entertaining players in all of sports, Terrell Owens will bring his big-play ability and toughness to the Eagles offense after being acquired in a highly-publicized three-way trade involving Baltimore and San Francisco on 3/16/03. A four-time Pro Bowl selection, Owens has hauled in 592 receptions for 8,572 yards and 81 TDs in his first 8 NFL seasons. His 20 catches vs. Chicago in 2000 set an all-time NFL record and his 51 TD grabs since 2000 leads all NFL receivers in that time span. A 3rd round draft choice out of Tennessee-Chattanooga.
  10. Career Highlights Ramsey solidified himself as one of the brightest and toughest young quarterbacks in the NFL after a promising season in 2003 as the Redskins full-time starting quarterback. The Redskins first round pick in 2002, Ramsey has started 16 games and appeared in 20 during his two-year career. He has completed 296-of-564 passes for 3,705 yards and 23 touchdowns and 17 interceptions, translating into a 74.2 quarterback rating. Last season he emerged as the teams' undisputed starter, and flourished before being hampered by a foot injury that made him miss five games. In his 11 starts, Ramsey threw for 2,166 yards on 179-of-337 passing with 14 scores and nine interceptions. He put his name on the map of young quarterbacks very early in the season, when he led the Redskins to a close victory over the Jets on national television then followed up with a 356-yard passing performance in a victory over Atlanta the following week. He also emerged as a team leader on the field and in the community. How Acquired: Selected by the Washington Redskins in the first round of the 2002 NFL Draft (32nd overall).
  11. Washington Redskins are smelling an UPSET!!!!
  12. The Redskins have quietly adjusted their run game after forcing Clinton Portis to run the fabled "counter trey", which requires patience by the runner to wait for blocks to form and the ability to cut back. The Redskins are now tinkering with the Colts' patented "stretch play". Portis is a north/south runner who likes to hit the hole quickly, and on the stretch play he can do that without having to worry about cutting back against the grain.
  13. #5 Donovan McNabb A multi-dimensional threat from the quarterback position, Donovan McNabb can make plays with his arm, his feet, his strength, his toughness, and his creativity. His leadership and play-making ability has helped raise the standards of success of this franchise since 1999, when the Eagles chose him with the 2nd overall pick in the draft. Along the way, McNabb has become one of the NFL’s most recognizable and elite players, and was rewarded with a lucrative, 12-year contract extension in 2002. A four-time Pro Bowler who has led the Eagles to three NFC Championship game appearances and more postseason wins (5) than any other quarterback in team history, the youthful McNabb has his eyes focused on even loftier goals.
  14. Series History The Redskins and Eagles have met a total of 138 times over their long rivalry, dating back to 1934. These two teams last played in Week 11 with the Eagles winning at Lincoln Financial Field by a score of 28-6. The Redskins hold the series lead with a record of 72-61-5, although the Eagles have won the last six games these two teams have played. Up until the Eagles' win streak, the clubs had split victories dating back to 1996, with each team winning one regular season contest per year. The Redskins and Eagles have met only once in post-season play, with the Redskins winning that contest 20-6 in 1990 at Veteran's Stadium.
  15. Redskins at Night The Redskins are 11-9-1 on Sunday Night Football. At FedExField, the Redskins are 3-6-1 in night games, including a 1-1-1 record on Sunday Night, an 0-1 record on Saturday night, a 1-0 record on Thursday night and a 1-4 mark on Monday Night. The Redskins are 11-9-1 all-time in games televised by ESPN. The cable network, which started televising NFL games in 1987, also featured the Redskins Week 5 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, 17-10. The network had two Redskins games last season, both losses: The Redskins lost to the Miami Dolphins at Pro Player Stadium in Week 12 by a score of 24-23 and to Philadelphia at FedExField in the season finale by a score of 31-7
  16. Too bad LaVar Arrington was declared inactive for Sunday night's game, the 11th consecutive game that the Pro Bowl linebacker has missed as a result of arthroscopic knee surgery in late September. Arrington returned to practice last week, but even with three days of work with the scout team, team officials decided that he was not conditioned well enough for game action.
  17. Here is a quote from Joe Gibbs... Amen.
  18. Finally we got some real Skins on the boards here tonight. Thanks guys for shouting out. The Washington Redskins have an offense that's finally clicking and nothing to lose in tonight's rematch with the streaking Philadelphia Eagles.
  19. Claim: The outcome of Washington Redskins home football games has correctly predicted the winner of every U.S. presidential election since 1936. Status: not any more. Claim: Any Washington Redskins Head Coach under Dan Snyder that wins one Superbowl can be elected President since 2004. Status: Joe Gibbs do you want my vote?
