American Art collection spans from 1718 to 1945 is a vast array of landscape paintings, genre scenes, portraits, and sculptures. The strength of the collection is revealed with Husaon River School Painting, American Impressionism, ande early 20th-century realism.

Decorative Arts collection is comprised of various media works. This collection has Greek antiquities, Italian Renaissance maiolica, Islamic carpets, 18th century French tapestries, furniture, architectural ornamentation, and modern and contemporary ceramics. The centerpiece of this collection is a gilded French period room called the Salon Dore.

European Art collection spans the 14th through the early 20th centuries, and includes painting, sculpture, and works on paper. You will view 17th-century Dutch landscape and genre paintings, British paintings, and French paintings., The in house works by artists Jean-Baptise-Camille Corot, Jean-Baptiste-Siméon Chardin, Eugène Delacroix, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet, Thomas Gainsborough, Joshua Reynolds, Gerard ter Borch, and Aelbert Cuyp are also included in this collection.

Modern and Comtemporary Art form the core of the Corcoran’s mission and identity. The collection features works from post-war artists such as Willem de Kooning, Ellsworth Kelly, Cy Twombly, Richard Diebenkorn, Joan Mitchell, Bruce Nauman, Martin Puryear, Jessica Stockholder, Anne Truitt, Robert Colescott, and others.

Photography and Media Arts Collection the Corcoran is known as an early adopter of photographs as part of a museum collection. The collection now includes more than 6,500 photographs, videos, and digital works, which together reflect diverse ideas and styles important to the evolution of photographic history.

After a full day of seeing wonders the group will walk to the museums Todd Gray’s Muse for a most deserved lunch.
The lunch will include your choice of sandwiche, dessert, and drink.
