Sr. Human Resources Staffing Manager

Our Notheast Region is currently looking for a senior Human Resources Professional to serve as a Strategic Staffing Manager. Interested candidates must have experience working in an engineering and/or consulting environment, preferably with exposure to civil infrastructure disciplines, i.e. water, wastewater design professionals. In this role you will be a member of the regional business group management team and Human Resources Shared Services Team. You will be accountable for the development of short and long-range strategies for effective leadership in the areas of staffing, recruitment, integration, development and utilization of human resources within the Water Business Group (BG). Responsible and accountable for managing the Regional Administrative indirect budgets and the Regional BG Client Ratio within established metrics. Primary or shared accountability for leadership and development of Business Team/Group Leaders in conjunction with the Market Segment and Operations Leads. Forecasts and plans strategic as well as work load driven staff needs with the Regional Business Group Manager and/or the Regional Business Group Operations Manager. Provides support and strategic service in the following functions: staffing, training, organizational development, performance management, benefits, compensation, employee relations, safety, and risk management. The position will require 30-40% travel. The selected candidate can be located in any office throughout the Northeast Region.


Qualified candidates will 12+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, MS preferred, as well as a Professional Certification in the field. Specialized skills needed to perform this job effectively include:

• Strong understanding of the business group market segments and their competitors

• Strong analytic skills related to staff planning and forecasting

• Strong knowledge of a variety of recruiting and the staffing and human resources management concepts, practices, and procedures.

• Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

• Very strong leadership and interpersonal skills

• Hands on working exposure with operational, business development, project delivery and technology professionals.

• Ability to delegate effectively and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Strong HR knowledge and competency in the areas of performance management, learning and development, rewards and recognition, employee relations, risk management, compensation and organizational development.
