Looking for something fun to do during the day in DC?? The Smithsonian Folklife Festival is back but for a limited time! The Festival is taking place from June 30- July 4 and July 7-11. This is a FREE local event with a lot going on between the hours of 11:00 am and 5:30 pm.

The Festival is located in the middle of all the museums. If you are coming on the Metro the best stop to get off at would be the Smithsonian station which is on the orange line. Federal Triangle and National Archives are two other stations right around the corner. Parking is limited so the metro is your best bet on easily getting to the festival and back home!

There are many special events that are happening after the festival hours. To see those events simply click on the following link! Special Events I hope everyone is able to check it out becuase it sure will be a good time!

I'm not sure what the attractions are this year. Last year the Smithsonian Institute Folklife Festival featured outstanding examples of different cultures displaying their traditions and cultures, to be enjoyed by visitors of the National Mall. 2010 featured cultures were Asian Pacific Americans and Mexico.
