Northeast Regional Business Manager

This highly visible, strategically responsible position requires a candidate with a strong financial management background to provide visionary advice and expert financial direction to the Regional Manager and senior management team. As an integral member of the regional management team and project delivery system, this position is responsible for effectively leading and managing the business, administrative and technical services staff/functions to achieve region’s performance goals. Duties include managing the region’s capital budgeting and allocations processes. Analyze regional financial performance (relative to regional business indicators of labor revenue, multiplier, staff utilization, overheads, cash flow, NBI, capital resources, WIP & A/R). In conjunction with the regional management team, manage and be responsible for region’s controllable overhead cost. Initiate corrective action; lead follow-through efforts and report results. Participate in regional strategic planning, lead business planning processes and assist in implementation. Develop relationships with clients and businesses, professionals, and community organizations. Assist in addressing firm wide operational issues with OPS Business Managers and the other Regional Business Managers Via matrix management, coordinate integrated regional approach to project delivery linking Contracts, Project Controls, Accounting as well as all Regional Business group Project Delivery Managers. Lead and manage the region’s business services staff and functions, including the following: Facilities Operation services, accounting, contract administration, information technology, and document production. Manage the region’s project investment in partnership with project delivery managers, accounting and regional business group managers. Manage and provide leadership with the related project investment processes. As required, coordinate administrative activities with the regional HRM. Act as liaison with corporate on business processes, practices, guidelines, policies and procedures, and provide training to regional staff. Assure appropriate business services staffing, training, mentoring and QC/QI. Foster a positive working environment. Assist project managers and consulting staff by providing support to proposal preparation, contract reviews, pricing strategies, project negotiations, loss prevention, risk management, quality control plans and client audits. Manage or co-manage the region’s contracting processes. Participate in client/subcontractor contract negotiations.


Requires BS or MS degree in a technical or business discipline. Demonstrated background in Finance and Administration, specifically in Facilities Operation Services, Accounting, Contract Administration, Information Technology, and Document Production. Strong strategic/business planning acumen

is preferred. Incumbents typically have a minimum of 15 years professional experience.
