TSUNAMI WILDLIFE BENEFIT

this Thursday February 10th!

ADVANCED TICKET PURCHASES ONLY-SPACE IS LIMITED!

ORDER ONLINE AT http://nationalzoo.si.edu/forms/yp/

This Valentine's Day, give your love to animals and

habitats. Although many animals escaped the tsunami, we

don't yet know how their homes, breeding grounds, and their

food sources were affected. Zoo scientists have been in Sri

Lanka surveying the damage to coastal habitats. These habitats

are home to endangered elephants, fishing cats, leopards, and

rusty spotted cats.

You can help these animals survive by attending an

exciting happy hour to celebrate Valentine's Day and

raise funds to support the Sri Lankan Wildlife Fund.

Mingle in the exclusive indoor setting of the Elephant House.

Enjoy wine, hors d'oeuvres, and a special chocolate fondue station.

There will be animal keepers on hand to talk about the

Zoo's Asian elephants. Event attendees will also have the opportunity

to attend a post-event lecture, The Blunt Arrow of Cupid:

Why Endangered Carnivores Struggle to Reproduce in Zoos.

February 10 at 6:00 p.m. reception in the Elephant House

7:30 p.m. lecture in the Visitor Center

$25 YP Members, $35 non-members

Space is limited so purchase your tickets today at
