Summer Interns in Washington DC

DCpages.com is offering undergraduate students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience this summer via internships in our marketing and sales department. We are seeking highly motivated students who are excellent writers and possess strong interpersonal, communications, and research skills. You must be comfortable making cold calls and giving presentations, committed to gaining new clients, winning and working in a team sales environment, have demonstrated experience prospecting and growing an account list, as well as know how to close a sale. Interns also must be results-driven and committed to proactively pitching new business opportunities. Course work in communications, journalism, marketing or business is helpful, but not required. Academic credit is encouraged.


Internet advertising is now recognized as the fastest growing segment of the advertising business!

• Master the latest techniques and strategies of marketing via the Internet

• Learning overall strategies and special techniques of online advertising, marketing, and promotion

• Learn effective ways of selling online advertising to both large and small clients

• Work alongside our professional staff in helping local companies add online advertising to their marketing mix

• Gain practical experience in negotiating and strategic business planning

• Covering various community events throughout our nation's capital that will be featured on our Image Gallery.


Primary responsibilities of interns will include;

• Working with our sales team to solicit online advertising

• Maintaining records of advertisers' accounts and provide friendly, effective customer service

• Assisting in the development of new marketing campaigns

• Writing press releases and other publicity materials

• Assisting in the management of video and photo libraries

• Interacting with members of the media

• Proactively provide smart client research and industry specific information

• Update and create sales proposals

• Provide marketing campaign updates
