Wetland Scientist/Ecologist Job Opening

CH2M HILL's Northeast Region is looking for a talented junior level Wetland Scientist/Ecologist to join our Environmental Business Group. This position will focus on supporting wetland and permitting projects and a broader range of ecologically-oriented projects in our growing ecosystems practice. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, responsibilities are likely to include the characterization and evaluation of wetland, aquatic, and terrestrial habitats, the evaluation and interpretation of biological and chemical data, the development and preparation of permit applications and other technical reports, and the development of ecological sampling and monitoring plans. In addition to a strong technical background, the successful candidate will be a team player and have excellent oral and written communication skills.


Basic Qualifications: -BA/BS, from a U.S. accredited college or university, in a basic or applied science discipline which has a focus in Ecology/Natural resources

-Must have an ecological background with applied field experience

-Background in wetland science and the ability to analyze quantitative data sets and to effectively prepare technical reports/documentation is required


Preferred Qualifications: -BA/BS and MA/MS degree in a basic or applied science discipline which has a focus in Ecology/Natural Resources as well as 2 years of professional experience doing fieldwork in ecology and performing wetland delineations

-Strong writing skills

-Experience working with the Army Corps and other related permitting processes are preferred
