Welcome to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport located in Arlington County, Virginia just 4 miles from downtown Washington DC.

Security Screening Procedures at the Airport:

TSA has implemented changes to the Passenger Security Screening Procedures. These changes include:

 

No cigarette lighters of any kind will be permitted inside security in U.S. airports beginning April 14, 2005.

 

Remove ALL outer layers of clothing and place them on the X-ray belt. This includes suit and sport coats, athletic warm-up jackets, and blazers. If the coat or jacket is used as the innermost layer of clothing, you do not need to remove it.

 

A more extensive pat down will be conducted if you alarm the metal detector or are referred to additional screening. As is the case today, screeners will announce the process as they conduct the inspection. You may also request a private screening.

 

Parking:

Reagan National provides daily and hourly parking in Parking Garages A, B and C and Lot A-2. Economy parking is located at the south end of the Airport.

 

There is no charge for vehicles exiting within 20 minutes of entry at any of the parking facilities. Free shuttle service is provided from all parking facilities, at 6-7 minute intervals, for passengers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Hourly parking is intended for a stay of less than two hours. Daily parking is intended for a stay of one or two days. Economy parking is intended for extended stays.

Ground Transportation:

Metrorail Station Location: 2400 S. Smith Blvd., Arlington, VA

 

Location: Opposite main terminal (Courtesy van to old terminal)

 

First train departs: Station opens- 5:00 a.m. Huntington- 5:41 a.m. Mt Vernon Sq 7th St-Convention- 5:10 a.m. Largo Town Center- 5:18 a.m. Franconia-Springfield- 5:30 a.m.

(Trains leave starting at 7 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.)

 

Last train departs: Huntington- 12:10 a.m. Mt. Vernon Sq-UDC- 11:44 p.m.

Largo Town Center- 11:47 p.m. Franconia-Springfield- 12:26 a.m.

(Trains leave exactly 3 hours later on Friday and Saturday nights.)
