Sr. Contract Manager

Consulting Services – Federal

Reston, VA

 

Qualifications / Requirements:

·BA/BS; MA or Law degree

·Minimum of 8 years experience in drafting and negotiating fixed price and time and materials commercial, federal, state and/or local government contracts;

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·Diplomacy, flexibility and tack (professional demeanor)

·Expert knowledge of the FAR/DFARS

·Organized, detail-oriented and refined time management skills

·Ability to work independently under high stress, time critical deadlines

·Proficient in EMAIL, MS Word and Excel

·Prior experience in high tech industry, consulting or professional services industry

 

Responsibilities:

·Review and advise sales managers on all solicited and unsolicited proposals prior to submission of proposals to prospective clients.

·Draft/negotiate non-standard Confidential Disclosure Agreements, Subcontract Agreements, Service Agreements, Fixed Price and Time and Materials type contracts based on requests from consulting managers within the practice.

·Provide proactive review and counsel consulting/sales managers prior to submission of proposals to prospective clients and provide Proposal Manager with contractual language to mitigate risk in accord with current Business Practices.

·Advise consulting/sales managers on business approval requirements for proposals, contracts and any non-standard terms resulting from negotiations.

·Analyze proposed contract terms and conditions and provide feedback to consultants on issues of concerns and recommend alternatives.

·Participate in Customer negotiations.

·Act as liaison between consultants, Credit, License, Tax, Business Practices, RevRec, and customers to resolve contractual and consulting business issues;

·Business Practices and the Contract Management Process.

·Schedule and conduct periodic in-house training for consultants on Consulting Contracts Process.

·Identify, recommend and initiate innovative process improvements.

·Assist with new hire training (as required)

·Prepare weekly contract status report.
