Contracts Administrator

CH2M HILL’s Contracts team currently has a Senior Contract Administrator opening. The opening can be in our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Parsippany, New Jersey, or our Herndon, Virginia office. As an integral member of our team you will have the opportunity to provide subcontracting and procurement support for our Environmental Business Group. Your daily responsibilities will include assisting requesters in completing purchase requisitions; selecting vendors; negotiating with vendors; issuing Requests for Proposals and Requests for Quotes, issuing and administering appropriate subcontracts and purchase orders; expediting and following up on purchases; resolving non-performance problems; maintaining purchase order and subcontract files; and processing supplier invoices for payment. Develops and maintains a database of qualified local, regional, and corporate suppliers and subcontractors, with performance history. Work closely with Subcontract Manager as member of Subcontract/Procurement Team. Will assist with maintaining and ensuring compliance with CH2M HILL policies and procedures consistent with the terms of the contract, applicable regulations. Maintains complete and accurate subcontract files. Ensures that corporate subcontract files are current. Conducts contract negotiations with subcontractors. Support/participate in the development of cost and management proposals. Incorporates accurate cost data in the preparation of proposal and contract pricing information. Proposal activities to include estimating subcontract cost/price analysis. Support/participate in subcontract procurements (i.e. solicit/select/award). Performs post award subcontracting activities to ensure compliance with contract terms and applicable regulations in a cost-effective, timely and responsive manner. Performs/supports subcontractor invoice review to ensure compliance of contract terms and accuracy of charges. Prepares the small business plan reports. Provides information for subcontract auditing; reviews subcontractor audit reports and implements audit recommendations; coordinates audit responses with audit agencies and clients.


Interested Candidates must have a Bachelors of Science degree, multiple bachelors and higher education (i.e., masters, J.D.) is highly desirable plus seven to ten years of progressive purchasing, accounting or contract/subcontract administration experience and be able to interface with project/technical staff at many levels. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software packages required. Oracle purchasing software will be a plus. Ability to work in a fast paced, results oriented environment is required.
