Rees and his people this past week blasted all of Glover Park with his flyers and you no sign of you. We watch all online activity of the candidates and mainly Rees is the only active one except Robert Gordon who is doing some. If you noticed the changes, Rees platform seems to have withdraw that which was designed to benefot the gay community. Anybody care to guess why? Rees.. I will not vote for you. Frank Either that or he realized how quickly and easily his claim about "USA and Rees Vs. Daro Realty" would be discredited. Anyone with access to actual legal databases quickly found out the truth about the actual case. Not to mention people who actually were involved in the case or are acquainted with people who were ;-) Perhaps he's had a lucid moment and realized how bizarre and damaging the whole sorry enterprise was?................. Nah. I imagine that some of the libel victims, who saw some of the infamous now-deleted posts, have responded in the expected way, too. PS: Thank God for screenshots. Back in 1990, I together with the US Dept. of Justice locked horns with a Ward 3 property management company called Daro Realty, Inc. who owns a good number of properties along Connecticut and Wisconsin Avenues, NW. Daro Realty, Inc. made it a pattern and practice of instructing their managers not to rent apartments to African Americans, Gays and Hispanic people. I was the person who rallied up the angry residents managers, took all the evidence to the US Department of Justice and the evidence was so good that the US DOJ only took three days to decide and filed a civil rights –fair housing action suit under federal law and incorporated DC on top of it. The next result of this case was: USA & Rees v. Daro Realty, Inc. & Byron Christiansen United States District Court, District of Columbia Case# 1:90-CV-02150 & 1:90-CV-02150 Hon. Norma Holloway Johnson Daro Realty, Inc., had to quickly integrate its buildings and also offer a set number of jobs to minorities.
