This was sent to me from Anne Coulter.

One essential truth about liberals is that they're always playing the victim -- even when they're the victimizers.

To hear them tell it, you'd think they do nothing but suffer at the hands of ruthless entities like the "Republican Attack Machine" and Fox News.

Really?

It's just another instance of the Big Lie, of course, told so often that some people have actually started to believe it.

The democrats should not say that they will weed out corruption when they themselves ARE corrupt.

Their latest spending spree proves that hands down.

What the general public does not understand is that, the tarp funds WILL restore liquidity into the system. The rest is just basically politics.

When 21 of the richest nations get together, and say that Liquidity will be restored by MARCH, it aint kinda, or maybe "It WILL be done".

Citigroup just released details on how they plan to use TARP Funds

Citi (NYSE: C) today issued its first quarterly progress report detailing the deployment of the $45 billion of capital the U.S. Treasury invested in the company as part of the federal government's Troubled Asset Relief Program, or TARP. The report, which covers the fourth quarter of 2008, is titled, "What Citi is Doing to Expand the Flow of Credit, Support Homeowners and Help the U.S. Economy."

Citi's goals in deploying TARP capital are threefold: to help expand available credit for consumers and businesses; restore liquidity and stability to the capital markets; and support the recovery of the U.S. economy. The report describes the procedures Citi has established to oversee its deployment of TARP capital, as well as other efforts the company is making to help Americans remain in their homes, assist distressed borrowers and support U.S. businesses and communities. Citi will update the report each quarter. A copy of today's report can be found on Citi's Web site at www.citigroup.com.

Citi Chief Executive Officer Vikram Pandit said, "Americans from all walks of life are facing real economic hardship, and Citi must do whatever we can to help them. Our responsibility is to put TARP capital to work quickly, prudently, and transparently to support U.S. consumers, businesses and our communities during these challenging times.

"To this end, Citi is working in partnership with the Government to increase available lending and liquidity in the U.S financial markets and to help put the U.S. economy back on track," Mr. Pandit added. "We have already approved $36.5 billion in initiatives backed by TARP capital that are consistent with the objectives and spirit of the Treasury program. And, as part of our ongoing business, Citi continues to lend to consumers and businesses in the United States, where we extended approximately $75 billion in new loans during the fourth quarter."

Citi's TARP investments, combined with the wide range of other initiatives detailed in today's report, are central to the company's effort to address the financial and economic pressures on individuals, families and businesses.

Citi continues to focus on supporting the U.S. housing market. Since the start of the housing crisis in 2007, Citi has worked successfully with approximately 440,000 homeowners, whose combined mortgages total approximately $43 billion, to avoid potential foreclosure. Last year, Citi was able to keep approximately four out of five distressed borrowers with mortgages serviced by Citi in their homes.

Additionally, Citi is adopting the streamlined model for post-delinquency loan modification programs developed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Through the Citi Homeowner Assistance Program, the company continues to reach out to families and individuals who may be experiencing some form of economic stress despite being current on their payments. Citi is also continuing its foreclosure moratorium for eligible borrowers with Citi-owned mortgages who seek to remain in their primary residence and have sufficient income to make affordable mortgage payments. Citi has worked with investors and owners of more than 90 percent of the 4.3 million mortgages it services – but does not own – to make sure that many more qualified borrowers can also receive the benefits of this moratorium.

Shortly after Citi received the initial TARP investment, the company created a Special TARP Committee of senior executives to approve and track how the company uses these funds. In the fourth quarter of 2008, the Committee authorized $36.5 billion for initiatives across its various businesses.

In the first stage of primary lending and secondary market activities directly linked to the TARP investments, Citi is putting capital to work in five major areas as follows:

U.S. residential mortgage activities – $25.7 billion

Citi is making mortgage loans directly to homebuyers and supporting the housing market through the purchase of prime residential mortgages and mortgage-backed securities in the secondary market.

Personal and business loans – $2.5 billion

This includes $1.5 billion of consumer lending and $1.0 billion for tailored loans to people and businesses facing liquidity problems.

Student loans – $1 billion

Citi is originating student loans through the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP).

Credit card lending – $5.8 billion

Citi is offering special credit card programs that include expanded eligibility for balance-consolidation offers, targeted increases in credit lines and targeted new account originations.

Corporate loan activity – $1.5 billion

Citi is investing $1.5 billion in commercial loan securitizations, which will inject much needed liquidity into the U.S. corporate loan market.

This IS Washington D.C. after all. Taking people to 100.00 plus lunches is perfectly normal in this town. "Remember a while back ago on this board that a guy came in, and was typing that his friend sells his body just to keep up a certain appearance in this town?" The Washington D.C. Atmosphere is a Leading Contributor to these types of behaviors.

I mean Honestly, Does anyone in here think that that when Hillary Clinton Hosts a party that it will cost any thing under 5k?

If the Democrats want to point fingers? They best start pointing to themselves.

I just want to know why the Democrats and Republicans just spent all this money having lavish Caucus meetings. Why could they not do it in a federal building. They really set a bad example for everyone.

Operations for Barack Obamas Inauguration.

Well guess who got a contract for the 2010 census? That's right! Sprint.

press release

Jun 30, 2009, 8:00 a.m. EST

Sprint Is Exclusive Wireless Data Provider for 2010 Census

Harris Corporation Selects Sprint over Rivals to Provide Integrated Wireline and Wireless Support for First Time Automated Data Collection.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Jun 30, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Every ten years, the U.S. Census is required by law to collect and count data in an accurate, timely and efficient manner. To further boost accuracy and efficiency, Harris Corporation, the system integrator for the upcoming 2010 Census, has selected Sprint /quotes/comstock/13*!s/quotes/nls/s (S 4.32, 0.00, 0.00%) as the exclusive wireless data provider to help automate the process and to provide wireline and wireless data support to collect the information in real-time.

"Sprint provides the best value for the government by offering a cost-effective converged solution for the cellular and landline data needs of the program, while also leveraging a robust portfolio of managed services and their secure and reliable Now Network," said Mike Murray, Vice President, Harris Census Programs. "As a result of the combined solutions and technology provided by Sprint and Harris, the 2010 Decennial Census is expected to be the most accurate in U.S. history."

Beginning in April 2009, approximately 140,000 field workers carried the Harris custom-built devices operating on the Sprint network, with the ability to transmit collected data back to the Census Bureau in near real-time. In addition to their unique data collection capabilities, all hand held devices were equipped with GPS capabilities (allowing workers to verify addresses remotely without relying on printed maps) and fingerprint ID scanning for added security.

In addition, Sprint is providing several other solutions for this program, including:

-- Approximately 500 Sprint Global MPLS sites across United States, allowing local Census offices to connect on a single IP-based network

-- Roughly 1,500 managed devices including routers, switches, firewalls and Intrusion Detection Service (IDS) for additional security

-- More than 150,000 active telemetry wireless devices that will allow workers to collect data remotely, resulting in more accurate reporting and substantially less use of paper

-- About 1,500 mobile broadband connection cards, offering high speed connectivity on America's most dependable 3G network*

-- Significant professional services and integration expertise such as on-site security management, dedicated program management, and data center hosting services from Sprint, providing the critical infrastructure "glue" for one of the most complex activities of 2010

In past years, data was collected manually by thousands of field workers through paper address lists, printed maps and complex work assignments. The process was time consuming, expensive and often hampered by delays. To reduce its operational costs and increase efficiency and accuracy, the U.S. Census Bureau decided to use an automated system to directly capture data for the address canvassing portion of the 2010 Census.

The Field Data Collection Automation (FDCA) database designed and supported by Harris, will automate the collection and management of addresses and GPS data, to enable the first virtually paperless conduct of the address canvassing effort.

"Sprint is honored to play a critical role in this historic evolution of the Decennial Census program for 2010," said Bill White, vice president for Federal Programs at Sprint. "Given our wireless data and IP leadership and Sprint's highly dependable Now Network, we offer the most integrated wireless and wireline solutions in the industry. Our support will help the program reduce their costs, increase efficiency and deliver accurate information in real-time."

It is expected that ongoing system and network integration provided by Sprint and Harris will allow the FDCA program to ultimately save time and deliver more accurate results, faster. The network services from Sprint will also help allow the bureau to meet the security requirements imposed by Title 13 of the U.S. code.

Sprint serves Harris and the U.S. Census through its newly formed Business Markets Group (BMG). Composed of more than 4,000 sales, support, marketing and operations personnel, Sprint's BMG is dedicated solely to enterprise, general business and public sector customers. BMG delivers wireless, wireline and converged solutions for companies, drawing on the nation's most dependable 3G mobile broadband network,* 4G capabilities that are well ahead of Sprint's competition, the fastest national push-to-talk network,** and a comprehensive solutions portfolio of devices and applications.
