"CITY LIVING, DC STYLE!" EXPO, OCTOBER 24 - 26, 2003

From neighborhood profiles to on-the-spot financing assistance, from renting an apartment to buying your first house, come to the EXPO for everything but a set of keys-and learn about the incentives for you to live in the District:

 

- First-time homebuyers can receive up to $5,000 in federal income tax credits

 

- Receive a low-interest loan for a down payment, closing costs or other expenses associated with buying a house or condo

 

- The District's Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) can be worth $1,035 to you and your family

 

The EXPO will feature workshops and seminars on all aspects of living in the District, from the city's housing incentives to its cultural options, as well as live entertainment, radio broadcasts and free giveaways.

 

 

 

The "city living, dc style!" campaign is part of Mayor Williams' effort to bring 100,000 new residents into the District. The campaign is a partnership between the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development and the Washington, D.C. Marketing Center.
